Had an 8am appointment got here at 7:55When everyone in line was done it was 8:06I asked how long it would be because we had an 8 am appointment and was told she didn’t know there was 5 people scheduled ahead of her not here already signed in but scheduled ahead of her Soo I asked why would y’all schedule 15 people for 8 am if u can’t pull them back. Answer we have to talk to patients too… what that makes no sense.

The call center used for scheduling appointments does not seem to have accurate access to each locations appointments. The front desk person that I met was dismissive as well.

So today June 9, 2021 i went in for a emergency appointment walk in and come to find out they dont do that anymore. OK! I began to explain to the assistant that i been calling since MAY trying to get a appointment for the left side of my mouth since my filling my teeth aint been right and i got them filled back in March 🙄FAST-FORWARD the story .........SO as i was telling her she called me a liar saying i havent been calling since MAY so i go to show her my call log and tell her i call here and it go straight to the call center and also the call center have called and sent over SERVERAL EMAILS so she tell me YOU KNOW WHAT I WAS GOING TO HELP YOU BUT IMA LET NICOLE ( ASSISTANT MANAGER) DEAL WITH YOU GO WAIT IN THE CONSULTATION ROOM .... As i was wait for Nicole im feeling real disrespected and discomfort. When Nicole came into the room the assistant came in with her and i start to explain to Mrs.Nicole what was going on the assistant start ruuning off at the mouth REMIND YALL this isnt my first time dealing with this RUDE AND DISGUSTING humen being. Make a long story short the assistant was so NASTY AND UNPROFESSIONAL we was aruging infront of patients and her work peers(I HAD TO LET HER KNOW IM A GROWN WOMEN WITH 2 KIDS SO SHE CANT AND WANT LITTLE GIRL ME). I will love to talk to someone else higher than her cause she a little to comfortable with talking to patients that way. Another women came in after me and she was rude to her also. EVERY patient say shes rude and need to quit her job if she doesnt like it.I AGREE. IM A MEDICAL STUDENT so i know for SURE thats not patient relation AT ALL. i will not stop til i can talk to cooperate about her action❗❗❗

I had apoiment 8:00am .they called me at 9:45am and yes im still waitting at the room .i have pain people.well ok finaly im out.10:48am and no they did not do work on my mouth only 1 xray and doc check my mouth she was there for less than 8min.came home same way with pain

Today’s visit was great even though I was a little behind on time. I was sitting in the waiting room long (under 15min) and once arriving in the back Mrs. Ardeita and Dr.Zoe was great with my daughter. They was able to keep her calm did the job and we was out in no time and I’m sure now she wouldn’t complain about that tooth

I always enjoy my visits to Kool Smile. I like that it caters to my whole family and the fact that they have a clean playground for my youngest makes it easier to break her in when its her turn. The staff is great, friendly, and professional. I love Ms. Brittany E. she makes me very comfortable and always handle me with care. I look forward to being consulted by her. My doctor is always warm and thorough which is why even though I now love across town, I still make the trip to the Decatur location. Kudos to Brittany Ewing and Dr. Daniels.

Today is Thursday June 14 2018 and Im sitting here at Kool Smiles watching the kids have fun on the little playground in the waiting area. When I tell you that this staff is so nice and friendly and makes your wait worth waiting. My son has an appointment to get his wisdom teeth pulled and they are making everything so easy and comfortable for him. Thanks Tanzania for easy his nervousness by talking him through the procedure and making him very comfortable and not scared and nervous. I know how it is to be an adult waiting on a procedure I can just imagine how he was feeling. Again thanks to the amazing staff on Candler Rd. and I will be sending a lot of patients your way.

I had a great visit today with Dr.Bell and Tammy. I came in for an oral surgery and each of them made me feel extremely elated and at a Divine Peace for the entire procedure. And bless Mary for being my comfort in this time of need. Kool Smiles you are great for every age. Thank YOU.

