Since the start of our daughter doing tumbling about 3 yrs ago until now with TAFF Royals it’s been a great experience for her. She loves going to class every week to practice and interact with the other athletes. Every coach creates a very positive environment to learn and staff is fantastic.

My 4 year old goes here and we LOVE it! The owner and employees truly care about the kids. My daughter counts down the days every week to get to go back there. I honestly cant say enough good things about them!

WARNING!! My family spent 6 years at this business and although the last few I have had some reservations about how this business is run and the way the coaches “motivate” children, I kept making excuses for them because it was where my daughter had made connections and spent everyday after school 3+ hours a day. In their favorite words, “my perception is”... DO Not go here if you value your own ability to voice any concern. The moment we did we were personally, and verbally attacked and three weeks later dismissed from the gym. This was after one of their head coaches made my daughter stand in front of her and another gymnast as this coach told this gymnast not to be friends with my daughter, to not hang out with her, that my daughter is not a good person, does not listen and not a good influence. My daughter doesn’t get in trouble in school, helps others in need and was even on Gymkix’s very own (LIT) Leaders In Training program where she helped in younger classes. She was personally asked by this coach multiple times to come help her classes. After I raised a concern the problems started getting worse. My daughter had already been being treated poorly a lot before the complaint but it got even worse after. I was roped into an ambush of 4 coaches and myself when I only asked for a phone call from the owners. The owner personally attacked my daughter and I the entire night, I had to tell her multiple times that attacking behavior will not fix the issue of my daughter and other gymnasts not feeling safe to talk to the coaches and confident that they resolve issues appropriately and without retaliation. The main head coach even told the gymnasts that if their parents complained, the coaches would not correct their skills. This owner called us liars by saying it was all our perception and even went as far to tell me at the end of a very long night of her attitude and attacks that our issues were invalid. Even as the petty owner tried kicking us out of the gym forever that night, the coaches tried to salvage the relationship with my daughter as they comforted her from her distraught emotions from the owners behavior. They told her they would see her the next day and everything would be better. I wish that had been the case. The next day was ok, awkward, but ok. Then the ice storm hit and when my daughter returned upon their reopening she came home again and again very upset of how she was being treated differently from the other girls. The owner took it upon herself the last night one of her coach’s acted like a mean girl bulling my kid, to not allow me to speak to any of the coaches. I contacted three coaches and was ignored except by one who said she would call me but never did. Instead we received at late night email dismissing us from Gymkix. I have since met so many parents that share their same concerns and same story of dismissal from this business because they brought up a concern. My daughter is now in a loving gym that values every gymnast equally, works with everyone the same and even talks to parents at the end of the night willingly. Please think of you and your child’s mental well being of you decide to give Gymkix a try. Unfortunately, the true nature will arise and if you raise a concern, you will be dismissed. I’ve had no issues with any of the other owners but they too have not returned and of my emails that raise any concern pertaining to their gym leadership. I’ve even received a statement of billing for the month of April. Good thing I had common sense when another parent advised me to change my card on file or I’m sure they would have charged me even after their rude and untimely dismissal. My daughter was set to compete just 4 days later and because of their pettiness she will not be able to compete this year. “My perception” was that this was an already planned final screw you from the petty owner!

I decided to enroll my VERY active two year old in their start smart program, her pediatrician actually had told me enroll her in gymnastics to help get her energy out! She may have drove her teachers nuts lol but she has done so much better at home with listening and following directions! I think I’ll wait till she’s 3 to enroll her in other classes lol but I highly recommend GymKix!

It’s an okay place for kids to blow off energy. My son was enrolled in their ninja class for about 6 months. A lot of kids versus 1 instructor! The kids pretty much run around and play on all the equipment. No kicking, no punching, no discipline. It is well kept and clean.

A price increase occurred without prior notification. They said they sent an email. But I didnt get it, I get all my statements and invoices though. Also, they said they posted the price increase on Facebook. Not sure that should be considered a reliable form of communication. They canceled class on Halloween without informing us until we got there.

Gymkix is probably The Best!!! place for children in Central Texas.1. Gymkix is a one-stop shop: They offer different classes from dancing and gymnastics to cheer and fun camps. They probably offer more since we left loooooong time ago.2. An after-school place to engage kids in an active and healthy lifestyle.3. We got to Travel! One of my favorite things was: Gymkix offers opportunities for your child to travel and meet many new faces through workshops and competitions.4. Lastly, Gymkix is operated by a very humble, God-loving family! I am always amazed by Mr. and Mrs. Bennett and their two daughters, Stephanie and Carrie. They are extremely professional, very caring, and they always seem to keep up with the latest trends of the business. As young as they are, I have to say, that these ladies are better leaders than many people Ive known in my military years and in my profession. Also, they hire the Best Staff Members!!!We left Central Texas about seven years ago when we moved but, I always wish theres a place like Gymkix for our 8-yr. old daughter. I feel that we are doing an injustice for not enrolling her in a similar program but, I havent yet found the right place. I wish I could drive back and forth 2.5 hours everyday to take her to Gymkix.Obviously, I am not writing this review to get a discount but, I sincerely believe that placing our son in Gymkix for about four years impacted his life and his character. He is now a senior in high school, ranked #5 out of 788 in his graduating class, being looked at by the ivy leagues schools...a great student-athlete. In fact, everyone that was in the same dance and gymnastics classes with him turned out to be very successful young ladies and gentlemen. Thank you Gymkix!!!
