I have been going here for a few years, my whole family has. I cannot complain about the care Ive received. I see Dr. Morris and my wife and mother in law see NP Beth Baxley. Dr. Morris has been a great health care provider for me, He takes the time to ask questions and listens to my concerns, the lab staff has been great as well. Dr. Morris even saw my wife when Beth was out and didnt like what he heard in her lungs, ordered an xray then immediately sent her to the ER, she had COVID pumonia and was admitted. She has recovered, because he saw a major issue and acted, he has my eternal thanks. NP Baxley is another compassionate health care provider, she takes the time to listen and I feel truly cares about her patients, I love the way she treats my wife and mother in law, a true professional. The BIGGEST issue with The Practice, LLC is scheduling, you will have extended waits to see your doctor. They seem to overbook all the time. I have not found the staff to be rude, they are just overwhelmed. I read many of the reviews, and they are concerning, each of us handle this kind of stress differently, I understand, but the medical care is outstanding here. I cant give them a 5 star because that means they are hitting on all cylinders, and their scheduling IS terrible, looooooooog wait times and the patents have schedules too. The issue needs to be fixed and when it is, a 5 star review will be justified. As for my family, its about health care and hands down, these folks are spot on and they will be our care providers as long as they are in business.

Never go to this place for health care. You will wait 2 hours and they will tell you are next. That is not true. How can any doctor be that far behind. They schedule too many people for same appointment time. I was there for 2 and half hours for a spider bite.

The worst place to go ever for medical care. You better plan to wait minimal of 2 hours, even for routine prescriptions. Twice I have been in and had a visit and my prescriptions not be sent to my pharmacy. Over a week later, after repeated calls, still nothing. I will never go back there ever again.

I really dont like leaving negative reviews, but you should avoid this office if you can help it. I used to go here for prescription refills. Once I waited for almost 4 hours for a refill. I came in today for a referral at 3:05. The guy at the front desk always asks patients for the appointment time when they walk in, so I sat waiting while I heard several people being called back with appointment times an hour ahead of mine. I even heard one lady complain about waiting for her 3:40 appointment because she just needed a referral. and she was seen before me. There is no rhyme or reason in their appointments and they have consistently over-scheduled them in the years I have been seeing this doctor. The only reasons I continue to be seen here are because its difficult to transfer my prescription and now because its almost impossible to see a new doctor since many arent accepting new patients.

Wonderful team!!!! They go above and beyond for their patients and it is so amazing to see! Thank you for always taking great care of me. As someone who works in the medical field, I am excited that I can come to an appointment and turn off. I don’t have to be that patient on top of my own health because I can let go and trust you all! It is the biggest breath of fresh air! Thank you to Mrs. Baxley and her team! Y’all are awesome and very much appreciated!

I like Dr. Crigler but its gotten to where Im not listened to anymore. Hell I can get that with Lexington Med and not have an hour drive to get it. You have to go behind that office staff and put your finger on every move they make. Dropped calls, prescrptions not sent in. If Ive got to do it my self what do I need them for?

My boyfriend goes to this office. We waited in their parking lot today for almost 3hrs after they told him to come in today. Finally got sick of waiting and took him to the ER. When I got a call back from the office, the woman who called me had the nastiest attitude. Im sure the doctors here are good, but some of the staff leave a lot to be desired.

I have been with The Practice for over a year and while I like my primary, Beth Baxley, beyond that the staff is rude and unprofessional. I called several times about a prior authorization for a medication and spoke to Sonya who said a nurse would get back to me, I waited over a week and no call. Called back, same result. Today (1/22/21) I called again and was on hold for over 15 minutes before someone named Jennifer said that she had to investigate the issue and when I inquired about what the issue is and why it hasnt been addressed or why I wasnt notified she became enraged, yelling at me that she was doing me a favor. When I told her I need to be better informed and involved she just kept escalating and getting louder and louder. Totally unprofessional and she should never be working with patients when she has no patience! I will be looking for a new PCP after this and recommend you do as well.

Extremely un professional and have no concept for other peoples safety. Have been sitting here for an appt that was scheduled an hour and a half ago. I have watched countless people who were scheduled an hr after me go back. They constantly say youre next and youre not. They also have no social distancing parameters in play. There are 17 people in this waiting room and they dont care. These people are unprofessional, dont care about your health and should be shut down immediately. Update: 4 Employees have no mask including a dr. 4 hours total

I have seen my Dr here for many years. I feel like he truly cares and does his best to listen to me. I know that I have had to see other doctors here in the past and I have to say that I probably would not come back if I had to see one of them permanently. The wait here is long, but I find it to be about on par for most medical practices. I will also say that it is sometimes hard to get my results when I have had to use the lab. Maybe my standards are low, but a good medical office is going to have a wait time.

