2nd year camping here and its such a great experience, lots of activities for all ages, campsites are spacious and some even have plenty of vegetation to give you that wilderness feeling and some privacy, tent sites are primitive, theres water sources that are shared by multiple campsites, theyre scattered throughout the campground so you may have to walk to get to 1, theyre located by the road so if your campsite is the one closest to it you wont be disturbed by the other guests, you can enjoy the river, there are some boulders on the beach you can sit on if you like and just listen to the water, there are also RV/trailer sites or cabins for rent if you are more of a glamping kinda person, camp store has most essentials so if you come prepared you probably wont need to leave until you checkout

I do not recommend this campground. I checked in with my friends at about 6pm on Friday and was told to leave at 8 am Saturday morning because of noise complaints. My group was quiet and respectful. They didnt even give a warning they simply said you have 1 hr to leave. They also refused to refund me the price for Saturdays after kicking us out. Ive been camping my whole life and Never been kicked out.

I dont recommend this campground! We spoke to them on the phone prior to booking and were told that visitors are allowed for extra $$$. We booked the site, when our guests arrived, they didnt let them in due to overcrowding on long weekends! They drove for an hour and a half during bad storm to see us , a lot of sites were empty, but there was nothing to convince the manager to let them in. Also we booked a tent site under the impression that well get water and electric only to find out that none of their tent sites have that! The manager was very nasty on top of it. Stay away from them! They lie to you to get your money, very dishonest people! One star is too many, but there was no other option!

Im giving 5 stars for the feel I have every time I come to this place and area. First of all the cabin trailers are new and nice. The water is a little stinky assuming because its well water or something but we managed. Nice feel in these new cabins amd my family loves it. On the grounds you can fish right in the delaware River. Great views of the river North and South...sun amazing and even when cloudy the clouds find a way to amaze within the river valley. The area has some great farm fresh buys at Marshalls Farm market down the road. Always come home with some great apple butters and jams. Amazing variety and all taste amazing. Couple of restaurants and eateries in the area top off the weekend. Embrace the back country feel. Could cross over the Delaware River Gap for amazing shopping and a plethora of restaurants if interested. 15 min away. Have a pool when its warmer but Ive only come in spring and fall. Halloween was awesome at Marshalls as well. My daughter loves the playground as well....😬

Hit or miss with this campground.Bathrooms deplorable ,nonethelessither than that management is doing a decent job. From the reviews it seems customers are treated different. Not sure what that is about, however being a business owner I can see having difficult entitling and unreasonable customers that can’t make a difference between a large corporation( amaz, Walmart, Costco, ) and a small business. On the same note, the management seems to be slipping away from focusing on experience in preference of more money making ( a regular decay of every business that is growing and owner family gets larger)My 2 cents here. Might be wrong..

Dirty bathrooms when they were open. They were closed completely half of the time. Rude staff not wearing masks on the bus (young kid who was a Boy Scout wearing a Trump hat). We were told there were no reservations for rafting and we had to be at the office at 8a for first-come-first-served service. When we were there at 8a, we were told the campground took a reservation for a large group and we would have to wait until 1pm. It ruined the day and goes to show how much they really care about their campers. And to top it off, our tent site smelled like urine. For these sub-par amenities, I wouldn’t expect it to be so expensive.

We go camping there every year and even during COVID this year, we felt safe and enjoyed our stay. The pool was open (with restrictions on number of people allowed at one time, but with no issues), the water was clean and warm. The regular bathroom was closed during our stay but we were able to use the toilet and showers located outside. The porta potty near our tent site was in acceptable condition - it was visited once during our stay (3 nights) for hose washing and sanitizer refill. My kids loved the playground and fishing in the river. We also did a rafting trip which was awesome!