My 6 year old Isabella loves coming to Kool Smiles. The entire staff at the Candler location are wonderful to work with. I had a phenomenal experience yesterday at Kool smiles on Candler Rd. In fact I always do. Dr. Stuart gave us a consultation about braces and really gave my daughter an experience. He danced and made her the most comfortable any dentist or Dr. Has ever made her feel. Brittany a hygienist I assume is always kind and fun and even remembers my daughter every time we come. I am so thankful for the experience. I could not wait to write a review.

I used Kool Smiles because I had an emergency the first time. The service was adequate, but the Dental assistants need to be more professional around the patients. Getting my prescriptions were a nightmare. I had to call the main office to complain regarding the service.I revisited only because my initial records were on file there. Dr. Bell was very good. He explained everything in detailed. The Dental assistants really need to realize people can still hear their conversations and how inappropriate they can be. I would recommend that the ladies receive Customer service training.It is a place of business, not a place to talk about their hair or their personal life, especially in front of the patients. The ladies at the front desk were professional and courteous. Management really should invest in training for their assistants.

Wow, I’m super impressed with our experience at this location! The office personnel and dental staff as a whole, were super friendly. My little girl was treated by Dr. Owens and Ms. Chinenye Carter. Both were so kind, patient and accommodating to my daughter. I will definitely be returning for future appointments! Thank you so much.

Tammy and Doctor Bell made us fill so secured. They made sure they explained every detail of the procedure. Tammy was so nice she made us fill safe and Dr. Bell have the most pleasant smile. I would recommend anyone to come see these two.Keep up the good work you two!!! They both need raises.

I have been taking my granddaughter to this facility since 2015. I have never had any issues with anything. Everyone has their own experience. My experience has always been positive. The staff we encountered were knowledgeable, and treat us with the utmost respect. I love this facility. Its clean and close to home. I have no desire to change from this location. I am pleased....very pleased. Thank you all.

I have been coming here for almost 10 years now and I love Kool Smiles!! I am 21 now and I am just now getting my wisdom tooth pulled and I was trying to find a dentist to get them out ASAP. Kool Smile were the only people available to get them out really quick and good! My original dentist took 3 days to get back to me after I was walking around with a swollen face and couldnt speak. Krystal made my experience very comfortable and the doctors are amazing here!!

Dr. Griffith and her assistant Tyeanna are very nice and caring. I was a little worried about my baby getting work done on her mouth but they took such good care of my daughter. Its not our first visit so Im sure it wont be the last.

The area is not the best location.But this please on Candler Road is awesome!! Dr Owens, Ms. Brown and the rest of the staff is great!! I would recommend you take your children here. Very organized and friendly.

My children (Ages 4 and 11) had their first visit yesterday and they really enjoyed their experience. My 4 year old son enjoyed the play area in the lobby which took his mind off of it being a dentist visit. Both my children also enjoyed the fact that they were able to sit next to each other while they got their teeth cleaned. The receptionist, dental hygienist, and the dentist were all pleasant and helpful. Overall experience was great.

Great visit today at Kool smiles. The doctors where awesome Dr. Zoe and Dr. Brown made my son so comfortable for treatment. Both doctors encourage my son to take better care of his teeth. Less candy more fruits and plenty of water.

My family and I are very excited to be new to the area and find such a warm and professional dental team at Kool Smiles. This was our third visit for a continuation of cavity treatments. As with the others this was another wonderful encounter to have my 7 year old son come in and be greeted and treated by staff that are courteous and that are African American women as myself,and yes that has great bearings. Dr. Daniels was great! She was kind and patient, soft spoken with my baby. Ms. Nichole her asst. was receptive to my sons needs and understanding to his fears, with me. Then Ms. Keba, was very gentle and comforting to my son even in a state of temporary restraint, so they could finish their procedure. I wouldnt think if taking him anywhere else , as clearly their patient care and well being are of high priority. You can expect top quality care from this location, word of mouth!👊🏾👌🏾🤗 Also, kudos to Dr. Owens as well, her assistant Ms. Jessica and the dental hygienist team for the first two visits!!👊🏾 Thank you all! , and to the founder of KS for seeing a need for himself and his family and allowing that to be fashioned to help others!

