Very disappointed in Dr. Kuttapan and Piedmont Healthcare. He has been my PCP for at least 15 years and I have been coming there every 6 months for WellCare visits and medication refills. On my last visit we had a conversation about drinking more fluids. Apparently, according to Piedmont, that was outside of the usual “WellCare” visit. Dr. Kuttapan charged an additional 15 min consultation fee resulting in my having to pay additional fees out of pocket. I strongly feel this should be part of a wellness visit. I don’t know if this is greedy “Big business healthcare” that requires the physicians to charge like this or if this is Dr. K decision, either way I am highly dissatisfied and will be looking for a new family practice OUTSIDE of the Piedmont healthcare system.
