Alli made me feel like a brand new lady! This place is immaculate and professional. I’ve never had a bad experience. Everyone I’ve interacted with over the years is kind and welcoming. I’ve been to other places but this place is hands down the best spa in NWI. Side note: their rewards program ROCKS!

I had an amazing experience today. It started with a call about a pedicure, I ended up getting scheduled same day really looking forward to a mani and pedi. Well they ended up having a booking I could do for both. I had Jacky for my toes and she did a great job keeping me comfortable and relaxed. I had Skylar for my manicure and she wasnt afraid to try something creative and new on my nails and even thanked me for my experience. I had never had a facial before and since they had an opening and I had one more hour with my sitter I decided to try it. I was shocked but it was my favorite part of the experience. I had Alli. She was so nice and professional and she made me feel totally at ease. She thoroughly explained what she thought was best for my skin and did great shoulder massage with it and just made my experience so amazing. I would come back just for her alone! Im hoping to be back as much as I can as my budget allows. Im also was taken care of by Denise I believe to get to where I needed to go and she was super kind. I loved the cucumber water and the relaxing time before the facial. I had a wonderful day ladies thank you so very much!! I look forward to coming back.

She was knowledgeable of the products, took her time with the consult, wash, and cut. My hair looks and feels awesome. I am so happy with my first salon experience here! Can’t wait to come back! 😄

This is a great place for massages and to get your hair cut and colored. McKayla always does a great job cutting my hair and I had her color it for the first time and I absolutely love the color she came up with. Im so happy with it and will go nowhere else. Prices are fair and Im very impressed when I washed my hair there was absolutely no color bleeding! Thanks Mckayla you are awesome!

I had my first experience at State of Mind yesterday, and what an experience it was. Pattie, Amber, and Alex were an excellent team! I felt like a celebrity! I learned so much about hair style in comparison to face shape, how your hair responds when there is too much protein in it, what products to use, how often to color roots in lieu of the whole head. My hair has never felt healthier. I look forward to my next hair appointment, and I cant wait to experience the spa. Thank you ladies so much!!!

I came in for the first time to purchase a gift card for my sister who has been coming here. While I was waiting a younger stylist was working to the left of me. Either the manager or owner came over to her and starting yelling at her about her appearance right in the lobby and she was talking pretty loudly so it was hard not to listen. It seems like the employees here are treated poorly.

Today was my first time at the Spa. Jean did an Amazing Sweetish Massage! So good that I rebooked for a longer massage in 2 months!

I see Andrea for pedicures and manicures and her nail art is just so fun. I see Kristy for therapeutic sport massages and shes great at releasing those knots! Maeghan for my facials and she helps keep my skin youthful and glowing. I look forward to all my appointments and catching up with these ladies. I highly recommend SOM!

The only reason I am giving this place a 1 star is because I have to and because the spa was great. My hair on the other hand horrible. A consultation was done over the phone and I sent a picture of what I wanted and what my hair was at the time. Was told it would be between $250.00 and $350.00. I was also told I would be there for approximately 3/4 hours. This was the first time ever visiting the salon when I showed up I was shown a few searches and picked one out and then after being there 5 hours!! I was handed off to someone to recut and style my hair. This is when I noticed it was bad literally horrible not anything at all what I wanted and was almost in tears as she finished drying my hair. I told her I was not happy and was then told that sometimes it takes multiple sessions ( was never told this nor was my hair that complicated to take multiple sessions). Was then told to make another appointment which I’m sorry but after paying ) $350.00 and losing all trust I scheduled the appointment but cancelled after finding out I was being placed with the same stylist. I found out the stylist has only been there a short time. I’m very disappointed with my hair, the cut, the color, the length of time it took. I would return for the spa but that’s it.

Loved everything about it! The stylist was super sweet, the shampoo was so nice, and the cut and style looked awesome!! Ill definitely be back soon!

The entire staff is helpful and friendly, while the spa atmosphere takes you away to feel like you’re at a resort spa. It’s been almost two years since I’ve been going to State of Mind. It started with a wax with Mandy who is excellent at what she does. From there I decided to donate my hair and get it colored! The ladies in the salon are all excellent. Most recently Haley did a cut and color for me it turned out great. I’ve also had a few massages from Tina! Everyone there is extremely welcoming and professional. It is so nice to have an upscale spa like this in NWI so I don’t have to drive into Chicago!

My bridesmaids and I got our hair and makeup done for my wedding on 9/1/18. The salon was absolutely wonderful!!! Mandy did my makeup and even though the day was humid, my makeup stayed impeccable the entire time! Kira did my hair and it look so beautiful that I didn’t want to take it out at the end of the day! Both Mandy and Kira listened to what I wanted and they were very open to my feedback when I decided to make changes to the look. Also, our party rented out the bridal room at the back of the salon and it was perfect for eating lunch/breakfast, drinking champagne, and relaxing. My bridesmaids got ready in their dresses there and it was nice they could use the full length mirrors and private restroom. Much appreciation for State of Mind!! Thank you!!

