This was my first vision appointment since I was 7. I called before hand and someone took down all of my concerns. One of the issues I’ve been experiencing on and off for 15 years and no one prior to Dr. Park was able to tell me anything and pinned it on my anxiety disorder. I arrived extremely nervous however witnessing the staff interact so positively with one another put me at ease. I expressed my fears due to having anxiety. Dr. Park and her staff were absolutely amazing. They literally addressed everything that I was concerned about while showing a genuine level of care. This is not the type of service you find anywhere. After almost 15 years I finally know what’s going on with my eyes and that alone is priceless. I’ll happily be a patient here for years to come. Growing up as a military brat, we moved a lot and I have had many different optometrists. Ive never had a regular optometrist since we moved regularly and I finally have one now! I have been going to Dr. Dorothy Park & Associates for over 10 years now and I can honestly say that the folks over in Dr. Parks office are some of the most personable and caring professionals Ive had the pleasure of doing business with. Arrived at this location after being referred by insurance company. Only to be told that they’re not accepting new patients for glass replacements. Sales person prior wasTelling someone at the front desk that he didn’t know how to bill VSP insurance. He made up a story that they’re not taking new patients. Wasted my time and gas driving here but I will tell VSP to remove them from the list of premier providers. Went to Devine Eye Care and received great service.

Dr. Dorothy Park has gone above and beyond in her treatment for myself and for my mother. Her compassion and disposition are unlike any other optometrist we have ever been to. My mother and I both love and appreciate Dr. Park and would highly recommend her to anyone.

The guy Steve who does the glasses is VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.He has no patience and his customer service is very POOR.I refuse to let ANYONE disrespect my service or hard warned money that i spend at someone business.I love the rest of the staff they rock.Always polite and treat you with respect.Dr.Parks is WONDERFUL I luv her been coming here since high school.I would hate to stop coming because of 1bad apple.But I will if I experience what I did today from Mr.Steve nasty RUDENESS!!!

Hands down the best opthamology visit Ive had. I took a rambunctious 2 year old and they worked very carefully with him and didnt expect him to do major things. Dr. Park was very thorough with explaining exactly what was going on and how my childs vision is. All of the staff was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this office.

Going to Dr. Dottie Park was the best thing I ever did for my eyes since being Med-evac’d from Vietnam and living thru years of residual complications. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and thoughtful to both me and my wife. Their evaluation process began within five minutes of our arrival. Dr. Park immediately established a caring atmosphere and conducted a detailed, yet personable medical assessment of not only the clinical aspects, but also dug to determine the resultant life-impacts of my condition (removal of one eye and tenuous tunnel vision in the remaining eye). Additionally, Dr. Park took the time to personally call me as a follow-up. Dr. Park has my total, absolute confidence. With thanks and appreciation I recommend Dr. Park and her wonderful staff to everyone.

Dr. Park is amazing! I can’t recommend her highly enough. I had seen two other eye doctors and neither one was listening to me about my issue, I only talked to Dr. Park for a couple of minutes before noticing how different she was. After struggling with double vision for years, she actually listened and then helped me.Also the glasses and lenses are very reasonably priced and I’m kicking myself for going to LensCrafters for years.

Dr. Dorothy (Dottie) Park and associates are the absolute best! I am always greeted and treated with the utmost respect and personal interest. You get the best of the best here.More recently, I had an emergency on Christmas day. Dr. Park called me personally within minutes and handled the situation.Dr. Park even called me the following day to check in on things. (talk about bedside manners) Dr Park is #1.

My most recent experience with Dr. Parks office is extremely disappointing!! Most unprofessional encounter dealing with a specific staff person who chose to recant the conversation of his promise to provide expedite replacement glasses for my son.

Dr. Parks is a fine doctor, but the administrative staff are not organized or professional. Be sure to get an itemized receipt upon rendering any payment. I was harassed by their billing department for a balance they could not explain a year and half after my appointment. I paid the balance, but they could not explain why I was being billed after I had been told in the past that my appointment had been paid in full. I cannot recommend this practice based on my experience...

Cant say enough how disappointed I am! What I thought was a friendly helpful staff was instead playing me for the fool. Got a new pair of glasses (special ordered for a difficult rx). When I first put them on I thought it was a bit blurry and was told, try them in the morning. So I did and was fine, a bit blurry, but I thought I was adjusting. It never went away, tried on my old pair and suddenly saw MUCH better.Id BEG you to consider giving money to literally anyone before going here. Im terribly embarrassed I allowed myself to be swindled.