Wait time has improved big time usually be 2hrs total from their appointment time to be seen 1hr in waiting area 1hr in the back the past couple visits wait time on point & staff always been friendly the wait time was my biggest issue NOT NO MORE😍

I had the pleasure of getting my tooth pulled there and it was an awesome experience. I originally took my children for there cleaning and exams, however while I was there I was in pain and the nurse informed me that Kool Smiles also accepted adults. The staff was VERY helpful in scheduling the services and communicated the process very well. Overall I was thoroughly please with the process and the nurse and dentist that performed my extraction. Job well done!!!!!!

I’ve been here twice now and it’s a great experience! Dr. Griffith and her assistant Tyeanna were both wonderful and patient. It also helps that they’re very good at their job.

FAST FAST FAST!!! We only waited 10 minutes in the waiting area. The waiting room was nice and spacious and has a playground that the kids can play in while waiting. The dental assistants were nice and patient with the children. Checking in and out was a breeze because I was able to complete the paper work prior to the visit which made check in less than 5 minutes. This will be our permanent dentist office. Great Job Kool Smiles.

I didnt care for this office. The way its set up just doesnt work for my family. It was almost like a clinic setting. My children were called back and had their teeth examined at the same time as several other children. They were all in one big room. The parents were asked to sit in a little side hallway. Not at all what I expected. Im use to being able to go back in the room with my children during their cleaning and exam. Im sitting in this little side hallway while they got their cleaning done and the next thing I know the appointment is over and Im being given the dental plan. So not only did I not get to be with my little ones during the cleaning, but I was also not able to be with them or even speak to the dentist for that matter. They are children, why arent parents allowed to sit with them? Especially when the dentist examines them? What if I have questions? (because I did). We had one appointment there and will not be returning. I require a practice that allows me to interact with the dental staff and ask questions if needed, I dont like the way this practice is ran.

First, I am disappointed in the quality of service I received over the phone at the Candler Park location. I have called this location three times and I did not accomplish anything. Literally, all I needed was an email to forward my daughters dental release record to Kool Smiles. Whats ironic is that the call was answered and my concern was heard; however, I was told, let me put you on hold. I was never helped nor was I shown my matter was a sense of urgency. I contacted customer support to submit a complaint only because the problem needs to be addressed. I do not recommend Kool Smiles. This review is to inform you of the true service you will receive at this location. If the front staff behave this way, imagine how the dentist behave.

The dentist was very friendly and explained everything well! The service was fast and through! It was a bit loud in the waiting area but the kids seemed happy they have an indoor playground.

I just took my soon to be 4 year old son to Kool Smiles yesterday for his first dental appointment and it was a pretty good experience. The desk staff was about as friendly as I would expect them to be working in a room with kids running around all day but they were helpful and I made sure to get there with enough time to fill out the paperwork before our appointment, a good rule in general for any doctors visit. There were several people in the waiting room when we arrived and we got in 15 minutes after our appointed time but were out and done a little over an hour after we arrived. The hygienist and dentist were to the point but polite and explained everything very well and made my son comfortable. I will take him there again. The indoor playground and other kids that were there made it fun for him too.

Ardeita was amazing and very attentive to my son. He’s autistic and needed a little extra help with the visit. It was his first fill-in and she made him feel as comfortable as possible!

Ardeita and Dr. Zoe attended to my child today. They were both very knowledgeable and caring. My baby girl did nothing but smile the whole time. Thank you both so much.... This trip to the dentist went so smooth for my baby girl.

I researched the options available before taking my baby to have a pulpotomy & caps placed. I wasnt shown any pictures but it was described that it would look natural. It doesnt look very natural right now & though I know he needed some type of intervention & treatment to keep his condition from worsening further, Im not sure I made the best decision. He seems to be in so much pain. I was told there would be enough time to get him home before the meds wore off. Not true! As soon as we checked out & put him in his baby seat he was crying from the excruciating pain & was screaming that his mouth hurt.I dont know if this will change or begin to look natural. At the moment the caps dont look as natural as I thought they would & once we got home the the first dose of tylenol did not bring down his fever or diminish his pain. He was feverish & inconsolable for hours. For his second dose I gave him Ibuprofen for the fever. It went away but came right back. I tried without success to reach a doctor on call for the entire afternoon.Seeing him in so much discomfort Im not sure if the treatment was worth putting him through the pain now that I see how much pain he is in. Over the counter meds do not seem to be working. I have been trying to reach someone since we returned home for guidance about pain management with no success. Im just not happy. Maybe that will change once he heals but right now I feel helpless, guilty, & like I made the wrong decision for my baby.

