Look glad we switched dentist from this money pit. They refuse a regular cleaning and wanted to charge around 900. Wife cap fees off and went elsewhere. They clean and redid a new cap for only $125. When I went They tried to push a $12000 procedure for a couple of implants in the back of my mouth. NEVER DISCUSSED other options instead of implants. Was happy to discuss financing though. So glad to be gone.

The place is always immaculately clean. The women at the front desk are exceptionally friendly and eager to assist, and answer any question that they can. The staff in the back, are just as exceptional as the front. They are sympathetic and understanding of ones needs. I cant say enough about the entire staff that I had the pleasure of being treated by. The prices there, for one that has no dental coverage, are more than fair and reasonable. My only regret is that I am terrible with names. Because each and every one of the staff deserves their own shout out.I highly recommend Aspen Dental of Danbury Connecticut. I will definitely be returning to them for all my dental needs.

Needless to say, I walked out and will never return.

Excellent Dentistry Practice. I chipped a tooth a month ago and after looking on-line at my options, I was drawn to Aspen Dental in that their website had the comprehensive look, information and feel of a company that had their act together. My inclinations proved correct as I entered my pre-established appointment and was drawn into a Dentistry Practice that is populated by professionals at every level of interaction. The visit was augmented by the latest technology and pros that know how to use it as a wonderful tool to patiently provide me with a deep dive into the current status of my mouthful of teeth. The team I encountered was terrific: Nicole, the x-ray and 3D modeling technician, Dr. Vijitha Bandla, whose expertise in identifying issues and establishing a rational game plan of remedy that I was grateful to encounter; Kathleen, the Dental Hygienist whose obvious professionalism and gentle ways helped me to understand the way forward toward more perfect gum health, and Business Manager Patrick Dermesropian, whose perfected consultation abilities regarding the best way for me to progress in terms of fiscal planning for the several visits ahead. I would highly recommend Aspen Dental for anyone interested in a top notch, highly professional team whose singular goals are rooted in providing their patients with the best possible experience and outcome. Thank You Aspen Dental.

I made an appointment as a new patient to get a teeth cleaning. I was advised over the phone my insurance wasnt accepted and after examining my teeth (which would be free) they could provide an out of pocket price for services. Upon arrival I was taken into a room to have x-rays performed and I informed the tech I didnt wish to have x-rays performed. She leaves the room and imminently this large women aggressively states I was right there when she told you over the phone you have to have a new patient exam. That means you need x-rays. I was shocked at how hostile she was with me. She never introduced herself before even beginning to speak to me. I expressed I was unaware a new patient exam meant I would need to take several step before even being able to getting my teeth cleaned. Possibly even have to return to have them cleaned. Due to this womens treatment I decided to leave without having anything done.

She looked at all my teeth told me I needed a crown on the tooth I was complaining about and a filling in the bottom. She didn’t clean my teeth and wouldn’t provide a temporary filling for the tooth in pain.I asked several times. It was disappointing to make an emergency appointment only to be told come back another day. He told me that Aspen dental will take me as an emergency patient, and do the tooth extraction that I needed to do asap. I called Aspen dental and was assured by them that I could come in and take care of this emergency. I drove 45 minutes to get to the office with the belief that I was getting an extraction and would FINALLY be out of pain! Instead, I get there and they did a full set of xrays (which I had just done less than 6 months ago at my current dentist office! They did an extremely thorough check up which took over an hour. I left there with an $18,000 dollar estimate for dental implants and dentures,,,and with my EXTREMELY PAINFUL tooth that I went there solely to get extracted (I explained that over the phone when I first called) still in my mouth!!!!! Instead of treating me as an emergency visit, which I clearly was...instead they chose to recruit me as a new patient ~ and completely ignore my purpose for being there! Shame on them.

