I called to make sure they would be able to see my son for a physical. When I get in there I overhear the provider telling her she didn’t want to anyone else because it was going to take too long and she needed to go. Instead of ASKING ME which is basic customer service the lady at the front desk decides she’s going to tell me to go to another office across town. These people are ridiculous DON’T waste your time with this office.Unprofessional and rude.

I went there for a COVID-19 test. No appointment was necessary and I was seen in less than half an hour. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous and everyone was very safety conscious. The doctor explained my results and what to expect for the future. I would absolutely use this Doctors care again.

No complaints. Very friendly staff. I felt listened to and educated. They really put my mind at ease.

I had my wellness exam performed there. They have a new online registration system. The office staff remembered me! The gentleman that drew my blood made it a painless experience!

Dr. Kim was amazing! Not only did he take the time to do a thorough analysis in diagnosing and treating son, but he scheduled a follow up visit to be sure the infection was resolved. He showed care during the visit. He even called to check that my son showed improvement. Thats extraordinary service!! Thanks to Dr. Kims diligence my son is cured and doing well! I am so thankful to have this valuable resource available to my family. Our primary doctors office was closed for the holidays but we were in great hands at Doctors Care. We will definitely return as needed.Edited: It should also be noted that the receptionist went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable (everyone in the lobby was coughing and I was concerned about my recovering son and my little girl) and to be sure we were served. She was very helpful, polite and understanding.

Went many times my wait was not long great team .

Upon arriving for our Covid-19 tests, we found thete to be no sanitizer in the lobby for patients. There were no separate containers for clean and dirty pens. Patients did wait in their vehicles. Patients were provided the opportunity to register online. Unfortunately, this required us to input information that was currently on file. Not that big of a deal. The receptionist cut me off as I was saying Good morning. OK. When coming in to check on my childrens check-in (only my husband and I received texts saying we were checked in), I was cut off again by the receptionist while asking my question. The wait time was long but that was to be expected. Not a problem. Upon receiving our text to come in, there was confusion about which one of us was texted. I received 4 texts saying they were ready to see us. We go in and we are told only two people were texted.There is someone in the back who comes up and says she only texted two people. We wanted to make sure our 12-year-old was no placed in a room alone. The receptionist and the other woman are talking over one another and asking me questions at the same time. Too many people talking and asking questions. Miscommunication and attitude. The female from the back did not realize that my husband was my husband or that he was with us. So, when I said he is family, she told me not to have an attitude.Communication is key. All of that confusion could have been avoided if they were communicating with one another before calling us in. You cannot take your frustration out on patients who are there for service. It is not our fault that you are experiencing a high volume today. No worries though. We will use a different office. Unfortunately, that means leaving our community and going somewhere else.

Ive been sitting in the lobby with my son since 3Pm, it is 4:40PM. I signed in online at 8:15AM. I was told to be here at 3:03PM and to be on time. I dont understand the purpose of signing in online if you still have to wait when you get there?!?! Im very disappointed! I gave 3 stars because the staff was friendly but other than that, Im not pleased at all. I understand there are wait times but dont offer patients pointless options!!!!! Needless to sat I WONT BE BACK. If this appointment wasnt for my son, I would leave. Oh and I had to pay $100! A mess!

No stars : ( If the patient has to raise their voice to be heard, the medical staff has failed epicly in their communication. This was the case tonight. I will not grace the doors of this Doctors care ever. If I cannot trust them in the arena of communication, I most certainly would not trust them with my information nor my body. It would behoove the triage gals to listen far more than they speak and to give the courteousness of fully hearing their patient out before they pass judgment and offend with an accusatory spirit. When this is done there will be understanding ALL around. I encourage you to try it . It works. Up your professionalism. It is greatly needed and would be appreciated.

Dr. Kim is an excellent Doctor. He was very straightforward and explained my condition, in layman’s terms. He is knowledgeable and informative. He did not rush me out or ignore any of the information I gave him. He took time to understand me, as the patient. I definitely recommend this Doctor.

Went in on a Sunday, and they gave me antibiotics. Realized Tuesday that something was not right, with a migraine, nausea and chills. I then called them to explain I needed something for nausea.. or either to switch antibiotics because something was not right. (which I called 3 times) only for me to have to call them back at 5:00 for them to tell me that they didn’t like prescribing medicines and to continue to keep taking the antibiotic & take tums. At this point I was furious. That night I broke out in hives realizing that I was highly allergic to the antibiotic.. No one should have to beg for relief, or feel like they aren’t being heard. Highly disappointed

I would definitely recommend anyone go to this branch. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They truly have a home-like feel!

Do on line check in what a joke. Wassuppose to be seen at 2:40 then it changes to 3:00, its now almost 4:00 and still sitting here waiting. I checked in on line before noon, I can totally understand a 3.4 rating.I personally would not go that far.When it comes to on line check , dont waste your timeOnce I got to see a nurse/Doctor things got better no great but better

The visit was very good that day. It moved along quicker than I expected and it gave me the health information needed.

