I arrive 10pm for my appointment and because they didn’t change the address here (google maps) I went in the wrong building. The place is huge and it took me literally 15 mins to find the right suite and when I got there the clerk told me that the doctor wouldn’t be able to see me. Any place you go they give you 15 grace period and even if the problem was delaying the next patient after me she could had at least make my appointment time shorter. I drove 40 mins to go in to my appointment to be turn down. I’m really sad with that, the doctor could at least face me and explain why this is happening. Another thing, I never got a text message to confirm appointment or with the right address, I only received a call when I was at work about my consultation.

My family has been seeing Dr Shughrue for many years and we love her. She listens patiently to each issue and to date she has always been spot on with her diagnoses and any medicine she might prescribe. I trust her completely with my familys health issues .

Dr. Shughrue was my doctor while in Dallas for years.And since moving away I have found no other Family Doctor ( pcp) that meets her stands except one. .Dr. Shughrue,DO is still top doctor for me and I am praying when I move back she will except me into her practice again,.She a caring,well diverse doctor, always on top of her game. Best Doctor in Dallas, hands down!

Dr. Shughrue cares for her patients well. She has been my doctor for 4 years and helped me through a few health issues. She takes the time to understand my symptoms and cares for me as a whole person. I trust her evaluations, referrals and medical opinion so highly! I recommend her often to those looking for a holistic approach to medicine and a quality doctor!

I have been a patient of Dr. Shughrue for 3+ years. I specifically chose her as a physician trained in the BaleDoneen Method. She is always thorough. She is great at addressing the overall health and well being of the patient. I am 58 and enjoy excellent health. I take no prescriptions, except for low dose female hormones. My blood pressure has been consistently better since I started with Dr. Shughrue and made some adjustments to my lifestyle. I like having a follow up appointment scheduled as I leave. It keeps me informed of lab results and encourages me to make good choices that affect my health.Medicine today is frustrating. I blame the system as much as anything. I work in dentistry, so I know how overwhelming the laws, rules and regulations are for the physician. I believe Dr. Shughrue is doing a great job to manage all of this and still actually care about her patients.Iris has a lot to manage and I believe she does a good job, too. It can take a while to check out. But, I appreciate that she crosses her ts and dots her is.All this being said, I have on occasion been annoyed that someone didnt get my prescription called in, or that the assistant wasnt as informed as I thought she should be. But, that is the reality of medicine today.I am happy to have found Dr. Shughrue. I didnt really think physicians like her still existed. If you want a doctor who will address your overall health, not just your current problem, you will love her. To maintain wellness takes some work on your part, too, as shes not a miracle worker. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Shughrue.

I highly recommend Dr. Shughrue. She is very knowledgeable and up to date with all current info and research. She actually gets to the root cause of whats causing your health issue or ailment, and offers great tools and tests that many western doctors do not. I am truly grateful for her services and have recommended her to many of my friends and family members. Dr. Shughrue is awesome!

We were referred to this clinic by a former patient. Who said nothing but excellent things. We wanted to make a consultation and pay out of pocket for the initial visit and was told they would not see my mother in law unless she had private insurance.After we asked if they do accept out of pocket patients they said they do but refused to see my mother in law and still declined service. I mean who does this? If a customer wants to pay CASH for the initial visit what is the problem with that? Also we informed them she is from Brasil and is working with 2 private insurances and they still refused her. They had no legitimate reason for refusal of service. Definitely disappointed and very confused about their behavior.

I have been going to Dr Shughrue for about 12 years. She and Pam and all the staff have always been kind, professional and easy to talk to.

Dr. Shughrue is wonderful. She is the kind of doctor everyone needs. She knows medicine but combines the use of supplements to achieve restoration of health and wellness. She is easy to talk to.

Dr Cynthia is wonderful. But I spend 4 hours trying to make appointment the secretary service is terrible. They told me to hold and I hold it for 45 minutes, then this person just pick up the phone and said sorry you are new you have to wait. WOW. more 45 minutes e the line went off

I saw Dr. Shughue for 4 years. Dr. Shughue and her nurse Pam are great in person. The problem is that they have zero followthrough. She would never call or let me know about any test results, and never came up with a plan for improvement on anything she saw. Even more aggravating is her front desk staff. It is impossible to get any questions answered, and they will place you on hold for 10+ minutes every time. Im glad I made the switch away from her because Im finally getting answers on my health issues that shes had the capability of doing for years.

Amazing, Friendly, & Knowledgeable about so many things. Dr Shughrue and her staff will help you feel better and live a healthier life inside and out.

I would give Doctor Shughrue 5 stars as she is very straightforward (which I can appreciate), she has also helped me with many issues that others have not been able to, but I agree 100% with the comments below, IRIS is the absolute WORSE! Most unprofessional staff Ive ever met. I think clients in prison receive better services from officers. She leaves you on hold, is rude, not understandable and always screws something up. Im sitting im the office now watching her scroll through JCP and the Sephora website. Maybe if she would dedicate her time to her work, things wouldnt be so jacked up.As stated before, this doctor is great and the office is very clean and nice, but good luck being treated with respect and be sure to double check anything Iris touches.

Best doctor Ive ever had! She always tries to get to the root cause of my issues and provides common sense lifestyle solutions.

First and foremost, the amount of times Iris can put you on hold and forget about you is unreal. Coupled with the fact she can never answer a question on anything, call back when says she will and takes about twenty to thirty mins just to check you out, even as a cash pay customer is just unacceptable.There are way too many patients squeezed in, so a simple appointment always turns into hours of waiting, (30-40mins in the waiting room, another half hour or so after seeing the assistant, about FIVE minutes with the doctor and then 20-30 trying to leave.) It is also impossible to actually receive call back from anyone, and talk to a person, you are always directed onto their email system, by which it is impossible to get answers from and you must log into each time to read or respond to.The doctor is actually really nice and perfectly competent, in my opinion, but packing in a client every fifteen minutes, and effectively turning my visit into a two hour procession feels really impersonal and not the kind of patient/doctor relationship I want or how I want to spend hours of my day.My final and largest concern with this office, each time I have gone in for something and leaving with my prescription/ plan of action, before even leaving, I am asked to schedule a next/ follow up appt, evidently to ensure the treatment was effective. So I am not sure if this is an lack of confidence in her advice, or a simple way to keep the money moving. More than anything it just makes me feel like my time and money are not of concern/value.Based on all the other reviews, and a friends recommendation, I was actually really excited to meet with someone whos reputation was that of someone who was very thorough, thoughtful and tried to utilize natural practices over traditional pill-popping. Although, after a few disappointing visits, it is unfortunate to realize I will not be receiving that kind of treatment/ care.

I have been seeing Cynthia Shughrue for 9 years now and my experiences are nothing less than professional and excellent. I have absolutely no intentions to ever replace her as my primary care physician and I will remain her loyal patient for many years to come.
