I ben here for six yrs Im one of the hard headed ones but today I ben clean five yrs and its all because of this place couldnt live with it but damn sure couldnt live without It... Im so proud to say Im clean and healthy today every place anywhere has issues thats just life its you and how you deal with the stressful situations that will make a difference

I have been at NKY med clinic for six years now. The first year it opened was a complete mess!! but as of right now I owe that place my life , had awesome counselors and horrible ones but I can truly say it has saved my LIFE!!!! Only one thing is that I have been clean for so long now their should be extra privileges for patients for the ones that are doing it the correct way..... For the ones still in active addiction need more intense help !!! Maybe from people that have walked a mile in the patients shoes.... ???? Over all I appreciate every staff member there .....

THE APP DOES WORK ON WEEKENDS! That blonde lady tells you it doesnt work because she has control issues. She is lying. The Engage app is great and works just fine on the weekends!

I have been a patient here for almost 4 years. I read through these reviews for the first time and it was a little disappointing. At the end of the day this clinic is saving lives. It certainly saved mine; and it was not saved solely by the medication, but also by the counselors and nurses that looked out for me. The staff here needs to tell us tough truths at times, and while we may not like hearing it, they are ultimately helping us grow. Hearing the truth or being called out for our actions can be tough to swallow, but it has to happen if we are going to survive and continue to recover. Addiction is a brutal illness... It does much more than affects a persons physical health... It can alter the way you think and the way you behave... Prior to becoming addicted I didn’t blame others for my mistakes or deflect my problems onto others, and after coming out of addiction these negative behaviors continued to occasionally resurface; I appreciate the people who are willing to tell me I am wrong so that I can improve. Additionally, to anyone who has encountered someone in a bad mood at this clinic - understand that they are human and their jobs are not always easy - trying to correct the negative patterns of thinking that I just mentioned is not easy work - they are screamed at and cursed at often, and it would be impossible to have that happen and then immediately shift back to a joyous mood. Try to be as compassionate and understanding of them; as they are for us.

I transferred in from a clinic in Cincinnati, Ohio. They are a bit more relaxed and the atmosphere is not really monitored. My counselor Davon has been wonderful to work with and seems to know me personally and is interested in what my goals are. MAT is a blessing to me and my family I couldnt have stayed clean and sober for 7 years without it. NKY Meds is just like any other clinic, you get out of it what you put into it and so far Im loving this place ❤

Having been a patient here for several years and having seen some of the best people watching here(arguably better than rural walmart) I can share an informed opinion. Some days you will wait for an hour, other days you will wait just two minutes and be in and out. Since the pandemic last year they have seriously loosened the legal constraints on take-home doses. Unless you use illicit substances, smoke pot everyday, or are prescribed benzodiazipines, you will get take homes in 30-60 days. It used to take 3-6 months. They accept most medicaid and state insurance. Usually people pay nothing. Overall its a place where people come to get help and heal, although it gets a bad reputation because of the stigma attached to MAT, and because sometimes a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch. For anyone struggling with substance use, you dont have to get high ever again. And believe it or not you dont have to go out onto the battlefield alone. May the odds be ever in your favor 😉

Im a patient there and was reading some of these reviews and some of these people on here are liars flat out. If youre serious about getting clean and follow rules and treat people with respect than its a wonderful thing to be a patient there. Working people cant just afford to detox and lay around for weeks getting better. Its been a life saver for myself and would recommend it to anyone. Swear people lie so bad smh!

I’m not gonna knock this place at all because yes it helped me out big time and did save my life. I was told at 21 years old that I needed 2 hip replacements. When I was a kid I was abused really bad and I broke my right femur 4 times and my left femur 3 times due to the abuse. So the weight of the casts tore my hips up. The Dr. told me I needed this procedure soon and I would not be in as much pain anymore or my 2nd option was that he could prescribe me meds to control the pain. Well after doing research on hips and being young and scared I went with option 2. Well 16 years of option 2 you tend to get addicted to the pain meds and I got tired of relying on medication to have a good day. So I went to the clinic and like I said it totally changed my life around. I will say that there was a few staff members that I didn’t see eye to eye with and had issues with them. I feel they made things very difficult for me. However you’re not always going to get along with everyone you encounter in life. So just cuz u had few issues doesn’t mean someone else will. Everyone is different and every situation is different but again this place did save my life. I have been off the meds for 16 months and life is a lot better and a lot more enjoyable. You can read through all these reviews and take it how you want but as I said before everyone is different and every situation is different. I will say in my situation the nurses on the siding side everyone of them girls are very awesome and incredible and they will say good things about me as well there sweethearts. My counselor was awesome as well and the front desk was for the most part great Especially Sherry, Jackie, and Marcy or Maria I can’t ever get her name right lol but I don’t talk to her everyday or very often either but these ladies are sweethearts and care as well. I have seen people treat some of them bad and ya they will stand there ground which they should they don’t deserve to be mistreated they aren’t the ones that made the rules unfortunately they have to enforce them. But as I said you can read through all these reviews and be very scared or not wanna deal with this place but if I was you I wouldn’t do that to myself give them a shot and they will save your life I promise. But you also have to be accepting of the place and open to doing what they ask of you. As I said before there’s a few there that talk to you badly or don’t treat you the way they should come off better than you but it’s very few I promise and you may never encounter those people but then again they may not seem that way to you but I do recommend this place and think you should give them a chance.

