The doctor, nurse, and staff were very friendly and made me feel at ease. The hours they provide for services is so helpful when you work week days. I was able to go at 5:15 and not have to take time off of work to do so. This is a wonderful service!

Annual skin check was easy and thorough. Nurse practitioner reported findings to assistant who typed them in and she performed the head to toe, front to back and scalp check. Both were friendly, established rapport easily, and made me feel at ease.

Very little paper work to start that was good . Hardly any waiting time that was good also . Nurse was pleasant and thorough and I liked that . Over all everything was good.

I called their office today and was able to get an appointment scheduled for the same day. I was greeted by a super polite receptionist and once my exam started I said 5his is the place for me Fiona Hanly was a Rock Star along with her assistant. Thank you all for your professionalism and care.

First time visit and was less than impressed. I was seen by the nurse practitioner and she was in the room for a total of 5 minutes. She didn’t even get close to my skin and acted uninterested. The first woman who took my information and another trainee also came in the room when the NP came in and stayed. This was uncomfortable as I would have liked to have a one on one conversation with my concerns. I would have appreciated more privacy and personal interaction. Then for the 5 minute visit, I was billed for $345. Completely stunned and will not be returning. Disappointing experience and completed overpriced. I will continue my search for a good dermatologist.

Scarred and overcharged.Yes, the staff was nice, which was why I trusted my skin health to this company who milked the insurance company and my bank account. I now have extremely ugly visible scars on my body a year and half later, AND Im receiving surprise bills from Pinnacle’s accounting department. *** I went to the Valparaiso, Indiana office, but the corporate office is in Lombard. Offices may vary, but all are operating under the same corporation.

I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family the doctor was amazing she explained everything to me so did the nurse or assistant as you would say she was perfect as well I really enjoyed that visit I learned a lot and Im definitely going back

All staff was excellent in following Covid procedures. I only had to wait 2-3 minutes in the waiting room before getting called back and then waited less than 5 minutes to be seen. Dr. Mendez and his nurse were excellent during my procedure!

The thing i like about this place is the staff, that makes one feel comfortable from beginning to end. I trust my dermatologist, and she has help keep me healthy for awhile now. So glad they are in Decatur.

I really enjoyed the whole staff. They were very helpful to me as a person, getting me in early because of the weather, felt like they were very professional and know their confidence of what they do is for you.

I have only been to my first appointment so we will be updating. Went in because of a cyst like bump on the bottom of my toe. The tech brougt me back and basically told me what was going on with me instead of listening to my explanation of my symptoms for the last 3 months. I was kinda worried after that.. the dermatologist that Inspected me had no problem answering my questions and told me every I need to know. I will be revisiting in 3 weeks

Quite frankly, I have never left a review for any business before, but I had such a poor experience here that I feel like people need to know what they’re getting into if they choose to go to Pinnacle Dermatology in Decatur.I had a very similar experience to Sarah Halsey’s review below... I was a new patient and had never been to a dermatologist before, so I wanted a full body skin exam and I also had two small warts I wanted burned off. As someone whose entire body is completely covered in freckles I was shocked it only seemed to take the NP a few minutes to do a “full body skin check”. She then burned the warts off with liquid nitrogen and that was it. All in all, she was probably in the room for about 5-6 minutes. I left the appointment feeling like it was a total waste of time and then to make matters worse I was billed a total of $709 for those 5-6 minutes! As and FYI, they charge you $345 just to be seen, and then they tacked on another $363 for two little puffs of liquid nitrogen.I also saw the nurse practitioner and can corroborate that she seemed very uninterested in me as a patient and was not personable at all. I left feeling more like I was a number in an assembly line where the object is to churn and burn as many patients through in a day, with no regard to the quality of service provided or patient experience. Add in the absolute Ludacris prices on top and I think you’ll see why they’re a 1 star business.I had read some negative reviews prior to scheduling my appointment, but thought surely the good outweighed the bad…. But I was very, very wrong. **Now que Pinnacles canned response claiming theyre going to look into it anytime someone posts a less than favorable review**

I had taken my mother in here years ago and they were always good with her. When I need a dermatologist I called Pinnacle. They got me right in. With covid-19 they had all the safety procedures in place so I felt safe. They talked to me and let me know how they would be checking me. The employees were fantastic! I will recommend Pinnacle and I will go back whenever I need to.