Zero sense of urgency. I was “next in line” on their monitor for more than an hour. My guess is I sat in the lobby while the Doctors went to lunch. Total visit took way too long. More than 2 hours with very few people in line. Clearly a management issue.

Best doctor Ive been too in a long time. The wait time wasnt the greatest but Ive seen far worse. Staff is super sweet and funny except for the girl at the front desk she seemed annoyed at everyone.

Least caring individuals Ive ever met. Came in as an RN with a stomach virus, unable to keep anything down and in a great deal of pain. Checked in online, came when we were told and still waited to see a doctor. Then the doctor tells me there is nothing he can do but PO zofran, which is what I was already taking at home. Waste of 250 bucks and 2 hours. He says just drink more. Like I wasnt trying to do that. I left in tears.

Short wait time with a friendly and competent staff. The doctor was bright,respectful, understanding and to the point. I was given my prescriptions andpaperwork I needed for work, and sent on my way with a friendly have a nicerest of the day. What more could you bloody well ask for.

I have had to go to a lot of urgent care offices and this was by far the best experience from check in to check out. The staff at the front desk was warm and friendly, I believe the names were Jolanda and Lauren. Dr. Baker was thorough and genuine. Kristi was amazing as well. This team really showed the epitome of service.

Great experience yesterday. The staff are friendly and caring. I used the online check-in and I was seen on time. I called today to ask for a script to be called in and it was called in and ready within a couple of hours. The staff rocks!

This place is terrible!! My daughter was seen 3 days ago and was told to call back in 3 days if her symptoms persisted, for antibiotics. She continued to feel bad and 3 days later, called several times and left messages and no one called her back. Finally got through 10 min before they closed and they said the dr would want to see her again before prescribing any medication! ...again AT closing time. They were “too busy” to even call her back to let her know that she needed to come back in (To be seen for the same symptoms) and of course now it was closing time!! Too busy to have a nurse or even a receptionist to call her back to be seen, again! Would never go back to this place!!

Dr. Chun Kim is the best GP Ive ever had. In fact, I am now a resident of Atlanta, but travel to Cola. each year to have my physical done by Dr. Kim and his excellent assistants. The front desk staff also excellent.

The doctor I spoke to was wonderful! She was skilled, observant, quick, straight-forward, and empathetic. Couldnt have asked for better care session.

Felicia I think is her name (blonde middle aged caucasian) is the absolute worst person you want to be greeted by when youre ill. She is rude, speaks loud so forget about patient confidentiality. And she was clearly upset about one of her co workers being allowed to leave early and/or come late per her phone conversation while the entire waiting room is crowded and people were waiting to be helped 👎👎👎... No tact or class at all coming from a veteran that is seen at the VA regularly and used to ill mannered people

I signed in on line to minimize my wait time and when I arrived the person that was behind me in line was called back first, when I politely asked why I wasnt called back they said I wasnt on the nurses list despite being first on the list on the lobby TV. I sat and waited a while longer then asked the women at the front desk if it was going to be much longer because my turn had been skipped and she brushed me off saying yes, be with you shortly. This office is unorganized and extremely unsympathetic. I waited an additional 40 mins to see The doctor before I decided I would rather not support this branch. The one positive thing I can say is the nurse that escorted me back was very pleasant and professional.

I went in twice for the same complications,only to be sent to a specialist 2 days away. I wasnt asked if i needed anything for pain and discomfort . I will say that the ladies at the front desk and the nurses get 5 stars .The doctors seem to just have a routine.

I just love entire staff at the Garners Ferry Doctors Care! No wait! Lots of smiles! The clinic was spotless and smelled good!

My son stepped on a rusty nail. His pediatrician did not have the tetanus serum and advised me to contact one of the nearby urgent care facilities. I explained the situation to the receptionist at Doctors Care and asked whether they had the serum on hand. She said that they did. I then asked whether they accepted my son’s insurance. She initially said, Then we cannot give your son the shot. I asked why not. She put me on hold. When she came back, she said that they did not have the serum. I said. Before you knew what type of insurance I had, you had the serum, now you dont? She said, “My manager overheard the conversation and said that we do not have the serum, okay!” There are other urgent care treatments in this area take all types of insurance, such as MedCare, which is just up the Garners Ferry Road.

