This place is a dump, Dr Plante is no longer here. This place never answers the phone, tells you to leave a message then hangs up on you, They will be closing the doors soon so do yourself a favor and get your records and look for another Doctor. Dr Plante has a new location and can be found online.

The Doctors and staff at Lagniappe Medical Clinic provide the utmost medical care. From the front desk staff to the Clinical area. I have been a patient of Dr Plante for many years. He is very thorough and genuinely cares about his patients. Daniela Murphy PA is the bomb! She is knowledgeable, friendly and shows passion for her patients. Dr Plantes team Sharon, Burdick and Larry are friendly and make sure messages are routed to Dr Plante in a timely manner. Horrible place, all the providers quit, the staff is awful and seem unqualified. It wasn’t this way earlier in the year, Polo Rd went downhill tremendously around May when they fired the 2 ladies Shar and Jenn at the front desk. They were always knowledgeable, professional, and so sweet. I’m changing providers in January. This place needs to close down!

Charlie,as he likes to be called, is an amazing therapist. From the first session I spent with him, he listened with compassion to what I had to say. He provided excellent strategies, had a relaxing sense of humor, and sensible advice. His former years in ministry were a plus for me, as he had expertise in that area too. Charlie would give his religious based opinions if I asked. He waited for me to seek advice on spiritual matters.I have received tremendous help from Charlie. He really is the best!

I love Lagniappe!! I switched over from another doctor in northeast Columbia that is been with for over 20 years and I had no idea the doctor’s office could be ENJOYABLE! Daniela Murphy the NP is wonderful!! Doctor Plante is the man!! Been here over a year now and would never, ever go back. I’ve recommended this office to dozens of people. Everyone at the office is super nice and I love it.

Turn over is horrible. I have seen someone different everything I have been. Have my meds all messed up. Looking for a new Dr. Nothing bad to say personally because everyone has been extremely nice. Love the ladies at the front desk.

I hope theyre in the process of addressing all the problems I had with this place. The last time I went was July. Check in was extremely slow as in I missed half my appointment standing in line, one of the doctors is greedy- cut our session halfway to argue with an assistant to do the out-of-pocket transaction even though procedure is the client pays after.I called to make an appointment and I was bounced to a voicemail when they knew the person was working from home and who knows when they would get it. I called recently to get my prescription refilled and not only was no one answering the phone no matter when I called but no one called me back after I left a message. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE until they address these concerns.

For the first time in my life I feel truly seen by someone who can actually help me. Charlie and Jan and every single person at Lagniappe is amazing and they genuinely care about their patients. If youve had bad experiences with psychologists or psychiatrists in the past as I have, Charlie and Jan will change your mind about seeking professional mental health. They will take care of you and will be understanding and beyond helpful without being pushy or judgmental. Highly highly highly recommend to anyone who feels like theyll never get the help they need.

Lagniappe Medical Clinic is amazing. I will admit, when I first became a patient (about a year or 18 months ago) I encountered some scheduling, availability and communication issues, but even at that time, the providers who took care of my health care needs were professional, kind and very thorough.Recently, it seems the kinks have been worked out and now this practice exceeds my expectations. They are more than flexible with scheduling and communicate with me promptly and professionally. I am so glad I remained a patient here. Using the Patient Portal has been a wonderful experience. Appointment flexibility (even when I have to reschedule at the last minute) has been handled wonderfully with patience and understanding.My providers are caring, professional and the standard of care they offer is fantastic. I am happy to be able to use ONE clinic for all my needs.Kudos Lagniappe for creating such a patient centered practice. I look forward to this clinic taking care of my and my familys health care needs forever.

Dr Plante is gone all the sudden. Its hush hush there....I go for my appt today to see a PA Ive never seen in the many years Ive been seeing Dr Plante. They didnt bother to tell me he was gone. The PA felt it necessary to change the med plan Dr Plante and I had that worked many years. They dont answer the phone anymore and wont return calls. Has gone downhill the last few months and without Dr Plante.... Good luck. Patients are leaving like crazy.

