Dr. Morriss medical assistant took 2 weeks to send in my prescriptions to pharmacy. I went to Dr. Morris 3 days before he went on vacation. The MA sent one wrong prescription that was from an older visit so I paid for a prescription I didnt need. She didnt know what he prescribed. I have had itchy and red ears for 5 months and Dr. Morris only gave an ointment that doesnt help and said just keep my ears clean which I do already. He will not address the problem. I will have to go to another doctor.

Dr. Morris and his team were amazing until a few months ago. I called several times for a medication refill and NO ONE called back. 2 1/2 weeks later I had to call a person who is over the offices. She was wonderful. I was there this past Tuesday for a medication refill. He would not prescribe my sleep meds that he has been giving me for the last 5 months and all of a sudden he said no because he called my pharmacy and they told him you cant prescribe that medication if she is taking this other medication. He lied. He never called. Then he have me another RX and this time he told me to Google it up if I wanted to. I never heard of this medication and he couldnt take the time to go over it with me. I left went to my pharmacy and it needed a PA or I could pay $400 for it. That was not okay with me so I went back to Dr. Morris and he had the nurse tell me to look up what sleep meds my insurance covers. I have been on Ambien for over 15 years including when Dr. Morris who prescribe it for me. Im not sleeping and I have 2 special needs children. Dr. Morris did not care. I called back twice about different sleep meds and Guess what???? No one has called me. I will be reporting Dr. Morris.

Do not go here for COVID-19 testing. They advertise drive-up testing, with results in 3-5 days, and those are both false advertisements. My boyfriend and I went Wed, July 1st to get tested. We drove separately, so I arrived a few minutes after him. We were both there before 8:00am. It should be advertised that they are a “drive up, park your car, get out and get in a not-socially distanced line outside of a business” testing site, because that’s what the “protocol” ended up being. Oh! And they only had 10 testing kits total. I was the 11th person in line. Ended up working out in my favor because I went to an entirely different place in the Garners Ferry area, and got my results back Sunday (which, guess what, I was positive). My boyfriend? He’s still waiting for his results. Tomorrow will be a week. We’re now just operating under the assumption that he’s positive as well and quarantining together. Calls have been made to this place, 3x a day , and when someone actually does pick up, it’s just to get a call-back number so they can reach out when they have results. PLEASE don’t advertise 3-5 day results if you can’t honor it.

Dr. Pridgen was very nice. However, the wait was incredibly long. I was finally seen 2 hours after my appointment time and it seemed like business as usual there. I let that slide because the doctor was very nice and seemed to know what she was talking about. I was supposed to get called back about a second opinion, about something seen in a lung X-ray, in about a week. It has been 3 weeks, no call. When I’ve called no one seems to care beyond telling me they don’t see anything on my file. No follow up questions. No speaking to a nurse. Nothing. They basically have left me hanging with the knowledge that they saw something on my X-ray that could be life threatening for all I know. I am now setting up an appointment for another general practitioner in hopes of some answers or at least a bit of courtesy.

The office staff ranges from inept to lazy. The doctor was nice, however you spend the majority of your time waiting and dealing with the office staff, so it would be nice to see a hint of competence. Want to get an itemized bill to see if theyre correctly filling with your insurance, nope cant do that.If you have anything done here, its on you to make sure the proper test is done. Also you will need to verify that they file the correct prescriptions. You simply cannot trust anyone there to do their job.

I waited 2 hours in my car to get a test done, which was understandable, but was told it would take 2-5 days for my results and that they would leave a voicemail if I didn’t answer. They didn’t. Every time I called the appointment line, I was transferred to the “Covid test result line” ...... to no avail. The voicemail box was also always full but when I was able to leave one, still no callback. If you need COVID testing done, don’t expect to receive your results in a timely manner.

My daughters went to be tested on Wednesday , June 17, 2020 for Covid 19 for precautionary measures since one had been at a Graduation party where some people tested positive and the other had been at Myrtle Beach. They didn’t want to expose the rest of the family unnecessarily and since results are advertised by this office as 2 to 3 days that would be great. Wrong. BS is more like it. We are going on 8 business days with no answers while they are stuck in limbo in Columbia. The worst part is the unresponsive office. The poor receptionist is surely tired of dealing with increasing annoyed patients I’m sure. if they can’t get the test results in 2 to 3 days don’t advertise that and don’t leave people hanging who have lives to live by just ignoring numerous phone calls. Shame on them. I’m sure they are racking up the bucks charging $120 office visit and then whatever they’re getting reimbursed for the Covid 19 test to swab noses in a drive thru testing area. No disrespectful to the nurses on the front lines but the way patients are simply ignored and their concern pushed aside, Colonial Healthcare should be ashamed. One concerned and annoyed parent!!