Dr. Mattie is a good doctor but schedule management here is terrible. My appointment was made for 3 20 and yet Im still sitting in the waiting room over an hour later. Is there a point to having an appointment at all? Should the just make this a walk in only clinic? People here are nice but they seem to have a very tough time keeping up with the workload they have.

I like my doctor and I am satisfied with him. I have also referred my daughter and many others to him. However over the years I have had to wait up to an hour after my appointment to see him and have done so patiently. I have a company to run so my time is valuable too. But I was late today for an appointment and was forced to reschedule. When I asked the lady whom I believe was the office manager she was rude, cut me off and told me she didnt want to hear it. If it wasnt for my doctor I would be changing practices immediately due to the total disrespect by this woman and will be looking for a new doctor that has a respectable staff soon. I guess whats good for the doctor isnt good for the patient and we dont deserve respect. .

I’m becoming frustrated with ThePractice. They did not refill the requested medication, resulting in me spending the last few dollars I had on medicine I already have. Leave a message with the on call nurse? Impossible.I suffer from chronic anxiety.... this did not help.............Update: 10 months later: I have been having the same issue with my refilling my prescription. As much as I love Dr. Morris, I will be leaving this practice. Call wait times are extremely long, even my pharmacy cannot reach anyone. Rachel is my least favorite when assisting to rectify. Dr. Morris & Mrs Shannon are awesome but the consistent miscommunication between facility and pharmacy is tiresome. I’ve been patient, waiting to see if things would improve but they appear to be getting worse. Hopefully Dr Morris was open his own practice bc Id happily return. Until then, this will be my last prescription from ThePractice, LLC.

I ended up in the ER in September with unexplained chest pains, etc. They told me to follow up with a general doctor. So a coworker recommended this place. I scheduled an appointment and honestly the first appointment went great. The nurse practitioner got all my info on what had been going on with my body, she listened to me and decided that I should come back for a full blood panel to determine what was going on. So a couple of weeks later I went back, they took my blood pressure and I gave my blood. I asked how long for results. Nurse practitioner told me a couple of days. In the meantime, Im still having awful chest pain, shortness of breath, etc and am worried for my health. I kept waiting days, then weeks for a call with my lab results. I called every day multiple times trying to get answers and kept getting put on hold. The receptionist told me that she could see they had my results, but could never get the nurse on the phone to give me the results. Fast forward almost a month later I had to have my cardiologist call them and force them to send over my lab results to him. To this day, 3 months later, the nurse has STILL yet to call me with my results! What an awful way to treat someone who is anxious about their health. But then they want to call me repeatedly about paying for the second exam ($71 for checking my blood pressure). Awful! Ill never go back and I would never recommend this place. My cardiologist actually told me to go to the BBB because this was unacceptable, but I dont have the energy to waste. Dont waste yours on this place either.

Kathleen beth baxley is an amazing nurse. She really takes time to understand what is going on and really explains what your options are. Ive actually never had a nurse take that much time with me and actually care to that extent and to sit and listen. Im really glad so far that this is the new practice I will be going to. I highly recommend The Practice. Also, the staff is amazing and friendly too. Easy and quick appointment scheduling.

