I wish I could give this place a five-star review, because I absolutely love Dr. bishai. He truly listens & connects with his patients & is very understanding. Ive never felt ashamed or judged once while being a patient of his.Unfortunately, what reflects my two star review, is his staff. The level of horrible service is so bad it reflects more than how good of a doctor he is. His staff has made being a patient so unbelievably hard & stressful... It gives me anxiety to talk to them. Not only are they rude, but they hang up on you & will not refill your prescriptions. Ive had to call multiple times a day, every day for two weeks just to get a single refill. Unfortunately that was not a single experience, it has happened multiple times. Ive been a patient for about a year and have been giving them chance after chance. But I can no longer set aside quietly. I do not want anyone else falling into the horrible experience that Ive had here. I could go on forever, this may not seem like a big issue and thats what I thought at first too. But after a year of service from these rude, horrible people, Im warning you that its not worth it. There are equally great doctors out there with much more supportive and caring staff

Went in with a pinched nerve in my lower back and pain level was a 9. I could barely take a step. I was given a cortisone injection and by the next day i was pain free. Dr Bishai has been overseeing my pain management for over 10 years. He is passionate about his field and personal and caring with his patients. My husband has also benefitted from his treatment.He believes in resolving the pain issues when possible rather than treating with drugs. I do wish he would start accepting insurances again.

Very nice staff. Dr. Bishai is also very knowledgeable and caring about his patients, you can tell he really loves what he does. The only issue I have is that you have to wait at least 45 mins for your appointment before anyone actually sees you, even if you show up on time/early. Last time I came, I sat for over an hr in the office before getting fed up and left. Edit: I was given meds for a condition that the doctor diagnosed within 5-10 mins of walking in based off a questionnaire that made my condition worse. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but after visiting multiple times, Im not convinced he is even certified for psychiatric treatment.

The Woodlands Pain Institute are very caring from the moment you enter the facility until leaving for home. I was treated with respect and excellent care. But the main DIFFERENCE I FOUND AT THIS FACILITY IS that they actually listen to you and even better is that they hear you. After initial assessment and testing are done your doctor gives you a personalized plan for your recovery and you are off and running towards a better quality of life. I would recommend this clinic to friends, family or anyone in need of pain relief.

Dr. Bishai is the kindest, most caring, smartest doctor I have had in my 27 years of dealing with chronic headaches and Migraines. He gave me an infusion 2 years ago with Ketamine and it changed my life of pain. This place has taken two MRI and see that I need help but refuse to treat me Im going to have to get my medical records and find a new place to get treat ment .I do not sugest any body go there because they dont seem to want to help me do anything for my pain

I have had a great experience since I was a first timer. I barely wait to be helped when I check in, most of the time it’s immediately. The staff and Dr. Bishai are all very friendly and helpful. I had injections in my lower back again today. I’ve been going to The Woodlands Pain Institute for several years now. Two back surgeons have told me they will not touch my back so all I can do is try to control the pain. It’s so bad all the time I just can’t stand it without some relief. Sometimes it hurts so bad just walking from my bedroom to my kitchen, I’m all bent over and not sure I’m going to make it to the kitchen. I get these injections and sometimes they help and sometimes they don’t help. This clinic, and the doctors are the best. They really care. I can talk to them and be honest with them. They care about my feelings, they care about what I want, and they treat me like I would want my mother treated. I highly recommend The Woodlands Pain Institute, St Mary’s Ambulatory Surgery Center, Dr. Bishai and Dr. White.

I’ve been coming here for many years to get treatment for my back. With 2 spinal fusions I have to be treated all the time with medication and injections. The staff has always been friendly and both the doctors are caring and concerned for my health and over all well being.

The doctors at this office are absolutely amazing I’ve been going there for years. They listen to your needs and what you need when you’re in severe pain and they do all they can for you. Dr white is the most professional pain management doctor I have ever been to. He tells it just like it is. I told the pain med was helping me but I was still in pain. Hme told that he has given me the most pain medication that he could.and that he could not prescribe any stronger. I did not have any words to say after I left I thought this is a good doctor and we talked about burning the nerves in my back we did it 6 months ago I was using a walker and did have to use a walker until now . Thank God for honest doctors.

