Coming up on my brothers birthday, got me thinking about him, and I started reading up on the rehabilitation center he was at!I think my final words will explain why I’m giving them a 1 start ( I wish I could give them a negative million stars)The day my brother came home for this rehab he died of an overdose!! If this message could save at least one life, then I know it helped!

I have several reasons for leaving a poor review. The main reason is the lack of professionalism shown by the techs. God forbid you have legitimate reasons for not following some rules. They are trained to bully you into submission. Youd swear they are asked to imagine you are a dog rather than a client. Also, if you show up to the facility and are under the influence, it doesnt matter because they will have you sign a bunch of papers anyway. They will pretend these signatures are anything but null and void, which brings up MANY legal violations that if you have the patience to challenge, good luck to you. They will sometimes deny you services because you disobeyed a rule. The techs are obligated to inform your therapist if you disobey a rule, and your therapist is equipped to handle the situation. In the medicine line, I had the window slammed shut on me by two different techs. God forbid you are under 30 years of age. They are used to dealing with attitude from younger patients, so God forbid you are a young person in recovery, to them you were forced to come here by a parent and arent really seeking help. The shift supervisor told me that cops have better things to do than give a phone back to some junkie. If you enjoy being seen as some junkie then you will be at the right place. There are many other rehabs in this location and I suggest you avoid this one if you can financially handle a different one. In fact, thinking back to the treatment here sends me into seething fits of rage that any former patient will testify in agreement to.

This place SUCKS!! My little brother came to this facility willingly to get treatment for his substance abuse program and this place is a JOKE! All they care about is your money! The counselors dont go by the 12 step program and the staff that work there are more like prison guards.. give me a break.. I wouldnt waste a trip to treatment on this place. The clinical director is a moron who accused me of taking my brother out on a pass and went to go smoke pot. THEY LOOK AT EVERY PATIENT LIKE SOMEONE WITH ABSOLUTELY NO HOPE.. WHO WOULD WANT TO SEND THEIR FAMILY MEMBER TO A PLACE LIKE THAT?FIND ANOTHER FACILITY.. REALLY!

Summer camp for teenagers that got caught doing Vicodin. Disco dance every morning? Tony Robbins lectures every day? Apparently he owns it and the managers are disciples. If you are looking for real help look elsewhere.

This place is a complete lie staff caries no accountability for their responsibilities. During my time here so far I’ve not had my meds refilled and been out for days. They will say anything to get your insurance money. But, they do not provide any kind of consistent support to their patients. I feel bullied by the situation because I don’t know were else to go and south Florida seems to be filled with scams and over run by fraud. This place is filled by young adults and there is no serious treatment. It is completely unprofessional I am a current resident and just beyond fustrated with my lack of progress. Because I want to get better but don’t have the tools there is barely any one on one therapy. I haven’t even started trauma treatment it’s like they will give you pills and subutex let you have a cell phone but, good luck with anything beyond that.

The reason for the bad review is because of the detox experience. I have been using heroin and xanax for years and was supposedly done detoxing in 4 days. Plus it is way over crowded and takes anywhere from 20-45 minutes for meds, money, phone, food, etc... very hard to talk to someone who is actually in charge and if you are not feeling good, well to bad. Because you will get certain privileges taken away if you dont. Even on your first day here. The techs treat you like your garbage and seem to pick and choose who they like the most, which means getting away with the most. Most of the people keep their phones all the time but when someone else does the same, they get a phone ban.. Seems very unprofessional. They will treat you like royalty if you are paying cash tho and THEN is when you can do what you want.

One of the nicer facilities in South Florida. A bit crowded, especially in the winter months and a bit unorganized which is why the 4 out of 5 stars. Nice rooms with granite kitchens, professionally cleaned every week. Not so great mattresses, hard and cheap which was an issue. But overall the facilities are very nice with a swimming pool, volleyball court, trips to the gym, trips to the beach, shopping trips to Target, daily outside meetings at Stage II. The overcrowding was the biggest issue. It was full to almost capacity with nearly 400 people so a lot of waiting in line-waiting to get meals, waiting to get cell phone, waiting to get medication, waiting to speak to administrators-lots of waiting, sometimes 45 minutes but really not that unpleasant. Instead of traditional substance counselors, daily group is run by life coaches named Doug and Heidi whom both trained with Tony Robbins. Then there are small groups in yoga, nutrition, sex issues, etc. Clients are offered amenities like massage therapy and acupuncture..I dont know how the previous commentor feels there is no 12-Step program because outsidee speakers visit nightly for one hour and clients are offered the option of attending outside AA/NA meetings at Stage II. The focus is both traditional 12-Step and non-traditional holistic which is a newer trend in treating substance abuse and gaining popularity in South Florida. All in all, Palm Partners is a decent place and I recommend it to anyone looking for a facility.

Do not send your children here. South Florida is a revolving door of relapse and insurance fraud. Their success rate is 1% here. Stay away.

Unlike any other detox facility where they care about how you feel Palm Partners will make you wait nearly 24 hours until they give you any detox meds. Once you finally see the Dr and they order your meds and tell you that you can go get them immediately, the nursing staff will ignore the Doctors orders and make you wait until scheduled medication time to recieve your first dose. If you want to be treated with the least amount of compassion and respect, endure horrible withdrawals (almost to the point of a seizure if you are coming off of Benzos or Alcohol) for hours on end, then I would suggest you go to Palm Partners detox. I have been to Palm Partners twice and both times I have been treated like scum. I would suggest that you go to Sunrise Detox, Highpoint Detox, or Treatment Alternatives Detox in nearby towns. These other places have a protocol pre-ordered so that once you start to feel withdrawals, they will medicated you.