Most of the time you are in and out in no time at all. There was one time during a snow emergency that I waited in line for almost 2 hours but considering the circumstances, they did the best they could. The employees have always been helpful amd kind to me but Ive seen and heard of other people having issues. It can be kind of loud at times

Any clinic is a joke. If I could only go back in time. Please whatever you do, go to detox. Dont get hooked on something else. The statistics are so low. Please go to AA or NA for treatment. This facility keeps you on medication. It takes the act of congress to get them to lower your medication, so you will never get out. They dont practice trauma informed care. Prime example is Kimberly Sipe whom actually wrote a review discriminating against addicts. She actually works there!! So how is she writing a review about a place she works at? Really? This place dont care, and youre better off going to a real treatment facility. I am REALLY trying to detox if they will allow it.

People should be Grateful for a place like this. Its a lifesaver period. Its definitely helped me.

I have had good experience with them .. Yes some are rude at times but dam when u got 1,000 people wanting to dose and there counselor have them on hold there is nothing the ladys at the desk can do .. So if your yelling at them I see why thay would be rude... Other then that I do subox and I stay sober

This place is an absolute joke when it comes to the staff. They care nothing for the patients at all and they take their sweet time doing everything no matter how it affects you. Two thirds of the employees can’t be bothered to make you feel comfortable in any way and god forbid you ask them to please consider your work schedule.

They do a great job keeping people sick. They don’t really help. Not a good clinic.

Since I started at this MAT Facility, Ive made some real positive changes in my life. My particular counselor is very attentive and the supporting staff have been very helpful and friendly. My only suggestion would be that they start offering more incentive-based programs (like classes or meetings) that offer discounts or account credit.

I would rate it zero but it wont let me, I have been here 2 months now and today is day 2 of me not going, they really are a joke, I have never failed a drug screen but one of the nurses dont like me so that was enough for me to say I would rather lay it out and be sick, all they want to do is dose you up and hook you for life, when you say no this is fine I dont get sick, they want to dose you up anyway and when you refuse they say you cant dose because you arent following rules, this was the second day in a row they wouldnt let me dose because I refuse to go up, honestly if you can, lay it out for three weeks, you wont regret that decision, Im about to again

Fortunate to have a facility that is helping individuals get off dope. My experience is that you have to want to be clean. This facility gets a bunch of negative feedback but just remember addicts are manipulators and want to get what they want when they want it!

I have been going here for a while and I only come once a week I get take homes for all the other days... I have NEVER had a problem here Ive always paid when I was suppose to and seen my counselor when I was supposed to... With that being said if you do what your supposed to do YOU WONT HAVE PROBLEMS simple as that! I have stayed clean here for a couple years and Im dosing out now with no problems! If you want it bad enough and follow rules youll be fine.. Its a great place! Saved my life and my relationship with my family...

Ive been reading the reviews and Im amazed that people complain about how much money they pay and how because of the $15 a day they deserve to be treated so great. Im new to this location but Ive been on methadone for 2 years. I remember when i used dope and how I would sit in a car in the hood for up to an hour before my dealer finally show up and then yelled at me for calling too much!! I also remember spending hundreds of dollars a day at times for them to treat me this way, not 15!! Grow up an realize that nothing is perfect and no matter what life is way better now than it was back then!

Sometimes theres a very long wait. Conveniently located. $15.00/day.It states that it opens at 5:30am but that is only if you have a work pass. The doors open for everyone at 6:00am. Children are allowed. You will have to wait 10min to 1hour depending on the time, please be prepared to stand in line.

