Here is my story. I have always had horribly crooked teeth and finally when I had enough money to get braces I started with my Dentist who advised that my teeth could be corrected using a product called Clear Correct which is a brand or teeth straightening aligners like Invisalign. The process was supposed to only take 1 year; however, after 3 years and multiple corrections my teeth were still not straight. After the retirement of Dentist and acquisition of a new one I was referred to Dr. Wu of NuSmiles Orthodontics who told me the truth about my case. He said that I should have never been placed in teeth straightening aligners because I had a complicated jaw deformation. I was placed in traditional orthodontics and even had to go through jaw surgery to realign my upper jaw. Dr. Wu and his team took wonderful care of me, was very nice and professional. Dr. Wu referred to the best oral surgeon in Maryland and throughout the whole process I was out of my traditional orthodontics 3 months earlier than planned. I would refer Dr. Wu to anyone who needs orthodontics. I would also advise anyone seeking orthodontic treatment to always go to an orthodontist for an opinion instead of blindly trusting the opinion of a dentist.

My son started this journey a year and 7 months ago with Dr. Wu.Before moving into the area and meeting Dr. Wu I didn’t know the severity of my sons condition. I was told he would grow into his underbite and he’ll need braces but not soon. He’ll be fine. (That’s all I was told he had)I was referred to him by Columbia Pediatric Dentistry, and I’m glad I was. I found out there was more to his condition than what I was told initially.He showed concerned for my son, he also answered any questions I had when it came to my son. Even throughout the pandemic I felt my son was his top priority. Dr. Wu cares about his patients.The staff was also amazing, they were very gently with him, they let him know what they were going to do so he wasn’t surprised. They were also efficient with emails and appointment set up!!!I am pleased and shocked of the outcome of my sons mouth and teeth…. His teeth look amazing!!!! I can’t describe it lol…Thanks Dr. Wu!!!

I cannot recommend Dr. Wu or his staff enough. I had severely misaligned lower teeth, with one of my canines jutting forward and even cutting my lip. Correcting this required removal of one of my premolars, meaning that Dr. Wu and his staff had to not only straighten my teeth but also close a large gap in my smile. Throughout this process, Dr. Wu and his staff were kind, thoughtful, and informative. I always understood where we were in the process and what was coming next. Today, not only is my smile vastly improved, but it would be impossible for a casual observer to even notice I was missing a tooth. This has been a highly beneficial experience with a very rewarding outcome.

Dr.Wu is a great, extremely nice doctor who knows what he is doing! I completely trust in him for both my kids needs. I don’t think my sons teeth could get any straighter!! We’ve had such great results and I highly recommend Dr. Wu and his wonderful staff for everyone’s orthodontics needs.

I love it! The staff here is amazing and throughout my process, they told me everything I needed in order to be good-to-go. They made sure everything worked out for me. Even then, they would quickly respond if something needed to be tweaked in place or if a bracket came off. I’m so glad I went here to get my treatment, and it’s impossible to believe the process took 2 and a half years! I got my braces removed on Thursday (4/29) and was given a clear retainer the next, as I had hoped. My teeth are looking so good now and it’s hard for me to believe that I used to have such weird teeth. So glad I can start off my freshman year without an embarrassing picture.

Dr. Wu and his staff are wonderful, the environment is clean. Dr. Wu is very patient and caring for my two sons, and we can always get an appointment when we need one. I had the most unpleasant dental experience at NuSmiles w/ Dr. Wu. The facility is really nice and clean, however, the level of care that I received is subpar. So much as that I have to resort to legal action. As someone below mentioned, the facility is staffed with very young women, and on several occasions I experienced pain due to their lack of carefulness during our maintenance appointments. My end results of my braces were terrible. I asked Dr. Wu to provide some alternative options and he informed me that I should have another orthodontist fix the issues. Were about 60 days out and I STILL have the glue on my teeth from the braces with Dr. Wu. Dr. Wu was extremely negligent and must be held accountable. I normally dont like to write poor reviews, but I feel too strongly not to share my experience with others. Dr. Wu is a nice enough guy, but if you challenge him, be prepared to have your concerns dismissed.

Before i came here my teeth were all over the place. one of my teeth were stuck in my gums with no where to go and my teeth were all out of place. now my teeth are straight as can be. they give you everything you need for braces. all the instructions were very clear too! if my brother ever needs braces hes definitely going here!!

