This review is for the birth center! What an AMAZING PLACE to give birth! From the cleanliness, beautiful rooms, to their amazing staff of doctors and nurses! I cant say enough good things about this place. I had the most beautiful experience here and I am so happy that I got to deliver my baby at this wonderful hospital! Thamk you so much to the nurses and all the staff that helped deliver my baby I am so grateful for everyone of you! I cpuld tell you love what you do and you do it with such professionalism and joy! I would recommend this place to anyone having a baby! I was suppose to deliver at Auburn Medical but got moved last minute ans I couldnt be happier with that decision! All I can say is thank you Drs and nurses from covington birth center!

Lab check in is the worst. You end up waiting for an hour, huge wait when the last patient goes for blood draw and next one gets called. The nurses often skip numbers and dont know what numbers were called last. 1 hour waiting here definitely increases your risk of covid. They need to do something asap. The lady waiting at the hospital entrance is so rude. When you come in for a check in to birth center, she doesnt understand what a birth center or a maternity ward is even when you say you want to go to the second floor. She treats you like you why do you even come here. The folks who do the hearing test constantly shuffle between auburn and covington. The dont show up on time for appointment and constantly keep pushing the dates around, and it is such a pin for families with new born to keep coming back to birth center

The Indigo Covington MultiCare is fantastic and the ER in this building is also very kind, though the front entrance to check in is not quite as accommodating. The lack of understanding for a person with anxiety/mental health disorders is seen and prevalent and is completely disregarded. 2/5.

Watch out for extra charges!!! Everyone I encountered was polite and kind. However, I received an additional large bill from a third party company that read my test results. I had no idea this bill was coming or that it would be that expensive. If I had known before hand how expensive my visit was going to be, I would have gone somewhere else.

My mom was admitted to this hospital after a recent ‘attempt’ that she made, and they released her after 5 hours of being there. Even she stated she wanted more help, but the ED was so sure that she was fine and safe to go home. They called me at 2:30am to come pick my mom up stating that we couldn’t even wait until the morning. One of the worst experiences i’ve had with a hospital before.

Every time I deal with this ED dept it’s a nightmare. I have a now adult child with special needs who I have legal guardianship over. Tonight we went for a scheduled MRI and had to check in through ED and they tried to insist that I wasn’t allowed in with him as he’s over 18. My child legally cannot even sign consent for the MRI with contrast that they gave a pamphlet on concerning the risks and the test requires signed consent in the room and has clear safety concerns, which their own policy on their own website allows for. I had to advocate hard and when the tech had no issue with me going back he got a phone call ripping into him with a comment about how they’ll make sure I can’t do this again (I was told they were getting a supervisor and the tech came before this person got there and brought us back). Before they’ve missed a skull fracture on my kid and so much more though too. Absolutely awful front personnel when dealing with someone on the spectrum and don’t listen or understand any legalities, which is weird since it’s ya know... medical guardianship, and in the back is a total hit and miss. The front staff though... wow do they need some retraining!! Legal guardianship people. It’s even in your computer with a flag on his chart for it!

After going to Auburn medical center to find out they had someone waiting since 4 PM and it was 11 PM when I had arrived I refuse treatment and went home for a while. As my symptoms got worse I knew I needed to go to another hospital and I found Covington hospital. When I tell you the wait time the staff everything about this facility was amazing. The level of care I received and attention to detail was amazing. And I really appreciate all the staff working so hard during this pandemic to make sure that I’m OK they were very friendly very pleasurable I would definitely tell anyone go here if you need to go see an ER doctor.