The service provided is life saving.. they could do better in ways of being more personable with patients because gathering the courage and will power to ask for help is not easy and can be very stressful and scary.

The staff is wonderful. They actually care about you and want to help you make your life better.

Been here for over a year it saved my life instead of chasing that high and calling dope dealers and worrying about getting busted its cheaper safer and monitored at all times by doctors nurses and counselors. The counselors can be a joke at sometimes because they hop you from counselor to counselor sometimes because they cant keep no body there to work its sad that such a great place cant keep people to work there.

Long line with a few rude people working at the pay windows, however the dosing line is hardly ever long after 10am to close and all the nurses are very friendly and helpful plus the fact that this place serves a much needed community service on top of turning peoples lives around 180*

This place is the most uncaring and unprofessional place I have seen. The is staff are there for a pay check and thats it.I wish I had never went.The director is especially uncaring and could care less. She needs to be fired and have someone come in that really cares about the people instead of a check.

They dont care about you. All they care is about your money. They put you on narcotics for pain but they refused to take it off.

If you follow the rules and requirements of the program then there usually arnt any problems. Would give 5 stars but the number of counselors vs. patients is terrible. They sometimes switch your counselor without telling you causing issues with your program.

This place is the devil. after 28,000 i was kicked out in 9days off 145mg over 42 dollars. the counselors are phony, uncaring, rude. several have called us junkies INCLUDING THE DIRECTOR... YOUR SUPPOSED GET A PHYSICAL YEARLY I NEVER DID!!!! NEVER CHECK BLOOD PRESSURE ETC. METHADONE IS LIFE SAVING BUT, NOT FROM THIS PLACE. THEY ARE UNCARING VIOLATE HIPPA RULES. THE STATE NEEDS TO CHECK INTO HERE ASAP. HERE YOUR ONLY A NUMBER AND $15. NO ONE CARES ABT YOUR SOBRIETY. THE FAT LAZY TIFFANY AT PAY WINDOW THINKS SHE OWNS THE PLACE. THE ONLY CARING 2 IN THE ENTIRE BUILDING ARE A GREAT MAN NAMED JIM AND HIS DAUGHTER.

This place is ridiculous. My husband has beem going here for a bit now. There are some days that he has to miss mainly because we dont always have the money. They changed the times you can charge to only 6 to 8 am thru the week. Well guess what we have 3 kids that have to be on the bus and taken to school between 7 and 745 and i have to drive him because he has no license. So guess what. I have no one to watch kids tgay early so whem he doesnt have the money we cant even go charge cause they wont let yoy after 8 am. Well he went the other day and gave his 15 bucks. I sat in the car for almost 2 hrs while they made him wait. Then the dr proceded to tell him they couldnt see him anymire and he didnt get an meds or his 15 bucks back. So I called and they said to even get my money back I have to drive back over and fill a form out and wait for a check from the corporate office. It is a 45 min drive from my house. Why would I waste 15 bucks in gas to go wait Im sure 6 to 8 weeks for a 15 check. If they werent going to see him they shouldnt have taken his mo ey. Its a effing joke.

The staff in the front, are the rudest people i have ever seen in my life! i pay good money for this treament and i never disrespect them! and i expect them to treat me the same!!and i am sure a lot of people feel the same!someone needs to give them lessons on there manners!! When i come in to pay 200$for 2 wks!! once every 2 wks is all i every BUG them, i should be treated with just a little resecpt that is all i ask !when i come in the door i shouldnt have to wait for them to get through there consversation that has nothing to do with work bfore i can be waited on i have a job too!!and there never a thank you even if you say it first !! I was in Georgetown Medical and I was always treated with dignity and respect. Had to switch to suboxone because of an anti-fungal med I had to take. So I am going back to Covington tomorrow. I would recommend NKy clinic to anyone wanting to make a change in their life.

Most uncaring workers on a treatment facility Ive ever seen. They treat you as unhumanly as possible its ridiculous. They shouldnt hire people, Drs, and counselors In this line of work that cant handle recovering addicts

I have failed at many treatments. I even failed coming out of prison. Today I have two years off of any illicit substances and am only on 5mg. Of methadone. Soon to be zero. I thank god for this place.

I would rather b broke and feel good than have money and feel bad. But it would b nice if nky med accepted medicade. Care source covers methadone for substance abuse but nky med has to b a provider and theyre not.

