Its always a great experience at the Kindred Hair & Skin Center. The staff is friendly and willing to provide assistance and Dr. Kindred is super engaging and knowledgeable. Because she cares about you as a person, she tells you the truth, does her best to resolve your issues, and does so without trying to sell you a bunch of expensive products that you dont need. She is sensitive to your needs and although she is busy because her expertise is in demand, she will always make time for each of her patients without making them feel rushed. Ive been a patient for many years and will continue to support.

I first learned of Dr. Kindred 2 years ago, when in search of a new dermatologist for my hair loss. Initial appointment took a while to get scheduled but is WELL 👏🏽WORTH 👏🏽 the wait! Once Dr. Kindred met with me, she did an initial examination of my problem areas and after some discussion have indications that I may have CCCA. She explained to me how healthy hair follicles grow and what happens when damaged. She created my own personal HAIR MAP, which also outlined possible treatment plans. Her BEDSIDE/CHAIRSIDE Manners are EXCELLENT! She’s empathetic, knowledgeable and very professional.Prior to seeing Dr. Kindred, I had a “botched” biopsy from another dermatologist and it was inconclusive! Needless to say I agreed with Dr. Kindred to have her repeat my biopsy. Thankfully SUCCESSFULLY DIAGNOSED with CCCA and some traction alopecia. From there, we’ve have successful treatment to repair 1 area with laser treatment and later another area started (due to stress) and we continued to work a treatment plan that suits my concerns and budget.

Yesterday was my first ACTUAL visit to the Kindred Hair and Skin Center. I had one tele-visit appointment with Dr. Kindred last year and I loved everything about the appointment. Unfortunately, as of yesterday, I decided not to return as a patient. When I got to the office, I paid my copayment and was asked to have a seat in the waiting area. Besides the one seat that was already occupied, the rest of the seats were still facing the walls. I walked into the waiting area and I stood there mildly confused because: 1. I didnt come to this doctors office to move around furniture because I do not work here, 2. If I wanted to move or pull out a chair, I was unsure as to whether or not there was a certain way the chairs should be arranged due to COVID and 3. The chairs should have been available and accessible prior to patients showing up. It was simply unprofessional to have patients pulling out their own chairs. My appointment was scheduled for 10:30am and I wasnt called back into the doctors room until around 10:55am. After an assistant assessed me for why I was seeing Dr. Kindred around 11:00am, I didnt see another person until 11:50am when they popped their head in the room and stated that Dr. Kindred had gotten behind in a procedure and would be in to see me shortly. My appointment was at 10:30am!!!! So, between 10:30am and 11:50am, thats 1 hour and 20 mins and I still hadnt seen Dr. Kindred and I was JUST being given an update of when I may be seeing her. I was simply not impressed. I went to the front desk and asked for a refund of my copayment and I left. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed because I had made this appointment 3-4 months ago just to get there, wait 1.5 hours, and still not be able to see her because I was now late for other obligations. I have heard soooooo many great things about Dr. Kindreds practice, but office professionalism and first impressions are everything and I was let down tremendously.

I tried several times to book an appointment. Receptionist overbooked and when I called, she told me that she would return my call. Whereas, in the meantime pay my copay. I never received a call back and I am glad I did not pay my copay. Why would I pay the copay when clearly, you all could not schedule me an appointment? That would have been money lost. Scamming at its finest. Highly disappointed!

Lot of confusion regarding appointments, and billing. I’ve been trying to contact the office daily for the last 2 weeks to pay a bill (that has had to be corrected multiple times) and haven’t been able to reach anyone. Very disappointingUpdate 6/30After finally getting in contact with the office manager (2 months later), and having the bill corrected. I paid my bill in full and thought I was done with this establishment. Unfortunately I was wrong. 3 weeks later, I have received a miscellaneous bill stating that I owed additional funds for a service I had already paid for. After speaking with the billing department (apparently billing department is outsourced, and very helpful I might add), I was directed to the office manager, who was extremely rude and condescending. She was unable to explain why the additional money was owed and told me that its just a fact of life that you have to pay the bill, without context or understanding as to what I was being billed for.I will never return to this place of business solely due to the staff, specifically the office manager. She completely lacks customer service skills. As a healthcare provider myself, I would never want my patients to have the experience Ive had.For the record, Dr. Kindred is great and has great bedside manor! I felt comfortable with her and felt that she took her time to understand my concerns!

