Last night I call the Emergency Room to see if they accept my insurance. The friendly operator says You should talk to a nurse first. We dont want you coming in if we dont accept your insurance. Agreed. She transfers me to the nurses station. I ask if they accept my insurance. Answer I dont know. And I have no way of knowing. Call your insurance company. I ask Isnt there a list of insurance companies that you accept? Answer No. Call your insurance company. Spoiler alert... St. Elizabeth has a full list of insurance companies they accept, on their website. So here it is... and maybe the nurse manager could 1)have this list available when people call and 2)not be in a rush to get folks off the phone.

First time visit to this new hospital. Location and grounds are wonderful. The staff was especially helpful and courteous going the extra steps to ensure a successful visit. Screening was in place for all entrances. Highly recommended. Highly visible from highway. Plenty of parking with sufficient handicap accessible locations near entrances. Local TANK route through campus. Non Smoking campus, of course. Great addition to metropolitan area.

I love going here to see my doctor! She is amazing. I do not like taking my kids here though. They are 2 and 9 months old. Sometimes the doctors and nurses seem clueless on how to care for my children. I had a few nurses and a doctor state that they dont get children often so its new to them. I dont like how they hold my kids for their shots. My daughter is terrified of coming in because of the shots/nurses. My daughter is also developmentally delayed and autistic and the doctors do not know how to handle her. So they never fully examine her. This office is more for adults if you ask me. Not the whole family. Doctor Vormbrocks and Dr. Summe office in Edgewood is amazing with children.

My doctors visit here rendered no information on the status of my health. The staff were generally easy to deal with accept the lab clerk that mistook me for another patient. I had to verify they were processing the labs that were ordered and once they were done, the doctor never called me to discuss the results. They sent me lab result numbers on a private login through the hospital I wouldnt otherwise have access to or knowledge of, unless I called in to inquire to the billing dept. as if Im a professional at evaluating the results, I cant recommend visiting this hospital for a routine checkup.

After seeing the doctor, I was waiting to get my paperwork and go on home to get rest. After about 45 minutes I rang for the nurse just to get an idea of how much longer it would be. Not being rude or rushing whatsoever. Then my nurse came in complaining to me, telling me I wasnt his only patient and that he has 4 other people to worry about.. making me feel really bad about asking how long it would be. He then hastily got my paperwork and took my IV out acting like I wasa burden. I didnt get his name, but because of him, I am going to go to another location from now on, which is a shame because this ER is only 5 minutes from my home.

On vacation from out of town and experienced chest pains and was admitted from the Emergency Room. The overall experience (while it sucked to be there) was fantastic. The stay was great, care was genuine and friendly, staff was accommodating, rooms were very comfortable and clean. While the reason for the visit was unfortunate, the stay really was a great experience.Being married with 3 children weve seen our fair share of Emergency Rooms and hospital stays, and this facility by far surpassed each one weve ever seen.

On July 23rd, 2019, My sister Loretta was taken into emergency room by ambulance due to choking and kidney failure. She had to have CPR before getting there. She had outstanding care by staff, and especially Samuel Conner who was the primary nurse. He could not have been more attentive to her and kept the entire family informed of What they were doing for her. St. Elizabeth is fortunate to have Samuel on staff.

The place wasnt that crowded and it took forever. I know test take time but well talk in 4 hours for blood work. The nurses and the doctor I saw were all very nice wonderful people. I just wish hospitals would learn two things. Not to price gouge and deal with a sense of immediacy. Worse than the government.

These people took priority over my health with my Diabetes when I was pregnant. After I had my miscarriage it seems theyve dismissed the fact that I still am a type 1 diabetic and still need my insulin. Two months ago I had my miscarriage, and was told that I could still go through them for my insulin atleast until my refills are used up through 9/2020. Yet here I am, a month and a half STILL waiting for a response or something.. anything from a Dr about my insulin. My sugar has been 270+ today being 467 for the passed month and a half. Ive been told by my pharmacy an RX was put in but my doctor needs to contact my insurance, and my pharmacy has not been able to get a hold of my doctor. Im not sure what it is within the building but I cannot go without my insulin and I refuse to be put aside because I can not afford $300 for my insulin that I need to LIVE. it appears that due to my only selection in insurance, wellcare, that I am not top priority any longer. Its disappointing really. No one should have to jump through hoops to receive the care or medical supplies they need to survive. Especially something nobody asked to have.