I had to cancel appointment for my MRI due to having another medical problem the day I was supposed to get Mri I knew I was unable to go thru the procedure that day. I spoke with Rachel she was extremely rude and told me I needed to try to come in anyway when I explained that there was no way that I could lay still for mri because my neck muscles were drawing up like a severe Charlie horse and could not make it stop. I knew I could not lay still in mri. She rescheduled the mri and I never got reminder or a text to confirm appt and I was ill for several days and did not remember the date I was supposed to go, when I called in I was left on hold for several minutes and then Rachel told me I would have to pay 150.00 for a no show fee even thou they never confirmed appointment with me. She was so rude and I would never go to this place for any procedure. It was obvious to me she did not even care that I was having a severe issue and enjoyed telling me I owed them money, she was very condescending and unprofessional.

Dr Bishai and his staff are the best. Dr Bishai is a very caring and conscientious doctor. He cares for his patients and their well being. I would not think of going to any other doctor for pain management.

I’ve been a patient of Dr White for a little over a year. Dr White is a great and kind doctor. I’ve been to other places and imho this is the #1 place for pain management. They are not pill pushers. Dr White has and is trying to fix my broken body. It would be far easier for him to just prescribe pills. But you have to want to get help. There is no easy cure for anyone’s pain issues. His bedside manner was impeccable and even though treatment has just begun, my family and I are beyond hopeful that I can regain my quality of life. Both pain management Doctors and their P.A.’s really listened to any concerns I had; and discussed many different treatments that not only would be good for me, but that I am also comfortable with.

When I first went to Dr Bishai I was extremely skeptical because Ive seen numerous Doctors. I saw him for inpatient care as well as pain management. He was able to diagnose my symptoms prescribe the proper medication for my mental health issues with only a 30 minute consultation. One year ago this month I have completely transformed and I am more focused, confident, and most importantly the happiest that I have ever been, in addition I have been able to handle the things that are going in in our world today without becoming stressed out or depressed.

I’m beyond thankful for Dr. Bishai and his practice. He’s an amazing doctor and person. Thanks to him I’ve improved so much in each and every aspect of my life. He knows his stuff. Really. At 40 years old. I have already had 15 knee surgeries and a total knee replacement by the time I was 30. For me daily activities and movement it felt like I was like walking on a bed of nails. I have seen many orthopedist, and pain management doctors and getting relief from the pain was no where in sight. I came across The Woodlands Pain Institute, in Conroe.The Staff, Nurse Practitioner’s, and MD’s make you feel at home, and in a safe place. They work as a team, and show you great care and bed side manors. I can officially say that with the treatment plans given to me. I am now at place in life where I’m mostly pain free. I can never give their entire team enough thanks and praise for what they have done for me and my life.

I have been a patient with The Woodlands Pain Institute for 5+ years and have seen the transition to the new facility as well as grown personal attachments to the entire staff. From the Office Manager to the Doctors, this place is beyond the best. While there have been some kinks while Dr.BIshai has been on leave, such as longer wait times, the team is really working to the best of their ability to continue to serve with the highest level of respect and patient care. Although some recent negative reviews of Dr,White have been posted, my experiences with him have been nothing short of positive and professional. He listened to my concerns and gave me real advice on medicines without treating me with any less respect. I highly regard any doctor who jumped in to such an intense challenge of a highly regarded clinic, with an extremely high volume of not easily pleased patients who were already used to a previous doctor. Kudos to him for taking on that challenge and in my opinion rising to meet it. I recommend this clinic to anyone seeking true and meaningful help with pain!

Dr. B is amazing! If you are looking for a pain management doc who truly cares deeply about the physical and mental wellbeing of his patients, then he is the doctor you want. I fractured my tibia in June 2020 and what should have been a pretty routine recovery turned into a nightmare. My foot turned purple and ice cold soon after the injury and I had excruciating pain in my foot, calf and leg. Long story short, I went to my ortho doc several times to complain about my leg and foot and he never listened. I finally found a good ortho doc who took the time to listen and suspected I had Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), a rare disease that forms after injuries. So I was referred to a pain doc but because I was in such bad shape, I needed to be seen asap. I found woodlands pain institute by pure chance and I could not have been happier! They saw me the same day I called (on a Thursday) and after meeting Dr. B, I realized that this was a truly compassionate and extremely knowledgeable doctor. In addition to all of his specialties, Dr. B specializes in RSD and frequently treats the disease! My first visit with him, he described the disease, etiology, treatments, and was very honest about possible outcomes. The visit lasted at least 45 minutes because of his explanations and giving me the opportunity to ask questions. He is such a kind doctor and one of the only ones I have encountered who actually will sit and listen. Plus, he isnt one to push drugs on you, which was always my concern when going to a pain management doctor. I now get weekly nerve block injections in my spine, which are no joke. However, the treatments are working and I couldnt be happier to have found such an amazing doctor. So, if you are looking for a pain management doctor who is caring, compassionate, and dedicated to his patients, look no further. And, if you fall into the small category of those suffering from RSD, you must come see Dr. B. I had no idea what was happening to me when I was diagnosed and Dr. B has reassured me and has supported me through this ongoing tough journey.

