I was suffering from spondylolisthesis for two years. I came across Dr Jain in an Johns Hopkins Wellness magazine article and made an appointment. Dr. Jain clearly explained the options available, including positive and negative outcomes so that I could make an educated decision. From that point on, Dr Jain has been outstanding in every respect. Surgery went flawless. I am now pain free and able to walk and stand, and return to a normal life. My post-op experience with Dr. Jain has continued to be a positive experience. I cannot express my gratitude enough to Dr Jain and the entire Hopkins staff.

I cant say enough good things about Dr. Jain and the JHU Orthopedic Surgery Department. After 10 months of excruciating pain in my back, butt, and leg due to spinal stenosis, Dr. Jain performed a spinal fusion on my spinal bone and L4, L5 vertebrae. I woke up pain free except for surgical pain. I spent 3 nights in the hospital and was very restricted in movements for 6 weeks but the restrictions were well-worth it to be pain free. I followed the post surgery directions 100%, started gentle PT after 6 weeks, and now after 3 months, I am active and can do everything I want, within reason. Dr. Jain is fantastic and really knows his patients needs and cares about them as individuals not cases. He and his staff are efficient and always available to answer questions or offer reassurance. My care was excellent during my hospital stay. I highly recommend Dr. Jain and the JHU Orthopedic Surgery Department. At age 74, I feel like I have a new lease on life, thanks to Dr. Jain.

He is an awesome surgeon, so if you are scared Please dont be, you are in good hands and I mean literally. I was very scared. I got an ACDF surgery done on my C4-C6. It was caught at the right time otherwise I would have been paralysed. Getting an MRI Done was a challenge too as I am severely clautrophobic too. He referred me some open MRI places and by Gods grace I somehow managed to get it done. I will be referring him to anyone and everyone.

Dr. Jain is AWESOME! My daughter is 6 months post op from her spinal fusion and she is doing great. I couldn’t imagine having any other surgeon. Dr. Jain is very polite and very knowledgeable about the condition (Scoliosis) my daughter has. Since surgery she has been pain free and is very active. She too is very happy that she has Dr. Jain as her surgeon and orthopedic specialist. Thank you so much Dr. Jain.

Doctor was quick, and short with the appointment, but I feel like he mostly covered everything. However, very important in todays world of late doctor appointments, he came in on time, and had actually reviewed my file beforehand.I have hope, that he is capable of managing my care sufficiently.

I just loved Dr Jain from the first time I met him. He really cares. He is an excellent surgeon who is the best for you. He repaired my neck with robotics and screws and plate and spacers. It’s perfectly healing. He was there at 5am for my surgery at 7:30. He took time for me. Answered all my questions. When I had a problem after surgery, he called me back to discuss and prescribe meds that helped me the very next day. I’m so thankful I went to Johns Hopkins for him as my doctor. No more pain in the neck and no more numbness in the arms. I cannot thank him enough. Johns Hopkins he is a keeper!

Dr Jain did my back surgery last month. I felt like he really listened to my concerns and made sure I knew about all of my options. We decided surgery was the necessary road to take. He is very friendly and did a great job on the surgery.

Dr. Jain is a fantastic professional. He was in charge of my case when I fractured my neck (C-2). I was very apprehensive because of the pain but he put me at ease and I felt assured he’d take good care of my neck. My ACDF surgery went beautifully and is healing well. I’m grateful for his knowledge, kindness and assistance. I recommend him completely.

After years of pain, numbness, and migraines I sought out Dr. Jains professional diagnosis. He quickly said it was a pinched disk and took x-rays and an MRI to confirm. After the MRI came back he briefed it to me and gave me three options with ACDF surgery being the best choice for fixing the disk. We scheduled the surgery for the next week at Johns Hopkins. It was a success with the pain and numbness completely gone directly after I awoke from the surgery. There was obviously pain from the surgery itself, but not what I was accustom to with the pinched disk that had been pressings on my spinal cord / nerves.Recovery was quick and Dr. Jain continues to monitor pain and the fusion of the disks and placement of the bracket. Hes extremely knowledgeable and personable and his staff is very professional.Thank you Dr. Jain and staff!

I am beyond thrilled with every aspect that was provided by Dr. Amit Jain and his team! Im 32 years old and had spine surgery (Lumbar Laminectomy Discectomy) performed by Dr. Jain in April. Im just 6 weeks post-surgery and Im amazed! I used to walk with a cane regularly, had severe difficulties with normal, daily tasks (sitting at work, lifting groceries, dressing, etc.), and couldnt drive for more than 20 minutes without having to pull over and get out of the car. The severe pain that was causing agony in my lower back has significantly decreased. The numbness and tingling down my entire right leg has now disappeared! Considering my age, Dr. Jain was cautious and conservative before ultimately deciding to perform the surgery. He sent me to get a CT-Guided Nerve Block (which helped, but only lasted about 2 days), a series of MRIs, X-Rays, etc. For about 10 years, Ive had 4 herniated lumbar discs with slight stenosis, in addition to having one of my herniated discs so far protruded, that it was permanently on my sciatic nerve. Its been 6 weeks since the surgery and I couldnt be more pleased with the results. Dr. Jain is a spine surgeon that truly CARES about his patients and their wellbeing. He looks at the situation from every angle to determine the route that has the best outcome for the PATIENT. He and his team are very responsive (his Sr. Medical Office Coordinator is probably one of the nicest people and does an incredible job handling all the paperwork). My personal message as a patient: if youre in doubt about finding/deciding on a surgeon, make an appointment with Dr. Jain. You wont be disappointed!
