For several years I suffered from debilitating depression. During this period, I had a terribly difficult time finding adequate psychiatric care, adequate therapy - until I found Future Psych Solutions. Dr. Dubose and his staff have been kind and empathetic to me since my first visit, right up to the present. I highly recommend the services at Future Psych. Sounds great from the ad but I have been treated terrible. Can’t reach NP nor anyone from office can help me? My medication was due to be refilled 7/15. I didn’t realize I still needed the provider to approve my refill (medication is supposed to be reduced never stopped suddenly) after finding out I needed her approval I’ve left messages with her and with the office. I was told the doctor does not call for authorization? Craziest thing I’ve ever heard of? I am still without medication. Pharmacy had already left message for nurse practitioner before I had even attempted to pick up my prescription? The NP I deal with and seems the whole office are snobs. You can make 60K and care less if you have a patient that has a need? Continue with your time off, continue with your activities the patient doesn’t matter, they can wait. This is how I am being treated so before you seek treatment here be sure to find out what their procedures and practices are first. You might want to rethink going here.

Future Physic Solutions has been a life changer for me. I have suffered from major depression for over 40 years. I take 2 hours Esketamine treatments, which has me finally feeling normal-even happy-again. Nurse LaToya and Dr. DuBose have provided excellent care. The staff has provided me with a call button - and checks on me during my appointments which really helps with my anxiety. The facility is comfortable and clean- and the staff listens to me. Doctors are fairly nice, but billing feels predatory. Charge $75 just for a refill request, even if you dont actually see a doctor. One doctor convinced us to get an expensive genetic test, saying it would tell him which medications would be most effective, only for him to say the results were inconclusive. Feels like they just want to nickel and dime patients and convince them to get expensive, unnecessary tests. Also, in a few years of using this practice, never once has an appt started on time; once the doctor was 45 minutes late. I expect for things to sometimes get behind and have to wait, but if every single appointment starts 30 minutes late, theres a problem with your scheduling.

Dr. DuBose, Toya, and the entire staff that helped me at Future Psych Solutions are incredible. They truly care about their patients! I have never met a more caring mental health care provider in SC than Dr. DuBose. From the moment we meant via telemedicine, Dr. DuBose was positively the best and most caring person. Toya is truly a gift from God. If you allow them the time and present yourself honestly, they will get you your desired outcome. I was patient and stuck to the treatment plan. Today, I am happier and healthier thanks to Dr. DuBose and his dedicated team!

I was billed for an appt I never had. Ive called to get my fee refunded and address them billing my insurance without seeing me. No return call or help. I plan to file complaints because billing my insurance for visits that never occured is completely unethical.

It’s been over 10 years since I’ve felt excited to see my Psychiatrist. I moved from NC to SC and when I saw Future Psych was covered by my insurance, I immediately made an appointment. I can’t see myself ever leaving Dr. Jamison. She is kind and caring. Everyone at the practice is great.

I spent a month working alongside the professionals at Future Psych Solutions and it was a great experience. The staff was extremely welcoming from the moment I first walked in and at all times I felt like part of the family. I got to see first hand their compassionate nature and how they went above and beyond to make patients feel comfortable and find solutions that worked best for each individual. They took the time to teach and challenge me everyday I was there. At the end of the month, I felt knowledgeable in psychiatry and overall more confident in my abilities as a medical student. I have been a client at Future psych solutions for about six months and see multiple professionals at their office. Everyone has been very kind and knowledgeable and my experience has been great. Dr. Dubose is very knowledgeable, listens, and exhibits great empathy. Katie is approachable and professional. Toya is very welcoming. Also, Stewart is very knowledgeable about scheduling and insurance issues. There are a few people that Im leaving out because Im horrible with names but everyone there has truly been kind and helpful. One of the things that sticks out most is that they offer a wide range of services and utilize newer treatments to help with mental health issues.

We have been so pleased with this facility. The office staff are always so polite and kind and Katie has been a true God send to my son and family. It’s the first time in seven years after seeing numerous counselors and therapist that I actually feel optimistic about my son making progress towards becoming emotionally sound. Katie is so understanding and has been so encouraging and helpful. She is amazing!

The physician and staff are very welcoming and hospitable. Everyone you encounter has a vibrant and upbeat personality that makes an intimidating visit become more relaxing. The physician takes his time to get to know you as an individual so he can determine how he can help you. You don’t feel like just another patient because they make you feel like family. I HIGHLY recommend going to this office.

