MPC Columbia location was less then stellar when treating my loved one that was diagnosed with Covid. Not only did they not offer him the newest interventions when he was diagnosed but Dr. Wang was borderline rude and dismissive during the initial appointment. When it came to the follow up visit to discuss the next steps to recovery, after 15 days of severe symptoms, the accommodations for care lacked severely. Even though I am a medical professional, vaccinated, and have a negative Covid test they would not allow me to be involved with the visit and dismissing my concern for my loved one. This office lacks integrity, compassion, attention to detail, and opportunity for advanced care. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

Not at all impressed with new location and current staff. Couldnt find the building, kept on hold for 10 minutes when I called for directions. Was there for an annual physical, was told I was there for a follow up visit so not enough time was scheduled (even though I called 5 months in advance). Waited over an hour past my appointment time for Dr. Price, who addressed only one point in my labs, did a half-hearted exam, and gave me all of 5 minutes of her time. Then, when I asked her assistant if I needed to provide a urine sample (always had to in the past), she seemed very uncertain and led me to a dirty bathroom to complete the sample. Spent the full 1.5 hours there, for sure! Left wondering why I came.

I am writing regarding Dr. Bruce Conger, who has been my physician since 1988. Dr. Conger has a great patient manner, always makes me feel relaxed when he interacts with me. He takes the time to really listen to and think about my concerns and is not like some Doctors who seem to be in a hurry to get to their next patient. Because he takes time to really listen to his patients, sometimes he may of course have to fall behind schedule, but I would rather have a Doctor who takes the extra time to really listen to me to get a clear understanding of the issues and think about the best way to resolve the issues. I absolutely recommend him as a primary care Physician!

I was a patient of Dr Prada before his retirement and he was an excellent doctor and some of the doctors there are great (which makes 2 stars vs 1) however none are accepting new patients. Things to keep in mind with MCPC are as follows:- the website is awful as it still lists retired doctors as active and you cannot tell online what doctors are accepting new patients which forces you to call the office.- the wonderful medical record system they advertise is not easy to use and clunky which again forces a call to the office.- getting to speak to someone in the office takes a 20-30 min wait on average (probably half due to the inefficiencies of 2 points above) and then the staff may not be able help as they may not know what theyre doing and can be rude at times.

Dr. Adkins is in it for the money. One of the worst doctors that I have EVER SEEN. She wouldn’t renew any of my prescriptions (even allergy pills) without needing a new appointment every time. I asked her if I could have a longer appointment to get all of my needs met at once and not needing to book multiple appointments to address and she told me (real quote) “I wouldn’t make any money that way”. I don’t know of the entire firm is like that but what a scam. On my Telehealth visit her laptop “died” in the middle of our appointment and she didn’t give me extra time, she just cut me off, dealt with 1 concern, and ended the appointment. If you don’t want hack medical care, don’t go here.Update: I love how they can get back to me within hours responding to my review but won’t call me back about my medication, and didn’t address the money comment made by the doctor. My mother also attends this practice and her doctor just talks politics the entire appointment - sure-fire way to get your blood pressure up!

Felt the need to post this after reading about other patients receiving a Termination of Service from Maryland Primary Care Physicians. At the time of my termination I had a lengthy telephone conversation with the office manager who told me once one of their doctors decides to terminate, thats that. There IS no recourse. My complaints about my docs lack of professionalism/incessant lateness didnt register. No one cared.(In reply to Owner/Laura P: Yes, my doctor was Rafeena Bacchus. Her pic is all over your website. Check your records.)Moved to Columbia and signed up with Rafeena Bacchus as my PCP even after the female person on the phone cautioned me, a 50 year old male, that We dont have any male doctors with openings. I figured, Who cares? A doctor is a doctor, right?I couldnt have been more wrong. Dr. Bacchus was less than helpful with a number of health issues I tried to raise over the course of our interactions. She was pleasant enough, but clearly wasnt listening. Tended to fall back on a cutesy sort of response at times. !?!?My last visit to Dr. Bacchus and Maryland Primary Care Physicians started with me waiting until 8:10 a.m. to be called into the back for what was a 7:30 a.m. appointment. A very pregnant Dr. Bacchus was in a particularly foul mood that morning. And she took it out on her (now former) patient. Then, a month later, I recd the same Termination of Service that others apparently have. Huh-wha????Best thing that could have happened.Moral of the story that I was taught by Rafeena Bacchus and MPCP? Guys should probably stick to male doctors the same way females are better off with female docs.

My rating and experience with this office is Based on a telephone conversation with the receptionist not the physicians. I called to inquire about switching over to their office from my current primary care physician because my current physician does not do anything electronic, does not have a patient portal, does not offer virtual appointments, and it’s very difficult to get referrals and documents when needed. I wanted to schedule an appointment to meet the doctor and go over my future care with their practice and the receptionist told me they do not schedule meet and greet appointments. She was very passive aggressive and didn’t care about my situation or concerns I was having. At the end of the call I told her I would check with other offices and she said please do that in a way that made me feel I was bothering her. Also, If I was to schedule for my current medical needs she couldn’t get me in until the middle or end of September. The doctors at this office might be the best physicians around but the receptionist is not very receptive to the patients needs or maybe just mine. I wish them luck with their practice.