✅ Access✅All wheelchair and stroller access available. A variety of wheelchairs are available as you come in. ER is all one floor and lips/curbs to go over.♿ Parking♿Just a few, maybe four, disabled spots upfront, two of which still require a small walk. You can pull to the front door to drop off and pick up but dont stay there long.🏳️‍🌈 LGBT+ friendly/safe space 🏳️‍🌈🚪Doors/handles🚪A lot of doors are automatic or have push buttons to open but there are many they have handles as well. You should be escorted most places so the person can help but be aware if you have limited mobility or weak hands there are handles on some doors that are not push/pull.🛌Rooms🛌Generally clean. I have been to this ER a lot for myself and family, most the time they are clean but I few times I have spotted remaining trash from the last appointment.📥 Check in/out 📤Why they have security sitting at the wheelchair accessible part of the check in counter I dont know. It just doesnt make sense for accessibility. the front desk people are kind and quick. You will be triaged into one of the 3 rooms upfront and then depending on seriousness of issue and room availability you might go straight back to one or sent back out front to wait.💡Lighting💡Upfront it is low lit but ceiling to floor windows. Bring sunglasses if sensitive. Room lights can be lowered. Hallways and other rooms all overhead bright lights.🗣Noise🗣things are tended to pretty quickly that cause loud noises in the back rooms. you will hear a lot of machine noises. if you are parent bringing a kid in (unless they are in pain) try to be considerate of others and keep the lil goblins quiet.🚻Bathrooms🚻ADA compliant for the most part but some have handles that might be difficult for limited mobility. Hats to collect pee are available just ask for one at the desk/from a nurse. they can also fill the cups from the hats if you ask them cause you have motor skill issues.👃🏿Smells👃It is a place full of people so expect perfume, tide, hand sanitizer, medical smells and others.🪑Seating🪑I do wish they had more armless seats in the lobby for comfort but they do have many larger seats. In the rooms they have benches that make your butt go numb after a while. You will be there for hours so... plan accordingly.👥Staff👥Ok, this is why 3 stars. They either have the most amazing, thoughtful with great bedside manner doctors & nurses or ones from hell that want to take everything out on you and accuse you of faking. I had a nurse trigger severe health anxiety there that I am dealing with still 2 years later cause she was in my face yelling at me. BUT I have also had so much help and love from other staff, especially when I was very scared. You get a 50/50 chance.📲Contacting📲Calls are answered almost immediately. Be aware that the doctor you saw the night before might not be on the next day if calling back. they will NOT give you medical advice over the phone.🥤Food/Drinks🍿There is a snack & drink machine to the left of check in, down the hallway. cash only. Sometimes you will get served a meal if you are there for a super long time but only if surgery is not on the treatment plan.💲Payments/Rewards 💲generally you are sent a bill and dont have to pay upfront. Just be aware if you dont have insurance that prices at an ER are insanely marked up. Tums, for instance, might be a dollar OTC but $30 if prescribed and given in the ER. ALWAYS ASK FOR AN ITEMIZED BILL! it cuts the cost if hospitals are forced to show each thing in a list.ℹWebsiteℹMeh, you cant do much on the website but the MyChart smart app has a lot more features.🚨Safety🚨Lots of cameras everywhere. Security roams the parking lot and entrances/exits. emergency call remotes in each room.MISC- holiday times the wait goes up.

We LOVE our pediatrician, Dr. Joey. I had a pretty good childbirth experience at Covington as well, which is how we learned of Dr. Joey. We do however have serious problems with the call center and trying to schedule appointments. I have had to WALK IN to make all of our pediatric appointments because otherwise I am put on hold for twenty or thirty minutes only to have the call dropped. I tried to stay with Covington for my primary care, but couldnt get through at all. I finally asked for a recommendation from a friend and am now receiving primary care at UW. (They answered immediately and scheduled me an appointment within six or seven minutes).

They chose to not listen to my doctor took a bunch of blood for what ever then sent me a bill for a grand instead of billing the v.a. As my doctor told them to. When I called to argue the charges I was surprised to find out the never even tried to bill the V.A. Was admitted to this hospital and it was honestly the most awful experience of my life. They discharged me prematurely, even though I was still in a great deal of pain and barely able to walk. I shared my experience with co-workers the next day who then insisted that I go to a different medical facility where they know several of the medical staff. I agreed and went with them and lo and behold, Covington Multicare missed a bone fracture which was what was causing all of my pain. Also wanted to note that the ER staff at Multicare Covington were great to me, it was only after I was admitted and transferred to the 4th floor that I came across the most callous, cold, insensitive and uncaring medical staff I have ever encountered. All 3 of the PA’s I saw were awful and acted as though I was exaggerating my pain. And the nursing staff were equally unkind. I’m glad I followed the advice of my co-workers and am now getting the care I should have received all along.

