Megan worked a miracle with my hair! I am obsessed with it! My hair feels so light and healthy, and it looks beautiful too. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I will absolutely be coming here for my hair from now on 👍. I would 110% recommend Salon Nefisa.

Madeleine is the best!!! Every time I go in for an appointment with her, she always does exactly what I’m looking for, and even makes the best suggestions on what would look best when I am making a decision! I’m always SO happy with how my hair turns out when I go to her!

I have been a platinum blonde for 1.5 years. I moved here from Baltimore and did a lot of searching for a new stylist. I was disappointed when I left my appointment so I will not be returning. My hair felt dry and damaged when I left. I have never left a salon and wanted to wash my hair ASAP. The nape of my neck felt crunchy from left over bleach and when I got home I noticed the nape of my neck didnt even get toned. It was still bright yellow! My roots were also still yellow as an all over toner was used rather than two different toners, one for the roots and one for ends as my hair has different porosity levels. My baby hairs were also fried and are now short and crispy. I came with notes from my previous stylist which seemed to be ignored. I was hoping for a good experience but I left very disappointed.

If you live in Columbia you have to check this place out. Ive got my hair done by Hannah Crow (shes amazing) a month ago and I still get compliments on it till this day. Shes super sweet and very knowledgeable, she even helped me pick out product I need to maintain my color:)

After my initial call to schedule a same day appointment, I was encouraged; very accommodating and helpful. I told the receptionist I have curly hair and she said shed note that on my appointment. When I got to the salon early, sat down and explained to Madelyn that I want a shorter style, I noticed her hesitancy right away. She ran her fingers through my hair, excused herself and went to the front desk. Upon returning, she told me that she isnt a curly hair specialist (which everyone involved knew, but a specialty seemed unnecessary) AND doesnt feel comfortable working with [my] hair type.Okay, so I am willing to give someone grace if theyve never cut curly hair and are worried about doing so for a first time. This didnt appear to be the issue, since we all knew I have curly hair - prior to my arrival and the minute they saw me! Why did it take touching my hair to determine that she couldnt cut it?! I cant be certain, but am fairly confident its because my hair type is mixed! I arranged the afternoon around this appointment because they were accommodating me. In the end, they wasted my time and did NOTHING to correct the situation. I was told that a manager would contact me...an hour ago. The salon had 1 patron in it when I left, so Im confused by why its taken so long to address an issue that left this sort of impression on a person. So, Im leaving this review for those who identify similar to me. Now you know...

I LOVE AMANDA!!! I first came here because my hair needed SERIOUS help. I walked in downtown and found THE BEST stylist. Her name is Amanda. She is uhhhmazing! Very cute salons (there’s 2!!) & clean!! 12/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!!

My 14 year old daughters father brought her in to get her hair colored. When they were finished, it wasnt what she wanted. It pretty much looked the same as it did when she walked through the door. My daughter is shy and didnt want to hurt anyone feelings, so she said she liked it and they left. When her dad dropped her off to me, she got in the car and started crying. She was upset it wasnt the color she had asked for. Dont get me wrong, it DID NOT look bad. However, it was not what she pictured. Needless to say, I went ahead and called to see if they could maybe fix it. I was happy to hear they would fix it free of charge, so we sat up an appointment with the next person available. Today, their tone has completely changed. They are under the impression I was the reason my daughter wasnt happy with her hair. Now they are refusing to fix it, unless we pay again. Its very disappointing that they cannot comprehend the fact she is 14 and was too shy to tell them she didnt like it. I attached a few pictures. The first is the before, the second is after, and the third is the color she was going for.My reply to your response.They wouldnt have agreed to pay all that money, if they wouldve known her hair would be the practically the same color it was when she came in. Thats ridiculous. Also, why in the world would they schedule an appointment for the color she requested if there wasnt enough time to achieve said color? And what is it about the fact she is 14 and didnt want to say she didnt like it do you not understand? Its not that hard to comprehend.

I really enjoy my experiences at Salon Nefisa. They are professional, clean, and on time. Upon entering they take your temperature and have you wash your hands afterwards. I really appreciate the extra steps they have been taking during this pandemic. In addition to that, they make everyone feel welcome and do a great job at the services they provide. I’ve been seeing Sheri for a few months now (after Tori moved away) and she does a great job! 100% recommend.

