Very friendly staff! My husband, myself and our 3 yr old all had appointments back to back. We were called back to be seen quickly. The eye doctor we saw was very patient with my 3 yr old and took her time with her. When it was time to pick out glasses, the ladies in the Eyewear area brought me several pairs of glasses to try on and helped me find just the right pair. They have a very large selection of both mens and womens frames. One of the ladies kept our daughter distracted and entertained while we were deciding. I would highly recommend Eyecare Max to anyone that wants quality service, a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Im extremely disappointed in this company. After having my prescription wrong several times by my previous doctor, I tried somewhere else. The doctor was great, but the glasses extremely expensive, so I took my prescription to Eye Care Max to try. Glasses were still a little expensive, but I was also talked into extras I had never done before. After a couple months my glasses where getting more and more scratched to the point it was making it hard to see. I could never get them really clean, they always seamed to smear and I was using theyre glass cleaner and glass cloths. I went in after a couple months and was told they couldnt do nothing about it. I had my previous glasses several years and werent scratched hardly at all and I took better care of theyre glasses because they were so much more expensive. I am wearing my old glasses for now, till I can go back to my old place to get a new pair of glasses. Even though the prescription isnt correct, I can see better out of them and the other ones were giving me headaches. I even emailed them a few weeks ago and they have yet to respond. Will never go here again, extremely disappointed

As soon as I walked in the door I knew this was going to be a pleasant experience. The staff in the front were so nice and sweet. I brought my 4year old daughter with me to get her an eye exam too and every one was so patient and sweet with her. Dr. was the most kind and patient and explained everything she was doing. Highly highly recommend!

Professional, helpful, and very kind. They was patient and helped me get a few things lined out with my insurance company. Then took my son in for an eye appointment after it was canceled because of insurance issues. Good selection of glasses as well for men, woman, and children 10/10 would go their again.

This place is okay, I went there once. Kind of expensive. I tried to get my prescription information, and they acted all sketchy about it (like they didnt want to give me my medical records). Additionally, I felt the staff had an entitled attitude and lacked knowledge of the products. I started going to Walmart on Elmore - the service is quick, Im in and out, and the staff was competent and had a great attitude.

Got lucky by finding this place after being disappointed by another. They were helpful, understanding and took their time to make sure I got what was comfortable for me. Highly recommended the staff and doctor was amazing. Thank you guys!

Very helpful, attentive and beautiful staff.Glasses quality is pretty good for no out of pocket.I had to come here from Clinton because my local and very good optometrist was not accepting Iowa Total Care. As of this post ,midwest optical is now accepting Total Care in Clinton.

Fantastic employees, but the service theyre providing is awful. Upwards of two week wait times for finished glasses, not letting me know Im not insured there until after the purchase, and Im pretty sure had I not been in a hurry the doctor would have tried to upsell me something I didnt actually need. Shame the desk employees and frames consultant are such great employees, courteous and understanding every moment, they deserve a better service to back them up.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I bought glasses in June and its now February and the screw in my frame broke in half and they told me they couldnt fix it first off second off they told me I had no warranty I would have had to add it when I got my glasses and third they told me I had no vision benefits so I would have to pay out of pocket for more glasses then before I left with glasses I couldnt even wear they said do you want them cleaned absolutely not I cant even wear them...went somewheres else to find out I do have vision benefits and got better glasses with a free warranty...never going back..oh and Im sorry but a screw breaking in half in my frame should be a defective product but its my fault...I didnt decline the warranty it was never offered to me and a screw shouldnt just break in a frame and two your employees lied to me about my vision benefits..

Customer service here was fantastic! Theyre not too pushy and theyre genuinely helpful. I really liked their selection too: they have a lot of quality clearance items, but also a good amount of name brands glasses, so youre sure to find what youre looking for. I know I did, and I have been to 2 other eyeglass stores ..they didnt have the selection I wanted.

Always friendly, Dr is explains everything very clearly so youll understand. My son was diagnosed with astigmatism at 5yrs old and weve been going to Eyecare Max for the past 6yrs and we love it. Great variety of frames to choose from!

BAD customer service! Wont return phone calls, additional charges w/o upfront disclosures. Incorrect billing. I wish there was a negative star I could give. DO NOT recommend this place!

This place is awesome!! The entire staff was caring and kind. I was having a problem with one of my eyes and had many appointments in the last month. Doctor and the staff showed how much they care and kept my spirits up!! I will be going back for glasses next and look forward to continuing going back and telling everyone I know how awesome they are there!!

My children’s prescriptions were off by a lot. Also said one of my children’s eyes were worrisome. When they got their glasses they had a hard time seeing through them. I took them to another eye doctor who couldn’t believe they could see out of the prescription Eyecare max prescribed. Also my child’s eyes have even improved since he was seen 5 years ago at old optometrist and nothing concerning. He can see very well out of the new prescription from our old optometrist. I also couldn’t see clearly out of the glasses prescribed by eyecare max. Be careful. I had to pay a lot out of pocket to get them seen elsewhere since they are only eligible once every 2 years.

My over all experience at Eyecare MAX was WONDERFUL! :) This was most definitely the most thorough eye exam that Ive ever had. Dr. McManis is very nice and helpful. the opticians were great! Im terrible at picking frames and they made the process very easy and fun, gave great feedback and helped me pick the perfect frames for my face shape. The selection of frames is unbelievable! :) I will definitely be a returning customer.

