I just went for a wash and trim. Relaxed and natural heads, don’t bother with this salon. The stylist I had used a fine tooth comb on my hair despite the fact that I obvi had new growth and it wasn’t gliding through. I feel like it’s common knowledge not to do that. So this resulted in constant snapping of my hair.You also get charged extra if your hair is relaxed - it was literally on the receipt. A penalty for having unstraightened hair.So Bubbles: good for people with straight hair. Also does good eyebrow waxing.

First time was great a year ago this time I got a wonderful migraine from the yanking that was called brushing after washing my hair and the heat from the blowdryer is still imprinted in my freaking skull. The was even what I wanted either.Pick your hairdresser carefully, or youre gonna ruin your mood for a long time.

I have been getting my hair cut with Lori for a few months now and I’m always so happy with the results! She takes her time to talk with you about what you want/need done. My hair always feels so much healthier too! Thanks Lori! :)

Really bad experience here for my 17 year old daughter. She physically went to the store to make an appointment, was quoted a price for color. At the appointment, the stylist (Alishba) spent the first ten minutes on her phone while my daughter waited. She was then charged $15 more than quoted the day before, and they declined to give her the $10 off for first color treatment because she hadnt asked for it beforehand (she asked when making the appointment).They upsold her to pay $36 to add two different colors to the base color. They didnt explain when she made the appointment that a blow dry would be an additional $45.She left the salon having spent a very large amount of her hard-earned babysitting money, feeling that she was overlooked by waiting for the stylist, upsold, and they were mean to her at the cash register. Her hair hardly even shows the three different colors supposed to be in it. In her own words it wasnt a very nice experience.She still tipped 20% because Ive told her never to stiff a worker.This bad experience could have been reversed if, when I called to explain this, the lady answering the phone would have refunded the $10 special offer she was supposed to get, and the $15 difference between what they told her when she made the appointment and what she was charged by the stylist they gave her. However, I was told the salon had no manager for the next week, and not offered anything other than a phone number (no reply on that number) for a different manager, not in the store.Let me say this - I *always* used to go to Bubbles myself, and have a lovely time there, until my stylist, Crystal, moved to Ecosse. I am absolutely 100% positive if my daughter had a bad experience at Ecosse (after all, they happen), the manager there would have spoken to me himself and resolved it with me. Every time I go to Ecosse the manager is always there, often greets clients personally, and is very involved. And the stylists are all awesome.Give Bubbles a miss if you dont want to be mislead and upsold and have to sit waiting when you arrive at your appointment time and your stylist decides shed rather be on the phone.

I went in for highlights and a trim. I told Billy that I had trimmed my own hair and the back was a bit uneven. He said he would fix that. But instead, he cut extremely short layers into my hair. This was four months ago and my hair still looks ridiculous. Billy told me the layers that I did not ask for were to add volume. My hair is baby fine. There is no haircut that will add volume to my hair. It will probably take about 4-5 years for my hair to grow back to a length that I like and doesnt look stupid on me. Currently, these layers lay on my shoulder and flip up. They look terrible. Thanks a lot for the volume I did not ask for.

Nice salon. Small. In many ways too tiny and uncomfortable. They dont go out of their way for much, though. Need a special product or more to choose from than what they have available for hair care, you will get nowhere. The stylists are good with their work, however, although parking is difficult. Hard to find the indoor lot way down another section of the street or across a very busy Mall street.

We went to Cheri for a 3 color dye job for my boyfriends 40th birthday and it turned out incredible! She made some valuable suggestions on color choices and then proceeded to give him his dream hair in just a few short hours! So much fun - what a great experience!

This is by far one of the most unprofessional salons I’ve ever walked into. First, nobody answered the phone two hours before their listed close time. Then I tried to come when they opened since I wasn’t able to get ahold of anyone. Their listed open time was 9am, and nobody showed up until 9:30. I walked in to talk to someone about being a walk in, and she told me I need to call and make an appointment. I informed her that I had called multiple times the night before and the morning of and nobody picked up. She told me she’d check the book to see about me walking in and was on her cellphone taking a personal call & not even checking the book. This is such a unprofessional way to run a business and I wouldn’t recommend trying them out as a new client.

