Upon entering Avalon I was greeted and the wait was non-existent. I met with Paige who was chosen as my stylist for that day. Paige was kind and knowledgeable; She answered many questions that I had regarding haircare and product advice. She cut and colored my hair in what I felt was a very short amount of time due to our enjoyable conversation. She washed my hair (it felt like heaven!) and styled it using strictly vegan and cruelty free products. The vision I had for my hair came to light in front of my eyes! My hair turned out absolutely incredible and I will be a permanent client for as long as possible!

Kim had been doing my hair for almost 11 years, she just moved to the crystal lake location, without hesitation I followed her there. I never give her direction, even through she always asks, my hair looks amazing every time! Used to have a great experience here till they lied about my stylist no longer doing hair. Not only did they lie, but the girl they gave me butchered my hair and thats no exaggeration. I asked for a balayage and this girl did the balayage, did nothing to the top of my head and then chopped off all the balayage plus 4 different layers or hair. It was the worst experience ever and my hair still looks terrible. They said they would refund me and never did...This was March 2021. Save your money and you hair and go elsewhere

Worst blowout I’ve ever had in my life. My dominant hand is broken, and I still could’ve done a better job myself. That being said, it certainly cost less than other places.

Im really disappointed in the professionalism of this salon. I had an appointment scheduled for today, I received a phone call telling me my stylist quit and I needed to either use a different stylist or reschedule for a different day (different stylist). I let them know that I wasnt ready to reschedule and didnt really want a new stylist so I needed to cancel the appointment for now.Imagine my surprise when my stylist calls today wondering if Im still coming in. So not only did you lie to me about my stylist not being available you also didnt remove me from her schedule ensuring she would miss out on making that income (tips as I understand this salon is hourly). I cant help but feel that that salon vindictively tried to punish my stylist for leaving and make sure she wouldnt poach me as a client. Honestly this place is close to my house and I probably would have stayed. Now I can say for certain that I will not be returning.

The staff here are all super knowledgeable and friendly, and all are amazing at what they do. I always walk out of the salon thrilled with my hair. Ive been going here for around 2 years now to get my vivids done, and have been incredibly happy with the service.

My teenage daughter had her hair cut at Bii. We felt welcomed the moment we walked into the salon by the friendly hostess. We were offered choice of beverages, and made to feel at home. My daughter really liked her haircut. The price was very reasonable for a great cut. I would highly recommend this salon!

Been going here for about 7 years and that’s the longest I’ve ever stuck with one salon. I love their rewards program too! Not many places have that. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

I am so happy I found Bii while searching for a new salon! I have been trying to find a new salon home after jumping around a lot and I think I finally have! I recently tried to cut my own hair into a long bob and while not terrible, it wasnt great either. I booked an appointment with James to get it fixed and I fell in love with him and everyone else at Bii! He was super, super sweet and helpful and gave me a great cut.I was also really impressed with the girl at the front desk, Delaney. She was very sweet and actually gave me a paraffin dip while James finished with another customer (even though the wait really wasnt that long.) It was super thoughtful and a great add-on to the experience. While I was sitting with my hands in the baggies, another stylist, Adam, came over to introduce himself.Many salons feel unwelcoming and Bii could not be more opposite. From the service to the use of eco friendly products that didnt aggravate my asthma, my experience truly could not have been better. I booked my next cut before I left and I cant wait to go back! :)

Ive been a regular customer of Bii since theyve been open. They have done fantastic work on my hair. They have helped me have fun again with my hair while still maintaining a look that is business appropriate. I highly value their knowledge and skills to help me look their best. They even recommended a shampoo and conditioner that has helped to keep my hair full and my hairline from receding. I try to send all my friends and family to Bii because I know they are in friendly and talented hands. Cant wait for my next appointment.

I made an appointment here as a response to a Welcome to the Neighborhood letter. I have to say from schedule appointment call to end of service I felt the attention they pay to their customers. When talking my new stylist, I felt listened to and understood. The end result was awesome. So happy with cut and color. I’m looking forward to my next appointment.

This is the only salon that I will go to, to get my hair done. I always have Jacqui do my hair since shes never messed it up once and always does 150% on it. The salon is extremely clean and the environment is excellent, everybody is always so nice and Ive never once had a bad experience here. Everybody does an amazing job and Ive never come out of the salon unhappy and nobody is anything but professional. I always feel right at home whenever Im here and Im sure if I could spend hours and hours there I would. Definitely the best salon that Ive been too and will be the only place that I go to for my hair.

Love this place! After 1 visit i know this is easily going to be my new go to salon. Jacquelyn is super sweet and gives amazing cuts, especially if you have curly or coarse textured hair.