New to the area, I made an appointment for my 18 year old daughter. The office told me she needed to bring insurance and ID. I told them she did not have ID since she doesnt drive and her high school doesnt issue photo IDs. Office staff told me that as long as I came with her and had ID for myself, it would be no problem. Their first new patient appointment was a month out. Finally got to the appointment day and they refused to see my daughter since she had no ID. I asked for the office manager, who tried to tell me its illegal in Maryland to see someone without ID. I told them i knew that wasnt true because wed set up several other specialist appointments for my daughter with no problem. THEN the office manager switched gears and said it was just their office policy. The worst part? My daughter had an issue she really needed to be seen for and they couldnt have cared less! Not the compassionate care I would hope for in a primary care center.

It only takes one bad experience to ruin someones reputation, which is exactly what happened with Maryland Primary Care Physicians. I recently made an appointment for what I believed and was diagnosed by someone else as an ear infection (more on that shortly). My primary care physician, Dr. Refeena Bacchus, was out of the office and I was given an appointment with Dawn Roelofs, the nurse practitioner, who clearly couldnt be bothered to help me. Dawn was very curt, did not answer my questions, and basically gave up trying to help me. She checked my nose and throat, and confirmed both appeared red and inflamed. However, she said there was too much wax in my ear to see clearly, and because of this she couldnt do anything. When I protested, she said maybe if it wasnt at the end of her day it might be different, but her suggestion was to go to an urgent care facility and let them clean out my ears - which is exactly what I did. After leaving, I went to AllCare Family Medicine and Urgent Care and saw Dr. Chris Duke. Dr. Duke cleaned my ears, diagnosed me with an ear infection exactly as I expected, and gave me a prescription for an antibiotic. This was the level of care and service I expected from Maryland Primary Care Physicians, which was apparently too much work and/or effort for Dawn. I shouldnt have to go to another provider to have my medical needs met because the first cant or wont do their job. Dawn was extremely unprofessional and negligent. Ive never had any issues with Dr. Bacchus, but if Dawns behavior is indicative of the level of care and the culture at this practice, I need to find a new primary care physician.

MPCP Doctors are great. The Front office, however, is atrocious, deceitful, and mendacious.MPCP is charging me $110 for a < 5 minute walk-in to get a vaccination form signed for a doctorate program. Background: I needed to produce a list of vaccinations (which I collected on my own) for a medical clearance.I spoke with my Insurance company. the MPCP coding of a “low level office / administrative” visit was denied. Rightfully so because I need a form signed. And no healthcare.A collections department is now after me for the money. The visit somehow is now coded as both an administrative visit for paperwork.... Annnddd they are now saying they provided health services. Which is a flat out lie.I’ve left messages with the Columbia office to straighten this out to no avail. Perhaps the manager could actually contact the disproportionate number of folks that are frustrated with the financial services rendered? It’s one thing to have slow or ignorant service. It’s another thing to flat out deceive the patients. In so far as I’m concerned, this practice is flat out CORRUPT. I recommend that you DO NOT go there until the physicians and hospital administrators make a change.Thank you, MarkEdit: your response is a complete joke, like your operations and business ethics. I’ve been contacting you all for WEEKS. Like many others on here, I’ve gotten little to no response. That is, with the exception of the collections department, who verbally agreed that it’s unusual and odd.Bottom line: your manager can call me. The only people I’m calling are now local govt reps, ethics commissions, and Ms. Lances managers. Have a great weekend, -Mark

If it were possible to give 0 stars, believe me, thats what this circus deserves.People like the incompetent practice office manager, Dominque, are whats wrong with the medical field in this country. This place is why people still die of treatable diseases in first world countries. My dogs vet is better organized and capable of making and keeping appointments. For 2 years even after many, many, many, corrections and complaints, they spelled my name wrong on official prescriptions and paperwork. The patient portal is seemingly a trash server that no one checks that is solely designed to send spam automated messages; communicating with your doctor over it or for that matter any email is impossible. I wouldnt suggest that you go in with hopes of your doctor even learning your name after several years. And please expect to have to remind them over and over and over the specific medication that you need, because they will get that wrong and send an incorrect prescription to the pharmacy several times over. Forget about needing ANYTHING if your doctor is away or takes a day off, the on-call doctors are non-existent. Expect the office staff to be unable to relay simple messages and act like the gate keeper to some kind of wildly unreachable high tower, as opposed to being able to just get a simple.call back from a licensed medical professional. They will also hold your medical records hostage, making you jump through hoops to get copies of years of medical history. I tried to leave them for a year and it was such a hassle, I was nearly moved to tears when another office said they could have them transferred without me having to deal with them.