This review is for the birth center. We cant say enough good things about our experience here. ALL the nurses and doctors we encountered were amazing and super friendly. I had a c-section and they did everything to make sure I was comfortable and supported. The birth center is self-contained, so you stay in your one room through the whole process - labor and delivery/pre-surgery, recovery, and post-partum. The surgical room is just down the hall in the same unit. Pediatricians from Covington Multicare clinic come see your baby. Very professional; very personal. They dont get the high volume of patients yet since the hospital is only a couple years old and they only do low-risk births, so they are very available and eager to help. There were only 3 mamas there when we were. Cant recommend enough!!

My review is for the family birth centerWe were hoping for a “natural” home-style birth but transferred our care here after being in labor for 40 hours. The staff were amazing, the midwives, Doctors and nurses were so warm and kind even though they had never met me before. The facility is immaculate and it has everything I wished I had had but didn’t during my labor. I can’t say enough about how amazing this birth center is. I was turned off from hospitals after a bad experience with my first baby, but this team has changed my mind. I have and will recommend it to all of my friends who are having children. Also the midwife NP Tina does woman’s health in addition to baby care and she is amazing, it’s so hard to find a good woman’s health care provider but she is the best I have ever been to. I truly can’t speak enough good about the l&d team. I hope they stay this wonderful even as the hospital grows and becomes busy, they are the best!! I highly recommend!

I ordered a lunch, normal size and they want $17.00 dollars for what I can get for $10 at any restaurant and actually have a server and not get it myself. This hospital is taking advantage of its poor, helpless, elderly patients that already have huge hospital bills. Shame on them. Bring your own food and you will leave a little less broke and happier. I gave the food back and refused to pay. Of course the cashier refused to take any responsibility for the job she chose to take and she blamed someone else for it.Oh and trying to get an appointment here, oh my God! The worst experience ever! And they refuse to send you any reminders, no email, no phone call, not even a letter in the mail. Even the VA hospital are much better than these guys in both these areas. Took my elderly 91 year old mother to the Emergency room at the Covington MultiCare Medical Center where they diagnosed her with a broken back. A week later she was in an excruciating amount of pain so I took her back there. There were several people in the waiting room when we arrived and more arrived after us. My mother waited in a wheel chair for two hours before she was even checked in by a triage nurse, although several people who arrived after us with less severe conditions such as runny noses were triaged before her. I stated that she was in an incredible amount of pain. They took her temperature and blood pressure, which was quite high, but never bothered to ask if she was having any difficulty breathing or if she had any chest pain. We were sent back to the waiting room and told that they didn’t know how long of a wait because they were “real busy”. Another hour or more went by as we watched people who arrived after us with obvious less critical conditions being called back and given a room while my mother who had been sitting for hours in pain in a wheel chair with a broken back was ignored. I approached the front desk to again impress upon them that she was in extreme pain and needed to be seen and mentioned that several people who came after us had already been called in. I was told they had certain procedures that they had to follow about who is seen first and it wasn’t in the order they arrived. We waited another hour or so. By this time my mother was in very bad shape. Her face and skin had become flush and she was trembling uncontrollably. I went to the desk again and told them she needed to be seen immediately. I was told they might have a room for her in the next 20-30 minutes provided that “no one came in with a more critical condition”. I returned to the desk a few minutes later and told them that if they weren’t going to see her immediately, I would need to have her taken by ambulance to another hospital since her condition had deteriorated to the point that I could not transport her in my car. I was told “you’re welcome to take her to any facility you want”. I was in shock at their unprofessional, callous, insensitive, uncaring response. I asked if they could at least call an ambulance so we could take her somewhere else. They refused and told me I would have to call 911. Unbelievable!! I was going to have to call 911 to have an ambulance pick up my mother from the emergency room of one hospital to take her to another hospital because they refused to see her!! Only after the people at the front desk heard me speaking to 911 did someone come out to address the situation. I was told that they were “now preparing a room” and “it would be ready soon”. The medics arrived very quickly and immediately attended to my mother. When they called for an ambulance, a nurse angrily approached me and asked “so, are you refusing a room??” I told her that I had been begging them to see my mother for 5 hours and now she had the audacity to ask me if I was refusing a room, which she did for the sole purpose of reporting that I was the one refusing service. The irony of having medics and an ambulance at an emergency room of a hospital to take my 91 year old mother to a different hospital is beyond belief. She was taken to Swedish where she was seen immediately. I’m now waiting to see if my mother is going to be billed for them checking her blood pressure and temperature during her 5 hour wait.