I made an appointment and attempted to call to confirm my appointment, three times the day of, but no one answered to phone. So, I arrived late and missed of my appointment (which is on me) but when asked why no one answers the phones, I received a rude remark about her being there all day by the phone and no one ever called.

Lei cut/styled my hair. She was pleasant, thoughtful & cheerful. Im Pleased with my çut.

Went to the salon to get The Classic w Color Fusio Dose+cut with Cheeri. The professional didnt seem to know what she was doing. She ruined my blouse with the color and dropped the color over my face including my cheeks. Asked her to see the color to make sure she chose the right color and she refused to show me. She stated she chose the same color of my natural hair. Which she did not. My hair looks black now and my natural color is brown. She didnt want to cut my hair while it was wet. She dried it and then made the cut. She didnt cut even and I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed. I spent 160$ for nothing.

Do not go here! I took my mother to get her hair done at Bubbles, because our usual person was booked out for 2 months. My mother has very thin and fine hair, which was a result of cancer she survived 6 years ago. She went in looking for a fall color and trim to help with her hair that gets tangled easily. After 3.5 hours in the chair and $270 later, she left with hair that is uneven, messed up color, and thinner. A hair style like this isnt even worth $50. While she was getting her hair done, other stylists would walk up to her stylist worried about their clients hair turning a very different color than planned, hair dye tubes put in the wrong places on the shelves, and distracting her stylist from paying attention to my mom. This is very unprofessional and rude! You can try going there and hoping to get a stylist that knows exactly what they are doing, but youre better off staying clear! Many of them dont know what they are doing, dont pay attention to their clients, never explain the hair styling process as it is happening, and spend more time talking to each other than their clients. $270 for nothing but disappointment, stress, and defeat from a client who deserves to feel good about her hair.

Iman is AMAZING I have since sent both my mom and a friend there to see him. He took exceptional care of all three of us, asked me a ton of questions about how I like to style my hair and what I use to make sure my hair not I my looked good day of, but that I would be able to replicate it... Ill be back!

Crystal at Bubbles is so fantastic! I never had a regular hairdresser until I met her, but now shes the only one who I would let do my hair. She gave me beautiful purple highlights that are subtle enough for my corporate day job but still make me feel like my funky younger self. Love them and love her!!

Iman does an incredible balayage and haircut. I highly recommend seeing him and adding on an olaplex treatment to make your hair look fantastic and feel softer than ever at the same time

My girlfriend always uses Aundra and shes been great however the data was too slow on the phone, so my girlfriend stopped in and asked to make an appointment after the person ignored her he finally looked up and told her she can only go on line to book... he cant help her .I I think they were very unprofessional. If the business which is to reach out and make things right I think shell make a new appointment otherwise shes going to go somewhere else next week that appreciates her business.

Awesome place, & very talented people. Starting with the lady who did my shampoo. She massaged my head so well I almost took a nap there. Also she took her time washing which I loved. Then Weena cut my hair and did such a wonderful job. I loved the end results of my cut. I left very very happy about the service and my new cut.

Have previously used this salon. The experience before was fine, nothing to rave about but no real complaints. Booked an appointment and showed up only to be left waiting for 20 minutes before stylist informed me I was an hour late and must have gotten the time wrong, except I had my confirmation. She responded that it was too bad and she didn’t have time for me today. Would I like to rebook for a different day? I can say with complete certainty that I will never use their services again and I would not recommend it for others. Very unprofessional and not the way to run a business.

I had used this salon many time before and loved their services. However this time the service was very unprofessional. I had booked an appointment with Michelle and she did not do very good job with my hair cut. She didnt do the cut for money we paid. When I asked questions about hair cut and why is it not done certain way she seemed very frustrated.I will not be returning to this salon ever again.

My hair looks amazing- even the day after I got the cut. Crystal is an awesome hair dresser. I have super curly hair and she gave me volume, shape, and better curls. I will definitely be going back!Edit: I went back to Crystal O. for partial highlights. I have had so many bad experiences with my hair being dyed blonder or more yellow then desired. Crystal listened to my concerns and made my hair look fantastic. She gave me partial highlights over my entire head and I have very long fluffy hair. I cant recommend her enough. The other staff I interacted with in the 3+ hrs I was there were all friendly.