I’m finally done with my procedure and honestly it came out great. I always felt welcomed in this environment and everyone is nice. (Also they do amazing work of course)

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Wu for two year. We have had an excellent experience. Dr. Wu takes his time to explain the treatment clearly and answer any questions we have. Other offices we visited were like a mill - get ‘em in and out as fast as possible. This has not been the case with Dr Wu or his staff. He and his staff are friendly and professional. There were a couple of times that we had to reschedule our appointments and they responded quickly via email, and this has been a very convenient method for us. I also appreciate that this office is following the proper guidelines provided by the CDC to keep us all safe. My husband, our daughter and I have all been very happy with her results. I highly recommend this practice. Dr Wu, don’t sweat the haters. There will always be complainers. I think the huge numbers of grateful people below speaks for itself. Thank you Dr Wu!

We chose Dr. Wu from a list of recommended orthodontists from our pediatric dentist. So glad we chose him! He and his office staff are always very professional, courteous, and helpful. The office hours are flexible and we rarely have to wait very long in the waiting room. Since orthodontic work often requires lots of small adjustment and checkup visits, we definitely appreciate their efficiency in getting us in and out quickly during hours that are convenient for us. We also appreciate Dr. Wus kind and gentle attitude and his thorough explanations and patience with questions. And best of all, my childs smile looks great and his teeth are now coming in properly.

The office is modern and very welcoming for a new patient. Staff was friendly and helpful from beginning to the end of the appointment. I did NOT have a long wait time compared to other offices that I have visited. My appointment went smoothly and all my questions were answered. Dr. Wu was awesome at presenting all the possible options that would provide me the results I am looking for and did not pressure me into any particular option or treatment. The office is a distance away from where I live but definitely worth the drive for the quality of care that I will be receiving.

This orthodontist is the absolute worst. He has a bunch of very young women working for him doing a lot of the work and they often do not seem to know what they’re doing. My child’s brackets would always fall off very soon and it was not because he was eating a bunch of things he shouldn’t. He was diligent. Yet every time we would go there the doctor would berate us like we were children in a principles office. I would explain to him that and he was incredibly rude and even defensively aggressive in response. This man is a nightmare.

We have been going to Nusmile for about 18months now. The results in my daughters denture is impressive. At every turn Dr Wu took his time to carefully brief me of her condition, what hes doing and what results to expect. He never over promised but did over deliver. My pediatric dentist thought to send my younger daughter there too but upon consultation Dr Wu indicated its nothing to worry and his services would not be required there. He basically saved me $2500 ish just by being honest with us. He gets 5 stars for that.

Had a really hard treatment, but with the help of Dr. Eric Wu and his INCREDIBLE team and staff, I was able to get my smile back. Highly reccomend. They work quickly and efficiently, but they also take care to make you feel comfortable by greeting you with genuinely warm smiles, even if theyve had a hard day.After already having 3 years of braces, I was sick of them. Dr. Wu knew I was a blunt person and said, okay, so you have two options now. Comfort or speed? I said speed of course, and through speed bumps (spacers that kept me from putting teeth together), we were able to speed up my treatment. 😁

This doctor can be extremely rude... depending upon what kind of insurance you have and how much money you’re spending there, that is. I was so devastated to see my daughter leave with tears in her eyes because she felt very uncomfortable by how he was speaking, with such an aggressive tone, and she was in a vulnerable position with her teeth being worked on.

Dr. Wu was extremely competent and professional in his services. His bedside manner and personality made my 12 yr old feel very comfortable as he was kind and gentle. If your child needs braces, you won’t be disappointed with Dr. Wu! He gets an A+ from patient and mom!

We have been very happy with NuSmiles office. Dr. Wu is always very friendly and professional. There is no pressure to do the treatment. I absolutely love them, my daughter’s back bracket broke and i had emailed after hours and she was already scheduled for an appointment on a different day but they responded right away and gave me a appointment the next day. So i like the email system and i think its a great way to communicate.