I was a bit disappointed with my first experience, my son and I were both scheduled for first time visits as new patients. I was contacted several times before the appointment in regards to if I had insurance and issues with the times of the scheduled appointments. Approximately 35 minutes before the appointment (which was at 4pm) I was contacted that there was an issue with my sons appointment and that he wouldnt be able to see the hygienist because she had to leave early. I was under the impression that they wanted to change my sons appointment which I was not thrilled about - we had the appointment for 3 weeks and I arranged to leave early for work for this particular appointment. The receptionist did ask if I could get to the office earlier- which I was able to get there 30 minutes prior to his appointment time. When we arrived we waited about 15 minutes before he was brought the back. His x-rays and cleaning were done pretty quickly. They then began my x-rays around 4:30 or so, I was then brought to a room where my son was waiting after completing his cleaning. We waited there and around 5:00 pm I was seen by the doctor, I wasnt aware prior to the appointment I wouldnt actually be receiving a cleaning that day. So the actual dentist came in, she browsed at teeth and told me that I would need to have my wisdoms extracted and possibly Invisalign to fix overcrowding. It felt completely rushed, they did not discuss my x-rays or the scans done on me. I left without a cleaning and told that I needed work done that was never mentioned to me at any previous dentist (I just visited a dentist 7 months ago).Upon checking out I was told I needed to make another appointment to see what kind of cleaning I would need, then another appointment would be scheduled after that to do the actual cleaning itself. I then was quoted on extractions, Invisalign and a filing that apparently need before actually be told about the next two appointment needed before I can have my teeth cleaned. As for my son, he was quickly placed in the chair after me, I was told his teeth were fine. Thats it. No information on the x-rays that were taken of his mouth at all. I felt uninformed and rushed at both appointments because the appointments were made specifically with the intentions for his appointment to be first and mine to follow. I had spent around 25 minutes on the phone with the scheduling department to carefully plan this appointment. I left less than thrilled and not sure on my feelings as far as staying with this practice. Both of us were swapped out back and forth in order to accommodate both appointment but neither of us were given ample time to really discuss with the dentist or hygienist. Lastly, I do feel as though a patient should be informed that it will take 3 appointments before a cleaning is actual done on a patient. Its quite ridiculous and time consuming on a patients part to have to be told this at the initial appointment.

The work she did on my teeth allowed me be able to leave with a smile, something I have not done in a very long time. Because of my fear I was a nervous wreck. My biggest issue was embarrassment and fear of being judged. That never happened. Candace and Kathleen were comforting and reassuring with the work to be done and with almost no discomfort. Lesa, the office manager was so nice and explained everything to me regarding appointments and billing. Joe in the lab will be handling work part me, I have told everyone about this office. This office is 40 minutes from where I live and I am happy to travel with traffic to be part of their family. This is the very first time I was able to have a very positive experience. When I said I just wanted a regular cleaning that my plan covers, they responded that they cannot do anything less than what is recommended by the hygienist. They are a scam! A huge scam!! The firstt time I went to this location I (2018) was told I needed 4 fillings. I had 2 done and my teeth hurt a lot afterwards and have been sensitive ever since. Mind you I never had any problems or pain before this. I only did the two fillings but I didnt want to go back and do the remaining two (the treated teeth hurt and untreated teeth didnt and still dont).I just went in again (2019) because I have to get an annual cleaning for my state employee health enhancement program or else I get fined. I figured getting a cleaning would be easy enough and I could go back to them for that even though I wasnt happy with my first experience.I go in and the hygenist tells me that I have to do x-rays again. The dentist does some sort of an exam and Im told I need 4 fillings again...The hygenist then lectures me about not coming every 6 months. That was very awkward and unpleasant. I dont know this person and she doesnt know me and says Im going to lecture you now while Im in the dentist chair.I dont like going to dentist enough as it is. The last thing I need is to be demeaned while Im there by someone who doesnt treat me like a patient but more like a customer. She then tells me that she has to treat me for gingivitis and that my insurance doesnt cover the enhanced cleaning. I ask her just to do the basic cleaning. She says I cant I have to treat the gingivitis and tries to sell me a. Inch of mouthwash products as a part of the program and an electric toothbrush... She says I need a periodontal cancer screening...which is also not covered by insurance...All I wanted was a basic cleaning to meet my annual requirement. Its now turning into a cleaning with all these extras tacked on for a cost of over 300 dollars out of pocket...I felt like I was being ripped off and over charged and upsold at every turn all while being talked down to and treated like a child. It was a wholly unpleasant experience and I really dont want to go back.So now I have to go back in 2 weeks