I have been coming here for over 2 years after going to multiple eye doctors, and not one person could explain why I had no vision in my right eye. Mrs.Park was the only one who gave me a reason as of what happened to my vision. I now have the ability to see out of my left eye by being prescribed glasses that allows me to see and for that I am forever grateful and forever a patient here.

This is one of the best appointments i have ever attend in my years of living . The staff was very professional, courteous and entertaining . They made me feel relaxed and welcomed . DR Dorothy Park herself is a very sweet and attentive lady . She explained to me everything that was going on with my eyes . I highly recommend if you want quality eye care to the highest degree DR Park and associates is where its at . I love this office !!

This doctors care is literally THE BEST IN COLUMBIA. I have a rare disease and I have not had one flare my entire experience here, the options for the frames are AMAZING very affordable designer frames. I love the guy that helped me pick me pick them he took his time to see which shape would best fit my face. my care physician was amazing the ENTIRE STAFF is so sweet and so kind. my daughter will be going here once shes of age.

I had a very weird time here. Word to the wise, this office is targeted to a specific age bracket, and is a bit of a time capsule. Frankly, it was downright Lynchian.If youre looking for top shelf optometry, I would recommend going elsewhere. Dr. Park seems like a nice person , but she pushed me to get add-ons that I firmly did not want. Her reception staff was professional and polite, but the dude selling glasses made me uncomfortable on multiple occasions. I did not feel like he was interested in my happiness, only getting me in and out.If admin wants to improve patient experience, I would recommend updating the office, offering more unique + stylish frame brands, and getting a salesperson under the age of 40 with a decent sense of style.

I would leave Dr. Park 10 stars if I could! Ive been experiencing excruciating migraines that result in dizziness and vomiting for the past few months and after visiting numerous optometrists, with little to no relief, I was extremely lucky to finally find Dr. Park! I can not say enough good things about Dr. Park. I highly recommend giving her a visit for your vision needs!The only negative I experienced was the guy that works in the frame department. He was complaining about customers coming in and not wanting to take them because he was going to lunch. I could tell that he wasnt there to truly assist, instead he wanted to get me in and get me out.

Dr. Park made me feel like I was her most important patient. This was my first visit to her office. She spent more time with me than expected and I cant recommend her enough.

This place was amazing! I called them last minute because I had an eye infection and they squeezed me in the next day. When I got there they were really busy but I was still only there for an hour, new patient and all. The staff was kind and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Park is a true professional, told me what was wrong quickly, and even gave me some coupons so I could get my medicine cheaper. So happy I went here!

Dr. Park is really nice, however I was unhappy with the man that sold me the glasses. I have really bad eye sight and I wear contacts and glasses regularly, I switch between both everyday. Dr Park and most of the staff is helpful and try to do the best to make sure you can see well. However the man that sells glasses, dont know if he is a doctor or not, he acts like a sales person. Does not seem to understand that a person with such high prescription cares about more than how the glasses look. Every time I mentioned how I felt uncomfortable he came up with an excuse instead of trying to understand and address the issue. He stressed me out because he refused to listen. Thankfully the other staff was nice and understanding. I am not sure if I would recommend buying glasses here, as someone with such vision issues I think I will try a different place next time to see if I feel more comfortable for buying glasses.Also in case he reads this, because he said ive been an optometrist for 20 years, you might have 20 years of experience, but you are not the only one. I wore glasses for 20 years starting when i was 6 or 7. So I would have appreciated it if you could have respected my opinion about my own vision as well.

I wish I had found Dr.Park years ago. I am so excited to be seeing clearly again! The office staff is amazing at calming anxious nerves, and so helpful! I was not just a random person to them, they really took time to hear what I was saying, and did a very detailed exam! I look forward to bringing in my children and husband too! After having a minor accident involving one of my eyes, I was referred to Dr. Park by a Co-worker. To my surprise, Dr. Parks office was able to schedule me as a last minute Walk-in. Not only was my visit with Dr. Park and her assistant (Marissa) the most inviting and pleasant experience, I knew right there and then Id finally found the perfect optometrist for me and my family. It took me 12 years to find her but Im SO glad I did!! She is very thorough, she takes time with her patients and she listens her patients! I had a special circumstance and she was extremely accommodating! Not to mention shes personality plus, and super pleasant to be around. The staff were exactly the same way, super friendly, helpful, and made the visit a very pleasant experience. Dr. Park and her team did an excellent job. The eye exam was thorough and all problems and treatment options were discussed in detail. The office staff is friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. Someone actually answers the phone, and is able to schedule a appointment that is within a reasonable time. I highly recommend this practice.

