I would highly recommend Kilgores Respiratory Services in Columbia Missouri. Their employee Abby was incredibly helpful in coordinating with my insurance company to help me get a new CPAP machine when mine broke while traveling. She was very professional and was able to provide relevant guidance during a very stressful situation. The staff at Kilgores Respiratory Services are incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and truly care about their clients. Again, I would highly recommend them!

I have visited Kilgores Respiratory Columbia store and Mexico store to get supplies and a CPAP for my father. They always had what we needed, the turn around was very quick, and some of the nicest people working there I have ever met. They also had a high quality pillow there that my father liked using. I can easily recommend them for Respiratory services.

We were traveling through Columbia to Omaha. We got to our hotel and settled in around 9:00 that night. As I was getting ready for bed, I realized I had left my power cord to my Trilogy machine at home in Mississippi. I knew I would not sleep well at all that night and would be miserably tired the next day. Of course it was too late to even try to find one.I spent that night trying to find a comfortable position I could sleep in and still breathe. The next morning I started calling medical supply places. The first one told me I wasn’t a patient of theirs so they couldn’t just sell me a power cord. The second place I called told me they couldn’t break up a machine by selling me just the power cord. My third call was to Kilgore’s. They were so very friendly and helpful.Abby, the sweet young lady I spoke with, went and checked and told me that had one they could sell me for $10. Wow! I was beyond thrilled. She told me she would meet me at the front door. And she did!! She is a wonderful person and definitely an asset to Kilgore’s. Thanks to her, our vacation was not ruined and I was able to rest that night. I definitely recommend Kilgore’s to anyone who needs medical supplies!Sincerely,Beth James

My husband has worked with the staff for 3 days, working through his breathing needs. Today we were able to get into the office and we cant share how supportive everyone we have worked with had been. Dee and Kayla, have been very professional and cooperative. We encourage anyone needing respiratory service to use them.

I just picked-up my auto CPAP today, as recommended by my PCP.My first impressions:- The lady over the phone (Kayla) was very friendly and guided me accurately about what to expect from insurance.- The lady who showed me the basics about using the device was also very kind and patient and gave helpful tips. Clearly they are a generous business as she threw in some extra accessories free of charge, which is really neat.Overall it was a great first impression, looking forward having this team overlook my therapy along with my PCP.

I normally don’t post reviews but I felt this was warranted. This place is beyond exceptional, I tried Linecare, Apria and neither matched the service, help, courtesy I received. I first spoke with Brittany, she explained in great detail all the insurance confusion and a man at my age I was a little confused asked her to send me a detailed email in which she did PROMPTLY! My wife then called and she then explained again. She made sure we left knowing every bit of info we needed and wanted to know. She was one of the sweetest, nicest people I have spoken to at a professional business to date. I even tried to tip her at pick up in which she declined politely. I have also spoken to a lady named Kayla when Brittany was on another call, she too was exceptional. Please use them for all your Respiratory care/needs. I will forever refer everyone here due to the amazing care I received. Great Job Kilgores!

I must say I tried using another CPAP place and it was taking forever (3 weeks), one call to Kilgores and I had my CPAP in one day. They are quick, nice, and the equipment works great!I can’t say enough about how good they are!! I won’t and wouldn’t suggest anyone to go anywhere else.

Watch out! I have had multiple issues with this company. The first day I came in to get my equipment and fittings they had the wrong chart and gave me the wrong information. I sat there for over an hour listening about a machine for another person. I was told that my sleep apnoea is mild. At then end of the session they gave me papers to sign and it was then I had to tell them that the name on it was not mine. So they had to go get the correct chart, and now tell me that I have moderate sleep apnea and have to get a different machine and start from the beginning. Im sure there was a HIPAA violation there since they provided me with the other persons medical chart and her diagnosis. The next issue I had was I called to see if I was eligible for some equipment thru my insurance and they said I was and told me the amount would be less than $40. I get the equipment and month later see I was charged $186 for it. I called and found out my insurance didnt pay for it so they charged me full price. They did not call me, they did not give me the option to make the decision if I wanted the equipment still or wait until insurance would pay. I felt this was very sneaky and dishomest. So I called them up and spoke to billing. They said they could credit me part of it back, until I asked if it was their policy to not call customers if ins wont pay? At that point they credited me back the entire amount. I then told them they were no longer authorized to take money out of my checking account. They stated they took me off auto pay and there would no longer be any money deducted from my bank. Next month rolls in and I see they took out money again. I call and the first lady stated she shows Im no longer on auto pay. Then transfers me to the next lady. This lady asks if Im sure I got the right business and not confusing them with Kilgores pharmacy? I began to get upset and she tells me to calm down! Um idk who taught you how to run a billing department, or any business, but you never tell someone to calm down. You can ask them or you can say you understand their frustration, want to help them, but are having a difficult time understanding because the person sounds so upset...etc! Anyways she tried to tell me it wasnt them, but she would get a 2nd pair of eyes to look into it. She calls me back and said her coworker pointed out that the amount taken from my account was the last of my billing arrangement, which was $4.98. I then said to her that they were not authorized to take any more money after last month. She proceeds to tell me arguing over $4.98 is a waiste of her time. Now Im getting really pist because it shouldnt matter if it is $1 or $1000. They were not authorized to take it. She tells me that she doesnt know who in her dept gave the go ahead to do it, but it doesnt matter because it was the last bit on my account and needed to be paid and hung up. Never will I ever do business with them again or refer anyone to them. They are dishonest, sneaky, and dont have the customers best interest!!