I made my appointment online. I later received a call stating I could get an earlier appointment. I was thrilled, because the friend that referred me raved about her hair treatment. I was sent a link to fill out all the paperwork online, which I completed. Two months later, drove 40 minutes to get there on time, only to be handed a laptop to fill out paperwork again. I sat in the office for over an hour and 30 mins waiting to be seen by the doctor. From there I felt like I was at a sales pitch. Finally, someone was supposed to come in and schedule me with a different doctor for a procedure. I waited for about 15 minutes and just walked out and explained to person at the front desk. They didnt have a clue. One of the ladies was nice enough to try to find out what was going on. The person finally told her she would have to call me. I did receive a text with the doctors name and number.

I’ve struggled with severe eczema since I was a little kid and I felt helpless at times because it seemed like I would never be able to manage the flare-ups. I told her that the flare-ups would get so bad that I would wear long sleeves and pants in 90 degree weather just to hide my eczema. I’ve been going to Dr. Kindred for years now and she has seen my skin at its worse. Thankfully, over the years that she has been treating me, she’s been able to find out what works best to treat my kind of eczema, and now I can rock shorts, short sleeves and dresses with confidence. You can truly tell how much she cares for each of her patients. I will always be grateful for how much Dr. Kindred has helped me in my skin journey. She is absolutely wonderful and her staff that helps run her office are the kindest!

Absolutely the worst customer service ever! I scheduled an appointment two months ago and never received a confirmation call or email, the day of the appointment I get a email about 30 mins before my appointment that it had been cancelled. This is absolutely ridiculous especially since the phone lines are always unavailable! Don’t waste your time booking with this business!

I am very unhappy and unsatisfied with Kindred. My son have severe eczema. I have to be the one to constantly contact Kindred for updates. They were not concern as much as I expected. My experience with them was terrible.

Dr Kindred and her wonderful staff have helped me deal with and keep my psoriasis in check, even during this pandemic. They are always kind, courteous and efficient.

Great dermatologist! Personable, not rushed, and genuinely concerned with educating and caring for the unique needs of each patient. I went to Doctor Kindred for the first time to have a mole checked (it was fine) and she took the time to educate me on what are signs to look for in troublesome moles, how moles evolve, and even what specific qualifications I should look for when purchasing sunscreen. She could also tell just by looking at the sun damage on my skin that I was good about wearing sunscreen on my face, but was probably a runner because of the damage to my arm and chest. Highly recommend!

Dr. Kindred solved what I thought was an acne problem in my first visit! After having been prescribed antibacterials for years that either didnt help or made the issue worse, Dr. Kindred looked at it from a different angle - yeast. I am so thrilled to have found her. The environment at this center is so warm and friendly as well. 5 stars!!

I have never experience the inability to reach the a doctors office EVER!! I just left the office after waiting 43 minutes to see the doctor. Doctor is GREAT!! But need to reach the office for ANY REASON .... HORRIBLE aka IMPOSSIBLE. I need a doctor note to have my son return to school faxed or otherwise, but cant reach the office for a simple request and my son can not return without. I must drive back to office 45 minutes away after multiple attempts and no return call. Neither the phone services company say they cant even reach the office. I attempted to fax and BUSY LINE... constantly!! DOCTOR 4 STAR ... Reach office 1 STAR