We just returned from Aspen Dental in Danbury, CT. and needless to say extremely upset. One of my lower teeth split straight down the middle and along with the discomfort I am due for surgery, so the tooth has to come out. I stopped by and made an appointment for in the afternoon to have it pulled. Well, we went back and 2 hours later I left and still have my broken tooth in place. Almost everyone was very nice and Dr. Pinkos was great at explaining what needed to be done in my mouth. EVERYTHING. Right now I just wanted the tooth pulled and was assured it would be. Dr. Pinkos had a great and reasonable remedy for what needed to be done in the future. Heather Wiley (office manager), must be on commission and was the exception to (almost everyone) listed above. Heather checked with our insurance and after presenting us with a $9,000. estimate, my wife told her we would have to wait and check our budget. My wife said we just want to pull the tooth today. Heather then told us they would not be able to pull it. Are you kidding me!!! 2 hours we went through their agenda and told yes, they would pull the tooth. My wife knew she was going to deny us based on not signing a contract and then my wife lost it on her. It takes a lot to get her that angry. Unfortunately it is ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. I was convinced to apply for a creditcare card which I did and it covered the $1500 which I was supposed to pay out of pocket. I got my teeth cleaned and was given another date for checkup which I had to pay, so I cancelled this appointment. Two weeks later I received a mail from them showing that during/after the clean up I was administered some antibiotics. These same antibiotics are part of the initial cost of my bill. I have the first bill with me showing all the antibiotics to be administered and I didnt have to pay anything since I already paid my $1500 out of pocket fees. I have been calling them to rectify the issue but they kept putting me on hold for more than 20mins. This place is rock bottom on my list of dentists, and I have seen a fair share of them across the world. Not only are they constantly trying to oversell you on expensive procedures and treatments the insurance won’t cover, they demand you pay upfront but are never able to provide you with a bill of the actual charges even after the appointment “because it’s not in the system yet”, and they don’t have the correct information on insurance plans and coverage in their system. The last straw for me is that they now invoiced me retrospectively for a procedure I declined at my last visit and despite multiple calls to contest this, they haven’t removed the charge because “they have to talk to the hygienist” and they can’t access the central billing system. And it’s not that the service is any good either. My gums hurt and bleed for weeks after seeing the hygienist - much worse than at any other place I visited before, and a filling the dentist put in between two teeth more than a year ago still hurts when I try to floss despite theiry attempts to “adjust” it.The only reason I give two instead of just one star is that the hygienist is a lovely lady - but that‘s not enough to make me go back there.

I couldnt be more pleased with the work I had done at this office. From the time I walked in the door to the time I left, I felt welcomed, comfortable, and at ease. I had a bridge done approximately 15 years ago which spanned my front 3 teeth. Over the years, the gums had receded leaving the metal and cement underneath visible. This started to effect my self image and I found I was smiling less in photographs. I was hesitant about having the bridge replaced, as I had lingering fears from the lack of quality from the temporary bridge I had done years back. Dr. Pinkos and his team work together like a well oiled machine. From dealings with the receptionists, to the dental assistants, and hygenists it was apparent that I was in more than capable hands. My bridge preparation was quick and painless, and this is where it became evident I was being cared for by someone who isnt just good at their job, but rather an individual who displayed consummate skill in his craft. Dr. Pinkos meticulousness work and diligence shined after he finished creating the interim bridge that would be in place while the permanent bridge was manufactured. Dr. Pinkos essentially sculpted this bridge leaving me wondering if he minored in the fine arts. During the procedure all I heard was laughter echoing throughout the office which I found reassuring knowing Im in a setting with people who enjoy their jobs and, each other. I went back to have my permanent bridge put in the other day and could not be more impressed and happy with it. I have no issues and reservations about smiling in pictures or public and I owe it to the team at Danbury Aspen. Thank you to all of the team there. I rarely take the time to review places, but this I have to say was the worst dental practice I have ever experienced. I would not want others to have to go through what appears to be purely a profit focused way of practicing dentistry contrary to the integrity such medical providers should hold. I made an appointment for a simple routine cleaning. They require you to schedule a separate appointment before the cleaning for an initial exam then try to sell you initially a deep cleaning with antibiotic injections that costs $3,000. I can honestly say that I have never had an office try to convince me of a $3,000 procedure without even speaking with the actual dentist. In addition, I waited over an hour just for the initial exam. Although deep cleaning may be standard of care in particular cases, it also provides an extremely lucrative procedure for the practice without first considering more conservative alternatives.

