Had a good workout. I think the massage chair did me in. One of those hurt so good deals lol. This morning I feel like I was hit by a truck. Once I get moving Ill be ready to do it again minus the chair.

A place where everyone is welcomed. They are very prompt about wearing masks throughout the gym and sanitize equipment. And it’s open 24 hours

When is management going to change this back to a 24/7 gym?????? When I joined this planet fitness this was a 24/7 gym. Then covid happened and management changed the hours, well now the lock downs are over and everyone is back to work. When I questioned staff about this, they told me to go to the Two Notch location because they changed their hours back to 24/7 and that they could not find anyone to work on the weekends. This is absolutely ridiculous. I will be looking to find a new gym in the future unless this is resolved.

If you make more than a peep putting your weights down youll hear about it. They dont want you confusing this place for a gym. I signed up with Muv, an actual gym.

My second time back since the pandemic. Been working out at home but glad to get back in the gym. Felt comfortable. They do a good job of the social distancing of the equipment and people know to stay away from each other. Ill always consider this my home gym, as its closest and most familiar to me and has a perfectly equipped gym with stretching area. My only drawback is that its kind of unfair for non black card members that can ONLY use this gym, as it is the first in Columbia and therefore alot smaller and does not have a spa or functional fitness area. The staff is awesome, but if they revamped the spa even a little it would make a huge difference. One malfunctioning hydro flat bed compared to the Cayce locations 4-5 recliners is pretty unfair to those on a budget that cant splurge on the black card like myself.

Just joined and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Great staff, tons of machine and weight options, and really cool special features like hydro massage and tanning rooms!! I highly recommend this gym for anyone beginner to expert.

The trainer was very polite and friendly. Made us feel comfortable and was very helpful. He was very knowledgeable. He cleaned everything and followed Safety measures.

So let me get this straight... Planet fitness members at this location get a smaller gym than any other location, hardly ANY recliners in the spa aka closet, oh and they have changed the hours from 24/7 to 24/5 while the other locations have reverted back to 24/7. ALL THE WHILE PAYING THE SAME AS OTHER LOCATIONS???

Really enjoy going there and it has been about 6 months that i re-activated my membership. everyone is nice and helpful but recently ive gone at about 8:30pm now and there is this new girl who is rude. Usually there is guy with a cap who always is friendly but this girl seems to have an attitude if you need to buy something or have a problem checking in.

I have been a member at four other gyms in the past and Planet Fitness is by far the best. Plenty of machines there to do what ever body part you want. Machines are kept in good shape and always clean. More than enough room for people who are worried about social distancing. The staff that I see in the morning are always friendly

I really like my trainer. He makes the workout good and tiring. I reccomend him to anyone looking for a good trainer.

I enjoy it! Im military and have access to on base facilities, but its useful especially when Im out of town. Anywhere in the country I have access to a gym! The equipment is always on-point and my experiences with the staff are always friendly. Those massage chairs come in clutch, too!

Great place to come if youre starting from couch potato, or getting back into the swing of things. The Garners Ferry location seems to be the most quiet. Go for a black card membership you get alot of amenities for the cost including access to most participating PF locations some even being located out of state.

Gym is good. You’re missing a few key machines, but overall decent gym. Gym showers are horrible. No shower heads and the pressure is way too hard. Not to mention the water is even hot.

Its nice. All the equipment and weights seem to be new or in good repair. The locker rooms are not as nice as the Two Notch and Clemson Rd locations but that is just cosmetic.

I absolutely enjoy the experience of the facility. I was excited when you reopened with protective measures in place.However, my experience gets disturbed by the Assistant Manager hovering over every infraction see looks for.I may forget to pull my mask back up when going to the cleaning station, I may drop the weights slightly after a heavy set(not a slam but just noise)Today I took an important call and I was moving out if the area but there she was before I could finish putting my weights away.Im an adult and do not need her micromanaging my movements in the gym.SHE IS OBSESSIVE WITH THE MONITORING.

Love this gym. Always clean, well cared for equipment and a staff that is absolutely wonderful. Victor, Veronica, Tiffany, Daniel, and everyone is always friendly, always personable and always encouraging. The clients are a diverse crowd and all are friendly as well. I like that there are some who are super fit and some, like me, a bit older but all dedicated to staying in shape. Love this location.