I am very pleased to finally have a doctor who is very concerned with my mothers health. So, many seemed to go through the motions; but mainly just considered that she would get over whatever was happening to her or that she was too old to be concerned whether she died now or later. Younger patients were more their focus.

Charlie is an absolute blessing! He will make sure youre comfortable and give it to you straight! Definitely recommend him to anyone looking for help!

I have seen my regular family physician for over twenty years, but thought I would try this clinic as it was closer to my home. The experience was actually great! I was greeted by a lovely cheerful receptionist named Alexis,who was very helpful. The wait was a bit long admittedly, but the care that I received was well worth it. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking a great doctor.

Charlie and Jan are outstanding. It took years to find the help that I needed and I would highly recommend either of them.

Most help I have had in a long time he actually listened to what I had to say. Not just whats wrong with me but , why it that it is wrong with me! No he doesnt have a magic wand or a crystal ball with all the answers, nor does he pretend to have one either. Also made me understand I cant fix everything now or right away. But I left with hope for the first time in my life that there was going to be a conscious effort put forth in to doing so! Only my first visit. I am transitioning to a general practitioner after graduate school. Unfortunately, I became ill ahead of finding a general practitioner and needed a walk-in alternative still within my insurance’s network. I was seen quickly and symptoms were reviewed and diagnosed with prescriptions being called into my pharmacy quickly.

Dr.plante is a wonderful dr. I have been seeing dr. Plante for 20 years almost. He is very knowledgeable, caring and his staff is great.Charley, the counselor, is awesome. It doesnt feel like Im seeing a counselor, it feels more like a friend. Hes great to talk to. Very knowledgeable. It is really nice to talk to someone without them drilling you with questions and shoving medications in the mix.Im very happy with dr. Plante going out on his own. It is a really nice new facility and friendly staff.Daniella, is a great PA. You can really tell she cares. And it is nice and convenient to see the PA when dr. Plante is booked for a day I need the apt.Thank you guys for being there and being so caring.

Rarely answers phone calls, unreliable at returning messages, referrals and authorizations take forever, and Providers (especially PAs) are leaving in mass exodus. Management is a major concern.

Horrible!!!! Calls will not be returned when something is very wrong. Anytime a doctor has an issue with you for seeing a specialist or getting a second opinion that is a HUGE red flag. Dr. Plante is the worst and should be ashamed of himself. Faithful patients do not deserve the lousy treatment or lack of concern or care he has given them. And what medical clinic doesnt have acute care appointments for issues that pop up and cant wait. Issues that stem from the medical care given. Disgusting!! I would give negative stars if I could.

I have just moved to Columbia and needed a family Doctor. I was impressed by the beautiful building, I recently got a physical there and I must say, the staff was exceptionally nice. If you need their services, I would highly recommend it.

Came in solely because my head and right ear was killing me and my throat a tad irritated. New patient. Was seen very quickly, faster than I have at the hospital. The Nurse Practitioner, Mrs. April and her nurse was amazingly on point. They were patient with me and did not make me feel rushed the slightest like you do at most doctors offices. The minute she asked was there anything else I may be concerned about she could assist me with, it caught me off guard. I mentioned a female issue Ive been having for years and she was willing to look into it for me. And was able to catch a potential issue early. So thankful my regular doctor was too busy to see me because otherwise we probably would never have gotten around to that more urgent issue. Highly recommend these ladies!!!

Another quack office. Just called trying to set up an appointment for my 90 year old mother. Lori, who answered the phone was rude and as dense as a rock. She became irate when I asked two simple common questions when looking for a new physician: Is the doctor Board Certified? and How long has the doctor been in practice. It was as if she had a seizure. What type of training are doctors in this office giving their staff? What type of medical errors and omissions are occurring daily in an office with illiterate incompetent employees? STAY AWAY!!

There is a reason why I no longer use this company as my healthcare provider. The service is awful and the response to phone calls is non existent. The wait times are horrible and I’m much happier with my new healthcare provider. My father is a physician in GA and my wife is an RN so I know how patients should be treated and this place is a joke!