I spent 6 weeks rotating with Dr. DuBose and all other providers at the office including Dr. Jameson, Dr. McKinney, Dr. Rainer and Holly Lewis. FUTURE PSYCH SOLUTIONS INTERN REVIEWWhile at Future Psych Solutions I have had one of the best experiences. From the very first time I met all the providers and staff, they have made me feel like one of the family. They gave me total access to the inner-workings of a private practice and they are very transparent. They invite you in to sit in business meetings, marketing meetings, case assessments, and they encourage feedback. They do not want any bystanders, but they want you to grow, flourish, and stretch yourself outside of your comfort zones. Because this is a private practice, you get out of it what you put into it, and I was given the opportunity to see how different arms of the mental health profession operate. You get a inside look at different theories that you can observe through co-led sessions with your supervisors and other providers. You also get the ability to administer as well as learn about other assessments you can utilize in practice. Interns at Future Psych Solutions are a part of the practice and we try to contribute back to the practice that is trying to invest in us by giving us the needed tools to finish our educational pursuits as well as a possible home for LPC/A to continue licensure. I have seen first hand by hearing other providers stories how practicums and internships turn into a chance of being considered to be brought on as a provider. I searched all over the state to find a practicum location to call home and I am glad that I was able to find Future Psych Solutions. This is because I have gained the needed insight and tools that will forever shape my psychological endeavors. The staff here have done more to help me with my mental health than anybody else outside of Almighty God. They are professional, knowledgeable, and demonstrate the empathy that patients need. Dr. Dubose is an excellent physician and counselor in his own right, but his fellow staff members are no less qualified and capable of providing care for those who need counseling. My own counselor, Ms. Lorraine Jenkins, is an outstanding example of the kind of staff that work here. They are very nice; however, I have yet to have an appointment start on time. Every single appointment has been at least 30 minutes late, sometimes as much as an hour late. I have to take time off work for these appts, and its very disrespectful to clients. At the least, they could call and let clients know ahead of time that things are running behind.

I am so happy that I was referred to this practice. They think outside the box and arent afraid to try new ways to help their patients. I started therapy and also saw the wonderful Dr. Mckinney. I’ve been going here for at least 2 years now with Suicidal attempts, Depression and Anxiety. This place which is now my family has changed my life completely. It wasn’t easy but with all the help from staff (family) from my Physiatrist Dr.DuBose, Dr. Jamison to my Therapist LeRaine and all other family members i can truly say I’ve made a complete change. I can say I am not the same person I was when I walked through those doors 2 years ago.I truly owe it to God first an second to my family of Future Psych Solutions..I still continue my sessions with my therapist at least once a week and my 3 months follow up appointments with my physiatrist. With many talks an shedding many tears I can say I made it through the tough times by dealing with my pain by learning many coping skills by changing all those negative thoughts into positive thoughts. I did the TMS for depression a machine that stimulates the nerve cells in your brain an let me tell you that machine is the truth that’s all I’m going to say on that. I say this to say when you find a place that you can relate to that’s your team and you call them your family that’s when you know your in the right place and there’s no need to look no further. I Highly recommend FPS to anyone who’s looking for a life changing experience!!

I GIVE THIS PLACE ONE STAR ONLY BECAUSE I COULDNT PUT ZERO !!!! This is the most unprofessional establishment and a waste of money!! A JOKE! I should have listened and never seeked out care here. The staff was very rude and appeared confrontational among themselves They were unaware I was in the room before they quickly put back on the business face. I would NOT recommended getting any services from this business. Dr. Dubose started to act arrogant and rude when I presented information that must have underminded him. I felt belittled and judge based on my knowledge. Any input I gave about my treatment was never considered and his way (more money for me to spend) was always the best option. I dont feel it was based around my plan of care at all!!! It was made apparent that all he wanted was get every penny he could while recommending nonsense. Like a car salesman!! DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYTHING!!! 😤😠

The biggest headache in getting the proper help needed is battling the ins and outs of establishing care providers who communicate and understand your needs in a comfortable environment. Having relocated from DC, I wasnt sure Id be able to find the care I needed in Columbia.I was wrong, it took some time, but I stumbled on FPS and wont look back. Therapist, Prescription Management, and advanced treatment....all in one place. Even in DC, the clinics offering TMS and Ketamine (great reset button for treatment resistant depression,etc.) would not handle the full spectrum of your care. Youll get what you pay for and a lot of smiling faces! Thanks Lily, Holly, Katie, and Stewart!

I have been going to Future Psych for awhile now and I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else! The staff couldn’t be friendlier and you can tell it’s not just a job to them, they truly care!

Dont bother having a referral sent here; theyll never get it and will tell your referring doctor (after 2 months of trying to get an appointment) that they arent accepting new patients (or at least thats what they told my doctor. Thats not what their website suggests). By far the most unprofessional staff Ive ever had to deal with in the state of South Carolina. I will be sending a formal complaint with the SC medical board for this establishment as well.

Dr. DuBose and his practice have saved my life with the innovative ketamine infusions to help my PTSD, chronic pain and depression!! I am so thankful to have been referred here and will keep him as my provider for the ongoing future indefinitely! Plus the new relaxing ketamine infusion room is amazing!

