I have worked as the nursing director at Westminster for over a year! From the moment I walked in I felt at home. Covid was a trying time to start a new job, and was trying for our staff, residents and their families. I’m proud to say I work day in and day out with caregivers and nurses who truly care about our residents and have endured this together as a family. Our facility is gorgeous and our staff works hard to keep it that way! We enjoy spending time with our residents and they love us too. I call them family. Not only do I love working here, it’s a place I would feel comfortable (and have actually tried to convince my own grandmother) having my own family there. Not only is the staff caring, but our management team is hands on with the residents and prides ourselves on always knowing what’s going on within our community! I’m proud to call Westminster my home away from home. You’ll never work a day in your life if you love what you do.

What a horrible place for your loved one start to finish! I’m not sure of my mother’s care because I was not allowed to see her “COVID” pushed way too far! She walked in fairly healthy and passed barely 5 months later. The rudest people I have ever dealt with. I waited over 2 months after my mom’s passing to be sure how I felt. Please do not do this to a family member! There are far better places.

So unhappy with my familys treatment on a very difficult day. If they treat my mother this way we will be out immediately.

The facility is clean and professionally run from the Director down to the cleaning personnel. There is constant kind and loving interaction between all of the staff and all of the residents. There are plenty of activities to keep the residents busy and entertained. The administrative staff does more that just run the place like a well oiled machine, they know all of the residents by name and speak to them every day. Kudos to Cynthia Hill and Kim Hood.

A memory care facility should be able to handle a patient that is refusing to take meds and becoming resistant, instead they just send them out to a hospital at first sign of inconvenience to them. And according to the staff, a patient usually never recovers from being sent out and dies in the hospital. That was exactly the case with my mother, they predicted it. My advice: if you have a loved one there, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure they are taking their meds, the staff does NOT do this.