Megan is the very first person in over four years that actually understood my hair and how I like to style it. Loved it!

Showed up for my appointment at 3 to find out they needed to reschedule due to a hair coloring..? going too long. I needed a cut today so I went to a Great Clips (RIP) instead when I would have preferred the great experience that everyone says Salon Nefisa is :) 4 stars because the desk lady was really nice and apologetic.

Love my stylist (Amanda) and this salon! I know I will always be well taken care of here and my hair always feels amazing! They offer a range of beauty, hair, and wellness treatments. The hair products used and sold here are top notch as well and smell divine! The head massage when they wash your hair is to die for! If you are looking for a new stylist, definitely try Nefisa!

Been needing a new hair dresser and was super nervous. Megan did an amazing job and I am SO happy with my hair. Definitely going back!

I booked a regular womens haircut through their website and was not notified of any time crunch or conflicting issues beforehand. However, when I arrived at the salon and told the stylist what I wanted she let me know that “we” were on a time crunch. When I looked over I saw she had even set a timer for about 15 minutes.Because of this she did not wash my hair and so to trim it she flat ironed it straight. She also did not listen very well and overall made me feel very unwelcome. True to the timer, I was in and out of her chair in 15 minutes, but still had to pay $46 plus a tip for what felt like a cheap walk-in salon appointment.When I tried to call the owner to discuss this issue, not only did it take her 5 business days to get back to me, but I had to call THEM back to ask for a follow up and remind them that I was trying to get this sorted out. After all this, the owner offered to give me a credit to come back in sometime. However, I told her Id rather just have a refund. She did not seem pleased about that, and said that the best she could offer me was the difference of $12 (basically the tip I gave), as I still technically received a haircut.She told me that I had been scheduled in between appointments so that is why I was only given 15 minutes, however it’s not fair that I wasn’t told this when scheduling my appointment, and that I was still charged full price for a rushed haircut due to poor scheduling on the stylists part. Overall, I just felt as though the customer service and treatment is extremely poor, and that they are not very concerned with the happiness of their clients.

I had a great spa pedicure with Simmone. Very conscientious! She made sure I was pleased with the result-and I was! Looking forward to my next appointment!

I go to Megan and she is awesome, always does a great job and delivers exactly what I hope for. I’m not the best at describing what I want when I need to change up my haircut. I trusted Megan to give me bangs, and despite the horror stories of bangs I actually love mine and have kept coming back to shape them up! Salon Nefisa is also very careful about following COVID precautions, which I appreciate.

Been going here for years and having Ryann cut my hair. She gets it right every time even when I dont even know what I want to do with my hair 😂😂. Front desk attendant is always really nice and professional. All around great place.

I’ve been going to this salon for 3 years and I see Anna. It’s hard to find a good stylist who has experience with bleach blondes without causing damage. Anna has done a fantastic job on my hair, always achieving the lightest blonde that I desire without any damage. My hair usually takes awhile and I often get other fun colors in it. Anna does a great job and takes her time. She is very friendly and I enjoy going to the salon to see her. I have never had a negative experience with her. I wouldn’t trust anyone else handling my hair and I recommend her to anyone.

Granddaughter developed bilateral eye infection due to lash extensions. She was meticulous in taking care of them. They started falling out along with natural lashes 5 days ago. She called at that time to have them removed, but was told the earliest they could remove them was today. Today, she woke up with mucus in eyes and swollen eyelids. She went to Dr., who diagnosed her with bilateral eye infection. There are 5 extensions remaining, they want $30 to remove these 5 remaining extensions. It should also be noted that the extensions, which were supposed to be individual lashes, were actually clusters of 10-15 extensions!

She is so fun, extremely knowledgeable, and is able to answer any question you have about hair/styling. Every time I go shes able to give me the colour and cut I want without severely damaging my hair. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a new stylist or a place to pamper yourself!

I love this salon! The first time I went I got balayage low lights and there were some imperfections in a few areas, but the stylist was really nice and very willing to spend the extra time to get it fixed. They always make me feel so comfortable while I’m there by asking if I want anything to drink. They even offer head massages while they wash my hair!

