I was VERY nervous about my dental experience because I hadnt been in awhile and needed to get a tooth extracted. The young lady at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. The dental assistants were less warm than I would have expected, but very professional. Dr. Jayne was a mix of the two in terms of bedside manner. If you are an introvert, this office would be perfect. As an extrovert, it left a little something to be desired.In terms of the most important thing, the dental work, I have no complaints. My particular case gave them a bit of a challenge because of the condition of the tooth, but she and her assistant handled it well. I, miraculously, have felt zero pain since my procedure (3 days ago) and have no numbness. I have to give credit to Dr. Jayne and her team for a great job. After my procedure, we all even had a little laugh, which, as an extrovert, was very nice.

This dental office is conveniently located in an accessible. The lobby and office are hospitable and warm for both adults and with an waiting area children. The staff is welcoming and the check-in process is smooth both online and in person. I have had excellent professional procedures and services along with recent dental digital and tech practices. I also have recommended Dr. Jaynes office to several friends who have recently moved to the region.

My exam was smooth quick with the latest technologies and procedures and I was very pleased with my results and recommendations. The doc sits down with you in a consultation rm afterwards to review things that are good, bad and need attention. Very pleased with the service and staff was fantastic and knowledgeable. The office is clean, accommodating with pretzels and coffee, and uses top of the line, updated equipment. The atmosphere is relaxing. Dr. J is thorough and knowledgeable. She was great with my son! He had two teeth pulled. A day later, he says he has no pain. Thanks!

Ive had a lot of dental work done over the years and this is my favorite dentist. Ive had many procedures done here from tooth extraction to many crowns. Shes efficient and gets me in quickly. I also trust Dr. Jayne and am happy that she doesnt try to talk me into other dental work and not immediately needed procedures. I feel comfortable with her women staff as well.

Had my wisdom tooth pulled and all they gave me was ibuprofen. So I took the first and second dose with no relief. When I called up there to get something stronger she said that I needed to register something with the state of NC. I told her that was fine and that I was willing to do anything as my pain is unbearable, only for her to tell me that it could not be done for whatever reason. If you dont mind the pain of having a tooth pulled with no pain relief this is the place for you.In response to your reply, had you offer another option I would have probably taken it. When I called as well as in my initial review all I was asking for was something stronger; if you had something or anything stronger it should have been presented when I asked. THIS PAST WEEKEND WAS FULL OF PAIN. Because the dentist assumed I wanted narcotics.

Im a huge fan of Dr. Kalu and her staff. They are always polite and professional, and never waste my time. Exactly what everyone wants and needs in their medical staff. There are even toys for kids in the waiting area.The location is incredibly convenient.Theres plenty of parking available. When youre done with your appointment you can grab lunch literally right next door, or take few more steps and get groceries at Publix, get a haircut, or relax with some coffee.Highly recommend!

The front staff was amazing and helpful but one of the drs (not going to disclose names) need to work on their attitude and better provide their patients with information other than giving them little info just to get them out the office. I felt it was rude and unnecessary especially when dealing with a new patient as well someone new to the state of nc. Approach could of been better as well.Re: but when my mother was trying help the dentist better understand and also try to get her to better understand what was going on with my teeth she simply ignored my mother and only gave me but few details and left telling my I have inflammation is not saying “hey your wisdom teeth is infected” I had to basically keep asking her if it was and she kept dancing around answers. Again her attitude and how she acted was uncalled for I appreciated the discount etc. but when she sat there and was ignoring my mom and being rude y’all lost me

I was hesitant at first about the pains and complications that a root canal might contain, but through the whole procedure I was comfortable and relatively pain free. It was quick with an in house made crown that left me smiling within hours of leaving the office. A+

Let me tell you, New World Dentistry is amazing and Dr. Jayne is fantastic. About a year ago, I had to change my dentist, so I went to several different ones in the Concord/Kannapolis area, hoping to find someone I would be comfortable with. Some were okay, but New World is exceptional. It took a while, but when I met the staff and Dr. Jayne, my search was over. (thank Heavens). All my life, Ive had dental anxiety or dental phobia so its hard for me to find a dentist and staff that makes me comfortable. These people do; they make you feel right at home. So you can imagine how happy and relieved I was to finally find a place I really liked. From the first moment you walk in, the ladies at the reception desk are very friendly and welcoming. The facility is very clean, and modern and classy. Everyone in the office that I have encountered is very positive and you can tell that they are very passionate about what they do. I just had a dental procedure the other day and Dr. Jayne fixed me right up. I was extremely happy with my experience and the results. Very nice that I dont have to dread dental appointments or procedures anymore and I very much look forward to continuing as their patient.

