Trecia is an awesome hair dresser. She did an outstanding job on coloring and treating my hair. It has never been a disappointment every time I booked with her. She is open and honest about the type of care that’s needed for my hair and she makes sure she honors whatever style you want in your head. I will highly suggest her. I don’t typically suggest people especially if I know their service isn’t up to par, but she’s a woman of integrity and is magnificent at what she do!

I came to Hair Candy for Senegalese twists. Before the week was out the hair was already unraveling and twists were already beginning to slide out. So I contacted the owner to see about getting it fixed. I went to the salon and they looked at my hair and told me it was because my hair is natural. I’ve had Senegalese twists before with natural hair and this has NEVER happened. I’m am not satisfied with the service and I did not get my monies worth. I just wasted $160.

I have been going to Trecia for 13 years . She wasn’t able to do my hair this time I went . Trecia recommended Juliah I was hesitant at first but upon my arrival Juliah was very professional gave a great shampoo and let me tell you she styled my natural hair very well ! So yes if Trecia can’t get you in book with any of the ladies there !!!!!!

Good Salon. I think they do best with natural hair and sew-in’s. They do not customize frontals, you will have to do that when you get home. There installations are fair. Otherwise very pleased with friendly and professional service.

I love Hair Candy Beauty & Braids because my stylist, Trecia (the owner) is well versed in everything from extensions to braids to natural styling and when shes done my hair, she always goes that extra mile and cuts my hair to frame my face or styles my hair to accentuate my face structure and that says a lot about her expertise and the care she takes in making sure you look your best before you leave her salon. I highly recommend them and her!

I had my first experience today at this salon and it was wonderful! I received an all over color, trim and flat iron and I just love my hair ! The manager Trecia was very patient with me when it came to picking the color I wanted. I will be back again soon with my daughter.

They are reasonable in price and always available when I call for an appointment. Because of covid-19,they make sure mask are worn and they spray down chairs and whipe off curling irons etc. before and after each use. They did a fair job on my hair when I went. I must say I gave them three stars because they overpriced me on earrings that I could find at the beauty supply store for $1.00!! Plus,when washing my daughters hair,she did a lousy job really washing and scrubbing her scalp. The blow drying was okay,and the flat iron job was basic because thirty minutes later,her hair was frizzy.

Came home showed my man my hair, he said whats going on with the front. My lace front had flipped back. I had to go in the bathroom and fix it after paying 160.I told the stylist that I would put curls in it when I got home but it look like I just had to really put curls in it and tighten back up my lace front.

I usually go here for my braids because I enjoy the atmosphere. Been a customer for years. I would schedule appointments for days I would be free throughout the week or I would try for a walk-in on a Saturday. Usually when I’ve come in the past on Saturdays, I would call ahead of time to make sure someone was able to take me for braids for an impromptu walk-in appointment (usually it would be Veronica) but this time, I decided to try to schedule an appointment 24 hours in advance through their website. It paired me with someone other than my usual stylist, which is fine because I’ve seen her work too over the years. I even called the day before since I wanted to make sure my scheduling had gone through since I initially tried through Google then I was told to go through the website. I scheduled my appointment then thought nothing of it when I got the email that it was sent for approval and I didn’t receive any sort of follow up call that same day saying that I couldn’t be taken for the 2pm appointment that I’d set.I come to my (presumed) appointment time and wait for close to an hour before I’m told by the person I was scheduled to sit with that my appointment wasn’t approved because they were too busy for the day. I had made the request more than 24 hours before being told this and no one thought to reach out to me and tell me I couldn’t be taken? So this is how faithful customers are treated? No courtesy call to be made or cancellation notice sent to my phone? I felt pretty undervalued. Seems like you have more of an opportunity to get into a chair if you just walk in rather than schedule an appointment. I won’t be returning.Edit: In response to the salon owner’s emotional reply to my critique of her lack of professionalism and calling it “petty” for how I submitted an honest review of how I perceived her outright disregard for customer service is all you need to know about this salon. This is how they treat their loyal customers...as if they’re numbers not worthy of dignified follow up and easily replaceable. Your response just backed up my review. Thanks!

Trecia gives you the best solution for your hair and does not put a lot of tension on your. She does excellent work and I will be a future customer.

I love the scenery inside of hair candy beauty. It is very quiet and relaxing if you are going in to get your hair done. Also, I had the pleasure of letting Tabitha(Keke Faces) do my mink lashes and the price was very reasonable and also they looked very much natural. She showed good professionalism and I must say if you have not tried them out you definitely should because I will be returning.

If I could give a million stars I would. Not only is the atmosphere beyond wonderful but the staff there is excellent! Trecia hooked a sista up with the best sew in I’ve ever had! The services she provided was fast but thorough, my type of service! The salon was very well kept... I will definitely be returning!!!