NuSmiles Orthodontics is fun and positive environment. I started there with Dr. Wang and loved it. I didnt think that it could get better, but then Dr. Wu took over and finished my case. He is the most detail oriented doctor, dentist, or orthodontist Ive ever met! He made sure every single tooth was straight and in harmony with every other tooth and my smile and my face. He treated me with such care and he and his staff are always available to answer questions. In my experience there i was never nervous or scared to see the doctor. He was very gentle and great assistants. If there was one thing that i could remember about this office is how special they make you feel once your braces are off. they give you balloons, a care kit and so much more. I would recommend this office to anyone! :)

I am so happy with Dr. Wu and this office! Dr. Wu and his staff are always friendly and really take care of me...even though I switch colors on my braces way more often than I should!Dr. Wu is very friendly and approachable and his staff always make it a point to escort me back to the treatment area. It does get a little hectic around the late afternoon, but rarely are they ever behind schedule. Even so Dr. Wu will still spend to give a progress update, what was done today and what the next appointment will cover. Its such a rare sight to have an orthodontist thats friendly, approachable and willing to take the time to talk!Also, what was amazing was that I didnt have to get that nasty tasting impressions stuff. Dr. Wu has this state of the art digital scanner so I avoided that happily! I cant say enough about this office and Dr. Wu. Hes the best!!!

My son just finished his braces with Dr. Wu and I cant recommend this office enough. This is a wonderful positive environment to have your families orthodontic care completed. We shopped around a bit, but once we found Dr. Wu and his pleasant staff, we knew we were in the right place. They are accommodating, helpful, and as cheerful as the decor. From the minute we left our free consultation, I knew we would be using NuSmiles for my daughter’s orthodontic needs. Although, we had other consultations scheduled, I couldn’t imagine a more inviting office or friendlier doctor and staff. I was right! The convenient payment plan makes the expense of braces extremely manageable. My daughter got her braces on last week, and she was at ease with the experience and everything went smoothly. I just got my braces on today and I couldn’t be happier! My teeth are tender and sore, but I’m smiling more than I ever did before! My co-workers complimented me saying the braces themselves look good and even though my teeth aren’t straight, the braces look so neat and tidy! Dr. Wu is really amazing! You can tell that he really really cares about the treatment and making sure that you get a great result. Vanessa helped me with everything paperwork related and she gets me in accommodating my busy schedule. Joanna and Madison are so gentle with tightening the braces. I can’t say enough good things about this office! I am so happy!!!!

Absolutely enjoyed Dr. Wus services.I went last week Friday, both him and Vanessa were able to assist and walk me through the process in a very understanding way.The facility is very modern and the staff amazingly friendly which makes anyone comfortable especially when its at the dentist! Being comfortable is key and I must say that I definitely felt at home here.Cant wait for the overall results of my braces, will definitely leave a review in 9 months.

Dr. Wang is great. She & her staff are very friendly. The office is new & bright &wonderful for kids & teens. Incentive program is fun. Prices were a lot less than other offices & we got better service & more comprehensive package. I highly recommend her

I scheduled a free consultation with Dr. Wu for braces and he explained everything to me in amazing detail and the timeline for treatments. He even offered Invisalign for me, which I had never heard of. The treatment cost was very reasonable and I ended up hiring Dr. Wu to help me obtain a perfect smile. As an adult I wasnt looking forward to braces and the fact that Dr. Wu knew this and offered to straighten my teeth without them was perfect! Dr. Wu and his staff went above and beyond to help me get there!!! The office always made me feel welcome and made every effort to accommodate my work schedule. I wish I could give this review 100 stars. Dr. Wu and his staff are top notch. This is the place for getting a beautiful smile and perfect results!

This office has the best orthodontist in the Columbia area. Dr. Wu is young, but you can just tell his level of competency and attention to detail is out of this world. His blend of professionalism and friendliness is one of a kind and the assistants work is beyond what anyone expects to receive. Terrible system, the only way you can schedule with them is through email, emailing back and forth 5 times to set a date is a terrible way to do it. Why can’t you do phone system like everyone else?

I am extremely satisfied with Dr. Wus service and honesty! I had been visiting his office for some time now, but I am in the military and got transferred to another base. He came up with a plan where I could continue my Invisalign treatment with update checks when I visited my family back in Maryland. He and his staff were beyond helpful in scheduling and I finished with an amazing smile! And despite the commuting and extraordinary circumstances, I finished on time! Dr. Wu is a man with a plan and I trust nobody else with my teeth. His entire staff is friendly and his office is top notch and clean as a whistle! I look forward to using him in the future with my kids when Im back in MD!