Anna is the best stylist I have ever had period. Every time I visit her she gives me an amazing haircut and her color is out of this world. I cannot go a single place without getting at least one compliment. Her creative eye has never failed me and I completely trust her to do what she does.If you are looking for a great experience in the CoMo area, Anna is your girl.

My experience with Salon Nefisa was one that I would not wish on my worst enemy. It started when I decided to dye my hair, something I’ve never done before, and I called to have a consultation with Anna. I was very excited since this was all new to me and I just wanted to do something different. Together, Anna and I discussed what I wanted, including pictures, and I was told a natural redhead look was something she was comfortable doing.We took things slow at first, since my hair is naturally quite dark and not in the best condition. Anna suggested lightening it without bleach, which I agreed with, and a week after the consultation this happened (see attached picture). I paid $132 for this look. I knew there was a risk my hair wouldn’t be the color I wanted without bleaching, and I wasn’t satisfied with the first round of coloring, but I was aware of this before and was okay with taking things further.The third trip to Salon Nefisa, Anna suggested bleaching some highlights in my hair to make the color a more visible shade of red that I wanted. Again, I had met with Anna three times in person and shown her multiple times the look I wanted, and I trusted her as a “professional” to make my desired look happen. My appointment for the highlights started at 6pm and was completed at 8pm. It is here I need to note I am a student studying and working in a professional field, so I am awake and active before 5am every day. This evening, I came directly from work to the salon. Even exhausted, I knew something was wrong with my hair that day. Anna was raving about how “great” my hair looked, though I felt very differently. Unfortunately for me, I am not rude, so I paid the salon and went to sleep, all with a sinking feeling in my stomach that this was not what I asked for.I woke up the next day, utterly horrified (see attached picture). Not only is this not at all the color I wanted and had gone over multiple times with Anna, but she had also straightened my already damaged hair, and it felt like straw. This was not what I thought I was buying with another $214 paid to Salon Nefisa. This is not professional, natural, or pretty. If I wanted crispy, dead hair, a shade of flaming hot red, I would have bought box dye and done it myself.Still, I wanted to be civil. Anna and I both know that this is not what we talked about, so I called Salon Nefisa to see if Anna could fix this. The receptionist was nice and said she would talk with Anna and the manager of Salon Nefisa to see what they could do. That afternoon I got a hostile call from the manager, much to my shock, who said they would NOT fix my hair nor issue me a refund, and that they did NOT need my business. This was so unlike all the other interactions I’ve had with the salon, and I was taken aback. I tried to explain that I felt I had a good relationship with Anna, but the color isn’t one I can wear to work, and I understood her protecting her employees, but I thought there was some miscommunication. I was told “I DID like my hair and was just out to get money back, otherwise I wouldn’t have paid” by the manager. As she raised her voice in accusation, I shut down.Let me be clear that this is not about the money, time, or emotional strife this event has cost me. This is about the principle of actions taken by Salon Nefisa and a blatant disregard for common courtesy. I have never been accosted like this, even when working in the customer service industry for years. I am disgusted at the lack of professionalism. I never wanted this look, and quite frankly may lose my job over it since I have no choice but to go to work like this. I can say this was absolutely my first and last time coloring my hair, as Salon Nefisa has completely ruined the experience and left me wary of letting anyone color my hair, and scared to give future criticism to hairdressers. Though I liked Anna as a person, her coloring job was terrible. I do NOT recommend Salon Nefisa and pray that the manager finds peace.

Jordan does a great job with mens haircut. The place is always clean, friendly and a place youd actually want to go and hang out. My wife and I go here every time we are in town. Although she takes way longer but they take photoshoots of her after her haircut and make her feel special.

Anna Clemens at Salon Nefisa did my hair and makeup for my December 2019 wedding. She executed my vision PERFECTLY and I had my dream hair for my wedding day. Anna is fun and creative and a great listener. We did a trial and I wanted to change a number of things for my wedding day. Anna listened to my feedback and executed perfectly. Madi Marie and Monica did my bridesmaids and moms hair which also turned out beautiful.Everything went according to schedule which made getting ready fun and relaxing. I highly recommend Salon Nefisa for weddings and other special events!

