If you are looking to donate blood do NOT go to this location. I went this week. Everyone there was unfriendly. They made me feel like I was bothering them. After being there 15 minutes I ended up walking out. The staff was surprised but after feeling like I was a bother why would I allow them to then poke me with a needle. I just had a bad feeling.

Hard to find - the entrance is on the side of the building facing the parking garage. Enter under the 10400 and take the elevators to the 4th flood. There are zero signs indicating where to go, but its straightforward to find. The staff were lovely and I was in and out very quickly. Definitely plan to do futures donation here!

Consistently under staffed, and slow; however, everyone is pleasant and doing their best. For a whole blood donation, expect to stay for about 2 hours regardless of your arrival time. It’s pretty insane actually. I mean, just Donate elsewhere and save yourself the headache.

I had made an appt online for platelets and plasma. When I arrived, I had to wait approx 20 minutes until I was taken back for preliminary interview and finger stick to make sure I had enough iron. Technician was not friendly and felt like I was annoying her when I asked questions. I was a bit nervous because I hadnt donated in a while and had several questions after reading the disclaimers and risks. I didnt feel welcome there and assumed it would be a friendly place. They were competent and the arm stick was good, but technicians were certainly not very comforting. I ended up having plasma only taken which was not what I expected, and nobody checked up on me during the donation process.

Warm and welcoming even though they sometimes seem exhausted. Maintaining outside life and work are hard so I know they are doing their best and I have never had a bad needle insert here so good in my book.

Went in on time for an appoinment, and was told there maybe an hour long wait. I decided to sit around and wait, got called less than 15 mins to do preliminary check before they draw blood. The lady was checking me had no emotions, almost made me wanted to walk out without donating blood because I felt intimidated by the tone of her voice. I am there for a good cause, and why do I have to feel uncomfortable? Regardless, I am still giving my visit 5 stars, because of Shanese who drew blood for me. I have donated blood before but it was my first time with red cross. She was very considerate, careful and kind during the whole process. If it wasnt for her, I wouldve never come back for another donation.

I had an appointment yesterday at 1:45. I was there almost 2 hours for an 8 minute whole blood donation. The only friendly person was the volunteer at the front desk. Staff all has a bad attitude and couldn’t seem to care less about the donors time. This is the second time I’ve gone to this location and it’s now the last time!!

I love donating here. Everyone is so kind and funny. If you take the time to listen and give a smile you can learn some really interesting stories about the staffs lives. Everyone just needs a smile in life. The building itself is older and a little outdated which unfortunately just shows that more donations are needed. I wish I could help more but always enjoy coming.

The technicians at this facility are horrible. Donate anywhere else but here. The people are slow, inconsiderate, rude and unprofessional. Ive been donating for a while now and I have never ever had an experience as negative as this. Go somewhere else, where you are appreciated and they thank you for your donation.

Here for the second time to donate blood. I was hoping the second time would be better than the first. There was no one at the front counter when I walked in and I almost left. You would think given the permanence of this location it would be efficient, but both times there has been very few people here donating and a bunch of staff just standing around. I like donating, but I would prefer if they were courteous of donors times. I have donated blood around 16 times and have never had such an experience elsewhere.

Pretty serious environment...To go for good cause services at this location when I went there. Staff seems to be serious and unfriendly…may be because I was there close to closing time?? Not sure. I personally would offer some happy faces or some gratefulness if I am working there to visitors. This place should be full of positive feeling which I didn’t feel when I was there. Folks please try to bring the charm which Red-Cross really means ...specially at this location.

Arrived at 1 for a 1:10pm appointment, was a previous donor, healthy, completed rapid pass in waiting room, but due to technical problems (not staff) took until 2 for any needles in my arm! Also for people confused, it is in the 4th floor of the building, which does not have signage for Red Cross outside! Elevators do not require a key as noted by some

I took my daughter here to donate blood for the first time and I have to say this was by far THE WORST service experience I have ever had. The female nurse we had was VERY rude. She was rolling her eyes the whole time and made my young daughter who was already nervous even more nervous. My daughter told me that when the nurse did the iron test on her finger she did not tell her what she was doing or that she was going to stick her finger. It was a VERY uncomfortable and BAD experience for her. Needless to say my family will never come here again but this place needs a serious reevaluation of the nursing staff and personal. SERVICE IS EVERYTHING!! There was one nurse who I wished my daughter would have gotten. Her name was Mary and the one bright spot about this place. If you go here request Mary!

I usually go to this location and they are usually very good but the last 2 times Ive been there, I had such bad experience with one of the charge nurses. She is EXTREMELY rude and looks like she does not want to be there. Today, I went to donate platelet for the first time. It took me 15 mins to find a close parking. I went in and told them what I was there for without saying that I donated whole blood 5 days ago. The nice lady in the front went to check with someone in the back and she came up to me and said seems like I donated blood few days ago and I cant donate again. She didnt have my information yet she knew I was there. I explained to her that I understand I cant donate whole blood but I can donate platelet because I have checked with the central office but she said the charge nurse said you cant. I just left the place because I was upset and did not want to talk to that person in the back again and deal with her attitude. I called Red Cross main line again to double check anf they said I have been eligible to donate platet since 2 days ago and they should have done it. So I basically wasted an hour of my day driving there from school, finding a parking, and driving back home. And all that could have been avoided if they had checked my donor card info. I do not appreciate the attitude of that person at all because whoever goes to donate blood goes voluntarily and that is not the environment they should deal with. This place needs to change some of the staff because the environment is not just bad, its toxic.

The rude lady said i cannot donate because I have to be in the country for atleast 3 years if i went out of usa. The fact is I have been in country for 10 years and went for 20 day vacation in 2017 which is almost 2.5 years now. Somebody needs to educate these people that the eligibility is 1 yr after u r outta country. The lady was so rude and lost temper when i asked her to repeat question she asked.Anyway never gonna visit here again.

Its been years since I donated and now I remember why. Im not going to blame the staff - obviously there are severe funding issues based on how how dingy and ramshackle it is. Although the staff did seem confused about why I was there - what are you here for today? - uh - donating blood?. The online appointment system is fake - no apparent knowledge of the appointment I made when I showed up. A few other things that made the experience unpleasant including how painful it was. Unless there is a critical need I wont be donating again.

My appointment was at 8pm but I could not go up the elevator to the appointment without a key. I called the 800 number so they could contact the office on the 4th floor but they could not find my appointment when I was staring at it on my app. Not going here again. Two bad experiences in a row.