I was then bounced around to 4 different therapists who I needed to retell my story to and they all had something different to say. They were unwilling to work with my demanding schedule and help me. I left and went in to get imaging done. Turns out I have a torn labrum in my left shoulder. 6 months later I am finally getting surgery. They let me grind for 3 months on a torn labrum saying ignore the pain, your building muscle back up when muscle was not the problem. I will be out for 3 months and unable to work during that time. The damage could have been limited, the time shorter, but their oversight screwed me. I am fumbling with medical bills and other financial obligations. On Monday my son, husband and i went to the emergency room for a concern to my pregnancy. I was 19.5 weeks pregnant. Women do not get moved to OB for emergencies till 20 weeks. At first I was annoyed that I was so close to 20 weeks and not having OB step in. However they have a “cut off” point for a reason. I checked in right away and had to wait about 40 minutes before I got a room which I feel wasn’t terrible given the time of day and how many people kept coming in.Once I got a room tests started immediately. We were in the room for a total of 4.5 hours. Doctors and nurses were professional and personable! Offered blankets and asked if my family needed anything. It was a comfortable wait as it could be in the emergency department. They came back with unfortunate news and I had to be admitted. Once I was informed of this I was moved to a room in 15 minutes! 15 minutes!! They were there waiting for me in the room, knew my name, room clean and jumped right into checking me in. I was there over night and I was treated with respect, urgency in every situation. The oncall OB doctor I had to wait to see for several hours when I was told she was on the way, but again I can’t complain she was the only OB doctor onsite and when she did arrive she did not rush me and gave me her full attention. I thought the ER visit was good, this was even better and they made me so comfortable. Not a single complaint!Every single person I worked with from checking in to the emergency room to checking out in my hospital room they were so kind, professional, personable and not once rushed me. I’m delivering my baby here and my whole family will have primary care needs fulfilled here. What a wonderful, new, clean hospital. The pharmacy refused to fill my sons prescription and then lied to me about filling it and blamed me because their refilling system is faulty. The lab on the other hand is even worse. My son had a PKU done when he was tiny and the lady did it wrong and ended up bruising my sons foot badly. Then his blood draw for his iron levels went badly when it took 3 phlebotomists to figure out how to do the blood draw. Two of them left the band on his arm too long their words, and turned his arm beat red. They did this twice. Then the third lady finally poked him to perform the blood draw but missed the vein and was moving the needle around in his little arm. 45 minutes later they tell me they cant preform his blood draw after all. And they send me home, when I got home to take my sons bandage off his arm he was so nervous and scared he wouldnt let me touch his arm. My wife and I visited the OB/GYN Clinic of the Multicare Covington Medical Center facility ER area and were checked in very quickly, probably some time before 2:00 pm that day. Most of the rest of our stay progressed extremely slow in terms of medical care provided. This is understandable, especially when a hospital is understaffed, resources are limited and the hospital personnel need time to form an assessment about their patient’s condition, which all seemed like they might have been the case. We were satisfied with the quality of care when we received it but, needless to say, were not very happy to only finally be able to leave the hospital until after 10 pm.We had many other follow-up appointments (about 6 and all related to the same thing) at other Multicare facilities and, during our experiences with Multicare medical facilities and its services (in our experience), there was a huge lack of transparency. This lack of transparency was displayed when whichever nurse or doctor that we were seeing or that I was talking with did not fully communicate with us or the nurse or doctor that we would be seeing next what exactly needed to take place at our next visit. Lack of transparency was also displayed when it was not communicated entirely what services my wife would be receiving then or to come, much less an option provided to either accept or reject any or all said services. I feel deeply that this lack of transparency during our dealings with Multicare and its members surreptitiously pushed us into the ER in Covington then charged us (or, rather, our insurance - who passed on the cost to us) for an ER visit as well as an outpatient visit at the OB/GYN that day when we never even sat down with anyone. We were “nickel and dimed” again and again during our follow-up visits. Granted we had a higher deductible plan but during the current coverage that I have elected with Boeing, I will never go to a Multicare facility again and probably forever after that. Also, after reaching out to their Patient Advocacy Department and waiting almost a couple months to hear back from them, they refused to reduce any of the medical charges.