So I had box braids done here about 3 weeks ago by Bridgette. She worked pretty quickly (maybe too quickly considering the state of affairs now) and I didnt have too many issues. I was told that hair was included in the price given but it wouldve been nice to know that it was cheap synthetic hair (I wouldve purchase my own quality hair prior to my appt). She spent the majority of my visit on the phone with her sister because she was having work done at her home, however, she never stopped working so I didnt have an issue. I was actually kind of impressed with that fact. Unfortunately now I wish that my head had had her full attention. 3 weeks and Ive already lost a couple of braids, I can see my new growth, my hair is actually showing through the braid and they are beginning to frizz. Now Im maintaining them properly and wrapping them up at night so I dont know what the issue is but Im not happy. What I dont have time for is to sit in this place again and have them fixed. Im going to go somewhere with a proven track record and have them redone. I dont have the time or money to keep repeating these actions but I cant afford to look a mess either. They might be good at some things but according to the other review weaves arent their thing either.

I have been getting my hair done here for YEARS and Trecia never disappoints! She does the BEST long lasting sew-ins, other protective styles, a phenomenal job with natural styles and relaxed styles as well. Until now I have never been to a full service salon that can truly do it all! Beautiful styles on healthy growing hair is her specialty! Tabitha aka Keke Faces, did my color and silk treatment. The color is beyond bright and full of life. The silk treatment has my hair moving and bouncy. She also slated my makeup. The lashes felt like. Will be returning ❤️

What is the point of offering appointments when the stylist is going to be a hour late. I would have left but the appointment was for my daughter and she wanted her hair done and it was too late to try to go somewhere else. My time is very valuable thats why I booked the appointment. No apologies for being late when the stylist arrives.

The customer service is amazing. They are really great at making you feel comfortable. I went here because of all of the amazing reviews it got, but I was seething in anger by the time I got home with my install.I went and got a partial sew in from Veronica....When she started I was really weary because she started cutting my wefts on my VIRGIN HAIR... but I didnt say anything...When she was finished it looked good, and after I got home and styled it I was happy. The next day after everything settled i woke up and noticed that the side, and the back felt a little thin... i lifted it up and she had literally skipped the entire middle,and side of my head... you could SEE the cornrows.. ( If i could upload photos to this I would... thats how bad it was) I was charged 95 dollars for the partial install BTW.I bought 3 bundles of hair, and when she started on my head I told her I wanted her to use all 3 bundles, so when she was finished and gave me back almost a whole bundle, I was surprised, but didnt say anything. I went back and got it redone by a different girl a day later, and she filled everything in, but it still isnt worth what I paid for it.Today would make a week with me having this install in my head and wefts are already coming unattached from my head. I will NEVER go back here to get my weave installed again.The customer service is great, but the work isnt worth the prices.I probably should have spoken up for myself, but I didnt want to be that girl.. I just said thank you and left. I wouldnt recommend this place to any of my friends.

Scheduled an appointment with Kim and she never showed up to do my hair. Called various numbers and couldnt get anyone on the phone. Waited 39 minutes and never heard from anyone. Very disappointing since Veronica is a great stylist but Kim never ever showed up. Had to go somewhere else after I driver an hour and a half to get my hair done.

I love this salon the staff is great it’s clean relaxing here and my locks are always on point no matter who’s does them. Thanks Guys!

I’m giving a one star only because the lady that was actually at the salon was pleasant. I booked an appointment for braids with Peaches over a week ago, showed up on time. Waited 30 minutes, only to get notification that she was at another appointment somewhere and would not be coming. Completely umprofessional. I took a day off of work to comply with the time she set, and at no point did anyone attempt to reach out to let me know prior that she wasn’t coming. I do not appreciate my time being wasted. The purpose of setting appointments is to clear out time for both the customer and the stylist. It was my first time trying Hair Candy and I will most definitely not return.

Very sloppy work. Came in to receive my roots touched up on color and received a full head of orange bleached hair. I am so very upset because I now have to cut all of my hair off for how damaged it is when I did not ask for bleach. I have been to many salons who were capable of lightening my hair to brown without bleach, yet alone a touch up on my roots. I was there from 11 in the morning until 4 or 5 at night. My hair is so brittle. The service is terrible I did not receive a drink once all day. I now have to go to a different salon and see if they can fix this awful mess of hair. Think about a black chuckie doll.

Booked an appointment for Tuesday 7/25 at 1:50pm with Veronica based on a referral from a friend. I get to the salon and no one will answer the door. I go to my email for a contact number and to confirm that I had the right day and time and see that they sent me a cancellation email an 1hr before the appointment time with no call or text. The 800-3801 number listed in the email is out of service and no one will answer the number on the website. Now I have to scramble for a plan B. EXTREMELY dissatisfied and disappointed potential customer!! I will make sure that the family and friends that I had planned to refer to this business will know to never do business with Hair Candy.

I absolutely love this salon and the stylists are great! I can choose any style and i always leave ☺ happy..thanks girls im looking forward to my next visit.