I have come here for a few motherhood massages throughout my pregnancy. I highly recommend this spa! Mallory is absolutely wonderful, and I always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. Sitting in the massage chairs before and after my actual massage help me calm my mind before the massage and give a nice transition from the massage room back to the real world. The facility is very clean, and everyone is very friendly!

Okay first of all, for anyone wondering, Jenelle is at the Honey Hive off of the square.So, I used to love this place. Went here for everything. Then all of a sudden about a year, year and a half ago, I started feeling like I was at a used car dealership every time I came in. Especially for massages, they kept pushing their package deal on me. And then Id go up to the front and it would get brought up again. They also would kind of push the essential oil upgrade on you each time, too.Jenelle was obviously my stylist for my hair, and Ive never had a complaint with her, not once.Oh, and there was a deal once where my masseuse gave me a coupon for half off of a manicure or something, and there was an opening for a manicure right at that time. I picked out two colors I liked while I was waiting. The lady who was doing the manicure greeted me and I showed her the two colors and said Id like to do something with these (hoping shed have a suggestion for me). She took them from me and kind of slowly, condescendingly said well both of these are nice colors, but I dont have time for that. So apparently she was put out by the last minute appointment and just wanted to rush me through the whole appointment, because she was pretty sloppy with it.I feel like the whole place has gone downhill suddenly and whoever is in charge needs to get a better handle on their employees or get another manager in or something to help them.

I have been going to State of Mind every month for a massage with Christina for the past year, and I can honestly say it is the most relaxing and enjoyable thing I have done for my self in many years. Now its the only gift I ask for on holidays, birthdays and Mothers Day!!! Next will be the sugar scrub, and then hair, nails and toes. The spa was nice & I enjoyed my massage. I wish I read some of the other reviews before going. I have to say I agree with another post about the manicure & pedicure. It was one of the most expensive mani pedis Ive ever had & totally not worth the price at all!! I just had my nails done yesterday & my polish is already chipped. The other spa service was good, I would just pass on the nails because it totally is not worth it for the price or experience!

Everyone here is warm and welcoming. Brittany does a great cut and color. They are very accommodating with making appointments and they dont leave you waiting for your scheduled service. The atmosphere feels high-end without being stuffy or off-putting. I cant wait to schedule a spa service very soon.

Kristy is an amazing massage therapist! I give her the highest recommendation! I have lower back issues, and my monthly massages with her really help the muscles to relax and increase blood flow. She always consults with me beforehand to see how I’m feeling and if there are any areas of concern that we need to address. She’s also a great person and really cares about her clients. Also, Mandy is a GREAT esthetician and a really nice person! I also give her the highest recommendation! I see her on a monthly basis for Vitamin C facials and my skin has never looked better. She always consults with me beforehand to address any issues I may be having. She also gives an AMAZING scalp massage during your service. You’ll never want it to end!

This place must be a Spa first and a salon second. I went in for a partial highlight and a haircut/style. The girl that did my hair seemed knowledgeable but could have been more friendly. However, the highlights I wanted were no way what was done. I wanted my hair very light and expressed this to her. I spent a lot of money here and was dissatisfied. On top of that I was informed that if I did not like my color it would be another $47.00. I should have run right there, most salons would do it for free if I was not satisfied. Overall everything was clean and the staff for the most part was friendly.

To my disappointment, she is no longer with the salon, however, her mentee Brie was available. Okay, I was hesitant and on the fence. Very impressed with the service and the facility. Its nice to have an upscale spa in NWI. They have full service hair, nails, massages, some food, etc. And private spaces for couples or parties (think small bridal shower.) My massage was relaxing and I already scheduled my next appointment. =)

This is a Chicago/New York quality spa with small town prices located IN MY BACKYARD. I had one of the best facials of my life with Renee, who knows ALL about skin care. Went here for the first time this past weekend and it was absolutely perfect, from start to finish. Ive lived in NWI for over 10 years and cant believe Ive never visited this place before now. I definitely plan on returning as often as my finances will allow. The services I received were worth every penny.

I had my first visit last week in order to use a gift card I was given. I will say everyone was extremely nice and so was the Salon itself, but I had the worst and most expensive manicure and pedicure I have ever received. My cuticles were barely pushed back and not trimmed at all and polish was not applied well, partially because of the fact the cuticles were not made even in any manner. I dont plan on returning.

My husband got me a renewal package for Christmas. Everything was amazing from the staff to the treatments to the atmosphere. Ive now been back several times and brought friends. If you are looking for an amazing experience, look no further.

Always perfect. Salon is a bit too pricy for me, but the service is great. The spa is wonderful, Megan is my favorite for a facial! Even though Ive only seen her a few times, she always remembers me. Even if Im not seeing her for my service, she will stop by and say hi.