I would like to say Dr. Bishai is one of the most compassionate, caring, knowledgeable, professional Pain Doctor my husband and myself have ever encountered. My husband having 3 back surgeries along with a spinal stimulator implanted by him has given my 62 year old husband an increased ability to live his life to the fullest. My dad is a patient there. I have seen my dad struggle with pain and spasms. Dr. Bishai has offered many choices of care from injections and prescriptions to help. Well organized institute, receptionist, nurses and all other staff were very kind and helpful. Dr Beshai was really wonderful person, caring, competent, knows very well what he is doing, explained all details about my case, decided and proceeded the effective treatment promptly. Dr. Bishai is a wonderful doctor who has been treating me for many years since I broke my back. He has helped me so much with the procedures that he performed.

The practitioners are adequate but the scheduling process is terrible. Phone lines are only available from 8-4 and you cannot leave messages unless you want to be charged a $25 penalty. There is an online portal where you can see your history but I doubt it is updated because it says I am taking medication that I said I did not want to take. The portal will do everything but allow you to schedule appointments and see upcoming appointment availability. Im almost certain my insurance claim was sent late resulting in a cancellation of a procedure I waited nearly 5 months to get scheduled for. Bottom line, youll get good treatment but youll probably get better patient services elsewhere.

I have been going to Dr. Bashai for a few years. My issues are progressive but he has spent a lot of time working and researching every way that might give me relief. Chemically and non chemically, that is respectful. The staff have become friends and I love them. If this team doesnt help you maybe you havent been truthful. Every symptom helps in your best treatment.

I have been a patient for several years dealing with chronic pain. Dr. Bishai is an exceptional caring physician I highly recommend. Although there is always a wait, it is worth it. Very disappointed in the lack of communication from Dr. Bishai’s office. I had questions regarding a medication and never could get anyone to call me back and got hung up on several times when I called. They seem too busy to answer questions. Visit was rushed and the medication prescribed wasn’t what my son needed.

I had an epidural in 3 locations and I feel so much better! The staff is very professional, personable and quick to handle business without a long wait. I will have lumbar issues all my life and I am so happy to have fund a great doctor and staff to treat and handle my personal business.

After Dr. Bishais arrest, this practice has gone down the drains. My mother, who has a crippling form of cancer, has great pain from the damage the cancer has done to her spine. She has been to see this doctors office for a while now and stuck with him even when he was arrested for accusations dealing with six patients dying from overdoses. That is because he is caring. We didnt observe any of the things he is accused of doing. Yesterday, the doctors NP prescribed two medications for her intense pain. At check out, we were informed that my mothers medical insurance dropped the practice. We asked if that would impact her ability to obtain her prescriptions. They said it would not and said theyd submit her medications to my mothers pharmacy by close of business day. These are medications that my mom has been on for a long time as there is no repair of the damage to her spine. She will withdraw without being on them, too. It is the weekend now and the medications havent been filled. I called the answering service to see if they could contact the doctor who is in charge of the practice while Dr. Bishai is out, a Dr. White, whom the NP reports to remind him to send over her prescriptions. A doctor that weve never manage to even get seen by since he joined the practice. The phone rep said she would not call about prescriptions and if my mother withdraws she can go to an ER as she isnt going to bother the doctor for that concern. Really? How compassionate. Cant bother the doctor on the weekend and go spend thousands at an ER for their oversight. Is it because her insurance dropped the medical practice, they simply decided not to bother overseeing her medical care? If not, their actions sure seem like it. My mothers form of cancer is one of the most painful due to the damage it does to bones. She will die from the cancer as even when it goes into remission, it always returns. And, she faces lingering pain to her spine that is often at a 10, the highest on the pain scale. I tried to get my mom to drop this doctors practice when the doctor was arrested. I wish she would have listened to me. How many other patients have they uncaringly done this too? Please, anyone who is thinking of going to this practice. Dont.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bishai for many years. I can tell you he has solved so many problems. I was not able to walk since my back was in such terrible shape. His office is always adequately staffed. The only thing he has been guilty of is helping reduce back pain of disc bulges that pinch nerves. How can he be held liable when other patients use multiple scripts from other doctors to get the highest high imaginable. I will go to Doctor B as long as I am able. Ive been on pain management since 2008. I was referred to Dr. Bishai for further treatment. We never discussed adding medication but trying alternative treatments. With that being said we tried one brand of spinal cord stimulator, unfortunately that did not work. So now we are trying another. Due to my medical conditions I needed to wait a few months. I have had 5 back surgeries to date. I cant be more pleased with Dr. Bishai in trying any and all alternatives to actually attempt to deducing meds. We are not there yet. But there is nothing I can say other than the compassion and understanding I have received is beyond any in my 12 yrs of pain management. Dr. Emad Bishai, a respected honest man, is one of the most faithful doctors I’ve ever had the privilege to serve me. Dr. Bishai’s clinic consists of love and care to all their patients. They took me in with care as like I’m their priority. I highly recommend this clinic.

