So helpful during this pandemic. I was injured and needed immediate x ray to determine if hospital was warranted. They gave me appointment and x ray. Immediately made arrangements for admission to hospital and scheduled surgery to repair fractures to both ends of femoral neck. I was able to avoid the dreaded waiting in ER and reduce risk of exposure to COVID-19.Thanks Urie, and staff at covington location.Surgeon is top notch and good bedside manner even as in demand and booked as he is.

The online check-in was convenient. The facility is decent. After my visit I dont feel like my issue will be resolved in the near future. However, I do plan to update this review after treatment. I was informed this location doesnt offer pain prescriptions unless you have a fracture or post surgery.

Great location! After injuring my knee, this office was able to accommodate for a last minute appointment to check it out! The staff was friendly and helpful, and so were the doctors! My appointment was on time. All personnel were professional, patient and helpful. I appreciate the service received and intend to continue treatment with. AOC Covington. I do have some administrative suggestions, Difficult to reach scheduling by phone.. First.call I held for thirty minutes only to be cut off unanswered. Second try i held twelve minutes and gave up. Perhaps call center is understaffed. After appointment scheduled I received a request to fill out forms before arrival. The first form was intended for employees only. Shows lack of attention to detail in web development. After completing all seven forms I received a request to fill out forms again with my appointment confirmation. All forms had been completed and submitted. Again, an unnecessary administrative oversight.

I have used Athens Orthopedics for several different issues over the past 6 years and they have always done a phenomenal job. J. Van Der Heijd is an exceptional help. Love the Covington, GA location. I will always use them.

My visit was very very well organized. Everyone wore mask an kept a safe distance as you could in a doctor office. They were very helpful in explaining how bad the break in my arm. The doctor was very very informative about me needing surgery to put back together my arm.

My visit started with Ms. Rena Taylor. Her winning smile and personality started my day off right. Not to mention, she resolved a payment issue, before it became a problem for me.Billy, the Radiology Tech is a local home grown individual with a personality to match. We talked our Armed Services veteran connection, family and education. Before I knew it, the X-rays were doneThere is a nurse at the office also. While I cannot remember her name, I can remember the excellent service she provided. She checked us into the treatment area, and made sure we ( my wife and I ) were comfortable. This is extraordinary because there was a least 2 patients behind me, and 2 before me. She was the only nurse I saw in the office. We never felt rushed or under served. Her attitude reflected the office atmosphere of professionalism and courtesy.Do not let the youthful picture of Dr. Juri Van Der Heijden fool you. He has many years of experience in his chosen practice. His knowledge and expertise is evident when you meet him personally. I suffer from White Coat Syndrome. However, with Dr. Van Der Heijden all my fears were laid to rest by his courteous, cheerful, and plain speaking manners. I have had this knee problem for a little while and was worried about surgery and steroid shots. Dr. Van Der Heijden understood those worries and immediately explained in plain laymans language and alternative treatment. This treatment could help my condition and defer surgery for the moment. Thank you Dr. Van Der Heijden. Im sure at the end of this treatment all will be as you explained. Ive never been keen on a doctors visit. But, I can wait for my follow-up to witness the healing progression.

I requested an appointment (as a current patient of the practice) with a doctor instead of PA to follow up on some new test results. Was told the practitioner might not take my case but would review info. Seemed odd since already a patient. It’s been almost a month: no follow up, no appointment.

I went next door to this office after being referred over by my regular pain clinic doctor and I was thinking I was just going to set up the referral appointment but they did everything right then and took me right in...Never had that happen before.. Usually you wait at dr offices but I didn’t here.I have seen this doctor many years before for a similar problem and he told me what to do and the inflammation cleared up in my knee inside of a week .Great place

Better have good insurance before going here. It seems to affect the quality of service you will receive. We paid $500 cash for a 5 minute physicians assistant visit, not even a doctor to see.They proceeded by cutting off the emergency room cast and briefly explained to us that the E.R. X-rays that showed broken bones and misaligned toes was nothing major and it would heal in time. Also if it hurt, dont walk on it. We left with no wrap, not recast, no plan of action other than an appointment for 3 weeks away.The original story they feed you upon first contact concerning a cash-pay arrangement is that you get the unused portion of cash returned upon release. With a second appointment being deemed necessary by them, Im pretty sure that the release will be good to go after completing the next appointment when the second half of the $500 will be used up after another 10 minute useless discussion with a physicians assistant and not a doctor.Let me take this moment to recommend Dr. Roman at Foot & Ankle Specialist. Also located in Covington.