I personally wouldn’t go here. Customer service is good but the hair service itself is terrible. I do not encourage you to come here.My hair stylist led me on to believe I will achieve something close to the hair color I desired but it was NOTHING close. I felt as if I walked out of the salon the same way I walked into the salon. It felt like the biggest waste of money. I clearly looked extremely unhappy walking out of the salon and they did nothing about it.I came back in the next day with my boyfriend and had a whole conversation with the “top salon employee” or something like that, and all she had to say was “I listened to the entire consultation and she told you she had to bleach your hair to get to the exact color you desired.” First off, she may have heard the consultation from the other side of the salon but she’s not the one paying, she’s not the one RECEIVING the information. My stylist clearly was not going to say “you will only have the SLIGHTEST TINT to your hair” she CLEARLY led me on to believe I’ll get something close to what I wanted. After talking with them for like 20 minutes I managed to get a full refund. Again, they will NEVER see me there again.

Erin is the best! She took her time with me, was honest about what she thought would look good and what would be cost effective in the long run. If you are looking for a really good stylist who is honest ask for Erin. She is really nice too!

My girlfriend and I have been getting cuts with Crystal for the last year and she has been phenomenal! I always get plenty of compliments after a new cut and she has been a game changer for my look. I would definitely recommend getting a cut here with her!

Been going here for about 3 years now. Im sure it is hit-and-miss on who you get, but Alissa has been doing my hair and shes been amazing! Over time, Ive noticed shes gotten better and shes been great at giving me suggestions on how to do it. She does mens hair (like mine) and she is great for coloring too.

I have severe anxiety about haircuts and hadn’t gotten one in 7 years (yeah, whatever, judge me) but Amiee did a FANTASTIC job!! She was so kind and didn’t have anything negative to say about my damaged and weirdly-textured hair, she was solely positive and gave me an adorable cut. I thought it would be super expensive with the treatment they gave me but it was very fairly priced. All my friends recommended Bubbles and now I see why. I will absolutely be back.

I didnt have an appointment, just walked in. I saw Rudy. And before I go any further .... I highly recommend him. He was professional and knew what he was doing. I came in wanting a MAJOR change. Life was taking me in a new direction and it was just what I needed. We discussed the change, and he took the time to make sure it was what I really wanted. I absolutely love my haircut! I live in VA, but will be back yo see Rudy. Very easy to talk to him, and he made the experience of major cage an easy one. I normally don’t write reviews but I am since I was almost convinced not to go to Bubbles Columbia. I did a last minute appt since I would happen to be in the area- I had never been to this salon before.Erica was AMAZING. I was going from a bob to a pixie (something I’ve done plenty of time before almost every other time a different salon/stylist for many reasons) . Erica listened to all my concerns and answered my questions. She cut my pixie step by step to ensure I was satisfied with my length/look. She was one of the few stylists IN MY LIFE who took the time to check in throughout the cut.

Everyone is wonderful. Thank god Crystal saved my hair a few years ago. If you want your hair done right, come here.

WHAT are they doing letting Crystal leave? If the owner had any sense she/he would have doubled Crystals salary and made her the manager (if she wanted that, probably not because Crystal is all about the craft and the practice of hair-dressing). Dont they read the reviews (here and on y-e-l-p?) Crystal was the best thing about that place, an absolute superb gem of a hairdresser in the most convenient location with amazing prices.One thing I wont miss is the incompetence of the phone-answering and appointment-making system here. I dont know if they dont have a receptionist and have free stylists do it, or if the receptionist is permanently out to lunch but its a real pain trying to make an appointment, like youre scheduling brain surgery and timing color and cut etc is like making sure the OR and the surgeon are both free....Not well played, Bubbles - read your reviews and ask yourself whose name comes up over and over and over in the good ones - and you just let her leave...

I was going around the mall looking for a hair salon to get a really blunt cut and blow dry, and was recommended to go to bubbles my stylist was Alissa she is amazing and did an amazing job! I love my hair cut and the customer service was the bomb! I definitely will be back :)!

Wendy and Lori worked together to produce an amaxiam hair color for me. I have had such a hard time pin pointing what looks best on me and Im so glad I met them. I have renewed confidence!Thank-you girls so much!

