There’s so many wonderful things I can say so far. I am at stage two of my dental journey and just being able to say that we have made that much progress is impressive to me! I am thankful for Dr Oakley and the wonderful staff that ALWAYS makes me comfortable. I even have visitors (other assistants) that come in and check on me after I have something done. I feel like I am loved when I walk in and I feel like ANY question never goes unanswered. Thank you! This has changed my thinking about dentists completely! I will never go anywhere else as long as your doors are open!!!

Called with questions in regards to making an appointment. The receptionist was very dismissive. Barely answered any of my questions and then when I asked if they take my insurance she said “I’ve never heard of that insurance before”.. I responded that if they don’t take that insurance that I would have to go somewhere else and the receptionist said “okay thanks” and hung up. Didn’t even offer to look into it. Disappointed.

I had gotten a broken tooth that went all the way down to the gum on the weekend and waited for Monday to come around. My regular dentist would not see me that day as they were booked, even though It was an emergency. I called multiple dentistrys and when I called Hintz & Oakley Family Dentistry they worked me in even though I was a new patient. As soon as I was finished with my paperwork they saw me immediately. Dr. Oakley examined me and told me in detail what the situation with my tooth was. He answered any questions and concerns I had and referred me to a oral surgeon. A few days later my broken tooth came out after business hours and I called Dr. Oakley. He got back to me that day and alleviated my concerns. Im never going back to my old dentist again.

Phenomenal Dental Practice! I would have given 6 stars if I could. I’ve been going to Hintz and Oakley for about 1.5 years and they never disappoint. Both Dentists are awesome as well as their hygiene team and their dental assisting team! Front office team is always so sweet, kind, and helpful as well. Definitely recommend.

Took my mother in law in for a cleaning . APPT was AT 9:30, 1 hour and 45mins later still waiting. Ask if there was a problem, they said just running behind. Sad at 9:30 in the morning they are already behind . Not to mention having to listen to kids on their phones watching cartoons while the TV was playing also...

Have been able to fit me in, no matter my schedule. Also I apparently left my jacket and they have been holding it, I didnt even know! Love these Ladies and Gents!

I had a really painful abscess & though I was a new patient they got me in same day. I didnt wait long at all until staff took me back. Dr. Oakley examined me & was up front - he would try to pull it, but it was in such a shape that it might crumble & require surgery. They quickly told me up front what the cost & details would be worst case scenario. I agreed & they went to work. He was able to pull the tooth painlessly without surgery.I HATE dentists. Its not personal, just have a stormy history with them. I love this office & would recommend them to anyone, especially if you just want dental care without pressure to upsell procedures.

I am a manager at a transitional housing recovery program called Next Step. We brought a resident by. The staff is wonderful. The facility is super-clean. They do temperature and COVID symptom checks to keep everyone safe. The dental staff is top knotch, and we could not be more pleased. I highly recommend them.

Helllllooooooooo everybody. I am what you call a big mega baby when it comes to pain. I hate needles and I’m not good with the slightest of any pain. I just had a root canal experience with Oakley and it was incredible! I was so scared, but the only discomfort I had was keeping my mouth open so my jaw was sore. For those of you who haven’t had a root canal and are afraid if the time comes and you may need one, do not be afraid! It felt like a tooth massage and even then that’s all I felt. I would definitely recommend this place and I want to deter any scary thoughts. It truly is not bad. Thank you!

Truly caring dentistry. Very understanding and patient. Always have made us feel comfortable and pricing is extremely affordable!! They are not out to rob you with needless costs. I have seen so many dentist mislead us... I have never had that issue here. They are talented, careful... and great quality.

Very disappointed. I called to get an appointment because I am having some issues with my teeth and am in need of a new dentist. The receptionist was talking to someone in the background as I was telling her what the issue was and then she informed me I could not get an appointment until May. I tried to explain the issues again and that I didnt think I could wait that long and she, again, started talking to someone in the background, was clearly uninterested then said goodbye and hung up. I had heard good things about this office so I was really surprised by my interaction.

Best dentist in Cookeville! Friendly staff and never that long of a wait. I have two little ones and they always make them feel comfortable. They LOVE the treasure box at the end and look forward to picking out a toy.

They are amazing with children! My child had to have a cavity filled and he didnt even know he had received a shot to numb him. He loves going and he has had 2 cavities and 2 cleanings. I have personally had multiple experiences with them and they are wonderful! I would recommend them to anyone! Dr. Oakley has the best demeanor with patients. He is always looking out for the best interest of the patient.

These guys are awesome. I switched to them 7 years ago. after a local dentist drilled to deep and then told me I could pay extra for an extraction when unnecessary. They have always been upfront about costs. Worked with me when a root canal was needed to fix the tooth the other dentist ruined. They even temporarily fixed that tooth for free until I could get my root canal. They are honest and go above and beyond. They also work with me when it comes to work needed, costs, and insurance claims.

I had my first cavities filled here, no problem. I came back for my cleaning 6 months later, no problem. The next time I had X-Rays, I was told I had four more cavities. I was given a proposal that said my insurance would cover the cost except for $123. I had the work done, then received a bill for $323 (on top of the $123 I already expected to pay). When I called I was told my insurance did not pay because these were the same teeth I had had worked on less than a year ago. Dr. Oakley DID NOT inform me that these were the same teeth that he had worked on 6 months ago. I never got an answer as to why my teeth werent completely fixed the first time I had work done on them. After I called an explained my outrage, they reduced my bill to $150, basically confirming the thought that they were trying to get as much money out of me as possible. Nice staff but not worth getting taken advantage of. Will not be going back.

This place is pretty awesome. Friendly, quick, and cheap. I had a tooth with a deep cavity that they felt could be handled by filling instead of a root canal. They told me if my filling happens to need to be a root canal, the charge from the first visit would be credited towards the root canal appointment.

Put a filling in one of my teeth in front, came out looking like a shark tooth had to come home and file it myself after the rude dentist said the other dentist did it correct, wish I had the picture still! You could puncture a can with it.

I am on a very limited income, so I was really worried because some dentists charge through the nose. But they were very reasonable and didnt charge me for some of the extra xrays they took, and they waved the exam fee since I was getting a tooth pulled. It ended up being a lot cheaper than I thought it was going to be. They were very kind and knowledgeable and I really like that they didnt try that crap of presenting you with a treatment plan with everything and the kitchen sink for thousands of bucks, insisting you needed it ASAP. They told me this is what you really need to have done now and that was that - and it was just the tooth extraction.I will absolutely use them again in the future. I was very pleased with their care.And Dr. Oakley found a shard of tooth the last dentist I had seen had left in my gums during extractions, lol, and he pulled it out. If that had been at Aspen Dental, they probably would have charged me for another tooth extraction! Haha.

They took the pain of my tooth serious unlike some dentist they were great.