Came here back in June of this year for a cleaning. This was my first and only visit. Although Im leaving a bad review I will say that the office staff was very polite and the wait was not long at all. The office is beautiful and, they tuned into one of my favorite shows Fixer Upper on HGTV. I wish I could list more positive things but unfortunately, this is where all of the pros end for me.After a short wait Im led into the back and they took a gazillion x-rays (I mean seriously Ive never had this many x-rays done on my teeth). Im then led into an exam room where I waited over 40 mins for the doctor to come in. Yes thats right ladies and gentlemen, OVER 40 mins! The tech who took my x-rays came in and out the room I was in to get supplies, not once offering an update (or any communication for that matter). I finally asked another tech what the heck was going on and she apologized and said the doctor is coming soon (this was at the 20 min. mark). Just as I was about to walk out the doctor came in and informs me that the dental hygenist was at a statewide meeting and was not able to do my cleaning (the sole reason for my visit). Why didnt the receptionist tell me this or at least reschedule my appointment? No one knows smh!Im then told to sit in another room to meet with the billing department. At this point Im confused and annoyed! Billing for what, you didnt do anything?! I wait for another 10 mins and then left. Now heres the kicker, I receive a $12 bill from this office for the exam and x-rays. I call them and we proceed to play phone tag and I get a bunch of someone will call you back responses. Of course no one called. I took it upon myself to call my insurance and ask what exactly consists of an exam and did you cover the service. My insurance company was baffled that I received a bill and tried to reach the dentist but of course they had no luck either. So here we are in September, almost three months later and all I can say is at least they took some pretty dope pics of my teeth, I guess.Moral of the story: Im finding a new dentist!

I went to Aspen as an emergency with an intense toothache from a broken tooth that had become infected. I waited for an hour past my appointment time and when I was finally taken in ,they took several xrays. I assumed that they would take a few of the problem tooth, but the tech didnt even ask which tooth was hurting. I stopped counting after 12 different xrays. The dentist came in finally ,only briefly looked in my mouth and said I needed to start antibiotics right away. She gave me a dose there and called in a prescription. I was then told I had to wait for the hygienist to measure my gums.I asked if we could do at a later appointment because I was swollen and in pain. I was told I had to do this. I waited another hour for her to finish with another patient, and was told I needed a $200 toothbrush and special toothpaste. Then I still wasnt allowed to leave.I was told that I had to wait for the office manager for my treatment plan I knew that I needed a root canal but was given a bill for over $11,000 worth of work. I said that I only wanted to handle the painful tooth right now and after she pushed me to open a credit card with them and I said no, the attitude changed. They then refused to make the appointment for the root canal until I paid 70% upfront ( 1475.00) This is after they had contacted my insurance and found out that they would pay 50% of it.I gave them a check but the next morning my entire face was red and swollen and I had a fever. When I called to report this, they just called in a different antibiotic and didnt even feel it necessary to see me. I ended up getting admitted to the hospital for a week on IV antibiotics for an infection that had spread through my entire face. I was told that a hygienist should not have been poking around an abscessed tooth and that it probably made things worse. I called to tell them I was hospitalized and they couldnt have cared less. The only reaction I got was when I wanted to cancel the root canal and asked about the $1475 check that they had already cashed. I was told that they wouldnt refund it because I had a pending insurance claim. When I asked how long that took I really didnt get an answer. I called my insurance company and found out that they put in claims for things I didnt have done including the $200 toothbrush. It should have been a red flag to me when as I was in the waiting room, 3 different people came in and were angrily asking to see the office manager and complaining about their bills that they were mailed. I know this review is lengthy but I wouldnt want anyone else to have to go through what I did.