UPDATE: A few months back I requested to change Dr within the practice. Was told someone would reach back out and let me know. No one ever did. Called a couple of weeks ago and was told Soto had signed off but the other Dr had not yet seen it. To call back, I did that today and was told on the first phone call that he hadnt seen it yet to call call back. I called back again and was told no he didnt sign off on it, no reason given. Had I not called I would not have been contacted. If I could take even the ONE star away I would. Soto is great as long as you arent overweight, he loves to harp on that, its the reason for anything that is wrong. I dont care how many Sterling reviews he gets, he is great for some people and horrible for others. Roll the dice and see which he is for you. Called and left a message for HR, will update of I get a call back as requested.Inconsistent and Slow. Referrals not done timely, cant get prescriptions approved for express scripts in a timely manner. Staff has an attitude if you question what they want you to do. Dont return calls. Closes at noon on Friday so if you need something better not wait. Had an appointment scheduled at 215 didnt see the doctor until over an hour later. Reason? Oh someone up front made an error. They want your money and they insist you be on time because their time is valuable, clearly they dont feel their patients time is as well. Has gotten worse over time. Going to start looking for a new Dr. Office. I actually like Dr. Soto but clearly he has no control over what his staff does or does not do. If he did, his orders would be done when needed. Dr. Soto is a very good doctor and I like him allot however, his support staff is the worst I have ever encountered. For one, they never answer the phone no matter what time you call. They rarely if ever return a call when you leave a message. It took me over a month to get my drugs called in correctly to the correct pharmacy. Calling repeatedly did not help. I finally had to show up at the Forest Dr. twice to get most of my drugs called in correctly. There is still one drug that needs to be corrected. I dont understand what the problem is. Perhaps lack of supervision or a simple lack of concern for the patients. Today I arrived 5 minutes early for a scheduled follow up appointment and waited 45 minutes. I asked when the doc could see me and was told there was 1 other person in front of me. I rescheduled for Friday and walked out. I dont think I can take this much longer before I will have to find a new doctor.

Then she finally found my moms name on her list on top of like 10 people who had already been back. I had another appointment for myself to attend so I couldn’t wait any longer. But this is ridiculous. She was acting as if it was my fault that they over looked my mom. My mom really needed to see Dr. Soto today but that did not happen, this was such a huge inconvenience. I recently visited this office for a routine physical & blood work, while also trying to set-up a general practitioner for future appointments. That is no longer an option by the experience I have had from only two visits. I set-up my physical where the doctor might have spent 10 minutes with me, had blood work drawn, and was told the ONLY way I could get my results was to make a follow up appointment, so I did. After hearing from colleagues that a lot of their doctors have conference calls or an online portal to receive test results, etc. I decided to follow back up. I was then reassured that the only way I could get results and have them explained to me was to come in or pick up a copy from the office and to just google it myself. Well, after doing some research of my own, I found that Colonial Family Healthcare does indeed have a online patient portal. I tried calling this particular branch 5 times, to result in no answer and being transferred to the main call center in Sumter. Thankfully the Sumter office was able to send me a link to set-up my online account. This is where I certainly did find my test results, however half were not even filled out appropriately. I then tried calling this branch (again) to no answer. I was finally able to get in contact with someone which I was told I have no idea, maybe it was left out on purpose. So, I kept my follow up appointment because there were some items I had concern over. I went into the office for my appointment, where the office smelled like leftovers from someones lunch (completely off putting for a doctors office). I was finally called back to then wait again inside the room. The doctor FINALLY comes in to review my tests (after about a 45 minute wait). Thankfully the results he did have were all normal. He then proceeds to question me, where my other results were? He steps out, comes back in and informs me that LabCorp is down today? My main concern is what does LabCorp being down on THAT day, have to do with my test results that were taken a WEEK ago? Why were my results not recorded at the office directly? The icing on the cake of this entire experience was HAVING to have a follow up appointment to receive my results, to then find out half the panel of results are not even ready...OH and the nurse NOR doctor knew about Colonials online patient portal? One of the options on the portal is to message your doctor...so good luck with that. I am not one to normally leave such a lengthy review, but this place is disorganized, disheveled, unprofessional, and honestly not helpful in educating/informing their patients on their own self-care. I will not return and would not recommend this office to anyone. Air with caution!UPDATE: I recently received a letter from my insurance company stating that two tests were ran for Stomach Issues and will not be covered as they are unnecessary and are not sufficient. Two things, I do not have stomach issues nor authorized such tests. This place is a complete mess.

If you are looking for a healthcare practice that treats you like a real human being, then this review might be one of the most important you read...heres the story:My healthcare provider referred me to this place and I walked in a couple weeks ago. I was seen quickly, on the urgent care side by Dr. Hunt. He was such a breath of fresh air, after Id had so many negative experiences with other providers. I actually enjoyed this visit, and figured it was an anomaly...Then, a week later, I met Dr.Soto, who immediately struck me as a kind and generous man. He really surprised me further, as he took the time to truly listen to me and all my concerns. Beyond that, he asked questions about my life and career, and I felt that he truly wanted to know me as a person. Now, I had to visit for a third time in two weeks (I know!)... with no appointment, I walked in and was taken care of by a Dr. Joseph (sorry, no last name). I saw the dr. QUICKLY and was completely taken care of.This really shocked me, as Ive recently had to write a bad review of another provider... three times, three excellent five star visits. I am completely sold on this team, at the Forest drive location.Oh, and for the record, the support staff on all counts is just as good--kind, courteous, friendly and fast--as the rest.Loved it, and compelled to write a raving review!Jesse Moskel