I highly recommend you do not go here unless you want to waste half of your day at the dentists office. I made an appointment yesterday online (and noticed that they had a lot of empty slots so this already raised some flags, since I would think a good practice is in high demand). I filled out the online New Patient Registration form almost immediately after making my appointment, which required me to input my insurance information.The next day (which is today) I had my appointment at 10 AM and arrived about ten minutes early in case I had to fill out any additional forms. I WAS IN THE WAITING ROOM FOR 1.5 HOURS!!! Because I was a new patient, the office had to verify my insurance, which took about 30 minutes to do, (I dont understand why they didnt do this after I filled out my patient registration form yesterday but rather waited until I was there), so I have no idea what the rest of the hour long wait was for. I was the first patient of the day, and 2 other people went ahead of me. When I finally entered the back room I will say the dental assistant and the doctor were professional. However the whole process was quite lengthy and took an additional hour. Just when I thought it was all over, I was taken to the consult room to discuss future treatments with the doctor, and then check out with one of the front desk ladies. The kicker is I was able to write this whole review in the time I was waiting in that consult room... IN TOTAL I WAS IN THEIR OFFICE FOR 2 AND A HALF HOURS when I just went in for a cleaning. Im pretty angry at how much time I wasted and again recommend if you are a new patient, DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME.**This is an addition to my original post, since I would like to address the points brought up in the owners reply.**1. I provided insurance information online through the New Patient Registration the day I made my online appointment. I do not understand why insurance information could not have been taken from this document.2. I checked in at 9:50 AM for a 10:00 AM appointment. Even though you did verify my insurance then, I do not understand why I wasnt taken to the back until 11:20 AM.3. If you really cared about COVID 19 you would have required all patients and staff to wear masks in your office. I only saw 1 other patient with a mask, and the staff that had masks wore them around their neck. You also only measured my temperature until you were ready to take me to the back, which was AN HOUR AFTER I ARRIVED. What if I had had a fever? You would have left me sitting in your waiting room with other patients and staff, with no obligation to wear a mask for that time. To me that is quite negligent and irresponsible.

I was seen at New World Dentistry a little over a year ago as a new patient. I went in for preventative care(cleaning and X-rays). I was a little thrown off by the attitude of the person at the front desk when I walked in and that experience did not change when meeting the hygienist or the dentist. I was in and out in under 30 minutes, and I was told that I had seven cavities. As someone who brushes a little obsessively, I found this alarming and immediately reached out to the office to get my X-rays emailed or faxed to my previous dentist. After several phone calls and emails, I gave up on this. Clearly they did not want to release my X-rays to another dentist. This morning, I went back to my usual dentist. I ended up waiting a year since I used my yearly preventative care visit at New World Dentistry. I was told this morning that I do not have any cavities. When I told this dentist that I was told that I had seven over a year ago, she seemed baffled. She explained that some dentists are more aggressive with treatment, but she told me again that I have no cavities, not even anything that looked like something might be starting to form. Nothing on my X-rays and no sticky areas when she did the exam. I would not recommend New World Dentistry to anyone. If you go here and are told that you have multiple cavities, consider getting another opinion. Thankfully since everyone was so rude and seemed to just want to get me in and out as quickly as possible, I did not go back to have these so-called cavities filled. This definitely makes me wonder how many people have paid for fillings here when they too had no need for work to be done.

My son Tyshawn Upsher has been going here since he was 7 years old and he is 11 years old now and Dr. Jane and the rest of the staff are like family. It’s always a pleasure when we visit. I really like this dentist she went over my dental history and any current issue or problems I wanted to address. The exams were smooth and the dentist showed me all my pictures. The cleaning was quick, the dentist express that if I had any pain to let her know during the process, so she was very reassuring.

Went in for a cleaning and root canal everything was so easy to schedule and painless! I would highly recommend this dentist the staff was very nice.