Simply put, I wont be back here. I even considered checking out on the first day here. Next to the river, so tons of bugs. Quiet hours begin at 11pm, but nobody enforces this rule at all. This meant screaming kids and dogs barking until midnight. The sites are poorly marked, enough so that Im still not sure I was in my assigned site. The neighboring sites had people getting in and out of their cars after midnight, causing all the lights to go on and off whenever they relocked, and then sound the horn when they activated their car alarm. During the day, two separate car alarms went off for over a minute each. Emergency vehicle sirens went off at least five times that I counted. I was looking forward to a simple 2 day relaxing trip, and got nothing like that. Im leaving frustrated.

I was so grossed out I would not myself or let my girls shower in there shoes or not. Ended up having to boil water and take sponge baths and wash hair from out water containers. Based on that maintenance it made me steerclear of entering the pool area for fear of poor maintenance.

This has by far been the worst campground Ive ever been too. Ive been to many. Campers parked all out of order so we have a camper in our site, so they could accommodate the big group they had.. management should have never let them set up that way. With bringing teenagers I spent nearly $100 a night for half a campsite and I literally mean half. . . .. Staff accusing us of sneaking a person in because they knew him and saw his truck parked across the street because there isnt room to park here.. and Yes we had permission for that vehicle across the street, and yes said person was paid for the entire weekend.. Not to mention the bathrooms are disgusting. Thankfully we were close enough to go home and shower and not pay for that as well. My site ended up being enough for my 19 ft trailer and a tent. And about enough room to touch the trailer next to me. Police have been here as well. Forget the 11 pm quiet time. It was 1 am the last night we were there and people were still screaming and yelling. I will never spend my money here again. I didnt have any issues with the office until they wanted to charge me $48 to leave my camper for two hours because we had to leave early and with the ditch in front of my site and the mud we couldnt pull our camper out.

Very good campground for families. However, over the last 5 years is like the profit from TV was there and thats there #1 motive. Ex:Well blow up your air mattress for 1$. So profit seeking plus turning down 6 kids who look forward to camping all year because you want to close early or on time or just get home has this family seeking a new campground. #lostthespiritofcamping

We have enjoyed Delaware Family Camp for more than 4 seasons and even though we have ventured off and tried other camp sites we always come back to Delaware. It is a CLEAN and safe place. The Staff has always been most helpful with us even at the last minute. I know almost everyone by name, and they know our group and our favorite sites. We always go in large groups and get 4-6 sites next to each other and set up gazebos and multiple tents on each site. We have friends that come up for the day to BB-Q with us and some are added on at the last minute. Our kids love the river and the sandy bank to fish from, the rafts, pool, snack shop, game room, mini golf and free ice-cream day. Its like our favorite get away. Several things about this campground we did not like. 1. Sites were extremely close to one another. 2. Our site was where they called it the drain field. It rained all night long and it was like a pond right outside of our camper. Seems like they should fill those areas in or something. 3. The fact that you have to pay an additional fee for each person camping is ridiculous!! We had 2 adults and 1 child and that wasnt included in our site fee?! 4. Canoe, tube, kayak rentals were ridiculously priced. We wanted to rent a canoe for the 3 of us. Would have cost $100 for 2 hrs because they charge $38 per adult and $25 per child for the 4 mile rental.

This is a tough review to make. I went camping here over memorial day weekend 2018. The place is pretty nice, good tree coverage in the tent sites, big clean sites, and youre right on the deleware. There is only one bathhouse (pay showers, $1/20 min), but it was never that full. There are plenty of porta johns scattered around the campground, and they were cleaned every day. The staff were all really nice, firewood is $6 per bundle. The pool was clean. The reason for the 3 star review is the other campers were pretty rude and constantly breaking noise rules after quiet hour. People were also driving around the campground, a LOT, up until midnight. Pretty annoying getting headlights in your eyes by the campfire and then in your tent. After you go to sleep. The staff did seem to make an effort to keep after the loud groups, but it was still a big issue. The negative aspects of this review arent the fault of the campground, but maybe its the type of crowd that frequents here. I might go back again on a non holiday weekend to see if its better.

