I was billed for a $25.00 office visit I never made. I had called and talked to the receptionist at which time she said the NP would call back to talk to me because they weren’t bringing in patients because of COVID. I said I don’t want an appointment I just needed my CPAP machine fixed and would they call downstairs so we can get me a new one or a loner. Never heard back from anyone. No one called me. I went to a new doctor.Months later I get the bill for the $25.00. It’s described as a “no show”. I immediately called Dr. Warner’s office and was only able to leave voice mail. No one ever calls you back from there! Then I called bookkeeping and they told me I’d have to call Dr. Warner’s office to get it straightened out! I received a couple of statements and sent them back to bookkeeping telling them I most certainly did not have an appointment and was billed in error. We were in the middle of COVID and I’m a senior citizen! They were not bringing in patients especially elderly ones. That’s what the receptionist told me on the initial phone call. So today I get the statement that says they are going to take collection action if I don’t pay within 10 days. I called Warner’s office and they transfer the call to Patient advocate. Seems they talked to Dr. Warner and he said the charge stands! I reluctantly had to pay this bill in protest or my good credit would have been jeopardized. As a retired Corporate Credit Manager for some of the biggest companies in the USA, I am not going to let this go.
A couple years ago my husband, Danny, was having some health issues. An out of town doctor told him he needed to see a pulmonologist. It was during the holiday season & Dr. Warner was out of town. As soon as he returned one of his staff members, Sandra, got him right in. Dr. Warner quickly diagnosed his problem & got him started on the right medication. We are forever grateful for all they done & continue to do. In our opinion they are by far the best!
Cullman Internal Medicine has the best staff of doctors, RNP, nurses and support personnel. I have my primary care doctor, pulmonologist, and cardiologist all under one roof. Very caring, kind and professional.