More than a 4 hour wait time for the ER. The entire wait we had the pleasure of listening to the offensive and obscene comments by the gentleman, Rob, running the reception desk. Extremely loud and rude comments about questionable topics between he and one of the security guards, as well as making fun of patients for their symptoms when they would leave from the lobby back to their rooms. Will never go back to this hospital again. Save yourselves the time and effort and just go to Valley Med or elsewhere.

Go to Urgent Care at your own risk. They now push you from urgent care into their Emergency Room for non-emergencies. They then charge you for visits to both the Urgent Care and Emergency Room. Other options in the area. Go there instead.

After giving Emergency a bad rating, I got a call from scheduling, that my doctors appointment was overbooked and this was 2 days before the appointment. The earliest they could reschedule with another doctor was in 2 weeks and with Chang the earliest was 2 1/2 months. Seems obvious that someone told the appt. desk to get rid of me as a patient. Now that I see all the bad ratings, Im cancelling the above appt..

Started at Urgent Care at about 9 am with my daughter. Waited 2 hours to be told they couldnt help her and we needed to go next door to the ER. Took over 3 hours to see not a doctor but a Physicians Assistant. Asked her to pee in a cup and then left it on the counter. After an hour wait I asked WTF and they said they were waiting on the results. I told them its STILL ON THE COUNTER. Then they wanted an ultrasound. Ultrasound came 1.5 hours later and girl was TEXTING HER FRIEND during the ultrasound. It gets better... Ordered a Catscan.. Waited 1.5 hours and still no Catscan. I went to again ask WTF and they said they were still waiting on the result of the Catscan. I let them know as gently as I could that we HAVE NOT HAD A CATSCAN YET!... An almost 11 hour day to be told she has a virus. AND WE ARE STILL HERE! 1 hour after being told we would be going home

Another time took my sick 2 year old in and it cost 2500 for ibuprofen and a popsicle. 3rd time got something stuck in my eye. They damaged it doing something they shouldnt have. Run

My son went there complaining of stomach pain, he told to go next door to the ER. So that means he paid 2 co-pays. Then he gets a bill later for physician services because the physicians are not in network for our insurance. They after he pays the bill, they send him another request for payment. If I could give negative stars I would go with infinity and beyond. There are other options, like Kaiser Permanente, UW Physicians, City MD, AFC Urgent Care or Valley Medical in the Southend. If you want to substandard care at a premium price by all means go to Multicare Covington Urgent Care, otherwise, for your financial and physical health and safety pick another option other than Multicare Covington Urgent Care.

Used to recommend Multicare urgent care, not anymore! My daughter came in with excruciating pain, they took about hour just to triage her and when they finally took her to a room to get checked we sat there for another hour and no one came to even see how she was doing!! She finally started to feel better we ended up walking out of the clinic and they didnt even notice! I gave her file to the receptionist and let her know we were leaving. Terrible care! The nurse that triage her looked tired and he seemed like the only one to be doing something. Im glad my daughter didnt have anything more serious, but definitely going to a different urgent care in the future! So disappointed!

The emergency room at Covington Multicare is useless and crooked. In April I took my 9 year old there at the urging of Indigo Urgent Care telling me that she needed an x-ray. Something was very wrong with her belly. It was distended, taught, and painful to the lightest touch. The ER doctor on staff had us there 3 hours and in that time only took a urine test that came up clean. No x-ray was taken. I was sent home with a child in pain and told We dont know what is wrong. Bring her back if it doesnt stop. I was treated like an overreacting, hypochondriac mother. For that I was sent a $700 out of pocket bill. Within the next few days we ended up at childrens hospital for 2 days and incurred expenses that could have been avoided had a doctor at covington ER simply taken an x-ray as recommended by urgent care.