Today was my first visit as a new patient due to my old provider closing down and I must say it was one of the best transitions for my eye health. The office was clean, organized, great customer service from the staff, and very knowledgeable doctor. The doctor took her time with me during my appointment and addressed all my needs in reference to my eye health. If anyone is looking for a good eye doctor I highly recommend Dr. Park without hesitation!

After calling another local eye doctor and having a terrible customer service experience with their receptionist, I called Dr. Dorothy Park & Associates and was able to get an appointment that same day. They answered the phone quickly and were very friendly and professional. I was able to be seen quickly and waited almost no time. I had never had an eye exam before so I was nervous, but Dr. Park was very friendly and kind and made me feel comfortable. I will be returning and I would refer them to anyone!

Ive been going to Dr. Park for the last 3 years after a bad experience at another eye doctor in Columbia. I originally picked this office because they had super convenient hours - open until 7 several days a week! The office is well loved, but Ill take good people who treat me well over a shiny new office any day! I love how Dr. Park always explains to me what she is looking for/at when she is looking at my eyes, she always describes what she sees. I have never had a negative experience there! They have a great selection of frames for glasses with a range of prices. On my last visit they had a glasses special where my lenses were covered if I purchased frames - so I could still use my insurance for contact lenses!

Dr. Park is very thorough and attentive, making sure I got the best correction for my needs and the most comfortable lenses. Her sense of humor made the process even more pleasant. We encountered an issue with ordering my frames and a question about insurance payment but her staff handled all aspects of my care with the same proficiency and integrity, assuring that I was satisfied.

After my first experience going here, I will not go anywhere else. The staff was friendly- they were even chipper at 8:00 in the morning! They were all very personable people that had my best interest in mind, including Dr. Park. I could tell they all cared that I got the best treatment I could. Tiffany and Koty were extremely helpful and genuine. Dr. Park made me feel at ease and like we have been friends for years during my eye examination. I highly recommend! I had a Great experience at this office, from start to finish. The staff and Dr. Park was very personable, knowledgeable, and made me feel very comfortable with my eye consultation.

I remember the scariest moment in my life is when I lost my eye sight in my right eye. I had called all around and no one would see me. I saw the Doctor that day. She was caring and the staff was amazing on how they handle me being afraid and in pain. Every Tuesday I saw her and she even called herself to see how I was holding up. Over time my eye became strong again and I will never forget her and the staff. And she is still my favorite Doctor..

Had to go to Parks & Associates because it felt like something was in my eye. I had a great experience with Dr. Berry and later with Dr. Park. Dr. Berry was really nice and was even concerned that the medicine that I needed was pricey. He and the staff even called around to make sure I had gotten the best price. Great customer service with a personal touch. I would highly recommend them.

I had a wide variety of issues with this practice and overall would not recommend. It took 2.5 hours to get through. I tried to confirm pricing and that I only wanted glasses done over the phone when scheduling the appointment and at registration to make sure we only did glasses. Not sure what happened, but they decided they wanted to do both still and charged me for both. Also, I had to wait 25 minutes in a single file line in chairs down a hallway to make my payment. I said I would only pay my glasses prescription and thought it was settled that way, but they decided to bill my insurance for both anyways. So they billed my insurance without ever giving me a contact prescription. At this point, I was so annoyed with them and wanted the whole ordeal over, so I just asked them give me my prescription if they were charging me the full amount anyways. It took 3 -4 phone calls over multiple days to finally get my prescription from them. I said I wanted the same brand of contacts I have been wearing, but they prescribed me a new brand anyways and said that my old brand was discontinued. Come to find out it was not. When I called again (and again), they would not re-write the exact same prescription with my old brand and said I would have to come in and pay for another visit. So, I decided to go elsewhere, because I had enough at this point. I ended up having to pay that SAME exact contact fee to get someone else to rewrite. A waste of time and money for me. Also, the building feels dusty and grimy when you walk in and the glasses clerk was low key rude.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Parks for many years now. Shes very friendly. As she administers the eye exam she explains to you what shes doing and what shes looking for. Her staff is great and always accommodates my schedule.