BUYER BEWARE!First let me say I am not normally one to post reviews. However, with the lack of professionalism from the practice and the poor standard of care from the dentist that my daughter and I experienced I feel it is my duty to warn future patients.With that said let me start by saying something kind. The reception area is nice and it was not difficult to get an appointment.Our story – my daughter was a new patient and her first appointment was for a cleaning, which was very messy and not thorough (water on her face and clothes and took only 30 minutes). We spoke with the dentist regarding a dental plan to replace a current cap and put a veneer on another tooth that had been damaged. Not being a dentist and not knowing what to ask, I was depending on the expertise of the provider. The communication coming out of this practice is EXTREMELY POOR. The dentist did not explain the process and or manage expectations well, and only answered questions in yes and no responses. Looking back, we should have moved on to another practice at that point. It was a costly mistake for such important work. We were told that the work for the actual service - the temporary veneer and cap - would be a 2 hour appointment. The actual time was 5 HOURS! No apology or explanation for the lengthy appointment. The appointment was scary for my daughter and afterwards the veneer kept falling off (literally 8 – 10 times) before we could get back for the permanent.We did go for a second opinion before the permanent veneer and cap were placed and that dentist was concerned that too much enamel was taken off for the veneer to adhere and also advised that the scale of the temporaries were a bit off. But having already paid for the service with Dr. Kalu and utilized the entirety of our dental insurance, we decided to return for the permanent work. When that happened we were ok with the work – not elated but just ready for the process to be complete. In less than a week the permanent veneer came off and my daughter was over 2 hours away at school. I called after office closing time and left an emergency message for the dentist that her work was failing. We were not contacted until the next day – and only by an administrative person – and were told that they do not do emergencies. Again, that had not been communicated and there was NO APOLOGY. We went back to the dentist that gave a second opinion. He had to replace the veneer with a cap, as the original placed by Dr. Kalu had failed and the bite was wrong. I am now having to pay out of pocket to correct Dr. Kalu’s mistakes.This has been a VERY expensive lesson and I warn future patients to look elsewhere.

Very pleasant experience under the circumstances, they scheduled me the same day I called for two teeth to be surgically removed. Everyone was polite and extremely professional. I was informed of all my options and about the procedure that was performed. I followed all the instructions given by dentist Jayne so far I havent had any problems in my recovery process. I would highly recommend New World to anyone in need of care for their teeth.

This is a completely amazing experience in dentistry from the staff to the dentists. This place is state of the art and is cleaner than any medical facility that I have been in in this area. On top of the experiences they are reasonable and I have had some real work. I give them a 5 star in service because honestly they earned it.

I had not been to the dentist in many years and they did not make me feel bad about it. Their phrase was “it’s never too late to come back”. Which made me feel better. Xrays and photos were quick and easy. Cleaning was super quick! I got there early for paperwork and they were running late... everyone I came in contact with apologized for the wait and thanked me for my time. I thought that was nice! They also threw in a whitening kit for my wait!!! Definitely recommend!

I have major anxiety and dont like leaving the house and going to the dentist is never pleasant. I love this place. It was my first time going there. It was closest to my house and I had a toothache. The staff was kind and professional. The woman who took me back for xrays explained everything she was doing and even used a smaller mouth piece bc my jaw is messed up. Ive been to 2 other dentists that have torn my mouth up just doing xrays. The dentist was super awesome and explained the work I needed done plus what I needed to be doing at home. They explained the best treatment plan and also made sure I knew that I could chose to do it in whatever order I wanted or could afford. I wont go to any other dentist.

Only getting three starts because I guess she technically did her job. She was not very personable or friendly. I sat in the chair waiting, upon entering the room she barely made herself visible, did not introduce herself, did not ask me anything about my past history, nothing. (This was my first visit ever to this facility for a cleaning and check up.)The cleaning and exam were not so nice. I think many dental professionals forget they are shoving their fingers and bunch of tool in your mouth. It wasnt fun and they shoved this thing in your mouth that forces you to keep it open. I am not a child, I am an adult who is more than able to keep my mouth open.Then when we went over the findings of my exam she wasnt any friendlier. Just very did what she had to and said what she needed to. Just soooooooo not personable or friendly. Call me silly maybe, to some that might not matter so much, but It makes a difference to me.I am supposed to be trusting you with my medical care and feel comfortable talking to you about my needs or concerns. She didnt make this happen. She should spend more time improving her personal skills and less time on her fancy office.I really dont know if I want to give her another shot at my next 6 month check up.

I am not a fan of most dentist, but I have to say my visit at New World Dentistry was by far my best visit to a dentist. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They have all the state of the art equipment. Dr. Jayne was very nice and always asked how you were doing. Loved this dentist.

