I have to get a full set of upper dentures. I am very sad but the Dentist and the techs are very supportive and professional. They kept a positive attitude which kept me positive. They discussed all my options and helped me make an informed decision. Great office, great staff. The only downside is sometimes the wait time for new appointments can be long but it is doable.

Today was my first time here and even though they were having some technical difficulties they were very nice and informative. I look forward to coming back and being treated.Edit: I brought the stars down to two because I went in for teeth whitening today (8/3/21) and I am highly displeased. I expected teeth whitening with the gel and blue lightning but instead they put something red on my teeth and came in every 20 minutes to reapply it. The appointment lasted over 2 hours, which I expected. What I did not expect was for my teeth to look the exact same! I paid 300 dollars for this procedure and I feel ripped off. The lady doing my teeth said that my teeth were already white, which they’re not. And she provided me with a plate for extra whitening but I figured if the job was done right the first time then there wouldn’t be a need for the plate. I really looked forward to a beautiful white smile again and they did not help like I hoped. 2 thumbs down! I wish I could get my money back and take it somewhere that could actually help me out

Ive been going to this Dental office for about 2 years. I was lucky to find this dentist in my neighborhood. They are friendly, professional and timely with appointments. I am a cash patient and they always let me know what the exact charge will be before the appointment. I recommend this dental office highly.

Went in yesterday for minor tooth pain and ended up getting two teeth pulled! Dr. Alverson was absolutely a wonderful man and very calming! I sat in the waiting room for an hour patiently waiting. However I didnt even mind because they were so nice there! They gave me a gift card to DutchBros for waiting so long! Highly recommended for if you have medicaid!!

This is my first year with PPD. I came after unsuccessful dentist visits with other dentists in town. PPD was able to provide me with adequate dental care. They were also able to fix errors made by other dentists and I have now successfully completed all of my dental work. They were able to accommodate me in a timely fashion during emergencies.

Was my first time here today since leaving my old dentist, and starting with the front staff to the end of the visit everything was calm and enjoyable. Everyone is very nice and understanding( I have lockjaw and they made sure I was comfortable and not in any pain for X-rays) the Doctor also understood I was in pain and didn’t push me too much and gave me many recommendations and referrals to help me!

The staff is always friendly and the work is usually efficient, however they have a very high turnover rate, so in the last 3+ years I have been through 3 dentists, there and I only recognize one of the office staff members. The great thing about PPD is that they always are willing to get you in quickly and correct any work you are not happy with or that is inefficient.

I had a wonderful experience at this office. It’s been awhile since I’ve visited this office but I’m glad they were able to book me in. Had a great experience with Dr. Watson, Endy and Helen. I get anxiety visiting but this visit was a breeze.Also, they continue to follow COVID protocols and everyone, including other patients wore their masks. I would definitely recommend this office. I have serious deep rooted dental anxiety and actually fainted in the chair getting cavities filled. With 4 more left to go the dentist and I had the discussion that getting all 4 done at once with notorious would be best. I scheduled an appointment for 4 fillings in person with the dentist.When I came in for the appointment they told me they only booked enough time for 2 fillings despite the conversation at the prior appointment. With no appointments on their schedule in the near future Ill have to go through the process of switching dentists and getting x-rays all over again. Im not happy, this will put my much needed dental work out months

Had my teeth extracted due to infections and all was great! Staff is friendly, everything went smooth. Received my temporary denture which was also great. I received my permanent dentures and they are a mess. The overbite looks awful, they are so large that they make me throw up. Which During the whole fittings Prior to them being done I mentioned. But according to the technician they look fine and there isn’t any attention to make it right. What a waste of insurance money! My daughters “perfect teeth” have several cavities, her gums started bleeding and by bleeding I mean it looks like a heavy nose bleed in her mouth. They looked at it and send her home with some mouth wash, no one tried to find out why or where it comes from. We will not be returning.

