My hair was beautiful. Even though my hair is short 4 inches afro with under cut, the hairstylist did a great job. There were two nice ladies in the shop when I was getting my hair done first thing in the morning no lines or wait time. WORE IT TWO MONTHS> lasted very well to many birthdays and weddings throughout the hot summer. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU LOVE YOUR HAIR , just because they are affordable ... its not worth it 👎👎 . The hair dresser come out so much of my hair , she was VERY rough , she didnt even grip my hair as she combed and brushed it , my hair was detangled , washed , deep conditioned and wash and blown out , there was NO reason for this woman to have used so much force and was so unattentive to my needs as a customer. I was obviously in pain and another customer made a comment as she watched with terror. I still have a headache from the day before 🤕 she then used rubber bands to section off my hair , I offered my brand new pack of hair ties thats are safe and dont break hair off , she declined and CONTINUED to use rubber bands in my hair 🤬 then I had to stop her twice because she was gripping my hair way to tight ,..(I could hear her fingers cracking ) from gripping so tight.Last but not least she sat me in the chair for 10 mins with massive gel in my hair and then sent me on my way with WET gel , I trusted her judgement ... I didnt notice my hair was still wet until i touched it in the grocery store 🙄 . Waste of money , bad experience.

I love this place the braiders are very positive and professional. The salon is always clean. You are greeted when you enter and asked how can I help you. Their work is quality and and prices are fair. Practice safetyaccording to DHEC regulations. The thing I like the most is they are very aware of not braiding to tight. I love Braids Express.

Sarah is the crochet braids specialist. She is on time and will work miracles on gyour hair. Shell even help pick out the hair that works for you. Very affordable.

I have been a loyal customer for years however, my last two appointments have been disappointing. I recently had my hair braided two weeks ago and some of my braids are already falling out. I paid $230 and stayed there for the majority of the day to get my hair braided. The most offensive part is asking me to pay before the hairstylist is finished with my hair. This will be the last time I will ever visit this place.

Braids Express did a outstanding job on my hair. I will certainly be using them again in the near future. I love the convenience of them washing your hair for a additional $10. It helps when you’re in a hurry or just don’t feel like washing it.

My hair experience was great. The environment was clean and the people are friendly. They really took there time with my hair and did it just the way I showed them I wanted it done. They don’t charge much at all. Will definitely be going back.

I went to Braids Express to get my hair done and the lady who greeted me was very welcoming. After a bad experience at another salon I was surprised to find a hair salon that did something satisfying. The staff was friendly and gave me advice on choosing a hairstyle. I went with the box braids down to my lower back and I loved it! The braids were neat and close together and I was even complemented by other clients. I will definitely be coming back here again! I had an appointment for 9am on Saturday, March 2 for Senegalese twists. I got there right at 8:50am and there were already four women getting styled, and only four women doing hair. I let them know I had an appointment and sat down to wait. They let me know that another stylist was on her way to do my hair. Cool. I’m not impatient so I waited...and waited. Next thing I know it is now 9:50am and my hair has yet to be touched so at this point, I am becoming a little frustrated. So, God must’ve sensed my irritation because not even two minutes later, in walks another stylist. She tells me to sit in a styling chair and asked how long did I want my hair. I told her I wanted them shoulder length, no longer than mid-back. She started braiding my hair at 10:15am, (I know because I was on my phone the entire time) and she didn’t finish (completely) until almost 6pm. Granted, I don’t have the longest hair in the world and this wasn’t my first time getting my hair braided by this same salon. In the end, I do love my hair. I just hate that I had to wait close to an hour after my scheduled time. I am a mother with more than one occupation and this was my only day off. I value my time and I feel that a certain level of professionalism is required when you’re asking for $200 per head. Overall, I am pleased with my style and I know it will last for at least six weeks. Just be careful if you’re going to make an appointment. Get there EARLY early.

I gave them 1 star because I called on Thursday and they had availability for me to come on Saturday. They told me my appointment was at 8 am. When I got there, the open sign was on but the door was locked. I called and they told me they will be there in 15 minutes. They around a little after 830. When I walked in no one spoke and then they asked could they help me. Before they got started they told me the price but once the female started she changed the price to $200 which is the longer length but mine are short. My hair is spaced out in the back and I feel as though they should of been a little longer especially because of the price. I did not get the quality that I paid for. Some of the ladies are very unprofessional and I think the clients needs to be treated with more respect. I will not return.

Salon did a awesome job with my Tree braids and was supper fast and very professional...she helped me select the hair I wanted for my style ... atmosphere is relax and professional! Exactly what I wanted in a braider, I have made her my dedicated braider stylist!!!! I absolutely love this place!

I had a great experience, the staff was friendly And they did a great job on my goddess braids.

I would not recommend coming here. Everytime the lady needed me to lean back or forward she would pull on my hair instead of just letting me know that I needed to lean back. They charged me $185 for shoulder length box braids but last time I went it was $165. They do not have any respect for their clients. It took them 8 hours to do my hair. The lady would do like 10 braids then get tired and sit down for 30 minutes. My head & neck are in so much pain from the lady pulling my head back and forth. I really dont recommend anyone coming here. I sure wont be returning.

This place sucks.i not gone lie every female I saw come here was hooked up.but when this chock did my dreads I could have done better it was awful asf.im devastated to go to a african shop and come our looking a mess.the bad thing is I got charge 90 dollars to retwist my hair nobody else does that and waited 7 hours wow.chick kept stopping I will never in life go there again.the boss at least gave me a free style bc it looks so bad.who twist hair with styling gel smh no oil on my scalp or hair.i could have went to somebody in the backyard and got a better job git pictures to prove it very digusted

There is nothing express about this shop. My braids aren’t the same size or length. The shop is nasty with roaches. I wouldn’t recommend my enemy to get services at this place.