Although, the environment was good; the doctor was rough. She infected my whole lower jaw with the DENTAL utensil used which cause me extreme pain.

In and out, easy process and good experience. Going to the dentist is never fun, but they do their best to make it easier. Nice facility, nice people. The plan for each of us seemed reasonable, there was no pressure. We were given an outline of what needed to be done, nothing unnecessary.

I took my daughter for an emergency appt. I had never been here before so I was not sure what to expect but I must say I was pleased with everything that was done. The office is super clean and everyone was very nice. The dentist sat with us and gave us our options. She really helped my daughter and I would definitely recommend this dental practice.

The facility has the latest and greatest in technology and Dr. Jayne is wonderful. I broke a tooth and needed a crown. She was able to diagnose it, design the crown, and make it while I was waiting. The crown also came with a warranty.

Left me standing in the machine for several minutes before I got out and asked her what was up.3. Had a cleaning done. Never in my life has my hair gotten wet at a cleaning before... can’t say that now.4. Told the dentist my concerns...heard her on the phone with the receptionist... tell her to take out a loan or something.Found the whole thing VERY unprofessional. Would NOT recommend this establishment....

Initially I was VERY impressed with the layout of the office...VERY PROFESSIONAL and CLEAN. The ladies@the front very polite...but my experience with the dentist herself... AWFUL... very RUDE...I had a root canal and a parcel put in ALL in the same day. My numbing meds wore off before it was supposed to...and I stressed that VERY much...but she didnt care. VERY ROUGH. I paid $2000 cash...and yes my issue is fixed...but I will NEVER spend my $$$ there AGAIN...and nothing for pain to go home with..not even a prescription for Tylenol, Ibprofuen... NOTHING.

I found this relatively new facility to be very convenient in proximity to my home. I appreciated the tour that was given and was somewhat impressed by the modern x-ray machine used. The staff is very friendly, which meant a lot to me. I have been to this office twice and each time my anxiety level was decreased. I needed a new dentist QUICK as an old cap fell out. At New World Dentistry of Concord, 4995 Weddington Rd NW #40, Concord, NC .. They were able to take me in right away. I walked out with a new one withing hours...SAME DAY! It was great, THEY were GREAT!My husband liked them also.

Ive had the same dentist since I was 7 so having to find a new one was not fun. But Dr. Jane Kalu is an incredible dentist along with the rest of her staff. Now I am in the process of getting Fast Braces and couldnt be happier to be doing it through her!

One word to describe this office and the staff is WOW!! I have very high anxiety of going to the dentist to the point of where my blood pressure must be monitored. I think for most people who have a fear of the dentist one of the main turn offs is going into the office and it smells like the dentist office (you know what I mean). This office was NOTHING even close to that. It was almost as if I was going for a massage. Very tranquil environment, extremely modern, well above technology, just simply amazing. Dr Jayne is NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING...gentle, caring, funny, etc..shes everything!! GO TO THIS DENTIST..YOU WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER DENTIST.....

New World far surpassed my expectations from the initial phone call to make an appointment Nycole got me in immediately. To the actual office it is so nice and clean. I have never seen an office so modern. Donna was gentle with me. Dr. Jayne actually sat down with me she is so down to earth. Stewart also took his time with me and explained my out of pocket costs. I give the office 5 stars and highly recommend to anyone in search of a dentist!!!

I moved to the area 2 years ago and needed a dentist. I received an advertisement for New World Dentistry and decided to give them a try and made an appointment in December 2016. First appointment x-rays were done and a cleaning, the cleaning was very uncomfortable (worse Ive ever had done.) Dr. Jayne gave me a treatment plan but I decided not to go through with it at the time. Six months follow up was June 14th I was told that x-rays were needed again and I reminded them twice that x-rays were done in December. Dr. Jayne once again did the cleaning and it was VERY uncomfortable, Donna, the hygienist was very nice. At the time of checkout the treatment plan was again brought up and pushed aggressively, I explained that I was not interested in doing the plan the receptionist was noticeably not happy. I asked about making an appointment for six months and was told that since I did not want to follow Dr. Jaynes treatment plan that they could no longer see me as a patient. So I agree with an earlier review .....this practice is only interested in high price procedures and not interested in what the patient decides is best for them. The procedure they were trying to push would have been $1400 out of pocket for me. Be careful about going to New World Dentistry.