Dr. Bishai being arrested is in my humble opinion just plain WRONG! I have seen several pain management doctors and his office procedure of routine drug testing prior to prescribing opioid pain medication to me for my chronic pain is one of the most aggressive I have encountered. It is so sad that misuse of pain medication is making it so hard for folks like me who need it to ensure a quality of life. Out of the 3 different pain management doctors who have both performed interventional therapy such as steroid injections and radiofrequency ablation, Dr. Bishais procedures have produced the longest term relief, allowing me to minimize my use of opioid pain medication, for which I am eternally grateful.

Dr. Bashai is an absolute God send! The good Dr got me through back surgery and back on my feet. Long story short Dr. Emad Bashai is one hell of a Dr, but even a better God fearing man!!!

After 11 surgeries and being diagnosed with several chronic illnesses, crossing paths with Dr. Emad Bishai has been an absolute Godsend. Dr. Bishai is the most competent, professional, caring and personable doctor I have ever been to. He has been very diligent in the care he has provided me over the past 3 years with a most conservative approach.If you are looking for a pain management doctor that doesn’t overload you with medication and provides other alternatives, I highly recommend Dr. Bishai and his services. My wife and I moved to Tomball from Arizona in 2016 and we both needed a pcp and pain management doctor. We found Dr Bishai on reviews from patients and we chose him. I have been deteriorating from 30 years of masonry contracting work. My wife has been a nurse for over 35 years and very torn down. He has been extremely kind , attentive, innovative and strategic on our health plans. He lowered my medicine right off the top and explained I would have to follow recommendations for procedures and innovations for pain such as , blocks, ablation of nerves and spinal cord implant to ketamine. Also, he gives us both well being checks in the most sincere way each time we see him. He try’s alternatives to narcotic all the time and encourages quality, hobbies, muscle strengthening, weight loss diet and quitting smoking. We are so sad he has been pulled from practice! My wife just had stem cells and is getting stronger and in very little medicine for pain. I am down to a low dose of medicine and awaiting him to come back and do more procedures! He is an expert physician and beloved and respected by all of us who are hurting!! Please bring him back!!

Dr Bishai is kind, concerned, cautious and very professional doctor who is currently being persecuted by the Montgomery County, TX District Attorney. This doctor is an exemplary pain specialist. When it comes to dispensing opioids, he is overly cautious. Many hundreds of patients (including Stage IV cancer patients like myself) are now going without their medications because the DA is looking for a scapegoat to hang the opioid crisis on. Well, look elsewhere, Mr. DA!! This doctor sets the bar so much higher than many of his counterparts. He tests all of his patients who come into his office for prescription pain medications- that’s right- each and every time, regardless of their age or medical condition. Many people will be wronged if this doctor is forced to go out of business because of this unjustified witch hunt. 😡

Dr Bishai was a wonderful , compassionate doctor who is excellent in all modes of pain trearment. His replacdment Dr. White is still wet behind the ears. He just recently graduated school and residence and clearly has no idea how to treat patients.He had the bedside manner of a pompous Toad. He has no clue what he is doing sinc he has no real world patient experience. If you want to be treated like a junkie, a drug induced pill popper, a drug dealer,(accuses you of selling your medication). He does not follow the letter of guidelines put out by the government, he just does what he pleases. I would suggest you walk away, no, run away as fast as you can from the person as quickly as possible. If Dr Bishsi returns things willl get back to normal, but I suspect he will not be able to practice for another 6-8 months or a year.Donot get caught up in the practices of the misogynistic , deviant proactive of Dr. White. No one should have to put up with that abuse. I would give no stars ificould