I can not say enough about Dr. Park and her staff. Steve is hilarious and very helpful I love his sense of humor , and all of the Staff go out of their way to help you and know who you are the minute you walk in the door. I highly recommend Dr. Park.

I am so happy that I chose to try Dr. Park and her office. Everyone was so accommodating and I helpful. Dr. Park was very thorough and answered all my questions (and I had a lot!). I finally found a home for my eyes!

I had such a pleasant experience with Dr. Park and her staff! I requested an appointment online and received an email with availabilities no later than the next morning. I went in never having any issues with my eyesight, but noticing some blurriness while reading or working on my computer, as well as headaches. Dr. Park was kind and helpful, listened to my concerns, and ran several tests until she figured out my issue. I needed reading glasses! Additionally, she very well could have said I needed to purchase a new pair of glasses through her office which may have cost me over $100 at least but instead she just wrote the strength down that I needed on a piece of paper and told me to go to the Dollar Store around the corner and save some money! She then said that if I notice them helping and I find myself wearing them often to then come back into the office (no appointment necessary) and order a nicer pair from the office with my insurance. You rarely find doctors trying to save you money the way Dr. Park did. In addition, my headaches are completely gone and Im able to focus on whatever Im reading or working on! I highly recommend Dr. Park and her staff to anyone looking for a friendly, attentive, and helpful eye doctor.

My wife just got back from an appointment. It took from 9AM until almost 11AM.To be fair the doctor was nice and professional and explained what she was doing BUT her appointment messed up some other stuff we had going on that day due to the very long wait, exam and beginning to order some lenses.My wife was also frustrated because she tried to mention that she only needed an exam for an eyeglasses prescription (I also mentioned this on the phone when we set up the appointment) and at the end of the appointment the doctor issued a contacts and eyeglasses prescription which cost us more than double what it would have been for just the eyeglasses. Im sure it was an innocent mistake but it was very frustrating and if more reviews show similar complaints then it may be a systemic issue instead of an outlying issue.Good doctor and care but it was a very long process and misunderstanding/mistake with what service my wife requested.

I have been a patient here for the last 8 years and I REFUSE to go anywhere else for my eye care. Not only have I always received the best prices on my contact lenses and exclusive Harley Davidson glasses, but the staff go above and beyond to help. Dr. Park helped me during a tough time in my life and I really needed eye care; she did NOT turn me away. Tiffany and Codi have been integral parts of the practice, as well. They have ALWAYS gone beyond the call of duty to assist me; Tiffany has even inserted my contacts for me multiple days when I was a new contact lens wearer and could not do it myself! I dont feel like a patient there, because there is a family atmosphere in the office! I am a permanent member of Dr. Dorothy Park and Associate family.

My girlfriend received an injury to her eye one evening. We are from out of town and were visiting my mother in Columbia. We didnt know who to call, but a quick online search led us to Dr. Park. She answered the phone after business hours, told us to come in, and got us situated. She stayed 2 hours after her normal close time to cater to my girlfriends eye.She is an passionate doctor with a great heart and sense of humor. The staff is very welcoming and professional. You wont be disappointed. Highly recommended.

Friendly, helpful, professional.I have dry eyes and dislike prescription meds because they burn my eyes. Dr. Park and her associate, Dr. Berry, corrected my problem in one day. Amazing and so much more comfortable!Never going to another office again!

Dr. Park is very professional and knowledgeable. Staff are pretty knowledgeable and very nice also.

Dr. Park was very impersonal and rushed. I did not feel that she took the proper amount of time. During standard procedure of asking me which lense helped me see clearer, she would interrupt and answer for me before I could tell her if the particular lense was better or worse. She assumed my answers before I was able to tell her and she was often wrong in her assumption. She made eye contact with me once the entire time. I told her my contacts were still useable yet she threw them in the trash without my permission. The office is incredibly dated and felt dirty. There was an inappropriate image hanging in the billing office. Overall very unprofessional from start to finish.

Dr Dorothy Park is a great Dr. She gave a very detailed exam and did great at fitting contacts and gave me serval options. Steve did eonderful at picking out amazing frames for me!