Staff is always friendly and helpful. I ALWAYS get to speak with someone when I call with minimal wait time. They are quick and efficient with getting equipment and supplies to me as well, and VERY patient with my mask fitting issues. I am so glad to have such am amazing place to help make this process as easy and comfortable as possible!

Great experience. Because of an upcoming surgery they worked hard to get me in quickly for my mask fitting. Tia took care of me and did a great job and another employee was great when I needed to try another mask. The people have talked to on the phone have been very caring and knowledgable.

Stay away from this business! Youre better off going through the university hospital and ordering your respiratory devices online!So my experience with them is as follows. I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and I ended up purchasing my cpap machine online, since my insurance didnt cover it. I needed to purchase a mask for the machine so I went to Kilgores after calling up there and verifying they sold masks. I also asked about needing a Rx for purchasing the mask and I was told I didnt need one since I was not using insurance. However, my Dr did send the Rx over because initially I was going to buy the cpap from them.So I walk into the store and the elderly lady at the counter asked if I needed any help. I told her that I was needing to purchase a mask. Now here is where it went down hill... she did a kind of eye roll and in a very condescending tone says Okay, are you a patient here, in our system?I explain that I was not a patient of theirs but I was just wanting to purchase a cpap mask. The next thing out of her mouth with the same condescending tone was Oh, you need to have an Rx for that, sorry. I stated that I had called up the other day and asked about this and was told I didnt need one. She then asks me what machine I have. I tell her the ResMed S10. Then she asks what mask. I tell her I dont have a mask. She again asks me what I have and I tell her I have the ResMed S10 machine. Then, still with her condescending attitude, she say Okay, thats the machine, honey. Im like yeah I know which is why Im asking to buy a mask. She then says Okay, well you didnt say that... At this time I was thoroughly annoyed and had no tolerance for her bad attitude. I had just gotten off work and was gonna have to fight traffic on the way home. I say, yes I did actually tell you that I only have the machine and I need to buy a mask.So at this point I then said you know what, theres another location in town that sells the masks, Ill spend my money elsewhere. Queue more condescending talk from her that I didnt really hear as I made my way to the door.What an experience! You get better service from that fast food place with the clown, and they barely make over minimum wage. You would expect a lot more from a medical facility. I will never ever shop there in the future and I will tell everyone I can to stay away from this business at all costs. When customers are investing the amount of money it costs for cpap supplies, this type of attitude and service is uncalled for.

Had a very bad week going, CPAP quit working so I couldnt sleep for 3 nights. Had a little issue with getting a new CPAP machine, Kelly (Owner) got on the phone, listened to me rant & rave, very professional & understandingly listened to everything I had to say, then went out of her way to accommodate me in all my grumpy attitude. She was so nice and understanding in person too! Cant thank her enough, wonderful place, long time customer, reaffirmed me as a continued customer! Thank you Kelly!!

Great people and great service but had to give only 3 stars because your business hours are not convenient for the working person. Need to have some weekend hours or at least a couple days where you stay open until at least 6pm.

I was sent to Kilgore’s by the staff at my PCP. I explained to the Kilgore’s staff that I had a job that required lots of travel and I would need a CPAP that would accommodate that situation. I arrived and was shown a large non-travel CPAP and was told that was my only choice. The staff member that I was meeting made some other rude comments before I stood up to leave. I asked to see the office manager and was kept waiting for 10 minutes. While waiting, other staff members were helpful in showing me the travel CPAP options that I should have been shown upon arrival. At the 10 minute mark I decided to take my business elsewhere. The following week the office manager called to tell me what an aweful person I am and that the owner would contact me about the visit. I’m still waiting for the call.
