What a great resource for the community! I came for the first time on a day pass. Prices are reasonable. They have a lot of equipment for cardio and weight lifting. They have basketball, pickleball, ping pong, a lap pool, a family pool, and so much more. This is a popular place in town.

I just started going here after a suggestion from a neighbor. I was looking for a place to work out, with a pool, and activities for the family. Im super pleased and the best part.... The Farmers Market is in the same parking lot on Saturdays!!! I love their website... Check it out.

ARC is a nice exercise & recreation facility in Columbia MO. I & my wife are very regular visitors. We have been going there for the last three years. Wife loves. ZUMBA classes & I do varied exercises like step machine, weights, track walking, & floor exercises. Lately, some step machines need little maintenance or may even need replacement. What bothers me most is the are around, which is full of potholes, big bumps & rough road patches. I dont know who looks after the approach road & the area around, it needs urgent attention. I still say ARC is an excellent facility. Nice & Clean inside & most people follow COVID rules religiously. Thanks. Keep it up.

Pros: The staff is kind and the pool area is great.Cons: The pool room is hot and family locker room is hotter.

This place is awesome for kids and adults alike. The kids can enjoy the pool area while the adults can use the workout equipment with the track. All for the low price of 6 dollars. What a deal.

The pool grout line is surprisingly gross for a pool that is allowed to remain open.

This place has such a good atmosphere and helping staff. I love the pool, I love that church is held in some Sundays here, and my son looves playing basketball here!! It has it all!! :) God Bless this place!!

The kids really like the pool. There is a small lazy river, a cyclone pool, a larger water slide, & a play area for smaller kids. This is one of the most affordable options in the area for family fun.

Took the grandkids swimming. I cant be out in the sun so this pool is great for me. The kids get to go down the waterslide, meander the lazy river and swirl in the whirlpool. There is a play area designed for small children and their parents. Also 3 lanes are designated for walking or lap swimming. There are many lifeguards on duty. The water is warm. There are family dressing rooms and hot showers.

Court was full of a bunch of hoodlums. Gym packed with skaters. I was overwhelmed. Tomorrow another day.

Great place to exersize and let the kids swim

Don’t waste your money on a birthday party with this company. I rented a room off the pool for my daughters birthday and it was the worst experience with any of the parties we have had. The male pool manager is absolutely rude. Had an attitude from the moment he approached my party and I. Completely uncalled for. Made us late going back to our room. I asked to speak with his manager and instead of letting my party go back to the room and set up, he said “no I think you can all wait here” until his manager came. I PAID FOR THIS TIME! And then we only got MAYBE 20 mins of swim time because someone had thrown up on the slide and we noticed it. A guest of my party had said something because they were just continuing to let people swim in it with puke at the bottom of the stairs. It was disgusting. Overall a horrible experience.

The customer service was excellent and the pool was really clean. This is my first experience there and it was simply.magnificent

ARC has a great weight room with free weights and weight machines, as well as a large and varied supply of cardio machines. Available even in these times of COVID related restrictions. Their indoor pool is great, with 3 lap lanes, a lazy river area, and a kids play area.

We love the facility but childcare has been an awful experience for us. Some of the workers are good with my 2 (almost 3) year old but several times now they have called me down early from my workout and won’t keep her because she is crying. They make no attempt at comforting her and just let her cry. When I came down from the gym on Monday, they had her sitting in a chair in the corner crying. Two other children were playing by themselves and no one was comforting my daughter or reassuring her that I would be back. This is unacceptable, apparently they only know how to work with elementary aged children that don’t have separation anxiety.

This is is an incredible place! Its beautiful, modern, clean, and really well done.The gym, with a wide variety of exercise equipment, looks out over a really cool pool/ indoor water park.Its affordable, and you can pay by the visit, a month pass, an annual pass, family pass, plus one passes. Its a community center, not a private gym, so its priced accordingly. The place is a real treasure for the city of Columbia. Ive never seen one this nice anywhere else. I visit Columbia often, and Ive known ARC was there for years, but just went yesterday for the first time as Ill be spending an extended period of time in Columbia. Today I bought a month pass and look forward to going often. If you havent been, go!

Friendly staff and plenty of amenities

Walked in for the first time to see about memberships and about the pool. When I walked in, the lady who appeared to be the manager looked at me, but didnt even acknowledge me. I even walked up to her portion of the counter and said hello and asked whom I needed to talk to? She ignored me and the girl next to her waved me over to her. The girl was very pleasant and informed about the prices, which I personally thought were too steep for me, seeing that they only had 3 available lanes to swim laps in. Since the pool was the only thing I was interested in, I thanked her and started to make my leave. The manager lady then goes over to the girl and asks her what she told me. And I was still there. Way to be interested after the fact lady; all the while still ignoring me.Im sure its a decent facility, but that lady alone made me want to look elsewhere.

Only bad part is the hot tub is closed was really looking forward to using it

I do the daily pass since I can’t come very often. Price is good. Lots of basketball courts. However, I have stayed until close (9:30 pm on week nights) on multiple occasions yet tonight they tell me they close the courts at 9. I paid for a daily pass thinking I would be able to shoot until 9:30. This has never happened to me before, and no one told me the change in hours when I paid. No refund. Very disappointed.

