The braider showed up 35 minutes late (which she didn’t apologize for) then did not provide the hairstyle I showed her. She said that there was a miscommunication in what I wanted but she still charged me full price.

Okay so this place is.... how can I say this.. Staff is nice but lets just say professionalism is out the door however the work is amazing. Their box braids are beyond beautiful and they last at least 3 months if you take care of them. Overall if you dont mind the lack of professionalism and the uncleanness of the shop youll be fine especially if youre just getting braids being youll be at a sit still for a few hours.

They did my Nubian Twists and they were cute but within a few days give or take a week... my real hair was sticking out of the twist... and they started looking really old very fast... I contacted them about it and she asked me to send pictures which I did and she said that it was bc my hair has a relaxer and that she would fix it for me but she would be out of town until Tuesday of this week and she would contact me to let me know when to come... here it is Thursday night and still no contact has been made I even texted her... no response... i have gotten my hair done here b4 and things went smoother than this time around... I had to even wait around when I got there bc they were doing other things...

The lady that sit n the back has great customer service she also a far person n do a nice job on anyone hair she may stop to attend to her little boy for 5 or 10 min then she back to your hair not bad for a mom working n caring for her child she a beautiful person other then tht i wouldnt go there the lady across from her has a bad attitude n she over charge ppl for there hairstyle

I had an appt at 8:00 Saturday morning and the braider didn’t show up until 9:15. The style I was getting was senagalese twist, which costed $180. While getting my hair done I kept asking if I would be compensated for my time in which the owner, Fatou, kept talking in circles. I asked a second time and she didn’t answer my question. She eventually came over and said that she would compensate me with $10 off. I asked if that was it and she said yes because she provided the hair and and it took 6-7 hours to complete the style. I said that that didn’t sit well with me. She then ignored me and went in the bathroom. I decided to give $160 instead because I don’t play about my time. Fatou then began to get aggressive with me, cornering me and yelling at me. SoI left and went to my car in which she followedMe and pulled out her phone and took a picture of me and my license plate. The whole time I was there, this lady was playing with other customers time. Very unprofessional and ghetto, I would not recommend.

Never again!!!! I’m just praying my edges don’t fall out. The owner did my hair. I told her I was tender headed, she did not care, didn’t try to lighten up at all. Her response was it has to be tight for it to last. If I’m paying you my money and I say I don’t want it tight, it shouldn’t matter if it last or not as long as you get paid. It is unnecessary to braid someone’s hair that tight. I’m a hairstylist myself, I ask my clients are they tender headed before I even get started. It was an absolute horrible experience, torture the entire time. Never again and I hope the owner see’s this so she can see the pain she causes her clients.

I love the ladies that work at this place. I live in Charleston and will go all the way to Columbia just for Fatou and her ladies do my hair. They dont braid to tight they dont have your head hurting to the point where you cannot sleep at night. My first time ever getting my hair braided. I got the crochet box braids and loved it. I was done in an hour and twenty minutes. My stylist was very nice and friendly. I will be going back again soon.

I went last Saturday, it going on 1 week and Im taking my crochet braids out. They were too tight and too full....couldnt do nothing with them. I looked like a mop head. Then she told me 100.00 to do them and ran my card for 105.00. I will not be going back there.

My hair was done ok I asked for highlights of 613 about 8 time Ls she act like she don’t know what highlights mean they put the head and put a big patch of 613 in one spot of my head... they took food breaks and baby breaks I was there from 1:00- 10:00 p.m she had 3 different people work on my hair... I paid her 180 up front when she finished she said I owe 90 more because of the length ... why would u not say that when I gave u the money? Ladies be sure to get your price upfront I’m not that happy with my hair for it to be 250 I could have went else where for cheaper to get the same thing I WILL NOT BE BACK

Fatou is great when it comes to hair braiding she always does my hair but this last time she had one of her workers do my micros and Ive lost 6 braids in a 8 days lessoned learned if Fatou cant do it I will not let anyone else do it I will wait till she is available she does exactly you want not what she think you should have like her worker who did the 6 rows of micros braided half way to the end instead of the inch and weave it looked nice but you cant wear it down or the tracks will show which defeats the purpose of the style but when Fatou does it you can wear it up or down and never see a track

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME GOING HERE!! First of all I had an appt at 9:30 Saturday morning. When I got there, there were 7 other people waiting who apparently had 9:30 appt also. I made my appt on Tuesday. The person on the phone even asked my name. That obviously did not matter came Saturday. Only one braider came in at 930. Another braider came in at almost 10. She started calling her ppl to try to get them to come in. She also started asking customers can they come back later and explain that they had worked late yesterday. That seems like a personal problem to me. Two other braiders finally came in. But remind you they only had 4 workers but made 8 9:30 appts. Why over book yourself if you cant handle it. Very Unprofessional! Wasted my morning. Appts does not matter. After wasting my morning, I ended up leaving without getting my hair done. Very nice on the phone but plan on spending your entire day there if you want their service with most of your time just waiting. They lost my money and I will NOT be returning!

I love this place ... she was quick and my hair was very short... growing out a pixie cut but she did it!

The first time I went to them the lady told me the amount and time it would take and she did an awesome job. I loved it. I went back a few months ago got box braids again but medium. It only took 5 1/2 hrs. Two days later the braids were falling out and you could see huge amounts of hair coming out of the braids. I had to go back and get them done over. She said my hair was soft thats why the were coming out but that doesnt explain the ones with my real coming out of them. She didnt do a great job. Every time I go in a African shop its always new ppl. The other girl was great. This girl did a rush job so she could leave. I want more braids but dont want the same girl. And the do talk WAY TOO much but I just bring my iPad and watch movies. I wish the accepted cards and not just a cash business.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Got my hair don’t there about 3 weeks ago. All of my left side edges came out!! I’m so upset!! I also didn’t like how I had to call the number on the door to make a card payment. Not sure why they don’t have a credit card machine in this establishment but giving someone my card number over the phone made me skeptical!!!

I go there very often when I want some braids the quality is awesome! Its expensive but its my favorite place to go, the only down fall is they tend to get upset if theres a miss communication between them and what the customer wants. And they do talk allot lol
