Today marks my third time driving to this location & not being serviced. The first time I came I waited literally four hours in the waiting area as I watched the stylus take in appointment clients. This location is supposed to specialize in walkins, the appointments were handled as priority over the walkins literally forcing me to leave after spending the majority of my day there. The second time I arrived and was told that someone will be with me shortly I waited another four hours watching appointments being taken in front of me and at the very last minute I was told that they could not do my hair due to the location being about to close. The third time I came I called first before comingThe phone was answered and I was told that there was no wait time, I drive 40 minutes from one side of town to the next only to get here and find an empty parking lot and door locked!!! I called the shop number several times with no answer, the voicemail even states that a text should be sent so I sent a text notifying them that I was at the shop and the door was locked. No response, this will be my last time visiting this location it seems that Quality services will not be provided here in the absence of quantity. And I’m all about quality, I would highly suggest advertising this location as appointment only therefore someone like me who’s trying to spend my hard earned money wouldnt have wasted my time Assuming that I get the services but I’m entitled to you. Don’t waste your time or money here not to mention the wash area is disgusting And just because this is a black on business that does not mean that customers should have to listen to trap music while waiting to be served. Take your money elsewhere

Ive been going here for a little over a year and this is by far the best shop for dreads and haircuts. Its a one stop shop. Kinda pricey though. But you get what you pay for.

Thrid time starting my locs and only started them again because I discovered this shop. They specialize in healthy locs andTumikas Afrocentric styles are just what I have been looking for.

Honestly this was the best shop to come to years ago until now. Recently had an hair appointment and for starters, the owner is the only experienced one in the shop. She had all beginners retwisting hair, washing hair that they washed forever with no conditioner, and then retwisting hair with no product or even adding water. So you will end up getting a dry retwist (very painful for us loc heads) and nobody could do styles except her. She kept accepting customers in the shop but couldnt manage the ones that were currently waiting for hours. They havr always been no appointments but you will be waiting for God knows how long. Many of the customers were confused on when they were going to get styled considering they were there before me but I left before them. My hair wasnt even dried under the dryer, just used the hand dryer for about 2 minutes to wait to be styled (major no-no). Then the locs outcome is the tightest style ever to be charged $90 for a 3 hr appointment on locs that was dry twisted, over coiled, not dried, with a mediocre look for a professional shop. Better to go to another true loctician that is about quality over how much money she can over charge for a $40 kitchen job. Clearly for the money and not the best quality for people. All of the people that were the heavy hitters are gone so its just the owner and a bunch of rookies so loc people beware.

This place really is the best of the best... I started my locs somewhere else, but this is where I have been going every since. March will make 3yrs into my loc journey and my hair has never been as health as it is now and my styles are always on point!!!! NEVER have I had a bad experience and NEVER will anyone else do my hair... She also started my moms locs whos in her 60s and she is loving the journey! The atmosphere is very professional and everyone greets you with warm smiling faces. Creme de la Creme is in a league of their own when it comes to locs.. No one else do it better 👍🏽😊❤️!!!!

Honest unbiased review. I was seen 3 weeks ago and had a scheduled appt. I arrived right on time for my appointment to find the stylist eating. I said fine no problem. She got started on my hair approx 30-45 mins after the appointment time and this was fine too because we were deciding the best size for my locs. Let me point out that payment was demanded up front $169. I had no problem with that as well. Well it did become a problem after starting my hair she kept stopping to style people who had walked in way after metaking about 15-20 mins per person. I became extremely livid after about the 4th -5th person and asked for my money back. She said to doesnt offer refunds from here I am pretty much stuck. I think that is the reason money is asked for up front because of this. I wanted to leave and was extremely pissed off that. After all was said and done I was there for 5 hours in what should have only been a 2 he appointments.,The end result - a mess. Starter locs were of many different sizes and had lumps in them from where my hair wasnt combed all the way through. Also my hair wasnt washed and it was twisted partially dry which is a BIG no-no when it comes to locs. The ends of my hair needed to be trimmed and for the price charged this should have been addressed. I have since washed this mess out, gotten them restarted by an extremely well- renowned loctician and am so pleased. My advice to anyone is to avoid the entire state of South Carolina if you want nice healthy locs. I have tried 3 stylists there and all of them failed miserably on a service they advertise to be so well at. This state is so far behind on times its sickening, and I was born and raised there. Never again will anyone in SC touch my hair. Oh she did refund me $25 of $169.