My experiences at Salon Nefisa have always been pleasant for the several years Ive been a customer I am consistently greeted by a warm, friendly receptionist who is also efficient, competent, and accommodating.Candice, my stylist, is an expert with curly hair, which is what I need! :). She is the best! In addition, she helped me through chemotherapy by volunteering to go with me to the place where they were making my wig, to be sure it was styled as much like my original hair as possible. She took a large part of her regular day off and went with me to Jefferson City. It was so comforting to have her working with the stylist there. I knew my wig would be the best fit it could be. As my hair went through all the stages of growing back, Candice kept me looking good! She gave me confidence that I looked good enough to quit wearing my wig when most people probably would have still been covering up their new look!Salon Nefisa has excellent products for every type of hair. For my curly hair (now, its not just curly, its new curly!) I wouldnt be caught anywhere without my Deva products from Salon Nefisa!Salon Nefisa is a little haven downtown where they truly care about making their customers look their best, while they also make me feel as relaxed as if I were at home!

On a whim, i decided I was going to get a cut and highlights. I searched ion Google for a salon and found Salon Nefisa. I called and since they did not have the time for a highlight job, I resolved for just a cut, I had some dead ends that needed gone.When I arrived I was offered coffee or water, which I thought was very nice. I was also surprised when Sheri came up to me and did have the time to do highlights. Sheri took the time to fully discuss what I was looking for and go over pricing so I was not surprised in the end. I sat in her chair and she went to work. She had an associate come help her when she had to help another client, but was fully involved in what ever the associate was doing, including the shampoo.I absolutely LOVE my nee do. Sheri did a wonderful job and made me feel comfortable in an unfamiliar place.Although a little on the pricier side, i will be returning because of the service that i received. THANK YOU!!

Kendra is awesome!! It is so refreshing to be in her presence. She truly loves what she does and does it so damn well! The place is super nice! Emily who answers the phone is super sweet!! My daughter and I were at the salon for the first time about 3 months ago, we both had pedicures , enjoyed the girls (Megan and Monica) and they did a good job and had fun conversation. We went back last week for pedicures, my pedicure was just okay, definitely better the first time. I’ll be honest, it seemed as the 2 ladies that did our pedicures hardly spoke to one another and it seemed uncomfortable and that my daughter and I had to make conversation. I’m not criticizing the salon because it’s super nice but feeling uncomfortable because it seemed as the 2 employees may not speak to one another nor even us. Oh well, unfortunately we won’t be back.

I have been getting my hair cut with Amanda at Salon Nefisa since moving to Columbia in 2014. Her and the other stylists there are fantastic. The salon has recently been renovated and the new look is fresh, modern, and energetic. I would highly recommend Salon Nefisa.

This was one of the best experiences I have had at a hair salon. It was a great deal, and all the workers were very friendly. I worked with Tori and she nailed exactly what I wanted. I could tell she really liked her job, and she cared a lot about listening to what I wanted. I would recommend especially for MU students because they seem to understand the younger customer needs as well. Great value. I will definitely be coming back here!

I went to Salon Nefisa for the second time today, and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish!My appointment was with Colissa Nole and Heaven Day helped, too. Both stylists were very professional and friendly, and conversation was great the whole time. They also made sure I was comfortable and even offered me iced water or tea, which made me feel more pampered than other salons Ive been to. I got a cut and color, and they totally nailed the look I was going for. They also used high-quality products in my hair throughout the process and thoroughly explained what each one did and how to use them. AND they gave me 20% off the products the salon sells (to be used on the day of the appointment), which I havent experienced anywhere else.Another big pro is that Salon Nefisa is locally owned, so if you like to support small businesses, you should add this one to your list!In all, Id definitely recommend this salon (and these stylists!) to anyone needing their hair done.