I have never seen a dermatologist before so I was a little nervous about my visit, but Dr. Hanly and her staff were extremely friendly and answered all of my rambling questions. My appointment was swift, comfortable, and informative. Im happy that I chose Pinnacle and will be back!

Dr Lipinski performed the MOHS procedure on my scalp, at the hairline. Dr Mendez, the plastic surgeon, took care of the closure. Both were wonderful as they performed the tasks with professionalism, while putting me at ease with their kindness and concern.

Been in there twice so far and as long as Fiona stays there, I will be happy. Just a fyi, I went to the Decatur Illinois office for my skin care.

This was my first time being there and we all looked like masked bandits. I was a bit nervous getting a mole looked at and possibly removed. Well everyone i dealt with was very nice and comforting. I expressed everything i was concerned with and they explained everything. I would recommend them to anyone and ill be going back if needed.

All staff were friendly and helpful. I appreciated the follow up call to check on me. This was my first trip to Pinnacle. Although I spent a lot of time waiting, I understand it was due to Dr. Rios having to do some complicated procedures. Instead of waiting an hour, it was more like 2 1/2 to 3 hours. It would have been nice if someone could have told me there would be a longer delay.

I have had issues going on 5 years that several other doctors didnt know what it was, only one could diagnose but was to far away to drive back and forth for treatments, so I kind of gave up hope. A couple of weeks ago I was searching for dermatologists online and came across Pinnacles website and was quite impressed with the extensive training and the fact that they treat GA which is what I have. So I made an appointment, and got in quite promptly. Dr.Hanley and her nurse knew right away what they were dealing with and was confident that she could treat it successfully.Everyone in the office was friendly, It was truly a great experience !

Overall very happy with my first visit! When I was younger I went to several dermatologists and never had any super positive experiences and always felt kind of shoved off. I saw Dr. Hanley who I was very impressed with! She had a plan before walking in which I LOVES as I feel that means she reviewed the history I gave. It’s been 5 days since starting treatment and I’m already noticing changes in my adult acne!

I wouldnt give it that one star right now if I had a choice. In this time of covid-19 I find it unbelievable the cavalier attitude this organization took about Patient safety. Yes, they had a sign posted to wear a mask, then expected us to sit in a small crowded waiting room with other patients whose ideas of wearing a mask did not include covering their nose. When I informed them I would wait outside I was still called back in before they were actually ready for me and expected to sit in this same waiting room. I have been attempting to find an address to post an official complaint with their offices, but there are no addresses listed on their web site and when I tried to call I was put in a quey, told I would be called back and was not. Hence I feel the need to publicly air my complaint on this site.

This is a very good skin specialist. The reception is professional and very nice. Lindsey and her assistant are the best. Really made me feel comfortable., and had answers for all my questions. Its is handicapped accessible. They even gave me some samples of skin care products.

I was scheduled to see a dermatologist for a infected cyst, but it opened on its own. The doctor said I needed to go to a surgeon to remove it. I needed to find a different dermatologist right away and Pinnacle got me in several hours later! The whole staff was awesome and made this visit very easy. The PA explained every step of the treatment and once it has settled down, they will remove it! Thank you for being there for me!

I had a terrible experience here. My hair was thinning and I was concerned so I went in to see possible causes. There were multiple people in the room with the doctor, and several people walking in and out of the room during my appointment. There was very little privacy, and when people are coming in with a concern, they should feel comfortable to speak on it without having to broadcast it. I didn’t feel he understood my concerns(despite these additional women sort of translating between him and I). I paid $100 for basically nothing. He pulled on my hair to see how much came out, asked me if I possibly had high stress levels..when I told him possible causes of stress he criticized me for my career path and pretty much dismissed me. I begrudgingly paid my $100, and I will not step foot in there again. Go at your own risk, I would find someone else- even if it’s a drive.

The staff here are wonderful and I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to help me. They truly care about how you’re doing and effectively take care of your needs.