They are always friendly and on time great staff and always ask about every detail which is amazing and they do what you ask them to and don’t force you like other places

We found this dentist office thru a good friend, which we were so glad they referred us. We saw Dr. Alverson he was nice, caring and patient with my Mother in law. We went to get a new denture replaced and work with Phelan, he was so great to work with, he explained everything he was doing and how come it would take a little to get the teeth back. He was able to match it so good to the other one so you can’t even tell and the color looks great. Phelan made sure each visit to go over things to help with gum pain and how to put the teeth in and out more comfortably. My mother in law said Phelan better not move (lol)now that she found a place she likes and is comfortable going. All the front desk people were great very friendly and helpful. This is a great place to go for dentures, definitely will recommend Palmer Park Dentistry.

Called them around 9 am and was able to get in for an emergency wisdoms tooth removal the same day at 2. The staff was very friendly and Dr. Alverson did a wonderful job with the extraction. 10/10 would go again and recommend to all my friends that have Medicaid.

After some turnover with staff and dental providers, there seems to be a more stable practice that is focused on doing the best for their patients. Dr. Alverton (sp?) is kind and comprehensive ( and a conversationalist). I was appreciative of the care I received and the information and opinion provided to make choices about my treatment. His philosophy is treating all people the same regardless of insurance or payment arrangements. Ill continue to go there for my dental care.

I have been terrified of visiting a dentist for 10 years, until a tooth infection got so bad I had no choice to find a dentist for an emergency appointment. I am so blessed that I ended up here! I was embarrassed of my teeth and nervous- they assured me everything would be fine and that my situation wasn’t detrimental and that really calmed my nerves! Also I have to say- great bedside manor from all the staff!!! They took me right away and removed a molar as well as wisdom teeth. The procedure took less than 45 minutes and was pain free! Dr. Alverson and everyone at Palmer Park Dentistry took the time to explain the details of the procedures I was having done and patiently answered all of my questions. The personal level of care they provided helped reduce my anxiety and fear.

All my experiences here so far have turned out okay in the end, but with a major issue at least once per visit. I came here because they quoted me a cheaper price than any other dentist in the area, but it turned out that there was a paperwork mixup-- it cost me more than it would have at any of the places I called. At one point, a medication they gave me reacted with another medication I was taking (which I told them about on my intake form)--no one warned me or seemed to mind that I was distressed. Lots of issues like that. They have incentives for people to leave reviews, so Im not sure the reviews here are 100% indicative of most peoples experiences. I think I may return to them to touch up some issues from last time, but after that I will probably find a different dentist.Edit - After a few months, Ive lowered my review to two stars, since in real life I tell people not to go here.Edit 5/17/21 - The original expensive issue I had, the dental piece doesnt work. It might be adjustable but I do not want to go back and deal with it. This dentist gave me different information than previous dentists, so Im not sure which one to follow. Hopefully I will be able to do an annual check up somewhere else. On the upside, I have special fluoride-enhanced toothpaste that they are still refilling my prescription on, and I hope its doing something.

I’m never returning to this practice. Been here three times over three years. Never saw same dentist twice and two of the three of them were very rude and condescending. Receptionists and most techs are nice enough. However, they make sure and drain 100% of my dental coverage for the year in one go and I’ve ended up paying more at the end of the visit more often than not, even with comprehensive insurance that requires no copayment. Of the fillings I got here 1 year ago, three have fallen out. I was told the fillings were guaranteed for 2 years, went in to get them replaced (they’re very large and causing discomfort in absence). They refused to respect the guarantee because I missed a cleaning? Seriously, after a year and maybe a week. Unbelievable. Their services are sub par to terrifying as well. They asked me to pay more out of pocket last time as well because they used my annual insurance allowance. This time because their fillings are failing they wanted me to pay more and claimed insurance would not cover one that failed because it’s already been treated; yet it was gonna pay the other two? Scam and possibly insurance fraud. Never again. I’m calling my insurance company to report this as well. Side note, I’ve seen two reviews that mention discounts for good reviews, as I was also wondering how in the world the place ranks so high on google.