Im not saying I hated it because Ive not been there, but while researching methadone clinics I noticed that these previous reviews seem too good. Two have the same last name Noel. The first says it saved their daughters life. Then the second one says their mom decided inpatient rehab would help them, but the name Aaron is a boys name. (It just so happens to be my brothers name.)Then theres the name Elias and coincidentally in the first review it is the persons last name and the second its persons first name (oh & the first one used the word flat, a British term, instead of apartment.) Seems a bit fishy to me. It seems that NKY Med Clinic may not be so great if they have to make up or pay for poorly thought out fake reviews.

There r alot of great people but there are only a few at front desk that u can talk to and get things done the others r rude and if u want nice people go to Tonya and Sara Nikki the nurse and I like Kat the cousler

My childrens father has recently started here at this clinic and its the truth! Meaning things are wayyyy more manageable in our daily life now that he isnt chasing a drug allll day. Im so thankful for this program... All though it is a bit expensive it last all day for him and has been the best answer so far. So for all of that I am greatful !! 😀😀

The place acts as if they care when for them its all about the cash. the right, cash. january 2017 they took everyones insurance information and told all us patients that they were going to file for our treatment like all the other methadone clinics across the U.S.. They lied, it was to gain excess to our insurance information so they could file for themselves and save them money on the urine taesting. Another clinic was to open down the street that was going to file with insurance for treatment and they put a stop to its opening by filling a law suite. This place is all about the cash intake and they were audited for im sure for reason stated above that they are not reporting all the cash that come through there. If they really care about their patients they would file with insurance for they know as well as i that the majority of the people that go their can not afford $ 400.00 a month. How many kids do you think this effects. They are taking away from families badly needed money for some kind of benefit for them otherwise they would file through insurance like all the other clinics do.

Misleading ad claims to be a saboxone clinic, yet is strictly a methadone clinic. Going to report misleading ad to government officials as well as better business bureau

If your goal is to get off heroin or other opiates it works but why they do not tell you is methadone is more addicting and harder to withdraw from than heroin. So unless your planning on being there forever you will eventually have to go through the withdrawals. There is no plan to get you off the methadone. Sometimes the line is over an hour long. 15$ a day sounds cheaper than what your spending on drugs but it adds up. If you cant afford it dont do it. Because they changed their charging policy so you cant get any financial help. It has saved me in alot of ways but has also prolonged my recovery dramatically. Dont plan on being there a few months and leaving when you think your better because you will withdrawl horribly. Not a week of being sick Im talking months before the methadone is out of your system. If you can get into a rehab do it. Methadone should be your last resort because after you start going your gonna be there atleast a year. Another thing is Im on 35 miligrams and pay the same amount as someone on 150 milligrams. Because they say your paying for the counceling . Your actual cost for the methadone is under 5$ a month and you are paying 15$ a day. Its bullshit. If I was receiving couceling maybe I could see that but in all honesty I see my coucelor maybe once a month. The system needs to be changed. They do not accept insurance either. Im stuck there for now. They know you cant just leave cause you will be sick. They do not care about you. Its all about the money. Pisses me off. Im paying for a service I dont recieve. I wish they would understand if i we werent there neither would they be. Your able to have a job because of ppl like me and they treat us like little kids. If you truly want to be clean and sober do not go to this methadone clinic. This is a business not a rehab or treatment facility. They want your money and thats all they care about. It helps you get off heroin but you are trading one thing for another. The only difference is you are able to be a functioning addict and work without being sick. But its just as addicting and garer to get off of. This is my 5th time going into the clinic. If I could go back to the first day I went I would not do it. This is not something you can do for a few months its a long long process.

Great place with some really cool Covington Cops hired to thwart illicit drug sales on or near the property. Beginners are UA tested weekly. Other local clinics should follow.My only complaint is there are too many clients willing to keep using or sell a portion of their meds, which holds back ALL of us from being to fill our meds like any responsible adult.........at our local pharmacy! Please take time to learn the FACTS, not the rumors of how methadone works! Best clinic in the tri-state! As to the above person being stuck there......Im sure your drug dealer would be happy to take your money and always be there for you? If U R not happy with the clinic, you can always pick up the needle again, Right?

My son went there methadone is just a bandage covering up the problem methadone dont fix you only you can fix you and unless you deal with your problems then nothing will truly help he went for 3 years and stayed on the highest dose tell me hows that helping ???? Lets not mention when u go there youll see slot of pregnant plp there laughing and cutting up guess there proud of what there doing to there unborn baby hopefully state vets them kids