Great office and staff! The doctor took the time to really explain everything with my 13 year old and answered each and every question he had. Even with patience as my son wrote notes! Didnt try to push any costly procedures or appliances. Just gave ideas for stretching and such. A great overall experience!

I consistently receive great care every time I come here. I have been dealing with knee issues for a long time. They take time to listen to me, answer my questions, give great advice and have helped me live relatively pain-free.

I was scheduled for 8:00 am and asked to arrive by 7:30 am. The doors opened at 8:10 am, completed paperwork and escorted to exam room by 8:50 am. The sign in paperwork read 8:30 am appointment.Dr. Rosenberg was excellent when I saw him. I am still awaiting approval from insurance for MRI after more than a week.

Athens Orthopedics, Covington office has always been very pleasant. From the waiting room, to the girls behind the counter, to the nurse, to the Doctors themselves, they have always taken great care to listen to problems, and answer your questions without rushing you like you are just a number. I visited Yuri for a trigger-point injection in my neck. I never felt him put the needle in! He hit just the right spot, and the Pain was gone immediately¡

Dr Mason Florence and staff are awesome. His work and bedside manner is flawless. The staff is first class. I highly recommend him and the staff!

My son broke his arm playing soccer and just ended his time with Athens Ortho and Dr. Rosenberg in Covington. He said, “Man, I’m gonna miss that guy!” When we left his last appointment yesterday! Every time we left an appointment he said, Dr. Rosenberg is such a nice guy. Great experience!

I fell and broke my arm. Dr. Spivey has taken great care of me. Everyone in the office is very professional. The ladies in the front office now my name and are very pleasant every time i go.

I called on Monday, had an appointment on Tuesday. Waited approx. 15-20 min. In waiting room and was taken care of. X-ray on site, saw Dr. Juri and was out within an hour. This is the 2nd time I have used the Covington facility and about the 9th or 10th time using Athens Orthopedic. ALWAYS treated friendly and was seen quickly. The best medical group I have ever dealt with.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Spivey and P.A. Yuri. They have done a great job fixing all problems. However, after joining AOC getting to speak to anyone even to set up appt. is difficult. Wait time today just to set up appt. was eight minutes. Bigger is not always better.

I went in my first time seen the PA Juri he is very professional and was up on my problems got my arm better in 3 weeks now my hip bone on bone only surgery can help so Im going in to meet Dr Spivey because the PA will only assit.So bottom line yessss this is a great place to go for bone issues.

I had a wrist problem and called Athens Orthopedic Clinic because they have a good reputation in the market. Getting an appointment was pretty straightforward and easy. My appointment was with Dr. Jimmy Spivey. So, I was there at the doctors office waiting for the doctor, and one of a sudden PA comes in and starts talking as if nothing happened. So, they have changed it to his PA, Juri van der Heijden, without even asking me and they do not really care! The PA was talking non-stop as if he needs to leave the room as soon as possible. I could see that he could not even listen to me, and just shaking his legs and his body leaning towards the door. The total time he stayed in the room was 3-4 minutes and when I asked him, I have some other questions and MRI films to show, he said he does not have time for those! Very disrespectful!Short story shorter, he offered me that I can have an operation on my wrist. And when I asked if I can see Dr. Spivey (because I did not believe in his findings and decision), he said he would let me shake hands with him before the operation! (Dude, I am not trying to meet the CEO of Coca Cola, just a doctor.). He also stereotyped me and thought I speak Spanish, I am not even getting into that.Anyways, I have called Athens Orthopedic Clinics main office to reschedule an appointment with another doctor, and left a voice mail to the Director of Operations but no luck.So, I would not recommend both Jimmy Spivey and Athens Orthopedic Clinic.