I havent been but have heard great things what I am really appreciating after reading the comments is the response from Dr Kindred. She has taken ownership of a consistent problem that I had a issue with which was the call center and not being able to reach someone in the office and rectified the problem. It gave me so much anxiety about my up and coming visit for my 6yr old daughter. The only thing I wish the call center would have told me is what I should or shouldnt do to her hair before the visit. So to those reading the reviews please give her a chance I have been referred to her by my daughter pediatrician as well as my coworker along with another dermatologist. I would say she is pretty solid. This is my personal opinion and was not paid to write it. I like you base my decisions on reviews a lot. I will do a update so that whoever is reading this will know that its real. Give our sister a chanceUPDATE: I forgot to tell you guys that the visit was wonderful everyone was extremely nice. As of today I am very upset right now as I have recieved a letter from collections stating I owe money. This issue was supposed to be taken care of once when you had that call center number where you couldnt be contacted directly. There was a cancellation misunderstanding and I thought it was taken care of. I still recieved another bill after that so I then was fortunate enough to talk to someone in your office because you stopped using the other service. I was told it was taken care of yet here we are in a pandemic and I get a collections letter on top of all the other Bills I have to pay. There are a lot of things I dont play about and my credit is one of them. I pray that you get better book keeping because this isnt good.

I don’t usually take this route but I’m so done! I’ve called 3x to no avail! What is that? No one has returned my call nor has the pharmacy received a return call!! I went to that doctor to find out how much they charge for True Sculpt fat reduction procedure. When I was making an appointment, no one told me that I have to pay to receive an estimate for procedure. When I came to the office, the doctor spent three minutes with me telling that I am a good candidate (like I dont know) and then she left with with her stuff to make measurements. The stuff was a nurse and a new-hire. The new-hire was making measurement, at least she was trying and the nurse was explaining how to do it correctly. It was not a good idea to practice on me. They used pieces of plastic with markings on it (cross) to measure the area of work. When I was making an appointment, I was told that the treatment is $750 per area. To me area means low abdomen and middle abdomen. I was expecting something around $1500 for one treatment of both areas. However, they told me that my low abdomen will cost me $1500. Another words it is not true that that charge per area. Their area is only half of my area. I was very disappointed about how they calculate the price. It seemed to me as overpricing. So, two weeks later, i received a bill for $119 for office visit and my responsibility is $59. I have to pay $59 for estimate of the procedure I am not going to do. In good offices, they told you in advance that the appointment will cost me. This is not a good office. They overprice for True Sculpture and they charge for estimate. This doctor is dermatologist. She has nothing to do with fat reduction but yet, want to make money on everything possible. It would be a good idea if they charge a reasonable price and be transparent and upfront with their Office visit charges. It is new business. They moved from another location and it is not a good practice to treat people in new area like this.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. KINDRED SHE REMOVED A CYST FROM MY FOREHEAD AREA. SHE DISCOVERED DURING THE PROCEDURE THAT IT HAD ATTACHED TO BLOOD VESSELS. SHE WAS ABLE TO REMOVE THE ENTIRE CYST WITHOUT IT BREAKING...I WAS VERY NERVOUS ABOUT HAVING IT REMOVED AND THE SCAR THAT IT MAY LEAVE BUT SHE REMOVED THE CYST AFTER ENSURING I WAS NUMB AND THE STITCH HEALED BEAUTIFULLY AND THE SCAR IS ALMOST UNNOTICEABLE.

Call to make an appointment the scheduling Jennifer was rude . When she ask me what insurance I have and I explained I have USFHP she said she never heard about it. I explain it is Tricare Prime and she said she won’t think they accept the insurance. I got a referal through my insurance before call in because is Normally required so I know they accept my insurance. After she understood the insurance end up that they don’t have anything available until end of October. This receptionist didn’t have any manners at all answering the phone.

Just trying to cancel an appointment because I’m running late at work and the number just says they’re office hours are9-4 Monday thru Thursday but it’s noon on Tuesday and there’s no way to talk to anyone or leave a message to cancel my appointment!
