I enrolled my 4 year-old daughter a few months ago. I wanted an academy that was a combination of fun, challenging and disciplined. My daughter asks every day if we have karate class; class is the highlight and apogee of her day! She loves attending so much, we decided to also enroll her in the academys summer camp.The academy has exceeded expectations; the staff treats kids and their parents as if they were immediate family members. I highly recommend Cardonas Academy!

The owner here really cares about what he does, that is the most important factor I look for. And he is ready to work with all children at any level. Both my sons love attending the class, and the summer camp.

This is the best place especially right now when children need a safe outlet for stress during quarantine and online classes. The space at the academy is clean and the staff is always disinfecting and working safely with the kids. Master Djon and his family of teachers and students over the years have helped so many kids mine included to stand strong, proud, respectful, grateful, and focused. Each child is expected to work to the best of their ability and the teachers are incredibly patient and accommodating. I have a 9 year old boy in taekwondo and a 5 year old girl in tumbling. They both do chores and homework without complaint so that they can always go to Cardona’s as an award. Wonderful place. Can’t recommend more highly.

My daughter has been attending over a year and I honestly wish I can rate it more stars. Since inquiring about a summer camp last year, the first conversation I had with master Jhon was more than basic information, he was very attentive to our needs and the fact that I was able to start my daughter at such a young age at the time, 3, was amazing. She is being taught so much more than martial arts, she is able to build relationships, build trust, self-esteem, and learn discipline. Even during the pandemic, I felt safe bringing my daughter knowing that the family and staff take the guidelines and precautions very seriously, so there was no doubt we would be back when we were able to. The fact that she will be able to go when the school year starts is a plus. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who is needing a safe childcare and also wanting their child to learn self-defense, discipline, and so much more. We definitely love the family and staff at Cardonas Academy.

We love Cardonas Academy! My oldest son has been going to the school for aftercare and karate lessons for about 6 years now. Everyone at the school is always so supportive and encouraging, from the instructors to the students themselves. The students learn discipline and have fun together. My son has formed some great friendships here. My youngest son could not wait to join Cardonas for summer camp this year. He is a wild one, so I’m grateful for all the exercise and activities at the school. Especially being full time working parents with essential jobs, we’ve always felt so relieved to have the kids in good care, while we are at work. Another plus for us is that Cardonas picks up their students from school for their aftercare program. ... and the parents nights out are always so much fun for the kids!For us, Cardonas has become a part of our extended family! I know my kids are in the best hands here and they have learned so much along the way.

This place really does care about each child that is in the class. My sons is so much better at listening. Not only in class but also learning lessons that will be helpful and valuable thru his life. Thank you so much we love you guys!

I love everything about this place!!!! Very caring family oriented staff who are always there to encourage and offer kind words and reassurance. My son has been there for 2 years and I am amazed at the level of discipline and responsibility that they work to instill in him and all their students. Definitely recommend 100%.

This is a wonderful family owned business that very much cares for each child. They work to build up your childs confidence which leads leads to your child being more respectful and having overall better behavior. I enrolled both my children here and what a difference a couple of months makes. My son was not confident in himself and was timid and sometimes fearful of trying to new things. After a few months taking karate and being under the guidance of Master Jhon and all the instructors, he was not fearful and shy anymore and he was talking and acting a lot more respectfully. Sending him to this particular karate school has made all the difference in the world and we couldnt be happier. My daughter had confidence...maybe a little too much at times. The classes and guidance given here I believe helped her put her attitude and mouthiness under control. She is so respectful and responsible now which has made this mama proud. The classes and exercise here are top notch and the children stay busy and happy throughout the whole day. Cardonas was our first after school care/camp experience. I will admit I was very nervous thinking about leaving my children at a facility with people I didnt know. But after speaking with Master Jhon I felt instantly at ease and assured that my child would be safe and secure here. Safety and cleanliness has always been their #1 priority. I know because I used to work there before Covid. The team at Cardonas keep a watchful eye on the kids - not that kids dont act like kids - but they are always there to guide children in the right direction. This school was always super clean prior to Covid - I know because I used to help clean and I know their cleaning style (which is to stay very clean...always). Now they have enhanced their cleaning techniques even more due to Covid, so you cant ask for a cleaner place to send your kids. You will not regret sending your kids to this school for either after school care or any of their camps for spring break, winter break, or summer camp. Get ready for your kids to come home with better behavior and listening skills! I should have written this review a long time ago and Im sorry I didnt write it sooner. Better late than never! Cant recommend this place enough. It is definitely the gold standard. I would give 10 stars if I could. :-)

My childs been here and thrived for 5 years! Great management in terms of the kids well being and safety. Challenging but fun, flexible, state of the art gyms there are 3 total and they work really hard to make sure the kids are in a positive learning environment with tons of fun activities! Ive never seen a child care after school center so organized. They never fail to impress me. Thank you!

This place is phenomenal and that is a rare find in terms of top quality child care, karate choices, tumbling, and after school programs. They offer so much variety and fun for the kids they are never bored and meet lots of friends. My daughter has enjoyed going here since she was 4!! Highly recommend!