Dr. Daniel was very patient with my daughter. She did a great job. Her assistant Tyeanna was the best. She calmed my daughter down when she saw she was very scared when her tooth had to be extracted. Thank you both for being an excellent team!!

Mrs Owens and Mrs Brown makes it such a easy experience. The way they cater to any questions, and make sure the kids are comfortable while they do what they do. My son was so relax during the process. And they get 2 thumbs up.

If you love your child you will not bring them to this dentist office. Completely unprofessional I had the concerns of my child being scared of the dentist. The first option was a child-size Silence of the Lambs straitjacket board. I I felt uneasy with that so I told the doctor I will decline that offer. The doctor then told me they would need four to five people to hold my 5 year-old 32 pound girl down still. So I did not want a lot of people in the room holding her down. Because I thought this would heighten the fear of the dentist. I recanted my reply and said yes to the board only if I could hold my child. A lie directly to me and said yes I could and once they gave her the numbing shot I was told I could not touch her. They lied to my face to get my child on that board when I had concerns about it the whole time. If you want people to lie to your face about your child take them to this dentist office😐I will be taking my concerns to a licensing board.

My dental assistant Savine was so nice gentle and caring i can tell she enjoys her job.She represents this company really well. With people like her the company will grow. Because people would always come back and recommend others.

The staff is very friendly and pleasant...office is very clean and beautiful! They made my daughter(4years old) very comfortable and even tho she has Medicaid they dont treat her as a Medicaid client! I love it, and highly recommend!

I was advised to schedule my son for an appointment to have his teeth sealed. I did this and when we got there he was called to the back and quickly sent back out. They stated that his teeth could not be sealed because they had not fully grown out. He was seen 3 weeks before that and seems to me that they would have known that his teeth were not fully grown out. I had to take off work to take him to this appointment.

I was very impressed with Dr. Zoe and Ms. Ardeita. They were very nice and sweet to my nephew Malachi. They talked to him calmed him when he started to cry. They explained every procedure they did. I loved how they just talked to him.

My experience every time I come is pleasant. Mary, and Mikeba were SUPER friendly and made me feel welcomed. The wait time was short, and they seemed so organized as everything was verified before I came. The services rendered are beyond my expectations n satisfaction. I wouldnt choose to go anywhere else.

I took my daughter to the Kool Smiles on Candler Road in which she has been going for the last 9 months but not after my experience yesterday.Kool Smiles on Candler Road is very unprofessional, my daughter appointment was to get her teeth capped and they end up only doing a cleaning and which was not her six-month check-up for her cleaning.I called off of work and she missed school all because theyre not professional and they are not on one Accord with their appointment line. I asked the receptionist with all the makeup on her face for my daughters Medicaid information and she caught an attitude and asked I cant believe you asking for your her information when you see I got all of these people to check in.I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE KOOL SMILE on candler rd

Aside from a little overcrowding in the waiting room (2-3:30 PM), my 2 grandsons, ages 4 and 9, loved their first visit. They came out smiling with their swag bags. The front office staff were efficient and helpful, and the hygienist(s) communicated well. D (? - didnt catch his name) reminded them to floss like a boss and Krystal was very caring and put them at ease. Jasmine F. and the other young lady at the front desk were excellent as well. Best dentist visit ever and we will be coming back!