This clinic is awful. Ive been going here since I was a very small child and it seems to be getting increasingly worse, but it was never great or anything in the first place. The wait times are ridiculous. For an obgyn appointment (simple check up) Ive had to wait over an hour multiple times. Recently I was prescribed two medications that are supposed to be taken together, except they didnt full out the prescription for one of the two until a week later. My spine is badly curved backwards (Lordosis, similar but different than scoliosis) and I went to see my PCP here about the severe levels of pain Im in every day and basically had to demand an x ray, I wanted to be able to see exactly what was wrong with me. My PCP had me bend forward to check my spine for scoliosis, and then asked me, does the acne on your back bother you? (Mind you, it isnt horribly noticeable or anything) and I said yes but thats not what Im here about. She told me she could prescribe me a topical cream for my acne. Soooo.. What about my spine though? She said she didnt see too much scoliosis and I re explained that isnt the issue, I have lordosis, and showed her how when I try to stand straight up it almost looks like Im leaning backwards because of the extreme curve in my back. For the pain, I got ibuprofen, which does virtually nothing. I went and got my xray, which I never actually got to see--there or on mychart, all I got was a phone call about a week later that said everything looks normal. That cost me a few thousand dollars out of pocket, and insurance covered most of it. I got xrays at a chiropractor right after that, and its easy to see, even as someone who isnt a medical professional, that my spine isnt normal. On another note, theres a woman who does vaccines here who does an incredibly quick and painless job, I like her.I highly recommend going elsewhere, unless you like to wait for prolonged periods to have your health issues half-assedly dealt with and then be overcharged for it in the end.

I dont get why theres so many negative comments in here and really dont care my experience was GREAT!! Im down here working and hurt my back and continued to work for a couple wks with waist and leg numbness, the pain was horrific!! So I drive to this ER after church on Sunday morn. I was in a room within 5 mins with great care from all the staff, very clean and my dr he was not brushing me off because when he said they were going to admit me I tried to get out of it and go back to my camper because I travel with my dog and didnt have anyone to let him out or feed him so the Dr and his staff offered to do it for me!! I called my mom which was 5 hrs away and she came the next day to watch dog for me,That got my attention and so I was off to St Elizabeth hospital within 1hr because I had Cauda Equina symptoms which is very dangerous.I had never heard of it. OUTSTANDING CARE..

I went to the Emergency room here September 14th at the time my gaulbladder was acting up and it took almost 2 hours to get an IV with pain medication. This is after the fact my doctor had said it would only take around 5 minutes and if I needed anything to push the nurse button on the tv remote they hand you. Well I kept pushing it and after like 1 hr 50 go by I had to leave my room in my gown and ask the nurses at the desk for pain medication. They told me to return to my room and use my remote until someone came in 😡 like I was bothering them

Not very happy so far with these guys. I called the day before to set up an appointment. The earliest they had for a new patient was September 2nd (which is to be expected). The lady said she would try to get me in sooner if there was any cancelations, and would call to let me know. I missed two calls this morning (had a lot going on this morning) about a 1:30pm appointment. I called right back after the second call (9am) to confirm the 1:30pm appointment for today. Well, about an hour later I missed another call that said since I didnt call back to confirm for 1:30pm that appointment has been canceled and now I have to wait until Sept 2nd. Of course I will call back to see if there are any cancellations but SERIOUSLY?! I called right back, explained EVERYTHING to the woman who answered and she said that my appointment was confirmed for 1:30pm at 9am when I called right back. Where is the communication? Call notes? Anything? Seriously?! I can appericiate the fact that this person has been working to get me in but its all in vain if a better system isnt put in place. Thats so unfortunate. I hope to update my review after I have been seen and hope to make it 5 stars but right now Im beyond frustrated. I moved things around, found transportation and everything for this 1:30pm appointment that I DID CALL BACK to confirm, now we wait until another day..... it may sound silly but I have been sick and need a primary care doctor since we moved here a couple months ago. My first run in concerned insurance with these guys and whoever I talked to was so RUDE! I still decided to make an appointment a few days later though, but man I hope things go better once I am actually there, sheesh!