Needed an all-over color correction so thought I’d try Bii since it uses natural products. James, my stylist, was very knowledgeable and thorough discussing my options. The resulting color was as we discussed but after living with it a day I realized it was just too light for my comfort level. I called Bii and without hesitation they scheduled an appointment for the next day. James fixed the color at a reasonable price and even taught me a great styling trick to tame my curls. Overall, everyone at the salon was very nice, professional and provided great service. Highly recommend.

Visited Bii for the first time yesterday. I will be back. I felt welcome as soon as I walked in the front door. They are very professional and make you feel like they are happy to see you. Erin was my stylist and she did a wonderful job. She took the time to find out what I wanted and nailed it!I had an all over color and cut. My hair feels and looks healthy. I will definitely return.

This place really earned 5 stars. It’s a long story so buckle in.I had been going to a different salon for the past few years and I got a Spafinder gift card that I couldn’t use at my usual place. Enter Bii. I scheduled a haircut within a couple of days. The salon itself is beautiful and the staff is very welcoming. Lots of products in the front of the salon with an “experience counter” where you can test products while you wait. I got my haircut by someone (I wish I could remember her name!) and enjoyed great conversation and I felt she really listened to what I wanted. She ended up round brush blow drying my hair at the end, which is not how I usually style my hair, and unfortunately as a result I couldn’t tell if I liked it because it was so different than how I style it. I felt like I left looking like a 1950’s housewife and wasn’t loving it, but thought it was just because of the flippy-ness of the blow dry. I went home and straightened it to how I usually do it, and I was NOT happy. I was in tears and so upset! I took some time to chill out, but then looked at it again later in the day and really felt there were some things I didn’t like about it. So, for the FIRST time in my life, I called them back to tell them I wasn’t happy and to see if I could come back in to have them fix it. Adam, one of the co-owners answered and was so extremely kind and sympathetic, even though I was ridiculously pathetic and hysterical. He scheduled me for the next day with a different stylist, Amber. She was SO great and listened to my concerns about the cut, and we talked through some options for how to fix it. She re-washed and dried my hair, then touched up the parts I wasn’t happy with. She was so kind and I felt so terrible for coming back and she reassured me that they want me to be happy and want to earn my business, and boy, did they do just that. I left feeling heard, and with a haircut I was much much happier with. Thank you to EVERYONE for all you did to make sure I loved my hair.Also, it’s worth noting that the first person who cut my hair didn’t do anything wrong I don’t think, and I would have told her what I didn’t like after the first cut, but I just couldn’t see it quite right with the blow out. I would definitely get a haircut from her again!

Sarah was great! She was very patient with me because I wasnt 100% sure of the color I wanted my hair to be. She gave me color options before we went into it and she suggested a style that would match me. I would definitely recommend this place.

Im very specific when it comes to my hair, boarder-line annoying, because its thick and curl; a lot going on with it. So its very difficult for me to find a location that works for me. Today was the second time Ive gone to Bii Hair Salon in West Dundee and again its the best experience, all around. From the moment you walk in, to the hair wash, to the cutting/styling process, till you check out- phenomenal. I drive 30 mins to get to this salon and Id drive +1hr!!My girl was Ms Jacquelyn. Love her! Sweet, personable, professional and extremely talented!

This place is absolutely horrible.The customer service is repulsive, the managers are inconsiderate and the stylists are just bad. I made my mistake of going to this salon, but hopefully I can help someone else not make my mistake.I asked for PASTEL PINK hair and ended up with over bleached and damaged hot neon pink hair. They kept me in the chair for SEVEN HOURS and charged me 300 dollars for something I told them I did not want. I talked with the manager later and he was so rude and disrespectful. He was only concerned about the money with no regards for his customer.DO NOT GO HERE-your fellow customerI would give this place zero stars but I had to enter something

Stella needs to change her name to Stellar. I came in with orange roots and gray/green ends. I tried to have it fixed at a place down the street and they made it worse so I came into Bii with a lot of apprehension. Stella was so sweet and METICULOUS. She went over every stands of my hair and made sure that both the bottom and the top matched. She actually cared that I looked good and seemed to really love her job. It took 4 hours but I left wanting to cry I was so happy. I went from Orange roots, muddy brown middle and gray/green ends to a beigy beautiful dark blonde. I found a salon for life I will never go anywhere else. Ive never had someone so dedicated and kind I cant say enough good things! Stella has a customer for life! The salon was also comfortable and so pretty and its obvious why this place was voted number one. Thanks Stella!!!