These reviews are fake. That place is truly the most ghetto dentist office I have ever been to Im my life. The people at the front were so unprofessional. They werent even dressed appropriately to be at work. They were late with my appointment. When we got to the back they had conversations over my childs mouth while they worked. Me or my kids dont need to know about your personal life while at the dentist. And the doctor or at least one of then defended the ladies saying that it was ok for them to talk like that while my child there. If I where you I wouldnt come here its a waist of time. And as I said before the reviews on here are fake go at your own risk

Great experience, the dentist and the nurses are all very nice people they are very caring about your needs and concerns. You cant find many dental offices that offer such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I give it 6 Stars!! Great Job!

I have found the place where I can bring ALL the children at the same time. Keeps me from having to take too much time away from work. However expect a little wait not long though.

I have had a lot of problems with my braces. I had braces when I was younger and the office I went to was so much better than Kool Smiles doesnt even let you brush your teeth when you go in for an adjustment. I have had to go back once again because something was not done right. It such an a pain dealing with them. If it didnt cost me to stop treatment I would and go to a different office. They are always rushing and I feel as though they dont do quality work.... Terrible experience with braces here!!!! wouldnt recommend to my worst enemy!

I would like to say that my overall experience here was great! Everyone had a very positive attitude. Even though Im an adult I still felt very welcomed there.

My Children and I went to the dentist Friday and my daughter have been scared of the dentist since she was a baby. I could never get her to allow them to touch her mouth, but Dr. Owens and her Assistant Ms. Carter was awesome. They encourage her and even got her to relax to do everything at one time. My daughter is no longer fearful of the dentist, she say & I quote( as long as its DR. Owens and Mrs.Carter. You guys rock. Thank you sooooo Much Dr. Owens & Assistant Mrs. Carter. I Recommend this 2 if you are ever going to the dentist@ Kool Smile in Decatur.

NEVER bring your child to this dentist! The receptionist had on a sundress. (I thought this was a dentist office). NO GREETING YOU. My child appointment was at 4:30. I got there 4:36 they wouldnt see her. Then when I asked to speak to a manager she ignored that. Kool smiles dentist on candler road has to be the most ghetto place Ive ever seen. If you care about your babies do NOT bring them here.

Dr. Kadree and her assistant Nichole made my daughter feel really comfortable with getting her crown on her tooth. They talked to her the whole time and let her know what they would be doing in her mouth which calmed her down. Thank you guys.

1st visit was a wonderful experience. Friendly staff that got us in and out quickly and answered my questions.2nd visit with my son, I was put off by the bug I saw crawling in the actual exam room.3rd and final visit I arrived 2 minutes late, during rush hour, stood waiting to sign in for 2 more minutes and by the time I was spoken to I was told I needed to reschedule because they had decided to cancel the appointment after being 2 minutes late. That was my last and final visit.

They were very quick and the staff was very nice and accommodating. My son was scared to get his teeth cleaned and they were patient with him. I appreciated that.

Dr. Griffith and asst. Tyeanna was very patient and awesome with my toddler. GREAT JOB LADIESTHANK YOU SO MUCH

I had a great experience with Dr. Zoe and Ms. Ardeita my daughter is super afraid of needles. They calmed her down and stop her from crying I would recommend them to anyone they are the best..

Ms. Brown was great with my son. She made h feel comfortable and he is usually really resistant about going to the dentist. Great job kool smiles!!!

Ms. Brown and Dr. Daniels are the best my 14 year old daughter is so scared of the dentist due to past dental experience from other dentists they came in welcoming explain everything to me and my daughter about the procedures she was getting and not once she started crying they got through it so quick I hope those two are here the next time because they made her feel comfortable Thanks so much!

My Kool Smiles visit was a great experience. The assistant Ms.Nichole, Dr.Daniel and Ms.Mary where all friendly and helpful they made it easier for me to get my cavity filled.

The Kool smile on Candler Road in Decatur is the worst one!!! The doctors are excellent 😘very helpful and professional. But the assistance at the front desk are the worst very rude, ghetto, disrespectful and unprofessional. Especially the one with the dreads and the other lady who always have her eyebrows done like its cute will sit there and talk about you while looking at you the whole time laughing. When asked a question their response is I dont know or no I dont think so with a smile. they are so rude in the front I have changed my kids dentist and will never come back to Kool Smiles...