Got a terrible haircut. The person who cut my hair hid it well by putting a ton of product. After washing my hair at home, I was able to see all the spots that were completely missed.... after I went back to have it fixed by their “senior stylist” I ended up with a haircut similar to what I had after basic training.... I could it shaved my own head for free at home. The female customers were walking out with great results, but don’t go here if you’re looking for a regular haircut. I went there because my normal place had a two hour wait... next time I’ll just wait or screw my hair up on my own before even thinking about going back here.

Erin is the best thing that has ever happened to my hair! I went in with a terribly dye job and felt hopeless but she turned it around miraculously and I couldnt be more thankful for her work! Not only did she do an excellent job but she also understood that I was on a budget and talked me through the process as well as the amount it was going to be. Thank you, Erin!!

Really hit or miss if you have natural hair. The stylist are sweet and professional but some of them really have no idea what theyre doing, and they charge way too much for a press to last less than 5 hours! Kayla is decent, but dont get Jenn.

Went in for a shampoo, blowdry and cut. I was very happy with my experience. The shampoo was nice, thorough and relaxing. My stylist was patient and gentle with my hair (4a for those into hair typing). I will definitely be back for my next trim!

Rudy Is the best!! Professional...assist you in change your look, color and haircut. He has been my hairstylist for 3 years...Recommended.

This was my first time at this salon since being new to the area. My hairdresser was Kelly. She was awesome!! Super friendly, talkative and she really knew what she was doing. I got a cut (several inches off) and color. Both the haircut and color I love. My only complaint is the price for color. I paid $35 for a cut which makes sense based on the length of hair I had- but my SOLID color of brown was $70 (and it was applied to my now shoulder length hair). I will come back again to Kelly for cuts but will be dying my own hair with the same professional products from a beauty supply store for $50-60 less.

Ashley (sits on the left as you go in) is really great! Ive been going to her for years and my hair always turns out fantastic. The one time I wasnt sure if I liked it or not (at first) she didnt charge me for it even though I ended up loving it. The prices at Bubbles depending on who you go to, can be a bit steep but if youre particular about your hair, its worth every penny!

Bubbles Salon was GREAT. I wasnt sure about it at first since it is in the mall, but all of the employees gave great service. (even when they were super busy!!) Kelly did both a cut and color for me and it turned out amazing. The ombre I got looks really natural and the color is perfect. I highly suggest making an appointment since they are so busy on the weekends.

I made a reservation for 6 people but any of us was satisfied either with the haircut or the stylish, the stylish diapers in 2 hour was so sad because I had a good experience at the beginning.

Alyssa Ladiera is the best! Ive been going to her for almost two years. My hair looks FABULOUS every time, not to mention healthy.

Literally just left this salon and guaranteed will never come back. I understand this time of year it’s busy, but when checking in they weren’t very welcoming in the slightest. The stylist (Norma) I had was not friendly, didn’t smile and had zero personality. This was my first time here and as soon as I got back to her station, she told me to go back to the shampoo area, again, I have never been here before and she made no direction of where that area was. At that point I should have left. It took her all of 30 seconds to cut my hair and she didn’t even do a good job. I’m not knocking the entire establishment but this one stylist should probably find something fitting for her personality that doesn’t require interacting with humans.

I was coming on here to rave about my stylist Crystal O! She is amazing and finally gave me hope for the future of my hair. Her hair cuts are on point. He color is awesomeness and she is a blast to hang out with. I look forward to my appointments, which is new for me. I was blessed to be a walk in for crystal about a year ago and I look forward to every appointment. She even fixed my over colored hair and gave me healthy, beautiful blonde hair I have been dreaming of. I did just ho to schedule my next appointment in a few weeks and found she has moved to a new salon. So if you want a awesome hair cut and color look her up at At Ecosse salon in elkridge! I have been going to Jessica for YEARS & she is, hands down, the BEST stylist Ive ever had...she did my hair for my wedding, too & is just incredible at what she does. I typically get a cut & full highlight done with her. I highly recommend her to anyone...and Im very hard to please! ;)

I got my hair highlighted and dyed here and it was the worst experience ever. I have lost most of my hair, it used to be down to my butt and now it is above my shoulders. I would not recommend at all :/ my hair is so damaged.