Just left from Memorial Day camping trip. The best part of the campground was leaving! We were supposed to have two sites next to each other that didn’t happen. We were backed up to route 46 (about 60’ away) and it was like being broke down on the side of the highway for four days. It was so loud from eighteen wheelers, dump trucks, motorcycles and car traffic that you literally could not talk to the person sitting on your site. I was in between seasonals that were dumps with tarps on the roofs and trash all over. And if that’s not bad enough we had to listen to one of the seasonals break out the “gas” power washer and wash his truck!. I wish I could put the pictures I took of the seasonals next to us they’re self explanatory.

My wife and I have stayed here, so with this place, years ago it was a real party dump, police called all the time, problems, you name it. We knew that and didnt go. New owners got the place, and the word was they were trying to improve it. Nice try. The first time we were here, it was actually decent, so we went back, and regret it. The staff is rude, one of the fat managers has a pit bull that runs loose and was glaring at my dog for a fight, I complained and was told too bad. Even though the rules do not allow pit bulls. Then, there was the mexiacn music blasting from one end of the camp to the other during the July 4th weekend, way louder and later than rules allow, and the drunks listening to it, thought I got lost and wound up in Juarez. Never going back, my fancy RV does not belong in this dump.

We stayed in the ELM section of the camp, right down by the river. Very good view of the river when exiting the tent from that pitch area. I noticed that when away from the camp offices (ELM is about as far away as it gets I think), then people will sometimes try it on with the noise after hours (Supposed to be quiet between 2300 and 0800 and campfire out at 0030). If you like that and want to go tent hopping with people of like mind, my recommendation would be to go by the waters edge sections, but if you have kids and dont like that, then go closer to the offices (You should ask when booking). We always feel that the measure of a place is how well they deal with issues, well, we had one with an obnoxious lager lout, he was playing loud music at 2350 and I asked him to turn it down. He did so, but when id got back to my tent, he started singing about how his voice was also loud. I decided to see what my options were in the middle of the night and sure enough there was a guy opposite the camp office who asked if I was okay and whether he could help, I told him the situ and he said hed get the roving security guy to go check it out. On my way back to the tent, we were flanked on the second half of the journey by 2 guys who I assume were security. They hung about and generally did a good job of making the guy aware that they were watching, in a non threatening way I felt, which was good.We did rafting there, had camp fires, met some nice families, there was a reptile show and an outdoor swimming pool (in good repair, not *too* chlorinated) and I found the staff although not over friendly (over friendly strangers actually annoy me), were efficient and courteous. We are from Union County, NJ and are seriously thinking about a cabin for a month at the site.

Very helpful staff. BUT sites are rather tight for larger campers, tree stumps make it difficult to position. As far as wifi, this is only available at the pavillion and it is difficult to reach a cell signal here. Not bad for device free trip...bad for small internet dependent business.

Although the site I was in was a good size, it seemed like most others were really tight. The river access is nice but there is no open area where kids can swim or even just throw rocks in the wwter. The main reason for 3 stars though is that I felt like they nickel and dimed you once there. You had to pay for many of the kids activities, the honey wagon cost $15, and even the showers cost money. I am scratching this on off my list.

Terrible stay!! We were here for 2 weeks and on our last night the manager Ralph came to our camp site and in front of our young children accused us of smoking marijuana as did the woman manager in the office/store! Im sooo disgusted with the way they went about this. We dont and surely did not smoke marijuana and they had no proof that we did. All accusations were based off of a maybe could have come from our site. Unlucky for tgem, I dont take this lightly and not only do I have the proof of where it came from, I have the rude staff recorded! They need to check out there workers who smoke weed and not harass customers who just paid over 500$. I was told the owners there on Thursdays in a white Cadillac or something. I will be persuing not only contacting the owner but proving how they treated us will not be tolerated!! Id give it negative stars if I could. It was nasty in bathroom and showers and I had to pay more and more things that should be included!! Terrible place, stay away!@!@!!!!!!!
