I was a patient of dr. Stubbs for a short time because i forgot to tell ger that the things i write on my medicine containers no matter how personal is for my information so that i will know what the medicine is for and not for the doctors so when she read on one of my dermatologist creams what it treats she sent me a letter firing me as a patient instead of having the guts to ask me about it then not allowing me to explaine why i labeled it the way i did and labeling me.I dont think that it is fair that doctors that are supposed to care for their patients would treat them in such a matter then spreading it around the office, what ever happened to doctor and patient confidence and the right to be confronted by your accusers and allowed to defend yourself. To me Dr. Stubbs is a bad doctor to do this to her patients.

I have been to multiple medical offices where it is obvious that it is made evident that the doctor’s time is valued so much more than that of the patients’. That is not the case here at all! The staff is so caring and timely. Waiting time is consistently minimal. It used to be a surprise to me but I have come to expect it and appreciate it so very much.

Dr. Maria has been my PCP since I moved to Crossville 10 years ago. Everything about her practice is so friendly. I have become close with many of the staff because they have been there for as long as I have. Even better, if I choose to, I can speak with the doctor in my native language of Spanish!

Having Dr. Stubbs as my PCP is great because I can get such a large percentage of my medical needs attended to right there. Sure there have been a handful of times when she has had to recommend a specialist but those times are rare.

I am old enough to have endured my share of billing mishaps. Medical ones are especially trying. One of things I like best about Stubbs is that the billing department is in-house and I have never encountered a dispute with my insurance company or even a single error.

I’m a one-stop shopper whenever I can manage it so if I can get my lab work done under the same roof where my PCP resides, I’m all in. Even better: Dr. Stubbs is the best and the woman in the lab could write a book on how to treat patients with sensitivity.

My husband has used Dr. Stubbs in the past without issue, aside from her incredibly rude staff. Dr. Stubbs is an incredibly awkward person leaving her as a doctor without bedside manner. However, after needing to see a walk in clinic on the weekend, Dr. Stubbs decided that she could not be his doctor anymore since he went to a walk in clinic sick on a weekend. I have no idea why going to a walk in clinic makes her angry, but I know others that have had the same issue with her firing them after they went to a clinic. To summarize: RUDE staff and dont dare go to a walk in clinic no matter what

I will NEVER go to this doctor again. I have made sure my friends, family and co-workers will never go to her. I went to her for several years and all was fine until my last visit. My last visit was like a surreal and bad visit to the Twilight Zone and left me convinced this woman is a NUT JOB. At this point I wouldnt even trust her to change a bed pan. To summarize my last experience with her: I needed to see her as a follow up to a visit to a walk in clinic for a chest cold/infection and I needed medical leave paperwork filled out for my job. Her response was to berate me for using a walk in clinic as she “preferred to do everything herself.” Sorry, but if I am sick and/or in pain I am not waiting until it is convenient for her to be seen for help. Urgent care centers and walk in clinics exist for a reason she seems to fail to grasp. And without even knowing why I was there to see her yet, when she saw the leave of absence paperwork I had brought with me she blurted out “I am not getting involved with anything I did not do.” What? Really? She does not even know why I am there to see her and she decides she is not getting involved because she sees paperwork I need for my job and she has some kind of issue with my using a walk in clinic? Really? And then when I try to discuss why I am there she wont even listen to my needs and acts like I am some kind of criminal trying to pull a con job on her. She ended up leaving the exam room and refused to help me. And billed me and the insurance on top of it all. That was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a health care provider. As far as I am concerned, the woman is a QUACK and should be avoided.

I was having so much chest pain I could hardly walk. No one would help me fill out paperwork even though i couldnt use my left arm. She never checked my bloodwork for a heart attack and I was life flighted to Knoxville that night when i went on to the emergency room. I wouldnt take my dog to see her. I feel she is a quack. This experience cost me $600 ...can you imagine.

Do Not go here , this woman has no business having a medical license. Told me my blood was too thick for 6 months , when asked about testing because there is Stroke on my mothers side of family. I was Told I needed a Sleep study ?Ended up in ER with chest pressure, sent to Knoxville where they did catheter but found nothing wrong at that time. Had appt. with Stubbs the following week., was having pressure in chest and back during the appt. , she finally gets up from her computer and listened to my heart and simply sits down and says Sounds fine to me and sends me on my way. The following morning the pressure is back and I call her office and was told to leave a message. I left my message , giving All my information so it would be easy to call me back and asking what shes going to do now ????. By the afternoon I was back in the ER, her office called while I was in the ER claiming theyd been trying to track down the person who left the message Really? I said I was in the ER with a heart attack and to tell Dr. Stubbs that she is Fired for incompetence.

Absolutely horrible doctor, me and my daughter both seen her... we both have Hashimotos which is a thyroid disease. When dr. Maria Stubbs found out we had both Hashimotos her reply was,... do I have to and I dont want to....Within the 6 months that me and my daughter had seen her she had never once laid a stethoscope even on my daughter or myself... she has absolutely no bedside manners whatsoever, theres no compassion for her patients. She comes in the room sits down behind her computer and never moves from there...My daughter even personally asked her why did you even become a doctor,.... and she said you can look it up on the internet. I myself ended up with a liver disease, Dr. Maria Stubbs reply was I could send you to a liver doctor if you want one... needless to say I found my liver doctor all on my own....I would never recommend Dr. Maria Stubbs to anyone not even my ownDog !!!!