I live two minutes from St. Elizabeth’s In Edgewood yet travel to the Covington location. The staff is great and the facility is small. Very little waiting time to register or to obtain routine services such as blood work. I have always had positive experiences here. Highly recommend.

I had a routine blood drawn at St.Elizabeth in Covington the day before my Doctors visit. The blood work showed several things were very off such, kidney function was at kidney failure levels and my liver was functioning very high. My medical provider had been following my blood work very close for the last two years. She knew these results were more than likely not mine do to the severe level of inconsistency from what the results had been in the last two years. My Doctor ordered a new blood test that same day. The next day I received the results, everything was normal in less than 24 hours. It is obvious my blood was mishandled. Results would not turn around that quietly without doing anything. This is of tremendous concern because if my provider did not know me so well I could have been prescribed meds I did not need that could have hurt me and ordered test I did not need which could have been very costly to myself as well as my insurance provider. I will never get my blood drawn again at St Elizabeth in Covington again.

Was on vacation in Daytona and I wasnt already feeling well. Flew home and tried to get some sleep before going to work the next day but my wife talked me into going to the ER around 2 a.m. feeling nauseous and dry heaving saliva and a little blood. Was the only one in the waiting room so I got in rather quick. They took blood work, blood pressure and did a EKG and came up with the diagnosis (acid re flux) after the fact I told them I was taking OTC omeprazole for it every other day like I have been for years and according to them I should take it everyday. Wrote me a script for it and some anti nausea pills and a sick back just in case and sent me on my marry way, after about an hour and half of being there. Hour later went back to the ER to The Christ Hospital this time after throwing up a sick bag full of blood, they did my blood work and blood pressure and told me I had liver cirrhosis with esophageal varices which have probably ruptured and I was pretty much bleeding out into my stomach. All this just from the same tests St. Elizabeth did not 2 hours before hand. So after a EGD for banding up the 5 ruptured spots, I dont know how many bags of plasma to make up for the blood loss I had, week in ICU and coming close to death, lets just say it would take a miracle for me to ever trust St. Elizabeth with any kind of medical problems again.

This St Elizabeth is just like all others. Extremely unhelpful staff, lack of communication, etc. Dont get me wrong, my doctor at this location is pretty solid. My problem is with the office staff. They have no idea whats going on nor do they care. A short explanation of my current issue with them would have done fine. Instead it was drawn out over a 5 day period.. Just like every other time..

My husband works towing cars for AAA and runs a flatbed. He had a car come loose and run him over. He was transported by his supervisor to this locations emergency room. It was April 26, 2018, between 1200 and 1230 pm. The woman at the desk to check people in with blonde hair made him stand up and wait to be checked in. He needed to be seated because his leg had been run over by a vehicle. He also had a big knot on his head from being pinned between the car and a curb. She was not caring or empathetic for his condition and ignored his requests to sit down and not stand. When we got to the back, despite my husband telling them he had gotten knocked out and could not remember the accident at all, they did not check him for a concussion. They refused to take his workers comp information. And also just did a couple of xrays, gave him a script for pain pills, and sent him on his way. It was disgusting the way he was treated. I will not visit this hospital again!!!!

Rudest staff in the ED department: My father passed away from a heart attack at this hospital and they gave me a call early in the morning when my phone was off. When I finally called back I was transferred three times because no one wanted to tell me the news. Finally a nurse decided to speak to me and she simply said your father is dead. And I was crying of course but through my tears asked what to do next and all she said was in this snarky voice, maam I cant understand you. I WAS SOBBING BECAUSE YOU TOLD ME 30 SECONDS AGO MY FATHER DIED!!! The lack of compassion with this nurse ensured I will never go to a St. Elizabeth facility in my life.