Staff is very nice but today I made the mistake of not putting my mask on when going from one machine to the next, I’m aware I’m at fault here. The assistant manager came up and reminded me to put my mask on when walking around, I apologized and complied. What I didn’t like was how I looked around and saw multiple other people walking around repeatedly without a mask and she did not address them. If there are multiple people why not Address them as well or make a store announcement? And I’m aware it was my mistake but I felt very singled out and uncomfortable when others were doing the same thing. When I left even more people were walking around without a mask but she was at the desk on her cell phone and said nothing when I left (with my mask on).

I really enjoy Planet Fitness..friendly staff..great variety of well kept equipment..cleaning supplies for equipment in easy reach to help u wipe off equipment before and after using it..friendly atmosphere..personal trainers if u need r want and only 10 a month or 20 a month if have the Black card upgrade...

YwI will be back tomorrow to work out Im a black member.

Very clean with sanitizer stands close by. Staff is friendly and very professional. I felt very welcomed. After working out youre going to want to get on their Hydro Message machine! I promise you wont regret it! Its like a full body message that hits all the right spots after a workout. Thats what really sold me to get my black card membership! Definitely about to be my new spot. I highly recommend this gym. Well worth my money. #singleworkingmomof3

Planet Fitness is so convenient to work and home and they are open 24/7 so there is are plenty of opportunities to get there. I never feel like people are watching me; it truly is a no judgement zone!

Try go here at least 4 times out of the week, the people at the front are always nice and friendly. Ive yet to take advantage of the free training classes they offer in addition to the membership but I look forward to eventually trying them. Great place, never had any problems. No one bothers you while your working out, most people are pretty good about cleaning machines after themselves.

I like this location, I wear my earbuds and complete my workout. No problems at all. The staff members are super nice. Might help that I don’t go during peak hours. 😊

I recently moved out of town and I was trying to cancel my membership, but apparently you have to go to your home location or send a certified letter (whatever that means) to your home location to be able to cancel your membership. Just a scam to make it as difficult as possible to get out of your contract. The membership is cheap, but that causes way too many people to sign up, therefore all of the Planet Fitnesses are way over crowded. I would advise anyone thinking about joining Planet Fitness, to try to find somewhere else.

I love working out here! The staff is incredibly friendly and the facility is well kept. The front desk staff makes sure to make everyone feel welcome and is quick to help out if you need anything. Keep up the good work guys!

I like that I can go in, get my workout on and leave. No one bothering me, no crazy wait time for a machine, and its a seemingly positive atmosphere.

Me and my husband go after midnight .I havent had no problems. Staff is super awesome and polite.Want a peaceful workout come here.It is a little more packed during the day though.Update : This gym has even been handling Covid19 properly. Spraying down all equipment. Hand sanitizing at every paper towel and trash can. Out of safety, me and my husband personally choose not to use the restroom period. Also masks are handed out at this gym as well. It was for us anyway and we already had masks .You are required to enter with a mask on . We also dont go during busy hours . Never during the day basically still at late hours.

I came in with a friend to work out and it was a great experience and I had to join before I left and I did. The best thing I could have done.. This is the best by far compare to dutch square .. The staff are friendly and the facility is way more bigger than dutch square.. I love it here keep up the great job...

Decent environment and friendly staff...I like the fact that they have two resistance machines for most body parts, thats a plus! My biggest complaints - many of the treadmills are already out of order (or stop in the middle of a cardio session for no reason), despite that its brand new equipment and the gym just opened in late July. Also, there is a lack of water fountains - I dont mind walking a little bit more, but I like to have short rest periods between my training sets, and it would be great if there was one or two more water fountains around the gym. Other than that, pretty damn good experience considering its $10 a month.

Cant beat the price. Equipment is good, but its missing free bench/squat stations. But the Smith machines work almost as well. Besides that, it has most anything you could want equipment wise. Staff is very friendly. The massage stations are a nice touch, especially if you have the black card and all the extras you get with that. Unless you need a free bench, Id definitely recommend planet fitness.

I dont know what you think doesnt seem right to you but what i said was what happened. I went in, told the people at the desk that i wanted to look around. That i was a member in Wisconsin Ave planet fitness in Milwaukee Wisconsin. I had heard that all planet fitness wasnt the same so i wanted to see how things were. The gentleman took me over to a table on the left side of the center. He told me that i needed to pay $2 and some change but he needed my account number and routing number for my bank. I dont know whar doesnt seem right about that. But then again it wasnt right. Why would he ask me for my bank information before i was even told anything about the membership

The Staff is really friendly and helpful, the personal Trainer Saxton is top notch. The gym itself is very well equipped and maintained. Restrooms are clean enough, they need the original janitor back he kept the place looking and smelling top notch. They could use more 45lb plates on leg day they run short and at least up to 100lb dumbbells. But for the price of membership and hours of operation in Orangeburg, SC and it being a commercial gym Id have to say its 4.5 ⭐ out of 5... Id definitely recommend this place to anyone in the surrounding area to join...