Horrible customer service mainly from Dr. McManus himself. Charges you for services you arent aware youre being charged for. I made a payment to his office and then a month later they tell me before i ordered my contacts that i still owed the remaining $150 that i already payed prior for an exam. Thank God i still had my bank statement proving that i payed it.Also this guy is like Jekyl & Hyde especially toward women! 1 second hes being ok towards me in my exam and then The next thing i know He turns and very angrily questioned my wife about the 1 star review that she posted on a separate matter. I had to cut in and de-escalate the situation as i could tell he beginning to get aggressive and was getting very upset. Very unprofessional. Will be taking my business elsewhere

Lenses were falling out of glasses immediately. The person that helped us when we picked the glasses up noticed this and did not say anything. I saw the lens come out when she wiped them, I figured she knew what she was doing so I didn’t think anything of it. Instead of being honest and caring, she chose to push them back in and hurry us out the door before we realized it. The lenses have been falling out everyday since we picked them up. The staff is also pretty rude and unfriendly, not all but some. The person that helped me was rude and unfriendly. This is not a special place- there are many places to go for glasses in this area, I would suggest you choose another one.

When the employees have to post fake reviews on the search engines and social media to make themselves look better I consider that a red flag.Do your homework and be educated, or you will likely miss what is right in front of you.

After seeing a couple eye doctors that I was not happy with I came here. Best decision I ever made and havent gone elsewhere in 4 years. Convenient hours. Friendly and helpful staff. Cant say enough lovely things about this place. the Dr. came out and helped me pick out frames when I couldnt make up my mind. He gave me many options on contacts when the brand I tried didnt work well with my eyes. When I broke my glasses frame they only had one version of my frame left in another store and they rushed them to this location for me. You cant beat their customer service!

I do not recommend Dr. McManus or Eye Care Max. He claimed my daughter had serious problems, needed special glasses, and needed to see her monthly. Took her to Eye Surgeons Associates & they found she doesn’t even need glasses at all. Total scam. Tried to max out my vision insurance for made-up diagnosis. Avoid at all costs.

Do not recommend at all. I have been with the same eyecare place for years, but after moving I had to find a new eye doctor. I needed to get in quick to get contacts before I was all out. I filled out all the forms, and when I went to do all of the exams, the worker advised me that I HAD to do the $50 contact lense fitting and that It was like a law or something, when I have never had to pay for this previously and had no option of paying it (let me also add, this fitting consisted of him looking at my already fitted lenses and saying they fit great). After seeing the doctor, he didnt give me any information on how my eyes were or give me options, he just told me what he was ordering and rushed out of the room. My appointment was the first weekend in August and they told me it would be a week until my new contacts came in. It is now August 19th and still no contacts. I called and left a voicemail with no call back, and when my husband called to find out what was going on, they advised him that they were not even ordered until a WEEK after my appointment. Not one call to inform me of what was going on 2 weeks into waiting for these contacts. Will go elsewhere after I receive my prescription. UPDATE: Ended up giving me FOUR different contacts to see which ones I THOUGHT fit best, because apparently they couldnt tell me that. Now that I am asking for my prescription to go elsewhere, they say I havent Finalized with the doctor and wont provide it to me.

My husband has been going back and forth with this place for months! They claim he has such a bad astigmatism that he has been back for 5 contact fittings. He doesnt even fit the contacts - he just asks which ones feel the best, then sends him off to come back in a week for another fitting. He just got home from another appointment and I found out after all of this were going to owe over $200 and thats after our insurance coverage! Ridiculous. Scam artist.

Eyecare MAX was the fifth eyewear store that we stopped at that morning, and the only one that was able to fit us in for eye exams. They were great!! Dr. McMannis even helped us pick out our frames!! I highly recommend you to give Eyecare MAX a try.

Overall a very good place to visit for family. Whether it be eyeglass or contacts, you will receive a decent exam and good customer service. Dr. McManus is a good person and so is his wife and staff.

My daughter scratched my eye while we were rough housing. While she was giggling, I was mildly discomforted. My wife said if my cornea is scratched, I could lose my vision in 24 hours.Thankfully, eye care max fit me in around the time they were close to closing THAT DAY!...and also thankfully it was a small scratch that only required me to keep my eyes moistened and to stop rubbing my eyes.20/20 would reccomend and go again.

Able to fix my glasses with no problems and no cost. Did not take long either.

As always one can expect the professional service I yet again received while getting my latest eye exam and newst pair of glasses. Id highly recommend this establishment to anyone with unquestionable confidence!

Ive been bringing my daughter here since Pre-school. She loves their huge selection of frames and Dr. McMantis and his stuff are always friendly and helpful.

As caregiver for a friend who needs a small frame for her eye glasses, we were thankful to find several attractive frames that fit well from a wide selection of frames at Eyecare MAX. We were unable to find a frame that fit well at the eight other providers we tried in Davenport. Awful. Just awful. The staff are very rude and pretentious (about what, I have no idea). They managed to mess up a prescription that I have had for the previous eleven years and gave me something that wasnt even close. When I asked them to fix it, they were very put off by my request and even tried to charge me for fixing THEIR mistake. I would stay away from this place at all costs.

Never had such an amazing exam. I have fairly unique eyes and the doctor really showed he cared about my situation.