IM totally not happy with the service of this clinic. I had an MRI on MAY 18TH its now May 31st NO ONE will return my calls regarding my results. 4 Messages were left for the physician and his medical assistant still no response or letter in the mail, patient portal, NOTHING. WOW!! is this how patients are treated? So I have decided to take my care elsewhere. Its a shame not all healthcare care is good care. Now Im forced to give 1 star to post this SMH

This place doesnt deserve all the negative feedback, its typical for a business that is in the pricess of starting up to have a few bumps. Ive had nothing but overwhelmingly positive interactions and experiances with the staff and doctors. Dr. Plante and his staff were outstandingly knowledgeable and caught a serious condition before it had time to worsen. 10/10 would recommend!

Ive had some of the worst medical experiences with Doctor Malinchak. His knowledge and understanding of medicine is very minimal. Any complicated or advanced questions you may have, fluster him and hell give a simple I dont know response without trying to do any further research.He rushes through the appointment and does not listen to his patients concerns, especially if he has a preconceived notion of your issues. He even tried to force me to take a pregnancy test when I came in for bloating and constipation. When I refused he no longer wanted to hear my concerns and quickly ended our appt. I hadnt had sex with a man in over 7 months, so I knew it was a deeper issue than pregnancy. I had to basically beg him to do lab work which of course came back abnormal. He is a complete joke! If you have a simple cold or something that is easily diagnosed hes your guy, but dont expect him to devote any real time or interest to your holistic wellbeing.

As mentioned by other dissatisfied patients this place is a joke. The communication is not there at all. Im currently in the room waiting for the doctor . Only for a prescription refill. Everytime i come to this drs office it takes a minimum of 2 hours for the visit. And i only ever come for prescription refills. I had to reschedule my appt from one day to another and when i rescheduled i did it for the A.M because thats all I ever schedule appointments for. When i get here they say you werent scheduled till 2pm so you are now considered a walk in. So I explain to them that the wait has been like this everytime. Not just this visit. And Im always at least 15 minutes early. Im currently still waiting to be seen 2 and a half hours later with 4 cars in the lot. Needless to say I will be finding a new doctor today.

This place is a joke, No communication. My wife was a patient, and when she tells me that I have to step in thats a direct indication of a problem. If I could give them 0 stars I would. They are affecting the mental health of their patients when its a friday, my wife is out of her medication. My wife had called 2 times earlier that week, and here it is FRIDAY and they are off all weekend. THANK GOD CVS CARES ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. THIS PLACE SURE AS HELL DOESNT!!! I call them 2 hours before they close and tell her to please call me back before 3. And unsurprisingly they never called me back. The whole staff is a joke, as I spoke with 2 different ladys and neither one cared enough to call me back. THIS IS YOUR JOB LAGNIAPPE!!! YOU TELL MY WIFE SHE CANT JUST STOP THIS MEDICATION BECAUSE ITS DANGEROUS, BUT YOU DONT REFILL IT!!! YOU WILL NEVER SEE US AGAIN, AND TO BE HONEST, I HOPE YOU GO OUT OF BUSINESS. NO1 SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE THIS, WE WILL BE GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE FROM NOW OWN!! GOOD RIDDANCE!!!!

I can see why it has gotten bad reviews recently, my experience is, if you go to their website for 3D/4D ultrasounds it says there is a heartbeat package for $50. Yet when I called they told me it’s $90. I have a screenshot where it clearly says $50. My sister even sent me money to go get this done as a gift from Her, the lady on the phone was rude also. False advertisement and rude. Glad I didn’t have the money to go.

Doctors and staff who care. Doctors take their time with each patient instead of being forced to spend a limited amount evaluating each patients problems.

Professional care giver and staff

I went there for a WELLNESS physical for my job and they billed my insurance for something else. These people are scam artists who doesn’t care about seeing the patients, but they rather charge for something you didn’t even ask for. Not only I have to get another Wellness Physical done, I have to pay for a bill that I didn’t ask for.

Dr Banks takes the medical situation seriously, but is fun to joke with while she is attending to business.