Visit here when i come in town and have to say i love the Arc. Came four days over this Years holiday trip.Thank goodness a trainer told me they have Olympic lifting platforms and women’s barbells in the room at the end of the hallway downstairs. They could use more kettlebells, rowers, and at least one rig for pull-ups... There’s really no good place there to do pull-ups. I also really enjoy the pool and though the adolescent population may be slightly annoying it’s also nice to see kids and teens being active so i support it. Nice place for the older crowd with silver slippers programs and stuff.LOVE the pool but it’s so big i don’t understand why they ever have to close the THREE lap lanes for group ex, can’t you do that in another part of the pool? Came in to swim one day and was told that the “little swimmers” class was about to start so i couldn’t do laps, then i watched the pool for the next 40 minutes and they never closed the lap lanes, but oh well.

What a wonderful community resource. Affordable memberships and childcare for parents who need a sitter while they work out. The indoor track is great during the winter or in the hottest parts of summer is a great bonus for people who dont love treadmills.

Easy in and out, not many people swimming on a weekday.

The price is awesome for myself and my 4 nephews since I am in town visiting. the activities there are good as well. just was not happy with a female employee who saw me sitting next to 4 POWERade drinks in the gymnasium and told me I could not have them in there, only water, when I was told it was okay. but whatever, she the proceeded to try and pick up my drinks and throw them away while jumping down my throat about it and not giving me a chance to put them in a locker.

We are a family of 3 that began membership 1 week ago. Membership is not worth it. The facility itself provides many nice amenities and is fairly well maintained. Although, the staff is some of the worst customer service Ive ever received at a rec center. Also, expect to pay extra money on top of membership for several amenities. The child care program is a joke. I wouldnt trust those people with a cat. If youre considering membership, leave a reply and Id be more than happy to share some of my awful experiences.

THE HOURS ARE LISTED WRONG FOR SUNDAY. ARC CLOSES AT 6 P.M. (NOT 8 AS LISTED)This is a great gym with a lot of unique amenities. The price is the best Ive ever encountered. Less than $60 a month for a family membership. Theres an indoor pool AND an indoor track. Weight room can be crowded so you may have to adjust your workouts from time to time. Great, easy in and out parking! Which is the downfall of most of Columbias other gyms.

Good place for pickup basketball, but both courts are not available as much as they should be.

Im an adult, I listen to clean music off the speaker in the youth room because I cant have ear phones directly in my ears and they tell me I cant play my music because little kids played dirty music. They need to better there supervision on your kids and let us adults play our clean music.

I have been a member since the ARC opened. This past week has been a very bad experience. I am 78 years old and the Hot tub is one of the best things I do for my body. The hot tub has been out of use three days that I have attended. Today the ph was to high. ed. There was no hot water in the showers.This appears to be bad.management.Fees are charged for what?

Good activity center with a pool. Can buy day passes or monthly membership. One of the cheapest in town. Middle aged and after school kids seem to be the crowd the couple times Ive been here.

Everybody in the family can find something to do here. They even provide a child care option if you have going kids that need watching, while you workout. The pool is a little shallow for people over 6-feet, but otherwise the amenities are worth the small fee for entry. It isnt just dumbbells and barbells, rather well-curated workouts like spinning and core exercises.

I’m a college student that came to visit. The staff was not friendly at all. I inquired about any student discounts. I just wanted to know if they offered one because most places do. However, the staff member looked at me as if I was asking a dumb question. I ended up paying $6.00 per day, which was good. Today is my 4th day at the facility and probably my last. The facility was just ok. They do have multiple cardio equipment which was a plus. I also liked the fact that there were multiple squat racks available. I was able to get a good workout in for the past four days. However, some of the exercise machines/equipment is outdated; there is a lot of wear and tear on mats/workout equipment that probably should have been replaced years ago. The facility also looks dingy to me; especially the floor of the pool. Also, if you’re the type that likes to do circuit workouts, you may want to go later in the morning (like after 8 am). The older crowd tend to come early in the morning and sit on machines just to socialize.

Such a steal! Classes are great and inexpensive. My kids love the lazy river and water slide. The hot tub is big and bubbly.

The ARC is a wonderful community facility and is very affordable. Lots of class options, a fun aquatic center, and plenty of fitness equipment.

The instructors are energetic and encouraging. The music is fabulous. I cant wait until my next class.

The Arc - Activity & Recreation Center is a state of art design for many activities for all kinds of exercise, including a mind blowing inside pool, to many sized activity rooms as needed.

A really nice gym slash rec center. Been here more than a few times and the facility is clean and the gym staff is friendly.Lifting area is also equipped with two squat racks and several benches.

Large, clean, workout area. Large variety of equipment including cardio, free-weights, weight machines, medicine balls, excercise bands, and core balls. Many cardio machines, classes, and a wonderful pool area.Staff is extremely friendly, wide variety of age ranges make you feel comfortable. Highly recommend!! Convenience of daily passes or monthly passes. Hours are very accommodating.

Track around the peremeter is 6.5 times around equals 1 mile. Good place to go when it is cold outside.

Very good customer service (Ive been a member since January 2016). My kids love the pool but also the kid zone where there are amazing, reliable workers.

The pool was very crowded and many older woman kept telling me to leave because their infants were in the deep end of the pool. You should not have your infants in the deep end of the pool first of all and you should not tell a person to leave because their infant was in the deep end but that is an okay place and I hope they fixed all of this

Generally packed, tons of kids, classes are full. If youre looking for a cheap place to work out and super cheap daycare for older children, youve found the perfect spot.

The facility is clean and nice, however the management staff are cold and they are not accomodating to those who rent the facility. I own a business and never turn anyone away. My wife, 1 year old, and I stood out in the cold while their staff ignored us at the door. When we were finally let in I complained that they were watching us and they simply responded, I am sorry we do not open until 11 am. The staff have been poorly trained on being accomidating to guests who reny the facility. Very poor customer service skills, but a very nice facility.