Wow this doctor,and staff are the greatest.This doctor actually talks to you and cares,this was my first visit they treated me with respect and kindness lower back pain and bad knees, he is setting me up with injections for both,this doctor understands pain and he knows what to do.......... Dr. Bishai literally saved my life. He’s the most compassionate doctor I’ve ever met and unfortunately I have had to meet MANY due to long term medical struggles. I came to him butchered from multiple failed surgeries and near giving up on ever being better. He gave me hope and as a result I regained enough strength to press on and find answers and a specialized surgeon to fix what others had further damaged inside of me. Dr. Bishai took care of me (pain management and psychiatric) through numerous more surgeries and works in conjunction with my surgeon that specializes in my illness, to keep me well and maintain a good quality of life. My husband and daughter have me here today BECAUSE of Dr. Bishai. He’s an angel doing God’s work. He’s a compassionate physician and takes care of his patients with respect and a high degree of professional. The world is a better place thanks to this man and his team. My family will forever be grateful to him. He is second to none and I cannot imagine my journey without him in my corner. He’s helped tens of thousands of people! Dr Bishai is a very good physician. He has treated me for years. His conern for my pain and suffering is genuine. The staff is very friendly and their care for the patients is evident in treatment of the patients with respect. He was reccomend to me after my second back surgery by my surgeon. The treatments included prescription medications and injections or burning the nerves. I am so grateful for his treatment otherwise I wouldnt be able to function without extreme pain and anxiety. I have many medical problems that I will suffer from for the rest of my life. Thanks to him my life is more tolerable.

Dr. Bishai is a wonderful doctor that listens to your concerns and treats you like a person and not like a number. He genuinely cares about his patients. I highly recommend him.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Bishai’s for over a year now. He’s been thorough and I’ve ALWAYS been drug tested to make SURE the medications he prescribed are present. He was referred to me by my gynecologist because I have endometriosis and am not mentally or financially ready to have surgery. He has a great bedside manner and I have a hard time wrapping my mind around how anyone could accuse him of anything illegal, immoral or unethical!!

I would like to say Dr. Bishai is one of the best, caring, knowledgeable, professional Pain Doctor me and my family have ever encountered. I was suffering from a severe back pain and I went to a lot of doctors with no hope , finally I reached Dr Bishai clinic at first I would like to say that the office staff is exceptional and treat you with pure respect like family then I met Dr Bishai who gave me an injection in my back that comforts me since then until now . I highly recommend him and his exceptional staff. This doctor and his staff are extra ordinary and unique.

He’s no Dr. Bishai. Run away don’t even give it a thought. Pain is not a one size fit all ailment. Everyone is different. I think he slept through that course of study.

Dr Bishai and his staff are wonderful. I started seeing him for help after a failed back fusion and after a couple years of not being able to work. He helped me tremendously and showed me that their are other options for pain relief besides medication. I had Dr. Bishai install a Nevro nerve stimulator in my back which has reduced my pain enough to start working part time again. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Bishai has been the first doctor who has actually listened to my concerns and seemed genuinely interested. He has helped me so much with my pain and helping me to get back to somewhat of a normal functioning life. I respect him and support him through thick and thin.

Dr. Bishai is a caring and concerning Dr. One of the most compassionate Drs I’ve been to. He has never pushed me to take pain pills nor he has never written a script with a large quantity. He is very professional as well as his staff. He always has new ways to help treat pain without narcotics. So with that being said he is involved with learning new procedures that are available. I am devastated that he has been pulled into this situation. Everyone has 2 sides to a story. I also believe that it is a patients responsibility as well when taking narcotics. I am a very responsible adult and take mine to live a somewhat normal life. Im not addicted to them and if for some reason I ever become which I will not it will be on me. No one else’s fault. Im responsible for myself. You can not blame the alcohol at the store that you could buy if you became an alcoholic. I have several friends who see Dr. Bishai and they to have the same experience as I do. One of his patients referred me to him. He has volunteered to donate his services for a procedure that I would like to get but due to my insurance I cannot afford the actual nerve stimulator. He has told me several times if I could come up with the part for the stimulator he would donate his service. How many Drs do you know would do that. I don’t know any that would. I have heard other people say the same thing. I believe if he was just a pill pusher he would do not do those things. He would just write the script and send you on. He takes his time and listens. I hope you will listen to his patients and reconsider the situation. I agree there are a bunch of pill mills but he is not one of them.