I had my very first appointment this morning at Salon Nefisa. I am very much impressed with this salon and its staff. Everyone there was very friendly, especially my stylist. I saw Kelsi this morning, and I have not had such a great haircut experience in quite a long while. She was extremely professional, courteous and fun to work with. She talked me through my ENTIRE haircut, and engaged with me throughout the cut in terms of what I though looked and felt good, and what I thought needed more work. I have not been seen by someone that professional and honest possibly ever! I am also a rather picky individual, but I felt at ease the minute I met her. I would imagine that the other stylists at this salon are just as professional and talented, but you will most certainly not be disappointed if you choose to go with Kelsi. I honestly did a Google search for salons since Im still relatively new to the area. They were the one that popped up first with the most stars. I did not make an appointment, I drove over, they were accomodating, professional, and as nice as they come. The young lady at the desk took my info, told me it would be about a 25 minute wait, and thats all it was. Anna, she is AMAZING!!!! I went from very long, half way down my back long hair, and she gave me the cutest asymmetrical pixie cut. It was a drastic change, that I have made before, but she made me feel even more comfortable about doing it. I told her I wanted to donate my hair, and she let me know they would take care of it. I had to hug her when she was done because it looks so good. I got nothing but compliments all day. This is now my go to salon!!! Thank you again Anna, I love my hair!!!!

Ive been coming here for about a year and a half, and I LOVE Salon Nefisa. First, the front of house staff is great, always fantastically helpful over the phone and in person. I would highly recommend my stylist Amanda. She takes the time to consider your vision for your hair and make it just right! She is good with my curly hair, and works hard to get me a cut and color that are easy to maintain. As an added bonus, shes delightful and my two hour appointments are always fun.

Kendra is a godsend. I could say it a million times, but this woman is an angel with scissors and color. She takes the time to listen and understand exactly what her clients want and genuinely wants each and every person to leave feeling better than their best self! She is just an absolute joy. Stellar customer service from all at Nefisa as well. You will not leave disappointed!

I love Kendra. She gets me but more important she gets my hair. She gets it right every time. I havent met another hair stylist EVER that could do what Kendra does with my hair. To all those who say the prices are too high-you get what you pay for and Kendra has the skills and the service aspect down pat.

I had a airbrush make up at Nefisa which I didnt like it at all. The person who was working on me was very nice, friendly and all, however; she took me to a part of the salon where there was no mirror in front of me, so I couldnt see how the makeup was going. Once she was done, she took me in front of the mirror that I saw myself and I couldnt hate myself more. I thought maybe Im not used to a strong makeup, so I asked others and non of my friend liked it, so I literally washed out my face and did it myself.

Please dont give me layers. I have been traumatized by layers. at home with ALL the layers...cue tears...

I got a haircut from Colissa and it was an incredible experience, she walked me through the whole process, made sure we were on the same page with every detail and I loved the end product. It was the most comfortable Ive felt at a hair salon in a long time!

I have been coming to Salon Nefisa ever since I moved to Columbia about two years ago. I was first drawn to the Salon based on their excellent online reviews and I have been coming back ever since! My stylist is Kendra and she does an absolutely fantastic job! She is knowledgeable, passionate, and I always feel comfortable and relaxed. I also enjoy how she talks through the process and takes time to explain what shes doing - I love the fact that I always leave her chair knowing more about hair than I did before. Salon Nefisa has a great atmosphere. You can can tell by the way the stylists interact that they value each other and have a good team environment. I highly recommend Salon Nefisa and Kendra!!!

Candice Gibbs is absolutely amazing. My naturally curly hair was completely destroyed (dry and damaged from over-processing as well as a disastrous cut) when I found her and she has managed to completely turn it around in just a few visits. I am now able to wear my hair down without TONS of product. My curls are coming back to life and for the first time I actually like my hair. As a curly-girl who has spent my entire life fighting my curls I really didnt think that was possible. If you have curls SHE is your gal.UPDATE- Candice is now with Green Meadows Hair Co.

Ryann kept my hair so healthy through two balayage appointments and now several rounds of color. Even when I was in the process of getting to the color I wanted, my hair looked good! Never brassy or dull. Ive tried several other services in town, and I will always go here for my cut and color needs!

Friendly and professional. Got me in and out with no rush .Very satisfied with my cut. The stylist was attentive and responsive to my requests and feedback. Would recommend and I will be back again.

