Had a zoom visit, Dr recommended I make an appointment. No such luck. Called and left repeated messages, emailed. Called emergency line. All to no avail. No appointment, looks like they did not submit bill for zoom visit to my insurance. Billed me for whole cost of zoom visit. Had to find a more responsive doctor and have to find out from Anthem of the bill was submitted to them

Doing a colonoscopy during a pandemic was tricky but Dr. Schub was able to get it done.I would have preferred getting some minimal feedback the same day rather than waiting two weeks to hear if anything major was found.

I’m sure he is a good specialist but after leaving his office I didn’t feel assured but his nurse was more helpful then he was so I found another specialist again this is my experience

Dr. Schub is a Very knowledgeable doctor… i usual have my colonoscopy at his office, but the pandemic has change that. This was the first time having a colonoscopy in a hospital ,I was very nervous he made me feel very comfortable and safe . He’s a wonderful doctor.

I have been to Dr Russells clinic and have been seen by him for a procedure done by him at a hospital. I have a major (psychological perhaps) issue of fainting whenever I visit clinics or hospitals .. it is so aggravated that it is not even the sight of a needle or blood, just the thought itself triggers it. I explained this to Dr Russell and his staff and they have been very caring and understanding about it. About Dr Russell himself, he is so positive and cares for you as a patient. Whereas I am not done with the treatment, I felt it right to go ahead and give this review. The portal is also great to get updates and communicate. The response time from his staff is commendable too. I have also been seen by Margaret Carpino (CRNP) and this review cannot end by thanking her and it wont be enough! I am glad that my Family doctor referred me to Dr Schub. Thank you Dr Schub and the family staff.

Honestly, having to change doctors can be very scary but I’m glad I chose Dr.Schub! I had an Upper GI done recently and the process went smoothly. He answered all my questions and even gave me some helpful tips. Also, the staff members were very lovely and i felt so comfortable. Definitely recommend!

Dr. Russell Schub is a great doctor. He is a caring doctor who puts the health of his patients first. His team is top notch. My experience was fabulous. From my first appointment to the actual procedure, I was kept informed of everything and his team checked in to insure that I knew what I needed. I scheduled an appointment with doctor Schub, but instead I got a Physician Assistant and nothing indicated I would not be seeing him. As a second opinion appointment, I would have not made the appointment if I knew I was going to see a Physician’s Assistant..

My appointment was a joke. During my exam the Dr and 2 office assistants were more concerned about double booked appointments then they were with my health issues. After they were finally done discussing (arguing about) their appointment issues (all in front of me) the Dr decided to do a physical exam on me with the door wide open for all passerby’s to see. I was then told I would need an endoscopy and colonoscopy. They were going to call me to schedule these procedures. It’s been a month and no phone call so I’ll be searching for a new doctor. This office seems to be a very unorganized and unprofessional place!

Dr. Schub is a GREAT Gastro Specialist with a very kind, considerate mannerism and extremely knowledgeable in his field.

Dr. Schub has been my doctor for a long time and recently he found something that required referral for a different kind of procedure. Dr. Schub and his staff helped me get the procedure set up and continued to monitor my progress. the result was a good outcome from something that could have turned very serious. I recently recommended Dr. Schub to a friend who herself is a physician and she was quite pleased with Dr. Schub. I recommend him highly.

I took part of the day to get a cardiac clearance - his office cancelled my procedure less than a week before with no reschedule. This was a yearly followup colonoscopy that was absolutely critical. I would have preferred that he recommend another Dr - now I am left to find another office that can do this and effectively start over from scratch. Hes a good doctor - but needs to manage his business better.

I would not recommend this doctor. I felt very uncomfortable. As a female I will only be seeing female doctors after my experience. I ended up using another GI doctor in Columbia.

Dr. Schub and his staff did an excellent job of keeping me informed of the status of my colonoscopy procedure especially in light of the challenging weather (2 - 4 inches of snow) on the day of the procedure. Their communication with SurgiCenter of Baltimore, where the procedure was performed, made everything go smoothly and on time. Kudos to Dr. Schub and his team!

Dont go to this doctor ! He came in and hadnt even looked at my file , he answered no questions and simply told me to take a laxative and check back in a month . The entire visit he was extremely touchy and truly felt uncomfortable , the nurse said nothing

Lets face it, going to the doctor causes a certain amount of anxiety, but from the front office staff to Dr. Schub himself they put you at ease. This is especially appreciative given the nature of this practice.

I had a very thorough teleconference appointment this past week. The appointment started on time and was very easy to do on my phone. I was very satisfied with the entire experience.

From the front desk to the very end they were very nice, understanding and I really do feel like they care.Would definitely recommend.

Doctor Schub is always very thorough and professional. The Beltsville Endoscopy Center however needs improvement with its processes. I was notified with no adequate notice the the corona virus test was scheduled the following day. On the day of the procedure I was notified 5 minutes before my arrival that there was a 2 hour delay.