Nice gym with new equipment. They even count the reps for you and have timers, very cool and things are properly separated and spread out. Never too busy

This was a hard decision: should I give it 3 or 4 stars? I would give it 4 stars for the value (only $10 a month, with plenty of machines!), and that there are many Planet Fitness gyms around the country, giving you access to a workout most anywhere for that same $10!But it has no classes of any sort, no steam or sauna rooms, no whirlpool, none of the amenities of higher price clubs. It also has lesser bikes to ride, not as adjustable as other gyms. Being a long time rider/racer, I desire an exercise bike that can be more fully adjusted and feels more like on the road.For $20 a month, you can use the tanning booth, the massage chairs and hydromassage machine.Otherwise, how can you beat this place? For only $10 a month with the large selection of weights and machines, for someone that knows what they want in a workout, it is unbeatable.PS They do keep it clean.

Clean and decent good staff.Great conversation, but I do go at late hours.With my husband, between 1am to 3am.We both like less crowded. During noon hours and morning hours.It is ridiculously crowded from toe to toe.

Theres a couple of things Id like to point out. One is that the speculation of no bodybuilders allowed. Not true. If your respectful dont slam weights and dont excessively grunt or judge people they dont care. Do your workout and get out. Not that hard. Second. Open till 7 on weekends? Thats a lie. Ive been at 9 pm on Saturdays before so Idk where theyre getting that information. Also never seen a dog there before. These reviews are crazy clearly just people looking for something to complain about.

Gym had updated equipment, but in a small area. I didnt like that there were no body works classes, no spin classes, no swimming pools, saunas, Pilates or yoga classed. Nice gym, but incomplete.

The staff at Planet Fitness- Garners Ferry are very nice and willing to help. Ive been going for about 3 months now and have had a good experience. The only complaint I have is that I see others not cleaning their equipment post workout.

I have been a member of this gym for 4 years and really liked it. It was my go to place. Coming in to workout, I went to swipe my card near a dog who was sitting on top of the counter where I swipe my card. The dogs owner was engaged in conversation with a staff person. I thought the owner was just running in to say something to the staff and leave. I later saw him on one of the machines with the dog nearby. The dog would bark at people as they went by. It was a very small dog dressed in clothes. I understand and highly respect the long held law about service dogs being allowed in public and private businesses. I have seen these well train service dogs and have never thought much about their being inside along with others. However, I am also aware of the media coverage and other news articles of people going on the internet and getting these fake service animal certificates and using them to get their animals in places of business. The owner at the gym was a large size man, seemly jovial. If he had a handicap it was not noticeable. What that little dog could do for him was not certain. Actually the poor little animal seemed nervous and scare which may be why he/she was barking at people.I asked the staff person was having dogs at the gym now the norm. I knew she would tell me about the law for service dogs which I would have respected, but rather, she kept calling him a service dog and never once heard her tell me about the legal aspect of the dog being in the gym. Instead she told me that the dog had been coming to the gym for 2 years. When I reminded her that I had been their for 4 years, she stated that maybe the dog had been coming more. This is how our conversation went with her trying to top me with the advantages of the dog compared to my membership. I told her about the dog barking, she said if the dog is startled it will bark- how can that be helped in a gym. She unnecessarily and consistently made it known to me her support for the dog- which is not what I was trying to get in the middle of. After trying to keep the conversation civil, I finally told her that I am a human and should not be compared to a dog who does not pay for membership. In actuality my complaint was more about the owner. She gave me a lot of maam this and that as we talked. She took the conversation in a direction that I was not trying to go in. I think that it is cruel to see an animal that is under the guise as a service animal sit frighten next to a owner on a machine, barking at people because he/she is nervous. Why this staff was so aggressive and angry is beyond me. Of course I ended my 4 years with PF. I wish she would have allowed me to ended the membership as quietly as I intended, but she had some anger issues going on that cause her to slap the cancellation form on top of the desk to get me out of there. After 4 years and getting others to join PF, this is how I was treated.

Planet Fitness is a rip-off and crooks. They dont support the military and our obligation to defend our country. I had a issue with my membership and I was told 3 different answers by planet fitness employees. I talked to the General Manager Victor and he was unprofessional, lacked customer service and didnt care about my issue or concern. I will be reporting this establishment to the BBB and Fort Jackson to make sure Soldiers are aware of Planet Fitness lack of integrity and support of the military.