Would give 0 stars if i could. Front desk customer service was the WORST Ive ever experienced. Rude staff. I asked for partial highlights and a haircut. I wanted blondish highlights on my dark hair and my hair came out orange. The haircut wasnt even a haircut, it didnt feel or look any different than before. I contacted the stylist afterwards to tell her I wasnt happy with my orange hair and she proceeded to ignore me and didnt offer to fix it. If you want good customer service and stylists who listen to you then dont go here. You will regret it.

Originally, I was to see Erin for an appointment at 5:30 PM who was referred to me by the store manager Jen once i stated what i was looking to do with my hair. My schedule cleared up so i called to see if Erin could take an earlier appointment, They said sure, and changed my appointment to 3:30 PM instead. (I called to change the appointment around 11 AM that same day) I arrive at 3:30 PM for my appointment with Erin and turns out my appointment was rescheduled to someone else, When i was not told or made aware of this. The manager told me I would be seen by Kim instead of Erin. I was skeptical because i did not ask for someone else, Just wanted to change my appointment time, But i went with it anyways. This review has little to do with Kim, My stylist. Kim was awesome, great personality and lets you know what shes doing every step of the way, which i appreciated. I came in with very blonde hair and was looking to do a light brown shadow root, and to just tone the ends of my hair to take any yellow/bronze out.. I specifically stated i do not want that ashy/ ice blonde that every hair stylist tries to do on you when you really want that bright/ white, platinum blonde. I told her i did not want ash, or silver, or grey, I wanted white/blonde platinum at my ends, which my hair was already very, very close to. We did the shadow root and it came out orange when i asked for light brown, I even showed PLENTY of pictures for reference before we started. I kept it cool and Kim suggested we go back over it again to get the right color. It was time consuming but i did not want to leave until it was right. Eventually, the roots were darker and way darker than i wanted but it was better than the orange that the stylist originally gave me. I left the store and went home to look closer and realized my ends of my hair were dark ashy color. I came in with very blonde hair, and i was totally upset that my hair was really dark and ashy now and thats not what i wanted. This is where my real problem lies: I called the store the next day, the day after that AND the day after that, 3 DAYS IN A ROW. To speak with Jen about how we can fix this and every time was told she was busy and would call me back. NOBODY ever called me back, So i stopped trying and make the choice to never spend my money there again. I spent $200 just for a shadow root and toner and because the stylist had to wash my hair twice due to turning my hair orange the first time, she charged me again for the wash! I was quoted 160 and left paying 190. I will never return back to this shop again because they can not seem to do what the customer asks for and have terrible customer service. Waste of money. I am very upset.

I wont go to anyone but Kelly to get my hair cut. She knows what shes doing and always does a great job. Ive had long hair and short hair with layers and Ive never been unhappy with how she cuts it. She also does amazing ombre hair colors as well as more conventional coloring.

My stylist Angela R. Was amazing. I went for a drastic change and cutting off maybe 10 inches of my hair to a long bob with bangs and blonde balayage color. I’m absolutely in love with my hair. Thank you so much and I’ll be back again!

I would never recommend this location. I brought my son in for a quick haircut at 8:40 on a Monday nite, as we were told 9pm was the cut-off time with the store closing at 9:30pm. When I arrived, all 4 stylists were sitting around, and there were no other patrons in the store. They proceeded to tell me that they do not cut boys hair and they do not know how to operate clippers. What unisex salon employs stylists that do not know how to cut a 10 year old kids hair??? So they recommended me to another salon in the mall. Within 15 minutes, my son had a hair cut, I paid $20 and tipped the same.

After a nightmare I experienced at a different shop Rudy pulled a miracle and saved my hair. I came in with the worst damage my hair had ever experienced and my hair was 3 or 4 different colors. He fixed the color and also managed to reverse the damaged state my hair was in.

Love getting my hair done here. Always go to Sydney as she is professional and amazing at her job!

I will not return to this location. Scheduled my appointment yesterday with Alisa. Arrived today and was told Id be seeing Carter. Carter was running late and they gave me a complimentary protein treatment to make up for it. After the brief conversation about what we were doing with my hair, Carter proceeded to more or less ignore me, and talked to another customer who was waiting for her treatment to set the entire time she was cutting my hair. My hair doesnt look like anything special after the cut and style, and I feel like I could have gotten the same experience at a much lower price from Hair Cuttery.

