DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE! Potential employees: BEWARE TOXIC WORK ENVIRONMENT! I was a former employee of Nora Stewart ELC for 2 years and the things I witnessed were worthy of calling the state department. The administration is terrible and the most unprofessional people I have ever worked for.Cons:- High employee turnover rate (most dont last longer than 3 months)- constantly out of ratio- they dont prioritize cleaning- unprofessional/inappropriate conversations are had around children (especially during nap time)- Unsafe playground time (smaller kids often play on playground intended for older kids while teachers sit on their phones)- I was told upon hiring that there was a strict curriculum to be followed, and I never received said curriculum in my 2 years of working there- More like a daycare than an early learning center as the teachers do not follow any sort of curriculum to map student progress- The infant room is overseen by an older employee who is constantly screaming at the babies, leaves them in a play pin for hours, and is constantly hostile to them and other employees- drama between employees is always circulating around the center with administration often being involved in gossip- Administration is more concerned about money/keeping the center afloat financially than the quality of learning/work environment, as she would often enroll new kids when there werent enough staff to stay in ratio themPros:- There are 1-2 teachers every now and then that truly care about the kids and their learning journeys- The kids are wonderful- They offer community resources like parenting classes, etc if you inquire about them
