I have really enjoyed and been thankful for the services provided by Ms. Tobias. She is a wonderful therapist and goes the extra mile.The one negative thing about my experience has been the cost. My last therapist sessions were almost half the amount I pay at Evans and it saddens me to think that if I have to tighten my budget, counseling will be discontinued.

This is my very first counseling session. My counselor Bowman made me very comfortable within the last sessions I have . She is very understandable. She give prompts/homework to do after the session. You can be yourself and speak how you would like without being judged . I feel like she is my friend 10/10 recommend

I seldom write reviews, but I want to thank the staff at Evans Counseling for being amazing. They made me feel like family. My therapist Tyanna was very professional. The front desk staff was courteous and supportive. They provided me with payment options and plans. Overall great experience!

I began to go to counseling due to being extremely stressed out and depressed due to some current events in my life. I’ve had to reschedule a couple of times due to family issues and they were completely understandable and ask me about it every time I call up there to schedule. I highly recommend them.

Let me just as that I LOVE My Therapist Tyanna. She is very professional and at the same time relatable. She puts me at ease to open up and discuss my issues. The sound advice provided as well as the post-therapy assignments are very helpful to me and push me to go a step further in my journey. After my sessions with Tyanna I feel as though a load has been lifted, I feel lighter and also have a sense of relief. I called Tyanna Evans to express interest in receiving counseling sessions. After a brief discussion about what I was looking for in a therapist, Mrs. Evans recommended her associate, Ms. Tawana Tobias. I started Christian teletherapy counseling sessions with Ms. Tobias and was amazed at how at ease she made me feel. I had never been to a therapist before so I was a little nervous at how I would be received. Ms. Tobias was very reassuring, and understanding with a calm personality. I was quite relaxed talking to her and felt like she really wanted to help me. Im looking forward to working with her and reclaiming my happiness.

Ive avoided therapy for years for multiple reasons but from the moment I reached out to them theyve addressed every concern with extreme patience. Even the front desk personnel are some of the kindest people Ive met. They give me hope that Ill be okay now.

Tawana Hayes-Tobias is our marriage counselor and shes awesome!!! I really like how she breaks things down in a non-biased way. She even mailed my fiancé and I book on love languages and its been very helpful!

Wow. I truly don’t know where to begin with how this business saved my life & a few other people I know! I’ll start with the administrative assistants & how helpful they are with any & I mean ANY questions I may have about the process of scheduling, insurance companies, available clinicians, & even warmly greeting me upon each visit! There have been days where I was having a horrible time & one of the admin assistants would quickly turn my frown upside down! They truly make the environment a peaceful one. As far as I know from personal experience & speaking with friends who have also sought counseling here, the clinicians are genuine with their care & the expertise they provide through sessions. You can easily feel & see they are NOT doing what they do for money or any other sketchy ulterior motives! If you’re in need of someone to just listen to you vent about a breakup, a parent, your kids, an injury, anything that brings you stress or makes you sad, I implore whoever reads this, to contact them as soon as possible to get help! You won’t regret it!

I have been attending Evans Counseling for a few months now, referred by my doctor. I was given Richelle Bowman. AWESOME therapist. I felt some real change in my life while working with her. Shes a funny, down to earth person who makes you feel like youre just talking to your friend or sister, rather than a therapist/client relationship. Shes caring, engaging, and very empathetic. I had a great experience with Richelle! However, on the other hand, not too impressed with the clerical staff, Shayla or the owner, Tyanna Evans. When I first began my therapy, I let Richelle know that I worked in an on-call hospital setting and because of this, along with Evans operational hours, there may be a few times Id have to cancel or reschedule due to work conflicts. I also let Richelle know I have a very tumultuous family that requires me to make unexpected trips to my hometown. I had an appointment with Richelle on 6/28, and called at 6am to cancel. I had to make an unexpected trip to my hometown due to a family member being hospitalized. Despite my situation, Shayla refused to even hear the reason and kept stating Id be charged for today. I told her that I would reschedule for Wednesday, 6/30. After I scheduled with her, my family member called and stated how the other family member would be having surgery during the appointment time on Wednesday, so I cancelled with intentions of calling back in an hour or so to reschedule for my regular time. Within ten minutes, the owner, Tyanna Evans, called me to tell me Im being discharged lol. What a crock. Not to mention, in their loads of paperwork they have you sign, the termination part states, I will not terminate the therapeutic relationship without first discussing and exploring the reasons and purpose of terminating, (written in their own documents/policies). I never got the chance to explore the reasons and purpose of termination. Ms. Evans called me and left a voicemail just stating I was being terminated, with no reason whatsoever. So, with that said, Richelle Bowman... rocks. If you must go here, request her. However, as far as the business side of it, shady. They didnt want to, nor care to hear why I was canceling. Instead of trying to work with me, they immediately discharged me in the middle of my therapy. Ive been a good patient, always on time, paying my dues, and trying to work with them as much as possible. If its that easy to get rid of patients like that, Im fearful of Ms. Evans true intentions.

My therapist is great and I am so happy to be working with them.

The environment was peaceful, and the experience I had here was nothing less then growth. The counselor really help me out work out a traumatic event in my life, and I’m so thankful for her help !

Ive been going to Ms.Evans for about a year now and have really made a lot of improvement she is a great therapist.