Horrible billing practices with this office. I spent several months going here with no single person from this office informing me that there was a $20 copay for each of my visits (3-4 per week). The office continued filing claims with my insurance and had no issue collecting the insurance claim money, but they failed to inform me that I owed copays for each visit. After months of therapy, I received a $700 bill for copays only. This is highly unethical billing practices as outlined in The DHA Program in which Tricare falls under.My fellow veterans, be cautious when visiting here. The company knows Tricare pays out quite a bit of money in regards to claims, so it’s easy money for Future Psych Solutions. Other insurance carriers will not pay as much as Tricare or Medicare pays for services here. Again, vets and military... be weary.My final thoughts... save your money and go to a more reputable place. 1 star for this place! Very unethical practices here!

Had a great experience with Holly Lewis there, she’s wonderful. The reason for the one star rating is their office policies are absolutely ridiculous and dangerous. I have been on Pristiq for months now and they know this, but they are refusing to refill my medication until I go back in to see Holly Lewis.The only reason I am not able to get in to see her is because I lost my job back in November and with that I lost my health insurance. I cannot afford their $100+ out of pocket fee and their $75 refill fee. I am 22 years old with tons of debt and bills, I don’t have hundreds of dollars just sitting around. I literally have $1 to my name until next payday.Your office has caused me extreme mental anguish and horrible withdrawal symptoms from suddenly stopping Pristiq. I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of compassion and empathy your office has shown me.I understand not wanting to refill my controlled substances like Xanax and Adderall because of their bad reputation, but Pristiq? Really? I thankfully started a new job recently and once my health insurance kicks back in I will be finding a new mental health provider and requesting records from your office.Stay away from these greedy money-hungry people. Absolutely disgusting how you can put a dollar before someone else’s health and safety. Shame on all of you.

After many Doctors and Therapists, we finally found my sons home. There is a tremendous level of trust and respect.

The staff and doctors at future psych seem to genuinely care and are Courteous and attentive to your situation.

Dr. DuBose and the FPS team are wonderful. From the first time I called, I felt like I was their only priority. Stewart and Lily are very attentive, and called to keep me informed while I waited for an appointment. When I arrived at the office, I was greeted immediately, and I didnt wait past my appointment time to be seen. Everyone is very professional, but laid-back and comfortable. This is not the typical stuffy psychiatric office at all! Dr. DuBose and I had a very thorough assessment interview. He discussed the different modalities he utilizes for depression treatment, and answered all of my questions. He is up-to-date on the latest research and treatments, including TMS and ketamine infusions. He is committed to treating depression successfully, and takes his commitment to his patients personally. I left the office feeling hopeful that I will receive the care and relief from depression that Ive longed for. I am looking forward to working with the team at future appointments.

I deal with many health professionals on a regular basis due to a chronic physical ailment. I truly wish those pros could have a few training sessions with Dr. Dubose. I have been under his care for some time now, I have nothing but the highest regard for him. He is a true expert in his field. Dr Dubose is the only health professional I see that approaches you as a human being vs. just another file in his stack for today. I have been struggling with bipolar and drug addiction for over 10 years (dually diagnosed). I recently moved to Columbia from Philadelphia. I found myself in a tough situation mentally and was in need of a qualified doctor and team to assess and help me. I was able to see and be assessed by Dr. Dubose and his team within a few hours of initial call (not days, hours!) I initially spoke over the phone with Stewart, the office manager. He was very knowledgeable, confident, answered all my questions professionally and was the initial reason why I chose Future Psych Solutions. Great dude. I spent an hour with Dr. Dubose. He is very thorough, insightful, non judgemental, and an overall a warm, caring soul. We came up with a short term and long term plan together. He answered all my questions and I left the office confident that I found a doctor that cares about my well being and was invested in my situation health, and recovery. I had extremely high hopes for Dr. Dubose, but he really let me down by freaking out over an experience I shared with him that had nothing to with suicide yet he called the ambulance AND the police on me to take me to the hospital to be admitted. I feel that he cares more about protocol and getting in trouble with authorities rather than the actual recovery of the patient and whats best for them. I felt that he did NOT take into account my situation, thoughts, feelings, or what was best for me. He also lied by telling me he would pay for the ambulance bill if I agreed to go with them to get a second opinion, which I eventually did. I wasnt allowed to drive my own car and had to be taken to the hospital in the ambulance, but Dr. Dubose did not make sure I would have a way to get back to his office to get my car (whether it was because he thought I would be staying at the hospital overnight or not) and I was left to walk alone from Baptist back to his office at 9pm after getting cleared from the emergency room. Not only has he still, multiple months later, not paid the bill he said he would, but he also has NOT called or emailed or anything since I went to the hopsital for that second opinion to follow up with me. I do not believe Dr. Dubose genuinely cared about my situation or recovery at all, so I would be cautious when seeing him. Hopefully Ill never have to see him again after all the stress and turmoil he put me through in a measely 5 hours.