I came in yesterday with strep throatand in horrible pain. When it was time to verify insurance I was told that I had a deductible to meet and that I must pay $100 for my visit plus any additional labs. This sounded crazy to me and I asked her three times has she verified insurance and what she sure. She tells me yes. Because I was in so much pain at this point I didnt care I just want to be seen so I paid them $123.** which included the additional labs that need to be ran. Today I felt a little better and decided to call and verify my own insurance because Ive never had to meet deductible when seeing a urgent care or primary care. It took me less than three minutes to verify that I only shouldve paid a $20 co-pay! this tells me my insurance was never verified! I am a single mother of two and the additional money spent couldve gone towards groceries for my household. I honestly feel like I was stolen from and now I have to wait for the claim to be filed with my insurance to review for reimbursed at a later date. Im pissed! Have the representative at the counter actually review the information like she said she had done when I wouldnt be writing this review. I will never return to this particular urgent care! And I want my money now

I went in thinking I had a sinus infection and left after three hours, being told it was just allergies. Not a week later and having to go to my real doctor, I ended up having a sinus infection AND an ear infection, with a fever. Now Ive had to take off from work with hours I dont have and is ruining everything!I feel like every time my fiancé goes here too, he comes back with the diagnoses of allergies. It seems to be their favorite excuse for everything.

I will never come here every again! I waited for over 3 hours (even with the online check it). Once I was seen by the technician, I was left alone in an uncomfortably cold room for over 45 min. Once I finally had a chance to tell the doctor what was wrong, she said in a patronizing tone Poor baby...Now do you feel better? Her sarcasm did not make my (what turned out to be) bronchitis better. I had been battling it for weeks and didnt want to take time off from work. I was sick, tired, now cold, and a bit miffed that I had been left in a closed room for so long.The only saving grace was that the girl working the desk was very kind.Since then I have paid a visit to MEDcare and that experience was the complete opposite from Doctors Care. If you are looking for a last-minute doctor, I would recommend going a few minutes down the road to them instead.

This review is for Laudrics wife, a regular patient here. This is the best medical practice she has ever been under the care of in Columbia, SC. We know the doctors will stick with you until problem is diagnosed and resolved, or they will diligently make arrangements to get you to the professional(s) who can. They take personal interest in you, both Dr. E. Baker and Dr. C. Kim. They also listen to your concerns about your meds, etc. I would hate for them to move elsewhere. (Deborah Bright, patient)

Had a positive hpt so I went to doctors care on Garners ferry for confirmation, when I checked in the receptionist was obviously annoyed, but I needed confirmation so I stayed. While waiting in the lobby for over an hour with literally nobody in front of me (there was 1 lady who came in a good while after me) I went to ask the receptionist if I could go ahead and pee into the cup... Finally 45 mins after that the nurse calls me, she was very sweet and had a good sense of humor and could tell I was nervous so she made me feel comfortable, however wasnt aware that I already peed an hour ago by the time she asked me to pee goes and does the test. The doctor comes in 30 mins later and looks at me like Im stupid saying my test was negative... They did a blood test, so Im waiting on those results, however I took two more, more expensive hpts (clear blue digital) and both read positive... More than anything Im pissed that the doctor made me feel stupid and the receptionist was extremely rude and disrespectful, if you dont like people then working in a doctors office is not the job you need. Smh shout out to the nurse though, she really made me feel better and is the only reason I didnt snap on the doctor and receptionist.

Dr. Kim is a highly skilled, compassionate and very intelligent physician.

This was my first time going to a Doctors Care. I usually go to a family office, however this facility was close to where I lived and allowed me to walk in. I was thoroughly pleased. Little wait time, efficient and provided sufficient work excuse for recovery.

They are very unprofessional and super slow. We waited over an hour for a sports physical that only takes five minutes. Listened to the doctor talk with others about having gold fish in her drink. I will never visit here again and I do not recommend anyone else. At least not for a physical and let’s not forget there wasn’t anyone waiting and only one person in the back.

Absolutley loved the beautiful and calming picture slide show and beautiful soft music playing on the TV. I HATE blaring TVs in lobbies or waiting rooms.Went in with a prior dx of broncitis after 2 full rounds of anti biotics and left after x-ray with dx of pneumonia, more anti biotics an inhaler and scrip for cough syrup. Finally feeling almost human. Its been a month of this!

My 58 year old mother came into this office with severe chest pains and was told she would have to wait to be seen. I would like to know your office protocol for this type of situation as I know any person having symptoms of a heart attack is supposed to be treated as a emergency. Needless to say we left and went to med care where she was treated immediately. Very disappointed and will be pursuing this matter!!!!

I only put one star because you cant put no Stars. They are REDICLIUOSLY SLOW AND DONT GIVE A DAM ABOUT YOU WAITING. MY HUSBAND CAME IN FOR A DRUG TEST WHICH YOU PEE IN A CUP FOR AND WE ARE STILL SITTING HERE AFTER 3HOURS. AND THEY ARE RUDE AS CAN BE.

My husband had something in his eye. It was very red and irritated. We went online at 10 AM to book an appointment. At 11:12 we got a text that the doctor was ready to see him. We arrived at 11:15. We only live 2 miles away. At 12:40 we still had not seen a doctor. I reminded the receptionist that we booked online and got a text. She said they were busy. 2 people arrived after us and were seen. We decided to leave and ask for the copayment back. The receptionist said she was too busy. We asked her to mail it. I doubt we will ever see it