We celebrated our Sons birthday at Cardonas. What an Amazing experience we had !! The Owner and staff were wonderful in every single way possible, they went beyond the call and made sure everything was fine and everybody had a great time! A wonderful place for children AND adults to learn Martial Arts. The staff is warm and welcoming and the teachers somehow make pushing yourself a fun I want to do more experience. Mr. Jhon and Mrs. Giovanna are absolutely AMAZING!!! Ever since my son started going there over 3 years ago they have helped my son through many obstacles. My son is doing so much better than before. This is a family oriented gym. They teach the kids to respect each other and to have discipline in all things. They have programs for all ages, including cheer, tumbling, and cross fit. They have something for everyone, and they make it fun. We all love it here. The coaches are the best!!!!

This program has been a huge blessing to me and my son. He enjoys every minute of it. This is a fantastic school, the entire staff truly cares about the children. My daughter (7yrs) takes karate here. My boys have been coming here for the last few years. They attend aftercare, karate and camp. We are extremely happy with the service that the Cardonas Academy provides. I have seen great changes in my boys as they get older and they love going to Cardonas. Its a very clean and family oriented environment and has a no bully tolerance which I love!! Master Jhon and Giovana are exceptional people with big hearts and they Express that to the children. All of their planning for functions, activities, just bring joy to the children. Where can you walk in and be greeted when you arrive by name and asked how was your day? Not here they smile, even after the long day, their door is always open, you can reach them anytime. I am so grateful to have been introduced to the Cardonas family. I say family because that is truly how they treat you. My child has only been in the program for 6 months yet he has learned so much. Master Cardona always has taken the time to speak to me. As a parent that means so much. He treats every child as an individual; and is a great role model for these young people. Worth every dollar.

I had a tough time finding a place that actually taught my kid something versus just sitting around playing games and being baby sat. My daughter is learning respect and also discipline as well as Karate from the Academy. My son and I visited this facility back in April, tour didnt go so well no one really helped me until master john heard my cries that none was helping me he then included and help my child and I appreciated it but not a great 1st visit. My child has ADHD and he desperately needed an outlet to cope w some active and anger issues and i thought karate would be amazing. this place is quite expensive tried talking to owner to help with the price cause me being a single mother desperate for my child to find happiness and interest in something i just couldnt afford the class he was trying to get us to sign up for i would have done anything and he was willing to help but for the MORE EXPENSIVE CLASS so i couldnt sign up which saddened myself and more for my son for weeks i thought about this place,then in july i receive a call from Jennifer telling about about a summer promotion they were offering i so wanted to sign up for my child all he talked about was karate. I was so excited for my son. I call to sign us up and we are told NO THAT WAS NOT THE CASE JENNIFER SHOULDNT HAVE CALLED YOU???? Im on a list with other mothers who have visited your place whom you have also called and offered the same summer sale. but then we are being shut down. i call and leave MSG for the owner and i didnt receive a call back. Until i call back today to try to speak with owner and hes keen on not changing his mind of the promotion he called to offer but now is declining. he didnt care to hear my voice on the phone today I tried telling him my son really wants this he didnt care to hear what i had to say ..i know at the end of the day its a business. But now Im just here looking at my child saddened that instead of compassion from a local business in my city. we are being told no dont care and have a nice day.i write this review today with sadness i told the owner i would be writing this review he didnt seem to care.. my child has special needs has lost and been thru so much in his little life i his mother have been thru so much doctors therapist,behavioral visits and all i needed and we wanted was support and we chose the wrong place for support. im very happy to see other families able to enjoy what cardonas have to offer.. but we didnt make the cut.

My 4yo son has been enrolled since May 2015 at Cardonas Academy of Martial Arts and loves it. We needed something to help him get his late afternoon energy out which normally turned into frustration and bad behavior, and karate has been a life saver. Master Jhon, his family, and staff have been wonderful. He has worked with us in regards to bad behavior at home by giving us tools to help motivate our son to do better. He has boosted my sons confidence just over the last 3 months which can clearly be seen with my sons involvement in class. I highly recommend Cardonas for anyone looking for a fun environment for their kids, that will also teach them respect, confidence, and self-defense. I look forward to all the positive results that will come from this experience for my son.

I have been going to Cordonas academy for around 3 months and Im in the best shape ever!!The Trainers are very enthusiastic & encouraging. I take the Cardio Kick boxing classes and as well as learning punching and kicking Techniques which build tremendous confidence, knowing I can defend myself. I have also built my strength & cardio fitness!Highly recommended!!

Horrible place to work for. The owner, for lack of better words, is a slave driver. I was hired as a instructor, but what do they have me doing? Cleaning toilets, watching 20 KIDS AND NOT teaching them anything, and picking kids up from on a old van. And whats worse is that the owner shows favoritism to some people.

Had a terrible experience with after school program at Cardonas. They kick my children out because they dont know how to teach discipline and keep control of children in their class. And there are not enough teachers for the amount of students that are there to keep an eye on all the children. A lot of bullying and a lot of racism in this school. They also did not refund money owed to me for the rest of the week my kids were kicked out.
