5 stars is not enough. My husband had lasik eye surgery and the quality of care he received from Dr. Alabata and his staff was outstanding. We are forever grateful.

My dad has been a patient there for a couple years. He has been made to wait long periods of time AFTER his scheduled appointment. One day he waited 3 hours after his appointment time and finally walked out. Yesterday I called to confirm his upcoming appointments. I was told he had an appt today. He got up there and NOPE no appointment. I called back (took 8 tries before someone answered) and they said he did not have an appointment and tried to blame him for rescheduling. I said that is not the case. He told me a couple weeks ago THEY called and rescheduled his March 5th appointment to today (which was confirmed when I called yesterday). He is 82 years old and it takes a bit for him to get ready and make it to his appointments. This is completely uncalled for and very unprofessional.

Loved the work Dr. Alabata did but im extremely upset he stopped taking Tricare. Got a call saying i need to find another ophthalmologist because he no longer takes my insurance. I sorry, but you work in a military community and dont take Tricare is just not right! Went to Dr. Belville at the Emerald Coast Eye Institute and loved him, will never go back!

Jackie Harris here.He is so gentle and thoughtful for patient comfort. Good sense of humor. Professional and thorough. Easy to talk to.Staff is very nice. Easy to ask questions. Very accommodating. Susan at the front desk is always so nice. ( There was only one lady in the back that I had a bad experience with but I havent seen her anymore).Facility is very nice and clean, all staff appear clean. Most of the time they will clean equipment in front of you. Very COVID conscious.Needless to say I would highly recommend Dr Alabata and his staff.

So glad we have someone with the caliber of service and attention Dr Alabata and his staff provide. Highly professional, yet caring and compassionate enough to answer any questions or concerns you may have. And lets face it when it comes to our sight we are truly concerned.

Ive had to move around to several Opthemology clinic over the last 2 years because the Air Force hospital eye docs stopped seeing retirees and the next clinic decided to only specialize in pediatric care.I ended up at Dr Alabatas clinic and like it there. They recently relocated to a brand new building. They take my Tricare insurance. Dr Alabata is also very thorough and explains everything very well in a way that i can understand. Im pleased with his clinic and am glad he is located in Southern Crestview.Update: Within my 1st year there, went in for my follow-up. I had to buy a mask, dont mind, made me fill out a bunch of paperwork again because they switched to a new system, and after all that, then they tell me they dont take Tricare anymore, and ask how Id like to pay for the visit? They should have told me that 1st. I made sure they didnt count me as a no show and left, but I was left scrambling for a new Othemologist again. I think they do still take Tricare for Life for those over 65 that are required to enroll in Medicare.