Unfortunately due to my thick curly hair and the timing I had to be passed on to someone else.Let me make it clear this is not on the stylist, its on the schedule system. Dor still made sure I was okay, he wanted to make sure I would leave happy with my hair. I ended up finishing with Crystal and the receptionist who is also a stylist. They were great. So friendly and did a great job. Crystal was also mindful about the fact that I wear my hair naturally curly and took that into consideration when trimming. I LOVED that. She was awesome and I booked my next appt with her. Everyone I came in contact with was great and gave me the best service. I would definitely recommend anyone of those mentioned. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND calling in your appt.

I had a great experience! The girl who did my hairs name was Gabi and she did a great job dyeing my hair, as well as providing great customer service, I would definitely recommend her.

I am a guy and was referred to Bubbles from another male friend. I go to Gabi and she is fantastic! Shes young and knows what looks good and whats trending. The girls at the front are always bubbly (no pun intended) and polite. If a scheduling complication arises after Ive made an appointment they always call me to work something out. Guys buy the sticky rice!! Guys forget your egos who wouldnt want to go hangout with these ladies for an hour??

I took my daughter for a simple trim yesterday. Today I brushed her hair out and the bottom wasnt even close to even.

It was my first and hopefully the last time. Booked my appointment a month ahead since they are open on Sundays and I was going to a wedding party. When I booked my appointment I specifically asked for an updo, how long it would take and how much it roughly costs. They promised me the first time customer discount. When I got there, they put me with one of their female hairstylists, she just simply came out that she doesnt know how to do an updo. Someone else knew who was busy at the time. So upset to hear that, I walked to the front desk to ask what is going on!?? What should I do the party is 4 hours! No apologies the front desk went to the back of the store and had a short conversation with the hairstylist. Then she came back to me and said the hairstylist knows updo! Out of options, I sat at the hairstylist station and I can say she did a horrible job to my hair. I get updo whenever I go to a formal event and I know how it worked. However, She was pulling my hair without using hair curler and emptying hairspray all over my head. She used so much hairspray on my hair that Ive never experienced before. My hair felt so nasty and I could feel the weight of the product. I just sarcastically asked, isnt it going to fall? She responded: if it fell, just push it back up. This what I do. My hair felt like a piece of brick over my head. Worst experience Ive ever had in my life. In the end, they processed my check with no discount. I was so angry with the job I just walked out and didnt ask for it. I figured out they are not worth it. So cheap and unprofessional. The store is downstairs from my apartment, but I would drive miles to go to a different hair salon rather than see them again.

Nice facility and friendly people, but I wouldnt recommend choosing any stylist when you make an appointment. If you dont know who you want, just go somewhere else.

Went in to get my hair colored and cut in an ombré style. The stylist left the bleach in my hair for an hour and then kept insisting that I didn’t need my hair trimmed and I left with blue hair. I still ended up paying for a hair cut and I didn’t want blue hair. I will never go back to a bubbles salon again. I even contacted corporate and never heard back from them.

After reading the reviews I made an appointment to see Rudy at 2:30. I showed up at 2:15 and was greeted by Angela at the front desk. She tells me he’s running behind and if it’s alright to wait in the back or go around and do some shopping and she’ll call me when he’s done. I said no problem, I’ll walk around. 30 minutes later I walk back to the salon where Angela is sitting in the back on her phone and takes her time to see me in the front. She finally comes over and tells me “Oh I thought someone called you. Rudy is coming in at 4. We’ve been calling him and calling him and it just goes straight to voicemail, we don’t know where he is.” I was shocked, did she expect me to wait til 4 o’clock only to see if he “maybe” shows up? I told her no no one called me. She let me know that she could set me up with another stylist and as I look around, they are all goofing around. One was blow drying her own hair, a few others joking around in the back. I can’t believe this is how they represent the business. I told Angela no thanks just to cancel the appointment. I was livid.

Aimee ruined my hair and had the audacity to charge me extra because of the length of my hair. I will never go back here and do not recommend this place