A silk press should leave your hair light, bouncy, and blowing in the wind. My hair is LITERALLY silky when its straightened.I left the salon with an entirely different outcome.My hair was not blow dryed properly. Wasnt straightened or detangled. And the overall finished product looked slicked down, oily, stringy, and the roots were still frizzy. I paid over 50 bucks to basically just throw my hair in a pony tail.

My experience at Hair Candy Beauty is consistently outstanding, the staff is always friendly and welcoming, the environment is copacetic, my hair styles are always done to my satisfaction, I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone in search of a salon to call home! I have to say they are nice but the quality of work was not that of a professional quality. I got box braids and while the front looked ok, it was the ends that were horrendous: I had short and long braids all over my head and then the ends did not have a uniform appearance whatsover as some tapered off while others had been cut straight across with scissors and literally looked like a braid that had the ends cut off. Needless to say the braids were unraveling by the end of the day and I truly wish I looked at the back prior to leaving shop because not only would I have not payed, but I would of asked her to take the braids out of my hair immediately.

This was far from the best of getting my hair braided. 1st. Thing they was late getting there. 2nd. Most of hair braiding salons have the hair in the shop. My appointment was supposed to be at 8 am didnt get started until 10 am . That truly made me not a wanted to do it. The young lady that I made the appointments did not show up until after 3pm so I had to let some one else braid my hair and omg ,she was so slow on though I would never get it done. This so call braiding salons is not worth my time and my money . I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK THERE EVERY

WORST WEAVE EVER! I was there yesterday unfortunately. Im not from this area luckily. First off I had to wait 30 minutes for my so called stylist to arrive. When she did get there she didnt apologize for being tardy. Secondly, I was there from 10am until 4pm and my weave looks horrible!! Lastly, I re- used my hair and she didnt wash it, brush it or take the old thread out. Needless to say, I have to get my hair done professionally today!

I got a sew-in this past Saturday. Its Monday and Ive already taken it out. Jawanna didnt take the time to comb or part my hair while she was braiding. My hair was braided in a messy spiral; There was so much tension at the crown of my head, I feared getting a bald spot. My scalp is on fire still. Ive been here 3 times and have only been satisfied once (a quick weave by Nautica). I will NEVER waste my money at Hair Candy again.

This was by far the worst experience in my entire life. ima try to make this sweet and short because its alot to tell. as long as IVE been getting sew ins and braids I aint never had this to happen to me in a million years. Veronica did me a full Bob sew in. I kept it in for 2 weeks and 3 days. when I went to take it out I found a closure peice she installed in my head that was not in the pack of hair I gave her so she must have had it lying around in her booth and thought to sew it in on top of my head. I didnt know she did it until it was time for me to take the weave out. anyway, I began to take the weave out and I lie to you not, I had a hand full of hair that just came out effortlessly, I began to unravel the braid pattern and as I was doing that I didnt even get to my scalp yet before a huge clump of hair was just sitting on top of my scalp. I thought it was just the extra braiding hair she added to my hair bc 5 months ago I did the big chop so my hair was short, so she had to add more weave hair to braid it down for the tracks to stay. continue.... then I proceeded to unravel the braid and alot more came out as well. then I began to pick threw my hair and alot more came out that time too. before you knew it, I had a hand full of my good healthy hair just sitting in my hands in clumps at a time. I felt up there and it was unbelievable thin almost bald so I decided to go take a picture of it so I can see what was going on up there. and to my surprise, I had a massive bald spot bout the size of half my palm. I was balevious. anyone that knows me knows that I love my hair and I take good care of my hair and that I have naturally thick healthy strong hair and going from that to being strictly bald to the bare skin if my scalp was very hurtful. at 1 St I was mad and then I broke down into tears. to make a very long story short and skipping all the little details like (my attorney, getting a 2nd opinion of another natural hair specialist and all they advice like it dont look like she did it tight looks like what ever dirty peice of closure she put in I was either allergic to the net peice that was on it, what ever stuff that was on it or it irritated my scalp, or it was just plain out nasty) ( I didnt know who were that peice or where it has been for that matters bc I only list hair in the area where she took upon herself to ADD to my head without letting me know ) basically I notified Veronica of the terrible incident and we wrote out a contract basically saying that I will receive 3 months if hair treatment for free until I see progress of hair growth, if I did not see hair growth then I would have to take legal actions. I wish so bad that I can post a picture up here to show you guys how terrible it was. they get a -4 🌟 from an unsatisfied customer. I mean who goes into a hair salon and comes out with a bald spot to the scalp like a babys bottom. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

I went to get a sew in from one of the stylist and she puts my part on the wrong side. Mistake #1 because you didnt ask me which one i wear my part on. Then my sew in has only been in for a week or so and my entire back row has come up. I dont like how the foundation was put down to begin with. I paid the money and said thank you but I dont think I will go back again.