This office has become a complete scam. They tell EVERYONE including my 23 and 25 year olds who have seen a dentist every 6 months forever that they have gingivitis and need a deep cleaning for several hundred dollars, not covered by insurance. This is their automatic go to with every patient. If you say you only want the regular cleaning, they refuse to give you service at all. And they automatically add a toothbrush and toothpaste for $200 to your bill without asking. High pressure sales and bullying instead of medical care. Its disgraceful. They just lost my family of 5 patients because of what they pulled with my daughter yesterday. And I will be informing the insurance company as well as the BBB.

Because my Insurance change, and my tooth routine clinic is up, so I found the Dental clinic near me in Danbury is in my Insurance plain. I went in ask for tooth routine clinic, after the examination the Dentist told me I have a tooth need to do the filling. He didn’t show me which tooth need to fill, anyway I think I should trust him , then with out the questioning him I payed it , the next couple day I went back for filling. After the Dentist numb my tooth, I asked him can you explain what do you going to do to me please, and that tooth I had it done couple years go, why need to refilling again? He said that tooth is leak. I am thinking : I already payed for it, if I said no they won’t return my money, let’s just trust him, in the middle of the procedure he’s Assistant said to him: be gentle . After the procedure is done, the Dentist told me: your refilling is close to the root, you will feel the pain in couple days, if the pain won’t go away you need to come back for root canal . After I left the Dental office I am in pain and the second week my face is swelling, but I will never go back to see him again.

LOOK FOR HIDDEN CHARGES! Went to aspen in January of 2018. They told me I needed a “deep cleaning” and that I had no cavities. They handed me an estimate for over $2400. (Insurance would cover half) On this estimate was a charge for a toothbrush, mouth wash, and toothepaste that I DID NOT ask for. They said they could recommend those products. NEVER did I say I wanted to buy their products! They distract you with an itemized list of charges, that I over looked those BOGUS charges! I went to a different dentist today. I HAVE 2 cavities! They also said I DON’T need a “deep cleaning”. ASPEN DENTAL WANTED TO CHARGE ME OVER $1000 for work I DID NOT NEED, and overlooked the 2 cavities I DO HAVE! I will say the staff was welcoming, and friendly. Try New England Dental in BROOKFIELD!

Update after 1 year: I went to another dental office that was a MILLION times better than Aspen. No surprise fees, no intentionally confusing jargon, no feeling like youre getting scammed. Take note, Aspen.I went to Aspen a few months ago because I had a cracked tooth that needed work done. As a young 20-something without dental insurance I hoped that theyd be more accommodating. Although the staff was very friendly and the dentist did a fine job, throughout the whole experience they were very sales-oriented and deceiving. If I hadnt looked closely at my already sky-high bill, I would have tripped over the hidden fees (watch out for the unnecessary ~$200 toothbrush/toothpaste, and $45 flouride treatment that they dont tell you about unless you point them out). I felt like I was at a car dealership instead of a genuine, honest dental office. I had no choice but to get my tooth taken care of this time, but Ill definitely be seeking a private practice in the future.

Phenomenal first visit there!! From the receptionist on. Each staff member cared about me. My only suggestion would be that you introduce yourself as you work with me. Not enough of a concern to decrease my review of Excellence!! Each of you did answer my questions which were many and important for my care since I had just left another large group because I never really knew what the plan of care for me was. You did this before I even mentioned my unsatisfactory service elsewhere. Thank YOU ALL!

This place is completely incompetent. My daughter went to get work done and was sitting in the chair where she wasnt told what was happening. THEY LIE! First, they tell you that the exam and x-rays are free and the cleaning is $100 or a special $80 to get you in the door but it turns out that it is $145 unless you know better and decline the $45 fluoride treatment and the $80 in only for children. Then, after the exam you go with Lisa to see about a payment plan. She prints out a treatment plan with an astronomical figure and while you are in pain and suffering from sticker shock, she proceeds to see if you qualify for credit. Then, SHE PUTS IT THROUGH, even though you are still thinking about it. She lies and says that you wont pay interest if you pay it faster but its actually a normal credit for 48 or 60 months at 14.9%APR. Imagine my surprise when I received a credit card from Care Credit with a 26.99%APR! They are very underhanded and I will not spend a PENNY at this practice.

