My experiences at The Colonies Dental Center have been excellent. The staff is so kind and welcoming. The dental assistants are awesome! Dr. Boyd is committed to his patients. He took his time with me and made me feel completely comfortable while working on my fillings. He was excellent with my husband and 2 year old daughter too! I would recommend him to everyone!

I dont know where to start. Dr. Boyd and his staff are phenomenal. I havent been going to him for but a year but as soon as I sat in the chair for the first time, I knew that was the place I wanted to be. I have never found such a good dentist that cares about his patients so much. He takes his time with everything he does to make it the best it can be. Its such a fun and comfortable environment. I would highly recommend him, especially if you are looking for a family dentist. He never disappoints. :)

Most pleasant experience I have ever had at the dentist. My hygienist (Brie) was so kind and we connected by talking about video games!! Dr. Boyd put things in terminology I could understand and made me feel a lot better and more comfortable about coming in to have work done. The office ladies at the front desk had such friendly smiles and were very personable. Definitely recommend!!!

I recently went in to have a couple of cavities filled, and Dr. Boyd did an excellent job. He kept me informed and at ease every step of the way through the procedure. However, the atmosphere at The Colonies is what really sets them apart. I felt like I was amongst friends and that the staff saw me as more than just a customer. Coming here for an exam and cleaning was the best dental experience of my life. Ive had all kinds of dental work done that started when I was a kid, and Ive always been nervous to go back as a result. Jenny, Brie and Dr. Boyd all made me feel completely at ease - I actually enjoyed being there. Youll never want to go anywhere else!

Professional service with a friendly atmosphere is unbeatable. You are greeted and taken in at the desk by pleasant, capable staff; you spend very little time in the waiting room; technicians are quite competent and friendly - and much as I regret, have to confess that Dr. Boyd is too. They never leave me any reason to gripe & complain, and thats not how a dental clinic should be!

Dr. Boyd is kind and gentle. He seems to have a genuine concern for the health and comfort of his patients. He always spends the necessary time needed to explain things to you and makes sure you are aware of all your options. His staff is very friendly and the office is a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Dr. Boyd was very kind and gentle with my daughter this morning. She did not know what to expect regarding the procedure but he reassured her and was patient, giving her the time she needed to relax and prepare. He made the experience so much less traumatic for her. All the staff are very knowledgeable and always conduct themselves with not just pleasantries but with class and professionalism.

I have been going to The Colonies Dental Center for years. The staff are exceptional, friendly and very caring. Dr. Boyd and his staff carefully perform the examination and cleanings and keep me informed of possible work that I may need in the future. However, Dr. Boyd does not recommend work until it is needed. I give the Colonies Dental Center five out of five stars.

After dealing with an excellent dentist for over 20 years, Dr. Eric Boyd took over the practice. I have had the opportunity to have several procedures done and he has always been informative, helpful, and provided care that has made my daily life easier. His approach and treatment plans allow me to decide on what I can do and when to do it. I am glad I gave the new guy a chance almost four years ago and I can honestly say I dont have any qualms about worrying about dental care as the doctor and staff at the Colonies Dental Center are there when I need them.

Dr. Boyd and his staff are some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable professionals I have ever known. They will always make you feel like family and not just a customer. I recently went in for a filling and I arrived feeling very nervous and agitated and within 5 minutes I felt very comfortable and confident that I was in good hands. I no longer have a fear of dentists and thanks to Dr. Boyd and his co-workers, my 5 year old son will also never be afraid of dentists.

All around amazing experience. From check in with the super friendly front desk ladies, to the super calming assistants, to the patient and gentle Dr Boyd. I had extreme anxiety. Dr and assistant walked me through every step, including reminding me to breathe and getting me a blanket. I felt absolutely no judgement. Dr also gave me different treatment options so I could figure out what worked best for my budget. Already switched my daughter there. Thank you everyone.

I had not been to a dental care professional for several years due to the pain I have experienced with previous dentists. I was developing some noticeable deterioration on my front teeth and I was dreading having to have them worked on, but if I put it off any longer I was at risk of losing at least one of the teeth.Dr Boyd and his staff are amazing! The repair work is incredible, you cant even tell the tooth was damaged to begin with. The best part for me was that the process was completely painless! That, and I am able to start smiling again without feeling self-conscious. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be under the expert care of Dr Boyd and his staff.

This was a routine hygiene and exam visit. I rarely have to wait, as the scheduling is very good. The staff are pleasant and professional. Dr. Boyd is personable and thorough. He asks questions and provides information and education as needed.

My past history includes some traumatic dental experiences so I am always a little leery when a procedure is recommended to me. Dr. Boyd and the dental staff at The Colonies have greatly eased my apprehension. Dr. Boyd is very knowledgeable and passionate about dentistry. He has always taken the time to explain exactly what is being done and why. He patiently lays out all the options and discusses them with me. I have never felt pressured, judged or ignored at this dental office. It has been the most positive experience possible while being at the dentist.

Ive been a long term patient of this practice. Dr. Boyd is patient centered, and takes the time to ensure the best possible outcome. He and his team listen, educate and include me in every decision. Moving to Columbia 2 years ago and not having a local dentist for myself and family, Dr. Boyd and his staff made me feel right back at home the second I walked in as if it wasnt my first time. The biggest thing for me was the fact that Dr. Boyd spent the time to sit down after my cleaning to explain the process moving forward and allowed time for questions so I didnt leave in the unknown.

Ive been going to this dental center since 2002 and I cant recommend it highly enough. When the primary dentist retired several years ago, one had to wonder if things would change. Not only did they not change, Id say with Dr. Boyd in charge it is even better. Every member of the staff is a pleasure to work with. The facilities are modern and up-to-date, they never recommend unnecessary procedures (which means they are trustworthy) and the prices are reasonable, IMHO. Switch. Youll be glad you did.

I was a little nervous about having a complete stranger go through my mouth with all its issues. My Dental hygienist assured me it was ok and constantly checked on me to make sure I was as comfortable as can be. The staff are always beaming with smiles and treat you like family. Going to a Dentist office has never been this pleasurable! My whole family goes there and I would recommend them to anyone that is a little skeptical about the experience or has had a less desireable experience elsewhere.

This Dentist has the ABSOLUTE WORST bedside manner I have personally experienced and I have been a nurse for 20 yrs. Those poor girls that work in this office must hate working here.

I was referred to Dr. Boyd from a family member and I am so glad that I gave them a call. One thing that really made me fall in love with The Colonies Dental Center is that everyone is so nice and happy. You feel like family when you go in for your appointment. Last but not least, Dr. Boyd told me I didnt have to worry about any pain, and weve all heard that from dentists before, but Dr. Boyd meant it. I had quite a bit work done on my teeth today, and I didnt feel a thing. He keeps you in the loop too. He lets you know whats going on every single step of the way. He will tell you, youll hear these loud things and this is what they are. He takes the fear out of going to the dentist. After nearly two decades of what could only be described as neglect and abuse of my teeth, my mouth was in dire need of rehabilitation. I had attempted to seek help for that rehabilitation many times over the years with many different dentists. Each time I was met with judgement, repremand, or at best indifference, until I met Dr Boyd. Once in his chair, he was very thorough and informative when diagnosing the issues in my mouth and prescribing the best ways to correct them. He addressed each one by explaining not only what caused them but what future problems could be avoided by treatment without any judgement or negativity. After multiple appointments, he has corrected my problems and helped me overcome any financial obstacles that I had. Out of any denist Ive ever had he has been the most professional and amicable and I do recommend him to all my friends and family.

Recently moved away from the area. I hope my husband and I find a dentist as great as Dr. Boyd!