Dr. Mattei is absolutely, positively, The Best. I would not ever consider going anywhere else. Its hard to find a doctor that listens and makes you feel comfortable, but he and his trusty staff do that for me on each and every visit. I am always seen in a reasonable amount of time. And have never felt I waited too long, or that things werent handled perfectly..!! He and his staff are amazingly wonderful..! I ask if they have a baby aspirin or aspirin because Ive always heard that is a lifesaver when someone may be close to a heart attack, etc. She said we dont have any aspirin. Now Ive already told them Im having chest pains and they are arguing with me at the window, not attempting to provide the medical care that I need. Im like you are a doctors office and you dont have aspirin, please somebody provide me with an aspirin. It takes at least another 2-3 minutes before someone comes to the door and states my name and asks for me to come back. It appears to be a lab technician or somebody and they ask me to take a seat in the chair and he starts asking me questions, about how long have I been having chest pains, etc. I ask him can you please get me an aspirin Im really afraid Im about to have a heart attack, He says I cant give you an aspirin, I have to triage you first and starts asking me more questions. I said sir, please I need an aspirin and am pretty close to having a panic attack and he says I have to get information from you so I can go explain it to the doctor so he can decide how he wants to treat you. I said sir, by the time you get this information and get it to the doctor, I may be dead and you are wasting valuable time, so now he is arguing with me and not trying to assist. Not one time in the 5 minutes that Im in the room, panicking and scared I might die sitting up in this chair did anyone try to take my blood pressure. He says hes going to call 911 and have them come get me and leaves the room. Im like what the hell people......so I decide I can probably go stop by a gas station grab an aspirin, drive myself to the emergency room and hopefully prevent something bad (the death of me). I walk out the room and look and like 5 people are gathered around looking like a deer in headlights, not knowing what to do. Im ranting and raving as I exit the building that you guys have no clue, this is the absolute worst medical practice Ive ever witnessed. I get in my truck and start looking for a gas station and as Im at a stop sign here comes an EMS Vehicle heading to the doc office. I turn around follow EMS park my truck jump out, waive them down and say that Im the guy that you are looking for. They said, well we were on our way, but the doctors office called and cancelled the request and we are glad you flagged us down, lets see what we can do to assist you. I tell them whats going on they load me on a stretcher put me in the back of the ambulance and first thing they do is hand me 4 aspirin to take while they start taking vitals and before they start asking me any questions. They put and IV in, provide oxygen and work toward calming me down and take me off to Providence Hospital. While in Hospital ER, I phone a supervisor and explain to her how disappointed I am in their service and they need to do a better job and needed her to work with me to solve my problem and get my medication filled before they go on July 4th break and I have to wait until July 8th the following Monday. She is empathetic and trying to help me but she is clerical and not medical and has no authority to do anything so I ask her if I can stay on Hold until she can get a nurse to speak with me and get the prescription issue resolved because I missed my appointment and in the ER because of the stress they have put on me and not treating me in the first place. After 20 minutes of waiting the phone drops the call. Then I call back. Its about 3:30 in the afternoon and they are closing at 5:30 and not open again until the 8th. Im on hold for another 30 minutes and ask her what is taking so long and she explains the nurse is with patients and she cant interrupt them. I explained to her when I saw the nurse for the first visit, she spent less than 5 minutes with me although I was there for almost 2 hours waiting to be seen. contined in next post because out of google character limit

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible Service and Horrible, Horrible, Horrible Customer Service and Medical Care. This Medical Practice, The Practice, LLC has absolutely no clue and or consideration for the care of their patients. I plan to never utilize them again once I get my medication refilled and I will do everything in my power to let customers and prospects know. For starters, my wife and I have been attempting to get some prescriptions refilled for weeks now and phoning and speaking with office personel and asking for call backs and nothing. On July 2nd, 2019 I phoned again and asked an office personnel for some assistance because my medication was stolen and they sounded like a broken record, We need a police report.......blah blah blah......I was simply trying to explain that I wasnt wanting to replace medication that was stolen, but the actual prescription form for some medication that had not been filled and she said I need to put you on hold and get a nurse to speak with me. Im on hold for over 30 minutes before I hang up.On the morning of July 3rd, 2019, I phone again attempting to get this issue resolved and actually speak with a supervisor and have to explain this whole process over again and on the phone with her for over 20 minutes . She says well you have an appointment on Monday July 8th, so you can just come in then and get it refilled. Im like maam I shouldnt have to wait until Monday July 8th to get this resolved Ive been without my prescription for over a week. She asks if I can come in in an hour and while I didnt want to use this practice ever again, I was having some chest pains over the past couple of days and said it would be smart for me to be seen by a doctor.I arrive at the Doctors Office on time, sign in and they are aware that Im coming and having chest pains. A lady at the front desk calls out my name and says Mr. Mizzell, we need you to fill out some paperwork before you can be seen. (Im already and established patient). I let her know that Im having chest pains and I cant fill out the paperwork and in front of their entire waiting room, she snaps at me sarcastically and says youre saying you cant fill out any paperwork and I said No maam Im having chest pains, afraid Im having a heart attack and need to see a doc immediately.continued in next post because of google character limit.....

HORRIBLE. The entire staff is completely incompetent. It took multiple visits for me to get a physical performed. Each time the wait was at least two hours, and by the time you are finally seen, they neither know nor care about why you are there. Its dangerous. I went in for my physical and was informed by the nurse that they would be unable to do the physical without labs first. Labs I would have to come back for on another day. Just to hear this took about an hour and a half. When I came back for labwork, I was told I didnt need the labs and they wouldnt be performing them. The nurse said she didnt look at my chart my previous visit and didnt know what I needed. They agreed to do my physical that day, and I in total waited 2 hours for a rushed, incomplete physical. I was shocked. To top it off, I was charged a copay even though I dont have one with my insurance. When I called my insurance for a reimbursement, I found out that they said I wasnt charged a copay on the claim. So I wont be getting reimbursed for that. Save your time, and find a practice that cares.