I had to get a root canal, and it was a horrible experience. It took 3 visits, The first visit i was provided Novocaine, but because of over-scheduling patients, and the dentist working on me as well as other patients. They ran out of time and told me to come back again. She gave me Novocaine and then walked away and tended to other patients, i sat in the chair for almost an hour, I kept looking back at her (the dentist) and trying to see if she was going to come back to me, when she finally did, she acted irritated as if it was my fault that I kept looking at her to come back to me, by then the Novocaine had worn off and when she started drilling my tooth, I could feel it. She gave me more Novocaine and then a few minutes later began drilling. Then she told me they had to close and I would have to come back. The second appointment, they gave me Novocaine, waited, began drilling removing the tooth/nerves, then ran out of time again and gave me a temporary tooth, and told me to come back.So this third time I had to get several needles of Novocaine and drilling. They put in the tooth, and it was too big in height and not very wide, so two years later, today, it hurts and my jaw is sore almost everyday. Food is constantly getting stuck in the gaps between the teeth, far more so than with any of my other teeth. The dentists were unprofessional and the visits were not scheduled properly. For an operation that cost almost $2,000 out of pocket that I could barely afford, I had a terrible experience and I am thoroughly dissatisfied, with a constant reminder of the carelessness and callous attitudes of the dentists at this office. I will never recommend this place to anyone, and will go out of my way to tell this story.I should have complained at the time I got the operation, but I was younger, and was busy working 2 jobs with an infant daughter. - 2015Update: They told me I needed $20,000 work of work - went to a second - non-corporate dentist - I had 2 minor cavities - everything else looked great.Aspen wanted me to fill out loan paperwork - this place is scum

The worst dental office in this entire world, totally no clue about the billing and I will be charged always no matter what. If you step in, they are of no help when it comes to billing. I did my filling at this site and I has pain later but afraid to go this place again. I am OK to stay with pain rather going to this place. Even the managers there are of no help and they say the person left the office and they dont have any idea whats happening. Please stay away from this place.

Very disappointed. I felt like I was being sold a used car. I came in for two issues that were not taken care of related to money. Terrible went to have a broke filling looks at once i found my new dental insurance would accept my normal dentist. Had a series of unprofessional and painful xrays (yeah normally those really shouldnt hurt) never got to speak to an actual dentist was seen by a hygienist that diagnosed me with periodontists when two days earlier my normal dentist said all i needed was a crown and a basic cleaning. Aspen wanted to charge me thousands for things I did not need at all. I have since seen a 3rd dentist and he and the first both agree that aspen are a bunch of scammers and bullshit artists that just want to get you financed to make money patients be damned. Disgusted with this chain that could only be compared to the McDonalds of Dentistry. The office staff is pleasant, the Dr. Dinulescu was rude and spoke to me from behind the dental chair that faced forwards and I was still speaking and there was no answer and I turned to see that she left the room without a word which was very rude. I was in extreme pain from an infected tooth and I told her which tooth but instead took a dental implement and started banging away at my upper teeth and then I had to remind her it was the lower one but pleaded with her to not hit me in my bad tooth WHICH SHE DID ANYWAY!!!! I nearly jumped out of the chair and asked why did you do that , I begged you not to and she said she had to determine if I was in pain??? I TOLD HER I WAS IN PAIN FROM THE MOMENT I SAT IN THE CHAIR!!!!Dr. told me they had to determine I am in pain before prescribing narcotics. I DIDNT WANT NOR WOULD EVERY TAKE NARCOTICS...I ONLY NEEDED AN ANTIBIOTIC? WHAT KIND OF CLIENTS TO THEY SERVICE? DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND RUN RUN RUN FROM THIS LITTLE SHOP OF DENTAL HORRORS.
