I recently moved from Columbia to Reisterstown BUT I will still continue to travel the distance to go to Mason & Friends Salon because Christy is amazing!! Ive been seeing her for 5+ years and she is an expert hair stylist that makes my hair fresh and new every time! Everyone that works at the salon is friendly from the receptionists to the girls that help assist washing your hair, after color treatments. The salon took proper protocols during COVID to keep all safe. It is a one of a kind salon that I cant say enough positives about!

Ive been a client of Julies at Mason and Friends for almost two decades. She is an excellent stylist with superb coloring skills. Mason and friends have been super observant of hygiene practices and careful social distancing so that I feel very comfortable and safe at my appointments. This is a great place.

Beautiful salon! Pam and her staff are as gracious as they are talented. There is a lot of space, so its very safe to visit. The hand washing station is a great idea!

The staff here are very nice. However, my hair stylist did not listen to me, and she gave me the exact opposite of what I wanted. I am very disappointed, but I would recommend this place because some of my friends have gotten awesome haircuts! Unfortunately that was not the case for me. Be wise on who styles your hair.

First time back since they reopened and I have to say I was extremely impressed. They are very organized, have plexiglass dividers up, chairs well space out and everything is constantly sanitized. They even have a portable wash station before you even enter the building. Great job Mason and Friends!

Just had my regular haircut with Sheri at Mason and Friends and realized that I have been going there for 17 years!! It is such a fabulous salon with amazingly talented hair stylists. The front desk is courteous and professional. The techs who wash hair are fabulous and make you wish you could stay in the chair longer for a relaxing scalp massage. I could never say enough about how great Sheri is with cut, color, and a therapist’s ear!! She is the best!My daughter has been going to Greer for about 5 years and she is also amazing. She is a fabulous colorist as well as stylist and is passionate about her work! My daughter had very damaged hair from swimming and well water and Greer worked patiently to restore it to perfect health. She is exceptional.Mason & Friends wins Howard County’s Best Salon just about every year and the title is well earned. They are consummate professionals and I look forward to my next 17 years there!!

Maya does the best job with cutting my curly hair. My daughter drives from Baltimore to go here. I was having a hard day today and was so blessed by a kindness from the owner. Definitely can recommend this place . Outstanding. Great customer service. Each person is treated like there is no one else in the place.

Like most people, Ive been anxious about going out and being exposed to Covid. Aside from the fact that this facility was already well ventilated and well spaced between stations, let me reassure you that Mason & Friends have gone above and beyond to ensure customers feel safe while getting hair care services. From the check in process to payment, I felt incredibly comfortable ( to name a few measures- washing hands outside, distance markers, taking temperatures, filling out short survey on status, putting pens in a USED bin for disinfecting, barriers between washing and rinsing stations, cleaning all areas after every use, etc.).Ok, moving on, Ive always loved LaTreece- shes been my stylist for quite some time now. And despite the disaster I brought onto myself by attempting to dye my hair during quarantine- she was able to work an absolute miracle and executed a flawless color correction and adorable cut. My hair looks beautiful, healthy,, and feels light. Worth every single penny every time!

Omg! I went to visit Kate today my first time ever for a hair cut. I absolutely love her and my new sexy do. She was awesome . I would highly recommend the Salon to anyone. The place is clean and huge, which makes you feel less cramped (unlike some other salons.) Even though it is a big space, the attention the stylists give you is still one on one and feels personal. I have always walked out feeling like a queen. Awesome!

I’ve been having my hair cut and highlighted by Christy for about 13 years. I also see Paula for waxing and facials, though not as regularly. I’m always happy with the quality of my service. Everyone (front desk, hair washers, stylists, aestheticians...) is professional and pleasant. I had an issue once where they lost my appointment but it was resolved quickly and professionally. I highly recommend these folks!!

Best massage ever! Have been to Kat Bowling twice now and am convinced she is the best in the area. My massages were restorative and relaxing, with Kat targeting problem areas I didnt know I even had. She has truly made me a believer in the therapeutic and restorative capabilities of massage and I will definitely be a regular customer.

Been going here for almost 20 years to get my hair done with Tunde. Shes great and listens to what you want done rather than doing her own thing like some stylists do, and that is why I am loyal to her for so many years. Everyone here is friendly and helpful - and they offer other services too. I dont think you can go wrong here - highly recommend.

Tuende is AMAZING. Everywhere I go, people ask me where I get my hair done. For years, I havent felt any loyalty to any hair dresser. Honestly, she is the first and only person I have continually visited for about 2 years. Shes direct and honest - and she will tell you if the hairstyle will or will not work for you. Its one of the hardest qualities to find in a hair stylist.

Ive been coming here for years now and I wouldnt go anywhere else. Greer does a fantastic job and is always friendly, on time, and works quickly. Id highly recommend booking an appointment with her if youre a guy who wants something both faster and better-looking than what youd get at one of those walk-in haircut places. (Im sure she does fantastic womens cuts too, but can only speak from experience on the mens side!)

This place is great!! Vashti did an amazing job with adding natural looking blonde highlights to my straight brown hair. This was my first time going to this salon since I just moved to Columbia, and from the reviews I decided to give this place a try. Had a Living Social voucher that was told the expiration date was extended to March 31, 2013. When I called this week, they said it was only extended until February 28 and would not make a concession that I was told March 31. Poor customer service in my opinion. Basically calling me a liar. Compared to other places prices are high. $71 for a swedish massage. I can get a deep tissue for less then that.

Go see Tünde, who is patient and creative and dependable. I’d follow her anywhere!

This place is not effectively managed. I was waiting 20 minutes for my appointment . Paula gave me a scab under my eyebrow, after the waxing appointment. She waxed way too close to my eyelid, I was in pain for days . Sarah is the only gem at this place, see her for eyebrows . Otherwise forget this place.