Unfortunately, this was the worst manicure I’ve ever gotten! Lots of lotion and a hot towel, but no work on the cuticles so they were thick and dry when done. The sweet manicurist has no idea how to apply polish and just swiped it all over my cuticles and then attempted to remove it. It looked so horrible, I asked her to just remove it all and let me go. The charge was twice what I normally pay for a manicure and I still had to get a manicure when I was finished at Nefisa!

I had Shawnee for my stylist and she was so nice and welcoming. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and it turned out better than I could have imagined! I highly recommend her and this salon. Love my hair so much!

I have been searching for a quality salon and hair stylist for a long time so I thought I would try salon Nefisa. The customer service is phenomenal, Anna is a tremendous and very talented hair stylist and I wont go anywhere else from now on. If anyone is looking for a very chic and sophiscated salon with the best hair stylists this would be the place!

Kendra always takes such good care of my curls! Its always a great time at Salon Nefisa, and all the staff are so friendly. They know exactly what products to suggest and my hair has never looked better.

These folks are serious professionals! Im so impressed with not only my stylist Madi, but watching the others as well. Everyone was taking time to educate clients on styling, coloring, etc. They take the time to really get to know what you want and help you achieve it. It may be higher end on the wallet, but you really do get what you pay for!

Kendra is my hair stylist and is always amazing. Ive had two pedicures there before, and they were both fabulous. The new remodel of the salon looks great-- they really thought about their customers with the choices they made.

This was my first time going to Salon Nefisa and I was very nervous but Im telling you the staff is AMAZING. Amanda did my hair, took her time, and I couldnt be happier with the results. I feel like a new person and I couldnt recommend her enough. Also thank you to the other ladies that helped out with my hair. Truly genuine and talented people working there. Jen is excellent. I booked an appointment for a cut and highlight with her off of these reviews because Im new in town. She takes her time, so be patient. However, she got the color EXACTLY right. She ran a color test on my hair and we had a long discussion about what I wanted. She listened, and shes a smart girl who has a lot of focus when shes working. Price was about average for the area but the service and quality are definitely above par.

For starters she didn’t even listen when I told her what I wanted. Then we did this thing where she washed my hair, it was my first time for something like that but if she washed her own hair like she did mine i don’t understand how she hasn’t pulled all her hair out by now. I asked for an inch and she barely took half and didn’t match the natural layers like I asked. Then she proceeds to blow dry my hair and I thought I was gonna walk out with bald spots. Everyone know you brush from the tips and work your way up. I’m a straight guy with long that just wanted a decent haircut and feel like she didn’t care because I was a guy!

It’s a little pricey, but it’s worth every penny! Megan did my bayalayge, and before she started she broke down the process and the price. Customer service is outstanding, and the stylists are all incredibly talented.A couple days after getting my hair done, I made the mistake of washing my hair too soon, and the color wasn’t as vibrant as when I left. When I came back she reglossed my hair and she made sure I loved my hair! Super professional salon and I plan on going to Salon Nefisa for my hair from now on.

I’ve been to this salon a few times since going to mizzou. Extremely over priced and up charge for everything. A few months ago I got my hair done (balayage) like I’ve done in the past but the girl who did my hair before didn’t work there anymore. I simply just went to someone else and got my hair fried off and it was yellow blonde.. mind you I paid extra for a toner to make sure the blonde wasn’t brassy. The girl who fixed my hair was extremely kind and sweet during this time but with a few washes my hair looked exactly the same and still brassy. Mind you I bought a few of their products to maintain the blonde and it didn’t work. By the other reviews it’s clear to see I’m not the only one walking out having paid hundreds of dollars with worse hair then i had before. Lesson learned.

Megan did an amazing job of fixing my hair which had previously been cut badly with choppy layers. The whole experience made me feel pampered and taken care of.

Ive been a client at Salon Nefisa since its inception, over 10 years ago. Service is professional and friendly. Stylists are amazing. I can honestly say, I have never had a bad experience at Salon Nefisa. As long as I am living in Columbia, this will be my salon home.

I had Amy cut my hair and style it in the look of Jennifer Lawrence and add some highlights. It turned out great and I have had a lot of complements about my hair since then. I will never go any place else to get my hair done again. Thanks Amy and Salon Nefisa. You guys are the best.
