Today I had to change eye doctors. Which is always a scary feeling. My doctor for over 10 years was no longer accepting my insurance. Not only was Dr. Hatton in my new network she took a variety of insurances. I feel like her staff brought me in, treated me like family and by the end of the appointment I felt not only impressed with the examination but left with confidence my vision was in great hands. I don’t typically review to much on google but I felt this experience warranted an amazing review and you should definitely check it out if you are in need of a good Eye Doctor! Especially if you are maybe as hesitant as I am to try out a new doctor.

This place was great! Loved the service and doctors. Only feedback is I ordered contacts and I guess they attempted to call me and put the wrong number for me so stopped trying to reach me after a call… they had my email and could have taken the extra step but instead waited over a month for me to reach out. Y’all can do better here. Otherwise I’d definitely make this my eye place.

Everyone was super friendly. The doctor explained the exam thoroughly. I appreciate how the doctor shows you the inside of your eyes and explains what we were looking at in the eyes. I love how the eye doctor took the time and made sure you were comfortable during the eye exam; the doctor showed me that she cares about what lines I could see for my eye exam. I enjoyed talking with the doctor about the new features coming with glasses, which showed how much she loves her profession.

Of all the eye care places I have used, Optix is my favorite. The waiting room, and exam rooms, are comfortable and inviting. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Every assistant and doctor I have had are very relaxed and easy to talk to. They take the time to cover your results and any questions or concerns you may have. Every visit is as relaxed and patient oriented as it could possibly be. It does not get any better than Optix EyeCare.

Dr. Dirks was very thorough with both the vision and health of the my eye exam. Front office staff and the staff member that took the scans of my eyes were very polite and professional. After all the nice professional staff members I was turned over to I believe her name was Kelly to try and pick out some new sunglasses. She was very abrasive and rude and just kept tacking on charges without explaining what they were. I ended up ordering just replacement lenses for my current glasses and taking my prescription to Target who also accepts my insurance and buying my sunglasses there.

I love the staff at Optix and the great feel of being a patient there. Dr Fain has been my family optometrist since 2008 and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. She consistently hires great help who seem to care about us as people. I’m from a small town and was hesitant about the level of personal care I could expect when moving to Dallas. I have always felt valued here and believe locally-owned small businesses like this are essential to our daily life. My eyes are great because of the great care we receive from Optix.

The staff and doctors are extremely professional, efficient, explanatory, and effective in making excellent evaluations for my eye care. This office has the most modern and up to date equipment! I have never had such a thorough optometric exam which included pictures of my retina, views of my cataract, and more. This gave Dr Fain the diagnostic information necessary to provide me with a comparison of what my vision was on my last visit and the change that had occurred over the last year. I easily understood the benefits of a new prescription and was actually able to visually see the improvements in my vision I may have! I am a perfectionist and am excited about new eyewear to make my vision the most perfect possible!I wouldn’t go anywhere else, this office is the very best, I personally thank them and feel blessed by the entire experience! Although there was a bit of a wait it wasnt more and 30 minutes and since I used to work in an eye clinic I understand how that can happen. The staff was great, very friendly and welcoming. I was very pleased with my appointment.

Ive been twice now to this facility and love it. Not only is it beautiful but the newer technology that they have allows them to see changes in my eye from year to year. Not having to be dilated for my exam is huge for me and worth the extra $40 for the scan. The doctors are great and have provided me with above average care.

After owning glasses for over a decade, I have to say this is the highest quality service I have ever received for my eyes. They went above and beyond to make sure that I felt comfortable, and educated with the process that they took me through.Their choices in frames are the highest of quality. If you are someone who cares about your eye health, and style then this is the place for you to visit. I have now introduced it to my wife and 3 friends in the Dallas area.

The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because both the technician and Dr. Dirks were highly professional and knowledgeable. Unfortunately their wonderful service was tainted by a poor front desk experience. Upon arrival and filling out the necessary paperwork (new patients), we were asked to sign a HIPAA agreement and another sheet that was conveniently tucked underneath without explanation.Upon checkout, after our eye exams, my husband and I were told the charges for both of us would total $94. We were confused since this was a routine eye exam and questioned the charge. It was then explained that because they had taken specialized photos of our eyes (apparently as an alternative to dilation), that those fees were not covered by insurance. She then mentioned oh that was the second form you signed and gestured toward the clipboard. There was absolutely not a thorough or clear explanation prior to our exam, as neither my husband or I would have opted in for the the specialized photos.The whole thing just felt like a scam and made us wonder if theres a bonus or commission structure set up based on how many people sign up. Please properly and clearly explain to patients what their options are and give them a heads up about these charges and what their choices (electing dilation or not) are.

Dr Hatton is awesome! Very personable, and her entire staff is great! Very up to date with the latest and greatest technology. Wonderful eyewear selection! Very impressed with Kelly the manager and optician. She has worked for Dr Hatton for many years. That made me feel very comfortable! Her associate Optician is great as well. You can’t go wrong with Optix Eyecare.

I woke up with eye pain, knowing I have an infection, and of course on a Saturday. I had an appointment in less than 30 minutes and was fixed right up. Everyone was so nice and with me being from out of town, they still treated me as if I were a long time patient. Such a blessing!

I had a really bad experience when I went in for my eye exam and to buy my eyeglasses. The eye exam was OK although I disagree with the machine they use to find the shape of your eye. It gives of a bright light, so you blink and the machine reads the Wong size. I than went too get my glasses and then I got RIPED OFF they put in the order for the new lines and they just told me what kind I needed and did not talk to me about them. I didnt need the ones they order for me. They made me believe that I needed the expensive lines and that I looked good in the glasses they picked for me. They lied to me three times. Victoria got me most of my money back ànd they redid my exam.Thank you Victoria

The optometrist is great.However, the office is difficult to get a hold of. Difficult to book an eye exam. The office also mistakenly shipped my contacts to another address.

The doctor made me feel as though she really cared about me as a person, in addition to taking all the time I needed to explain my vision and eye health. Plus, these glasses look awesome on me. :)

I had a great experience with these folks a couple months ago. So much so that I recommended my wife to go there. Mistake. They took advantage of her and rendered expensive services without informing her first, and were subsequently rude as heck when I spoke to them about it later. And their frames are ludicrously overpriced, buy online instead!

My mother woke up Saturday and could not see out of her right eye. Her own eye doctor did not respond to repeated calls to his emergency line. My mother was thinking it was just a blood vessel or something and wanted to wait. I called my eye care doctor at Optix Eye care and they moved mountains to get my mom in for an evaluation right away. They determined within minutes that she was not having an eye related event. Dr. Mustgroves convinced her to go to the ER where we found she had a stroke. They were able to treat her and ran tests to find other challenges we were not aware of. She still has no sight in her eye due to the stroke, but I know she would not have gotten the treatment she needed if it were not for the staff at Optix Eye Care and Dr. Mustgroves. The doctor even followed up with a phone call on the weekend. I have seen Dr. Fain-Hutton for years and know how wonderful she is. Now we have another reason to thank Optix Eye Care. They really care about their patients.

I was happy with Optix until I found out that they should have returned the stock lenses to me after replacing them with prescription lenses in the Maui Jim glasses I purchased. I confirmed with Maui Jim that they always return stock/demo lenses. They have offered to sell me new lenses, which is failed opportunity to do what is right.