I love the way Dr. Schub talks to me and explains everything to me thoroughly. The staff is also super nice. I actually came to Dr. Schub because my first GI DR was very rude, impatient and uncaring. Dr. Schub is the total opposite and I highly recommend him for your GI needs. Really glad I switched to him

They charged me extra! They claimed that they did surgery and examination but no surgery was done, he only did the exam.

Fantastic staff! Had an upper endoscopy and the triage nurses and surgical staff made you feel comfortable during your whole visit. The reception ladies are always friendly and patient if you have questions. The nurse doing vitiates was very friendly making you comfortable for your initial and follow up visit. Dr. Schub and his PA were also wonderful and patient and treated you equally and with total compassion towards your care. Great place for GI needs!!

Welcomed by very friendly staff immediately upon entering the office! Quickly filled out my paperwork and was brought back to take my vitals. I was cheerily greeted by the nurse, who took my vitals and other information. I had almost no wait time and was in and out within an hour. Dr. Schub was a good listener and quickly came to the conclusion of the procedure needed. I appreciate all that was done by the doctor and staff! I would recommend this practice to anyone!

So I have been to Dr. Schubs office multiple times for both myself and mother. Dr. Schub was kind, thorough, and patient. My mother had her colonoscopy here after a scary hospital stint and said the experience was smooth and she was well attended to. Both of us got the answers and treatment plans we needed.

My experience with Dr. Schub , unfortunately, was horrible. I was scheduled to see Dr. Schub at the endoscopy center in Greenbelt, MD (big mistake..,..its a warehouse). As my appointment was scheduled for 12:30, and I arrived there at 12:20 pm because I realize being punctuality is critical especially when seeing a doctor. However, I was not prepped for my procedure until 4:00 pm. I did not interact with Dr Schub before or after the procedure. I was anesthetized, upon awakening the results of my exam were tossed on my gurnie (by an employee), and told that my test results were OK. I initially asked Dr. Schub would he accept me as a new patient in Feb, 2020. I witnessed him treating patients at his Ellicot City facility on many occasions. He was very professional and personable. Thus I considered him a rare breed as far as doctors go in this age and day. However, none of that professionalism was exuded that day. That visit was a very long and disappointing day. Dr Schub, personable is not required but never dismiss professionalism!!

Dr Schub is amazing and Ive been seeing him for years. The office isnt always good about responding to phone calls, patient concerns or issuing payment refunds made for co-pays or facility deposits for procedures that do not end up taking place. The attached endoscopy center is a plus.

Dr. Schub’s team was very effective in the resolution of what felt like an endless episode of poor health. I am forever thankful.Dr. Shub’s follow up on March 30, 2020, was thorough, insightful and most of all He was very concerned about the best treatment going forward. During our video appointment, Dr. Shub explained his examination procedure as a means to obtain a further determination of treatment going forward. The Pandemic was of grave concern and weighed heavily on my decision to proceed. Dr. Schub’s office assured me that all pandemic medical protocols were being followed at an alternate site Dr. Schub was working out of in Greenbelt, Md. Dr. Schub performed the procedure flawlessly and with great care. I was very impressed with the detail and precision that the facility followed to ensure the safety and well-being of the patients.Dr. Shub was very instrumental in ensuring that there were no compromises to my safety.

***Update*** Dr. Schub called me regarding this review which means he cares what people and his patients think of him and/or he doesn’t want a negative review out there with his name attached. Either way I can certainly understand and appreciate that. While discussing the review he spoke to me at length about why he made the recommendations he did during my visit which helped me understand better but had this been done at the time of my appointment maybe the negative review might not exist. I don’t really have a lot of patience for things such as what happened during my visit so that is what is swaying me to only adjust my one star to a three. I still have no idea what is causing my symptoms and I am going to follow up with a different doctor so in essence I wasted my time.The ease of making an appointment for new patients was a breeze but that is where the positives begin and end for me. I made my appointment for 3:15, I arrived at 2:30 but I did not get seen until after 4:00 and that was only after I walked out to wait for my ride in the waiting room. One of the receptionists saw me and asked me about paperwork which lead to me saying I was never seen and that the wait was beyond ridiculous. Conveniently the doctor is in and could see me now so I reluctantly go back to be seen. Now of course this made the visit awkward. I didn’t want to waste a day taking off work, coordinating my way to and from the office and working extra hours over the weekend to make up for this appointment so I muscle through. I let him know my symptoms and immediately I feel he’s being dismissive and I don’t feel what I have to say is being valued. If this was an isolated incident I wouldn’t take my time to leave any review but unfortunately the level of care with doctors in this area is appalling to say the least. I have lost over 50 pounds by myself and we didn’t even discuss that his attitude was in order for us to use the camera to see inside you have to lose weight because of your weight. I’m making FREGGIN progress for Christ’s sake but to dismiss and lessen that and not give any alternative is mind blowing. I can’t say I’ll be back and I can’t say I’m going to look for another doctor because at this point I’m beyond done. As soon as a medical professional sees you are overweight they are quick to say lose weight like that is the be all end all to every ailment and illness. I see why some people self diagnose with stuff like this going on.
